Well preserved, small gift shop and you can tour the outside of the museum as well. They also provide various events throughout the year, recently, a Halloween family funfest with live music, kids games and horse drawn carriage rides.

This is an awesome place to visit in Wood County it changes several times a year they have a large stockpile of antiques they like to circulate so if you've been there once it wasn't enough you need to go again. We were there for the WWI exhibit. A lot of information, educational, inexpensive and a historical Ohio landmark. The grounds are well kept & docents are very welcoming.

Nice historical museum with lots to see inside the building and on the grounds. A lot of local history to see and learn. Nice to see and old oil rig set up a lot to learn about the past oil history of the local area. Been here a few other times and would normally always give it 5 stars but this visit the entire museum was converted to a WW1 theme which we didn't enjoy quite as much. Looking forward to seeing the originally set up come back. Plenty of parking and is very reasonable admission into the museum

I fall absolutely in love with this place Everytime I drove past it. The Rich history it contains, the structure of the present grounds, the extremely old cemetery it harbors, if I could live here I would. I remember decorating this museum for Christmas when I attended Penta, the staff said to stay within their limits because this place is haunted (that sealed the deal for me) I love anything paranormal. And yes, I saw the fingers. For those of you who isn't familiar with "the fingers" go have a look. You will see why. It is truly a sad experience for the poor soul who lost her fingers, but hey ... When Do you ever get to see fingers in a jar?

Got there just as they were closing so didn't get the whole tour. But friendly staff member talked with us awhile. Very well preserved and impressive facility. Current exhibit is on these types of facilities throughout Ohio.

Great place to learn about local history. The 2nd floor of the main museum is now handicap accessible via an elevator. Lots to see on the museum grounds too, many historical outbuildings and a nature trail.

I was at the Historical Center and Museum for Folklore and Funfest that's held every year around Halloween and it was really done up with halloween decorations. It was a bit chilly as the weather decided to act up but everything was moved indoors. The volunteers and employees do an amazing job to keep this place clean and put together.
