REVIEWS OF Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal IN Ohio

Love the renovated museum exhibits! The cave was so life-like that we felt we were visiting Mammoth Cave. The whole family (ages 21 months to 76 years) enjoyed the Natural History's interactive exhibits and dinosaur section. Also, buying a membership is worth it if you plan on visiting more than 1x per year or have grandchildren.

troy whitman

Very cool place. So much history. Loved the Egypt exhibit

Mailman 9

Beautiful architecture and art in this historic landmark. The museum and other attractions make this spot a fun add to any tourist's trip through Cincinnati, and locals ought to visit more often!

Amanda 1978LimitedEd

What a let down. My son, 17, has always been interested in history. So, I took him here. I have not been to a museum since I was a kid. So, I am sure that this will skew my perception. Overall, it's a no go. $55 for 2 people to see 2 exhibits?

Jacob Harness

Love, love, love. Came here as a kid so many times, so many great memories. Between the water area, the play room, and the climbing place it's all great. And the museum part is fun too.

Kelsey Wallace

I LOVE this place, especially when the Egyptian Exhibit comes to town. The terminal itself is a showstopper. The museum was clean, parking was easy. The exhibits did not disappoint. I will say it was very overwhelming and confusing on what ticket package got you what and where you could go and not go. A lot of options, I only wish we would have taken our time to decide and ask more questions about it at the ticket counter. Overall though we will be coming back, we love it

Ashley Honeycutt

Extremely inexpensive and a great place to learn and have fun. There are 4 museums located inside this beautiful building that used to be a train terminal. Make sure you visit the lower levels of the museums especially the Cincinnati history museum. The holocaust museum was my favorite- very interesting and very sad.

Jodi Mccullough

Beautiful building. Staff is friendly and the Egyptian exhibit was really cool but the main museum was underwhelming. Needs more.

Asien Rose

My tour bus stopped here on May 23, 2019, but we only had time to take a few pictures outside. I loved the design of the building and the fountain. We got some pretty good pictures with the Cincinnati Reds Mascot too.

Andrew Garvin

Houses a couple decent museums (Children's Museum and Natural History Museum) and an OmniMax or Imax theater, but the building is a beautiful Art Deco (former) train terminal and it's worth a trip by itself (and there's no charge to see the central part of the building other than the small cost of parking).

Randy Schanz

Nice to revisit a place I had been in as a child. A beautiful building inside and out. Only bad things were food court closing at 3PM and high prices at the snack bar, as well as slow lines to purchase movie tickets.

Jesse Fatherree

Incredible historical building. Great exhibits. A must see for locals and tourists.

Moose Hass

Still doing some reconstruction. Overall, good. Wish they had more exhibits open. I went for the Apollo 11 exhibit and it was not very exciting. Small

Philip Haurez

Fun and interesting place to visit. I would like to come back

Ricardo Fisher

This soaring art-deco style train station was almost lost to the wrecking ball. Thankfully it was saved and turned into a popular museum center, housing several interesting museums, theaters and a library. I was just there to see the building, since it was (is) an historic train station, and it is magnificent. If you like trains and train stations, you really have to see this place! The views of the downtown from the entrance at night are pretty spectacular. You can go in and take photos at night, but you are limited in terms of where you can go. Only two trains a day stop at the station now (in the middle of the night) but at least it is still used by Amtrak as a train station.

Paul Dudley

Love this place!!! Been coming here for two decades now I love it even more now lololol!!

Amanda Miller

We went for the special Egypt exhibit and were suitably impressed by the building and the exhibit. We have not been since they did the restoration work. We were not able to see everything but the natural history museum looked great. The didactics are well done and all the staff is super friendly..

Gerald Harness

A great place to spend an afternoon even though some of the exhibits are not finished. The building is a national treasure.

Stephanie Luehrmann

Went to my cousins wedding. Definitely a beautiful location for a wedding. Unique places to take pictures.

Georgia Wright

Prepare to spend all day here. We have been several times and always enjoy going. Love the changing exhibits.

Mary McNeillie-Gross

As always the exhibit was expertly done! I was a little disappointed with the content. I was expecting more big peices but no matter, it was still very interesting & informative. The mummy at the end was very cool! The fact that these things survived as long & as well as they have is astounding.

Mike Reynolds

Great place to take children of all age's to learn and play with other kids, staff was very friendly, very clean, great activities would highly recommend it..

Alicia B

Really cool, very large. Great place to spend an entire day or a few hours. Fun and educational for kids or adults.

