Great collection of art. Wonderful Dale Chihuly collection. Great place to spend at least a couple hours in out of the heat and humidity.
3rd Thursday lots of fun! Rooftop atmosphere very fun. Glass exhibit is great! Van Gogh display was very nice.
Wonderful French art and Chiluly glass.
We loved being able to see all the different exhibits, especially the Van Gogh exhibit. Thankfully we have the National Museum pass as we went their twice to see everything. Definetly very educational and a great place to bring children and teach them about Art in the different eras.
A unique blend of American art and modern innovation, the pieces amongst the museum's 3 floors of art tell a diverse story that keeps you amid the history of the 19th century with modern artistry and craft of the 20th century. I visited during the Mellon collection exhibition of French artists and impressionism which included Van Gogh, Degas, and Monet. 5/5 I loved the creative and emotional trip that ended with sculpture in the lobby that I honestly did not see coming. ✌️
What a wonderful museum! Beautiful Chihuly exhibit that warrants a return trip. The cafe is also lovely, with exceptional service, but you must book a reservation in advance. Super gift shop, too!
Café remodeled beautifully. Food was delicious and staff were friendly and attentive!
The featured exhibits are always really cool even though they don't have any hyper famous pieces. The rest of the museum features some much less well known artists but is still a worth while experience. The art museum is a good place to go if you're a tourist or just have around an hour to kill.
The Oklahoma City museum of art is very good. For us on a Thursday night it was $12 a person which I didn't think was too high. I would plan to spend two hours inside. The blown glass work is very impressive although our favorite exhibit in the museum was this old man climbing through branches of bushes.
This museum is collecting a diverse set of artists. There are high quality pieces, and there are new pieces that are intellectually stimulating as well as whimsy. The collections they commission are well lit and curated, even if the plaques are not level.
Had a really great time watching a great film!
Visited on a Sunday morning when the special exhibit was on with art of Monet, Degas, and VanGough. Beautiful museum and definitely will go back.
Museum was great with exhibits from masters and new (too me) artists.
Beautiful art work & knowledgeable staff.
Excellent collection with renowned impressionists /post impressionists like Van Gogh, Monet and Degas on one floor and excellent examples of modern art and glass sculptures on the other two. Would definitely recommend!
The OK City musuem was a fun day trip for me and my family. It took us about 2-3 hours to make it through the full musuem. The second floor was the temporary display and the third floor was a permanent display. Place was not too overcrowded, but parking near the building was a bit costly.
Fabulous show. Always new and interesting exhibits
Amazing price great art
Lots of amazing art to enjoy. Parking can be difficult depending on the time of day. Watch for free family event days. Sonic sponsored one recently with lots of activities for young children. :-)
Cool place to visit but not a lot to see. Don't expect to spend more than a couple hours here.
There's an awesome variety of art. No matter what you're into, there's something that will suit you. Plus, it's only $10 to get in.
We had a wonderful time here. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to accommodate my special request.
Lovely museum of all kinds of art. Fantastic shows of famous artists and Gillhouly glass exhibits are truly marvelous. Moderate entrance fee. Pay parking in downtown area. Very much worth your time and money. Museum attached restaurant is very good but a bit expensive. Plenty of choices for food nearby though. I recommended this museum and it's great for all ages and tastes.
Amazing variation of types of Art. Something there for everyone.
Super amazing visual feast! Chihuly exhibit could have been lit more for my eyesight. Loved loved loved it though! Van Gogh Monet, Degas show was a nice stroll with many other Artists peppered in and interesting placards. The third floor is a do not miss! The post war abstraction and geometric color and conceptual prices are visually invigorating. Highly recommend that you stop by the restaurant and gift shop. Order the burger at the restaurant. It was almost a highlight of the day, as much as food can be. Do not miss it. If you found this helpful, please “like”.
Elegant space with beautiful exhibits and artwork of various forms. We enjoy the Chihuly Glass very much! Have been multiple times and will continue to visit for years to come!
Best Old Fashioned in town
Took one of my boys. He loves art and he loved this place. They have some great art to look at and some hands on for the kids. If you have out of town guest take them here. The parking was easier then I thought it would be. Happy to have it Downtown!
The art was amazing! Enjoyed taking my daughter there.
Seeing all these French impressionists in one place was pretty amazing. They should have a place like the Oklahoma City Museum of Art in Paris.
