The museum does a good job of providing you a good overview of what is Ohio. There are lots of interactive displays for both adults and kids. We can’t comment on the village as it was closed for the season. It took is 2 1/2 hours to go through. Worth the time.

This place is pretty cool and great for kids to learn about all the main ways to preserve Ohio’s history over the years. Adult prices are $12 and college student pay $10(must show School ID though) I will be back because I want to explore their outdoors exhibit!

A very wonderful place to visit. There is so much to look at, even if there is not an event going on. There is also a very interesting indoor portion as well. Plan to spend a good amount of time here. I hope to get to visit many more times!

Amazing assortment of Ohio artifacts. Great interactive exhibits. I will definitely be back with more friends.

Amanda Graham

Exhibits are awesome but can't say much for staff. Very rude and unfriendly. With the exception of the guy working the counter of the food court. He was really helpful answering my questions.

Julie Gee

A great way to spend an afternoon. The 1950s house was a lot of fun to walk through.

John John

Attended night at the museum with the kids. They had a blast!

Sis Angel

Great place to chill, learn, have fun.

Cris May

Would have gave more stars if it wasnt for the rudeness of the staff and the unorganized way this place was. My child was very upset at how the staff for the village tour talked to her i had to explain that to a 7 year old that some adults dont have any respect for anyone. We still had more then half of the museum to go but we just decided to leave. Very disappointed and wont be back. The only upside was my kids did have alot of fun learning till the end.

moonie

My school had a field trip there, it was very fun. All my group wanted to do was go in the basketball part but other than that it was fun.

Must go place

This place was a blast. The kids had a great time and I learned a lot as well. I was especially enthralled by the vast number of skeletons and taxidermy. A must see for anyone, old or young, who enjoys Ohio's natural history.

Had a great time exploring Ohio's history. Plenty of things to entertain and teach kids of all ages. My five year old had a great time. The Ohio Village was also a fun way to step back in time.

Tamie Liebnau

We spent over 4 hr here and we could of stayed longer to see everything. We have 3- 11yr olds, 1-7yr,1-5yr,1-3yr old and they all had so much fun. The 50's house was the place to be. So interactive. You can play with everything in the house. This place is a blast from the past for us that are 50 and older. Pick up the phone and here conversation s and even a party line. Remember that

Eric Kuznacic

A great way to spend a couple hours learning about regional and state of Ohio history. I particularly enjoyed the walk-through experience of the Lustron manufactured home, as well as the exhibit about Ohio soldiers' participation in the Civil War. Great for all ages! (Visited in Oct. 2018)

Ed & Sherry Peterson

Wonderful insight to Ohio's past and what life was like in the late 1800s . Plenty of history and cultural galleries to wander through at your own pace. The village is interesting also. It takes you back in time to a progressing era in our world. A great place for young or old to enjoy. The onsite cafe has plenty to choose from for eats. I would give yourself at least 4 to 5 hours to enjoy.

Ellen Smith

Nice selection of exhibits.

Easy access. $10 per adult Clean Lockers for belongings if needed Lots of bathrooms Interesting information about Ohio Not for small children, although a few areas for them to play. It was just okay. The Library upstairs is interesting.

My gps struggle to find this location not sure what/who to blame for that. I enjoy this place and will visit again.

Loved the Country Living Fair.

New to the area, was fun learning about the local history. Not overly crowded. Enjoyed the museum very much!

As a volunteer at another museum, I have learned that lighting adversely effects the artifacts. Low lighting also calms children and helps parents control them. This protects artifacts as well. I enjoyed a full Sunday learning different things and imagining what stories these artifacts would tell.

The volunteers here are mean and have made my 3-year old daughter cry on three separate occasions.

Awesome . I want to revisit.

Mike Antonille

First time here and so many interesting galleries and a great event.

Eric Wickliff

Amazing immersive experience cover the all history in borders of the state of Ohio. Very kid friendly, but equally enjoyable for adults as well. The exhibits cover fossils to last year artifacts of interest and often great importance. Reaching from everyday life to walking on the moon. Professional athletics to high school and special Olympics, coving both men's and women's. Yes from 1880 steal leaders to Sarah Rahal(second generation Indy car racer). Daily life of all people's in Ohio from the ice age through near current time. Highly recommend spending a day here at some point in your stay in Ohio!

You don't need to be a history buff to enjoy and enjoy museums, libraries and villages in Ohio's historic connections. The Ohio State Center has several layers of interactive and educational exhibits, from the roots of American Indians in Ohio to civil war relics, changing communities, and the various stages of Ohio history. If you are a bloody fanatic, stop on the third floor of the historic center, where you will find a historical archive where researchers can help you discover detailed information about your genealogy. The Ohio Village outside the center is a special treat, where you can ship it back in time. Experience the life of the 19th century when you experience the actors and buildings of the ages in the 19th century architecture.

A nice collection. When looking at the building keep in mind before you go only the lower subterranean level is museum. The level with windows is wasted space and the upper levels are records. The museum if I can call it that is nice with 4 or 5 "exhibits" I would recommend bringing a flashlight if you want to read the displays. The lighting is extremely low in many places.

Steve H.

There are some nice displays here, but this was just average in comparison to other museums like this. The Ohio village was disappointing. Some buildings were closed and overall not as large as other living history villages. On an event day, I am sure that this is more interesting.

Such a cool and interesting area! Went with my girlfriend and it was a lot of fun to just walk around and see everything

Great for preschoolers! Even the exhibit on 19th century quilts had something fun and interactive for kids. Can't wait to go back.

David West

Wow. A real gem. You can see this place from the highway, but it looks ho hum. Go inside and it is well worth it. Highly recommended.

Alex Mendoza

Amazing museum with a variety of Ohio's histories attractively displayed. Once I stepped in, I was drawn to go to every room and look at the fascinating displays, facts, and articles of history. Great experience for families and friends!

Chris Cox

A good place to go to know more about ohio and its people and the past

Pinky Chan

I absolutely loved this museum. What an amazing opportunity to learn more about the nature and history of a place like Ohio! My favorite part was walking through the 1950s style house and play in the lifesized doll house essentially. I loved that we got to move things around and sit in the real furniture. It was eye opening when we got to see the comparisons of prices from the past to the present day. Times can change! This museum is definitely worth the trip even when it's not really near anything else interesting. Go here!