JAMES FERRELL

It was nice, it just seemed like there wasn't a whole lot of exhibits. Zero information on Native Americans, the Mammoth is in storage. I felt a little let down. The Cincinnati history exhibit was cool though.

Nathan Bellows

My family LOVES coming here. From the Natural History and Science Museum to the Children's Museum, this place has hours of entertainment in store for the whole family.

Barbara Grooman

What a beautiful building! A must see for lovers of Art Deco architecture and detailing. The rotunda mosaics appear brighter and more colorful. Renovations have brought brighter light and it seems like all surfaces and structural components have been addressed. There is much to see and appreciate here. Plan a visit.

Randall Dunn

Lot's to see and do. Very large inside. I feel like some things could be better

Julius Mouse

The place has a lot to offer for people of all ages. I just wish they had historical Cincinnati souvenirs associated with the history side of the museum. Most souvenir options consist of just science related items. But the staff is friendly, the displays are interesting, and the play area is good for wearing out a kid.

Michael Ramsburg

Besides the building itself being a work of art, the collection of artifacts is a treasure. The scale model of the city in the 1930's is amazingly detailed. We were there for 4 hours but could easily have spent twice that and still not seen everything there was to see.

Miles Bowden

We went for the special Egypt exhibit and were suitably impressed by the building and the exhibit. We have not been since they did the restoration work. We were not able to see everything but the natural history museum looked great. The didactics are well done and all the staff is super friendly.

Rick Braunwart

Awesome experience my grandson loves the children's museum

Frank DeTank

They have had a significant amount of their museum closed for renovations for the past year. They just finished up a major portion of those renovations and opened up their exhibits again. One may expect the experience to be better than it was prior to to renovations and it was not. The train exhibit only had one of it's time periods displayed and the science museum appeared identical to what it was before the renovations--very tight and small. However, they did add the Armstrong space exhibit which is very nice and informative. I'd say this is a key site to visit if you are new to Cincinnati or looking for something to do with children as a one-off but I would not get an annual pass.

Michael Knepfle

Great place for kids and adults. There are things to do for both. You can bring a snack in or purchase food in the museum. Bathrooms are clean. There is a large play area downstairs where kids can spend hours exploring and learning. Wind, water, pulley systems, and puzzles. So much fun. I would recommend it for anyone looking to have a family day out.

Steve Wilson

They did a great job with the restoration of this historical landmark in Cincinnati. This place is a must visit! The museums are first class and the I Max theater is also great. It was also renovated with a new screen and sound system. Plenty of parking at a small fee. Museum is easy to get to, right off the I-75 exit.

EPX

Amazing! Such great exhibits. I visited the holocaust museum and was so well put together. There where so many other exhibits. I would recommend this to any age group and person. However, bring comfortable shoes. Your gonna be standing a long time. Bring your own drinks. There snack bar is movie theater prices.

mikey walter

Great museum. I think they are still doing some work. Can't wait till the Apollo 11 section is all ready for the public.

Q O

I usually enjoy visiting. Sometimes the traveling exhibits are really interesting. The Theater is neat. I wish they would update some of the existing exhibits, as they have been around for a while.

George Seurkamp

Beautiful facilities. Cuba is a well done film. Price for seniors Is reasonable.

Marty Harrington

My favorite place in Cincinnati! Art Deco masterpiece. The fountain is wonderful, with water flowing down steps. The rotunda of the building is astoundingly beautiful. The ice cream shop is quaint with original tile work. The museums are excellent, and the layout is a creative use of what had been a railroad terminal. Note: pay for parking inside at a little kiosk by the ice cream shop before you leave.

Natural Living

It's an amazing place. Plan on spending at least four hours. I saw the Egyptian exhibit, it was fantastic.

Julia S

We went to the new science part of the museum; the dinosaur bones are so cool! And my toddler loves all the interactive parts of the exhibits. All the staff were very friendly. The new dining options look delicious and health, though a little pricey for our visits. I love the option of packing our own lunches. The kids play area is a nostalgic reminder of my childhood but better

Mark Brian

American history every city own foundations early beginnings as a city for self to be proud of the culture. Cincinnati museum great Display The museum just finish the remodelled by unpacking exhibits for display next year up a running I recommended great place for Children known began Learning the history of the city also got playground food outlets family’s also Disability people with wheelchair access got lifts better also get coffee at museum walking look at the display of museum

Benjamin Hunt

The building itself is a gem in the community, with beautiful Art Deco architecture and the grand rotunda. The Cincinnati Museum Center is a great tenant in the building with lots for families to do and see. We checked out the special exhibit (Destination Apollo) and were quite impressed. The Cincinnati Museum and the Natural History and Science Museums were also cool, however, they are still working on filling them since the renovation. Lunch was good and reasonably priced for a museum (two meals for $20).