Great exhibit on Dale Chihuly. The facility is very clean and has three floors of other great art.
You should go once. The paintings are pretty good. The street photography is just sad. It looks lile something done with an old point and shoot.
Outstanding Chihuly exhibit. One of the best in the country. Nice traveling exhibits. Rather sparse on permanent exhibits.
Really like the museum. Very nice exhibits and neat little movie theater. Their traveling exhibit area is a little cramped but still enjoyable. Nice gift shop as well. They do have a restaurant that has a good menu.
This place was awesome! I especially love the gift store. They have all sorts of trinkets at different prices.
The finest Chilhuly collection anywhere. Fantastic lighting.
Beautiful exhibits. The glass and art are phenomenal.
Current exhibit of impressionists is well presented and more than lovely. Thank you.
This museum has one of the best exhibitions of glass from Dale Chihulie outside of Seattle, period.
Great food and service at the cafe. Followed it up with a trip through the museum to see the Mellon collection.
I love the film series here - just excellent!
Great Food. Great Staff. Great Service. 5 star
I enjoy a smaller museum. The 3 floors I preferred as opposed to lots and lots of walking in larger museums. The Dale Chihuly exhibit was extremely enjoyable and I've always wanted to see it after hearing how amazing it is. We had several hours after checking out of our Airbnb to catch our flight so we thought we'd check it out. I thoroughly enjoyed the museum and never felt as if we were just killing time.
I came here because I enjoy Dale Chihuly's art and they have an impressive collection that is well laid out and shows his work to great effect. The first floor was closed when I visited as they are putting in a new exhibit, so I did get a discount to account for that. Both the 2nd and 3rd floors were open and I enjoyed wandering through. The museum had a nice flow and organization with a lot of information posted about the various pieces displayed.
Spacious & Wonderful Upon entering is a stunning glass piece of art by Dale Chihuly. They had an extensive collection of Chihuly on the 2nd floor. I never realized Chihuly painted too. We also enjoyed the Van Gogh/Degas/Monet exhibit which was set up nicely & a person is able to view each piece of art without feeling rushed. This is a must see when visiting this city.
Always a pleasure to walk the halls and enjoy all the art. If you have an hour or all day. This museum is worth a look.
This is a great place to go with friends or family when you want to enjoy some culture and beautiful art! The paintings and other art pieces are truly wonderful to behold!
I love OKCMOA, Come see one of George Inness greatest paintings, it’s huge and has a stormy sky, it’s like the cows are watching a tornado blow in from the west. We also have and Ellsworth Kelly painting that will rival any in any museum in the world.
Really enjoyed the Dale Chihuly exhibit Displays were small but poignant and well worth your time Definitely go see The city as a whole is a wonderful town with many neat things to see Plan on spending some time There are 2 police officers for every 100 cars and they do have a quota, unlike the state troopers who only have a “contact” quota Watch your speed and you’ll be fine
Dont miss the Mellon exhibition
So many wonderful things!
Friendly staff. Dalve Chihuly exhibit / installation was worth the drive to OKC.
Really like the special exhibit spaces. Cafe was great. Nice 2 hour walk through.
Especially liked the Chihouly. Well presented.
The musueum's permanent Chihuly Exhibit, revolving permanent collection, and visiting special exhibits are world-class and very interesting. The gift shop, educational programs, movie theatre and Café round out the great experience.
We went to Art Brew. Fun and the went to see musical swings. A good time was had by all.
The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is a masterpiece in itself. The museum is comprised of so many beautiful exhibits and artifacts. The place is really good option to visit with family. Moreover , the museum offers many activities for kids where they can have learning as well as fun. Learn while having fun.I went here with my family and the children in our family were very happy with this place. They enjoyed themselves and got to learn so much. The kids were so happy that they keep on asking about our next visit. This is a wonderful place.
Forget everything you know about museums. The staff encourages you to have fun as long as you keep your hands off the artwork.
I can’t believe it took me so long to get here!! I loved it!! My children enjoyed it too as far as I know... And if they didn’t they where both very fast to say omgosh mom that was so cool....
I have never been let down by OKCMA! We went for the "Victorian Radicals - Yuletide Night" which offered fun activities like ornament and card crafting, live music and of course access to the art exhibit. Had a great time!
