The best place to go to learn about Springfield! The museum has so many interesting things and covers a wide variety of Springfield history. I learn something new every time I go there. Good, cool place to go to get out of the summer heat! The staff and volunteers are always super friendly and helpful!

Marvelously well done displays. Larry, retired history teacher, was the docent who took me through the museum. I learned so much about manufacturing in Springfield in the past.

It's not for little ones because they will get bored. I really think they should let you go around by yourself because we had a person take us around and he was only telling us the things he wanted to. He skipped over the things that the kids wanted to see. He said we could come back another time and see it. Which dissapointed the kids, because that's really what they came their to see. We left before the 2 hours was up, the kids was just to bored. This place is better for older people. So if you want somewhere to take your young children this might not be the place.