Beautiful art this place is definitely a must see if you're ever in OKC
Wonderful museum. They continuously bring new exhibits to see. Just toured the Van Gogh, Degas, and Monet exhibit and it was breath taking.
Love visiting this place and seeing the exhibits they have available for us to enjoy. We recently went to see Ansel Adams. ♡
Beautiful, spacious and the art is mind expanding.
My granddaughter and I went (we both appreciate the arts) and enjoyed the art that was on loan.
Visited the Van Gogh, Monet & Degas exhibit. A we'll put together exhibition. Lots of new stuff in other parts of the museum too. Everyone associated with the museum provided outstanding service from the attendants, restaurant, front desk and gift shop. Really a great representation of Oklahoma City.
Really nice museum overall. The Monet Degas Van Gogh temporary exhibit wS wonderful and well worth the drive. Parking is a bit of a thing there. Unmanned parking lot malfunctioned and are a bunch of our money no museum layout map was offered but would have been helpful. The Dale Chihuly glass exhibit should not be missed. It is soectacular
Wonderful traveling exhibition if French paitings from the Mellon Collection. The special treat was a permanent installation of several works by Chihuly. Well worth a visit.
Great place. Ready to find and the museum is great. Definitely worth the visit.
For ticket price less than most movie theaters, you get to experience and amazingly rich collection of art and history. It really is amazing the a small state in the middle of fly over country has such an amazing museum.
A very interesting art museum. Mostly contemporary art.
One of the finer art museums I have been to.
My daughter and wife were treated with great disrespect while visiting this museum. The despaired treatment that they received was unwarranted and uncalled for. My wife is handicap and was rushed out of an exhibit area because the museum was closing. She was walking too slow apparently and the worker rudely told her to hurry they were closing yet there were several people of another race standing in the lobby. I will never patronize this place and suggest no one else does.
Wonderful exhibits, great layout, and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Loved the Mellon exhibit! Tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable.
Art is not really my thing but I had some mimosas at the cafe and walked around looking at pretty, interesting and odd stuff so that's a win in my mind.
Awesome collection of artistic glass, and a selection of many types of art, paintings, sculptures, installation art, you name it. Not a bad little art museum.
Great museum with fantastic events.
Such a vast array of art here. Lovely attendants, just a wonderful experience.
It was good. Saw a movie. Very clean
The OKC MOA is a pretty good art museum for the size of the city. The attached theater is a great place to watch interesting films you wouldn't find in most movie theaters.
Loved everything top notch loved the glass art.
Nice facility, helpful staff, wide variety of artists. Fantastic artwork!
We went to see the showing of the beautiful art of Monet, Degas, and Van Gogh on the last day of it's day at the Oklahoma City Museum with my husband, daughter, and son-in-law. We had a very nice time viewing the many works of art from the second floor of the museum. I was very impressed with some of the works of art by some of my favorite artists. I was also introduced to artists that I had never heard of or had never had the privilege to view their works of art. We saw as much as we could until time for us to view the main reason we were there.....to see the Money, Degas, and Van Gogh showing. Well worth the time we spent there, can't wait to go back.
Took my wife to the Van Gogh, Monet, Degas exhibit and she loved it
Van Gogh exhibit worth going to see.
Cool place. Cool exhibits! Cool way to beat Oklahoma heat!
I always love going to the art museum, I always go on family day when admission is free, but even the usual price is reasonable.
Pretty boring in my opinion, to be fair my type of place. I'm sure it would be amazing for the right people. The best exhibit by far was the blown glass Creative pieces very vibrant colors even someone who lacks appreciation for art like myself enjoyed that exhibit
The best part was the Chihuly glass exhibit. Three were also an assortment of art media and eras.
Food was excellent and portions were huge!
I love this place.
LOVED IT!! the staff was very welcoming and polite. I had such a fun time here. The art was beautiful and lovely
Disappointed because it would be more than 2 hr wait to see the great artist works by tour instead of going by yourself
This is a great place , If and only if you love art and you love museums. For me it is a safe haven. Big empty spaces, filled with things you can gaze at and silently contemplate, no disturbance at all. You can take as many pictures you want, But NO Flashes. There is an entry fee and the staffs and volunteers are supercool. I took so many pictures ,I exhausted my phone!
my friend and I were in Oklahoma City for a few days vacationing and where glad we did ! When she looked up the museum she noticed that Dale Chihuly had some blown glass art on exhibit. So we went to check it out and the exhibit was beautiful, him and his crew does some amazing pieces. The museum had a small video of him you could sit and watch before you go in his section to see his work and it was incredible on he makes his pieces of art. I think the museum is just the right size that you can walk around and see what the museum has to offer. The cafe that is in the building also has outstanding food. I would definitely recommend the museum and cafe if you’re in downtown looking for something to do !
I went to the Van Gogh, Degas, and Monet Exhibit. The staff was polite and helpful. Loved the featured artists and learned about a few more that I'll have to look into.
Beautiful building. Wonderful temporary exhibit. And the cafe is not talked about enough! Looks expensive but is not and the food is sublime. Best burger and salad of my life! Thank you for making me feel like l was somewhere grander than Oklahoma.
It was nice but not a lot to look at due to a floor closure while another exhibit was being set up.
Wonderful museum full of beautiful art! We were there for the Chihuly exhibit which was breathtaking!
I like it alot oh, I like that it is small enough that I can see everything in a day with time to contemplate what I really like.
Right before closing, I found a sketch pad and had to leave a little doodle if my own~ REO Speedwagon is best boy!
Absolutely gorgeous art. The Dave Chichuly exhibit was awesome.
Beautiful establishment, art it always changing. I fell in love with the exhibition, Magic and Light, by Dale Chihuly. It reminded me of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Went to the rooftop to have some sangria and listen to some music. Great date night!
good location nestled downtown OKC,OK
Beautiful Art Museum...great travelling exhibits; another 'must see' in OK City!
Great place, very reasonably priced even for special exhibits, and we love coming for films and the Oscar shorts in February!
The building is well laid out, efficient, and logical. Foe those who enjoy static displays such as the ones here. (Not me), the $10 fee and central location of the building should prove a welcome and engaging visit.
Great museum that's undersold on the quality of art.
It's always nice to stop in and see some of the art on display but we usually visit for special galleries. It's a smaller museum and the special galleries are hit and miss. The glass pieces are temporarily housed here and they're pretty fun to see.
We enjoy the art mesuam, they have many interesting exhibits. The Dale Chihuli collection is beautiful. The traveling collections that they have are diverse and interesting, some more so than others. It is a great way to spend 2-3 hours, and make a great family outing or date without overtaxing.
Had a good time. 3 floors of art. Was between major exhibits but still had plenty to see. Videos, paintings, sculpture etc. Even had an exhibit where you could draw your portrait and display it (including paper, clipboards with mirrors, and basic instructions). Museum scavenger hunt papers for kids to locate artwork within the museum. Stairs and elevators available. Places to sit throughout.
Nice atmosphere. The prime rib sandwich and French onion soup were delicious.
It was a great visit, both the permanent and visiting collections were awesome.
Watched a movie Classic ,The Wild Bunch on the big screen , the 35 mm version , very enjoyable !!!
Went today and had a great time. Sonic restaurant was there so it was free admission. The glass exhibit was incredible. The rest of it was great but I'm not sure it would be worth the $12 admission. One of the exhibit areas was closed so i guess it would be worth it if all the exhibition areas were full. All in all it was a nice family friendly experience.
It was easy to get to. It was easy to identify. The buildings in the area are beautiful. The exhibit I went to see was fantastic. The accommodations were top notch.
Always a fantastic experience, whether for an art exhibit, a film, or a meal in the museum cafe. Parking is much easier now with the parking garage nearby.
The museum is located right in the heart of the vibrant Oklahoma City downtown. They bring in wonderful special exhibits and have an amazing permanent collection featuring a stunning Chihuly collection. They beautifully curate ever-changing exhibits from the permanent collection, so it's always a treat to revisit the museum.
Fabulous exhibit of the Mellon Collection with great pieces by all of my faves like Monet, Degas, Renoir. Always have to stop in on the Chihuly exhibit which never ceases to amaze and impress.
Excellent! Monet, Degas, Van Gogh-oh My!
I enjoyed the museum and the collections. It seemed oddly organized at points. There was a cool film project, Fireworks, that couldn't be experienced very well because people kept coming in the wrong door and letting light in.
Great place, consistently stunning exhibits. If you get a chance for a guided tour, take it. One of the best parts is that the staff are passionate about the collection & presentation. There's something for just about everyone.
Beautiful blown glass display! Lots of other great artwork too
I love their glass art!
Come here for the Manhattan Short Film Festival every year and it's always something to look forward to
An excellent museum! Very well presented exhibits.
Great viewing of Univ of VA collection of impressionists artist till September sometime...3 Van Gogh paintings that I wanted to see. Theres one more Van Gogh down in Norman @ Fred Jones Art musuem on OU campus btw..if into Van Gogh. Parking was a bit of a pain...could not get the credit/ cash machine to work but not used to them anyhow...
I love this place everyone is so sweet
Some of my favorite. Enjoyed the classics as well.
Absolutely wonderful. Can't wait til June when they set up the Van Gogh!
Very beautiful. I got to see Monet and Van Goph paintings as the special event. I'm a happy gal.
I was pleasantly surprised by the interesting exhibits and pieces at this museum. We've been here twice and both times were well worth it! Parking is tricky in the downtown area, though on both occasions we were able to find a spot relatively quickly. Not sure if that was luck or the timing of our visits.
Had a fantastic time here. They had the blown glass exhibit while I went and I was not disappointed.
This place is wonderful. The exhibits of Dale Chihuly are remarkable. I can come every day and watch his beautiful glasswork.
Lovely place, great art. Nice place to beat the heat.
I am just in awe. This was a fantastic stop, we planned for an hour and stayed nearly three. I loved the glass exhibit, the portraits of the west were intriguing, and the abstract art has the occasional sign explaining just why they those it which was a nice bonus. I went here with my similarly college aged friend and I appreciated that the museum staff didn’t seem to be judging us on our silly energy and enthusiasm. They were present to keep the exhibits safe but blended remarkably well into the background. The “draw a portrait” sitting area was something we tried on a whim and after some good natured complaining we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The rest of the day everything around us just seemed more beautiful. What a lovely museum.
Call first before going to find out if they have events for the day or anything else for that matter very friendly staff really a enjoyable museum to go very pretty
I honestly had such a wonderful time! The exhibits were really incredible. Everyone working here was also super friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't gone to check it out. Everyone in my group found at least one exhibit that they really loved. It's just great.
It's a museum, but a good one!
Very nice and cool place to visit .
Top place to see unique art exibitions.
Fabulous exhibition of impressionist. Van Gogh, Degas, Renoir, Monet and more. The glass exhibition is incredibly diverse and interesting
Fantastic at gallery; really enjoyed the Chihully exhibit, as well as the Monat, Degas, and Van Gough exhibit.
I went just to see the glass sculptures but I enjoyed the other art as well. Especially seeing photos of old New York City. The glass sculptures stole the show. There were some on the ceiling and I actually laid down with my cane to capture the beauty.
This is a fabulous museum! Their collection is very good. Especially all the Chiluly (I hope I spelled his name right ) glasswork. They always have top notch traveling exhibits as well.
The free weekend from Sonic was amazing! We love art and doing family outings, so this was perfect.
Enjoy this museum everytime!!
Traveling impressionist exhibit is great. As always the focus of local collection is wasted on cheap installations like a fireworks photo display that projects on glass on floor is meaningless and dull.
Fantastic art well organized!
The glass art exhibit was everything you wanted from the back of a Spencer’s when you were a kid. Lots of purple lights in dark rooms. Best part is it’s a quiet place where you can get lost in your thoughts. I go every year and I don’t get tired of it.
The permanent exhibits are fabulous but the particular one I attended was a bit disappointing. While there were many recognizable names, it was definitely their lesser known works. The staff is always helpful, the gift shop has some unusual and affordable items. Would be worth a yearly membership.
The exhibit was great. Lighting needs improvement. All in all it was great to see such great artwork.
The exhibits were awesome! Really enjoyed the cool atmosphere!
My favorite part was all the security guards in skinny jeans.
Very enjoyable art museum. Nice permanent Chihuly collection (including an incredible tower at entrance) as well as changing exhibits. Plenty of docent/security staff to ensure visitors mind their manners. Oddly, gift shop had virtually no items specifically representative of museum’s own collection.
Went to theater for 2 sessions showing Academy Awards nominations. Comfortable seating. No one to monitor sound and a member of the audience had to leave and find someone to get proper sound. Can buy and take wine and soft drinks into theater.
I really liked it and enjoyed the visit to this museum. It is the first time I go and I was very fascinated. There is a great film project, Fireworks, the art gallery is very good and complete, every art