Ben Pearson

A nice museum. Really enjoyed the art in the Audubon exhibit.

Lindsey Nemcek

Neat venue but not much of a museum inside. Good children’s museum but their history museum is still under construction. We visited on the annual 1940s day so there was lots going on to take up our time including a plane flyover.

Jeremy Simms

We've been several times, but this was the first since the renovation. The museum has improved. The entire family loved it, from forty to four.

Cherese Capadona

A Cincinnati must! Gorgeous, historic, art deco building. Perfect family outing. Be sure to finish with ice cream in the Rockwood ice cream parlor.

Olga Cepec

I have been to this museum in the past and feel like it has gone downhill. Half of it was closed, but still charged full price. I loved the ice age exhibit and the cave. Both of them were closed. The staff had no idea what the future of those exhibuts would be. Very disappointing. They had an Egyptian exhibit that was very good and the kids area. But very crowded, due to the rest of the museum being closed. I really hope they reopen the cave and ice age exhibit. It would draw people in.

Jim Feldman

Spent the morning here entertaining a three year old. He loved it. There are multiple venues that are great for adults as well.

R Ravi

A must watch museum around Cincinatti area. We visited this spring and thoroughly enjoyed it. This building contains multiple attractions inside. Cincinnati natural history museum which has multiply exhibits for children to explore history and science facts like sound, air pressure, ...etc. The Cincinnati history museum has history of locomotives and other industries around the area. The Dukes energy museum is more children’s play area, best suitably for small kids. We enjoyed volcano movies in Omni max theater which has good sound effects. Best indoor attraction works for any season. Worth spending one full day with early start from open time of all exhibits.

Sarah Wainscott

I've been visiting for over 20 years, I love all the work they've done top update exhibits and keep the building beautiful. Natural history museum is my favorite, lots of fossils and a mini cave system to explore. The rotating special exhibit space always has something cool to see. In addition they have a tower in the back that looks down on a big train yard which is pretty interesting to watch the trains coming and going.

Tah-Shuh Tosha

Cincinnati Union Terminal embodies our nations history. Since the renovation today was my first time back and everything looks the same.. which is a good thing

Monique Mainville

It has multiple museums inside this art deco restored building: children's museum, science, city history, and special exhibits. I would say none individually are excellent, collectively its an interesting place to spend a half day. Children's museum was alright though not something that will draw me back (ball area was more suited to 7+ and water area for 2 and lower). Enjoyed the physics play area in the science area best, along with the large model replica of the city in the city history area. It is mostly stroller friendly, bathrooms on lower renovated levels are plentiful and nice. Do carry your tickets to go in and out of the different museums. What makes this place special is that the building itself is beautiful. Note that the stone and high ceilings do make for a very loud experience with the echoing of all the kids

Brandon Williams

Wonderful Art Deco Style of Architecture and the museum is cool as well

Tracy Stewart

We went for the special Egypt exhibit and were suitably impressed by the building and the exhibit. We have not been since they did the restoration work. We were not able to see everything but the natural history museum looked great. The didactics are well done and all the staff is super friendly.

Rachel Cobb

The best musuem I have been too. Every area has something interactive for children. Had a lot of fun and will definitely be back.

Ryan Becraft

Do waste your money. They are charging full price for a museum that is under construction and hardly anything is open. The Cincinnati history side, we paid to see and they have two exhibits open and it's nothing to see. Why do they charge you to look at nothing. Same on the science side. Not much is open but the cave. Don't waste your money or time. This was a royal disappointment. Will NOT be returning!

R Hood

This one picture cracked me up. Also be sure to get the audio guide as it made the experience better for the Egypt display. Please don't bring your small kids to the Egypt display as it's way over their heads and they will be bored. Be sure to check out the new cave and space exhibits. Very well done and the cave was spot on a Mammoth cave experience. They also have a new Holocaust section though we haven't gone there yet. Too much in one day.

Leslie Pethtel

What a pleasant surprise! Due to weather we couldn't do our 1st, 2nd or 3rd choices of activities. We ended up at the museum. We should have planned to spend the day there from the start! So much to do and see. Beautifully laid out. We will definitely be back!

Truman Brough

I grew up going to this museum. The building is absolutely beautiful, which is worth a visit on its own. The exhibits are always top notch. They are doing a fair bit of needed restoration on some of the long standing segments, but it is definitely worth the visit regardless.

logan ricker

It was a blast, I loved the Egyptian exhibit. Unfortunately, their Natural History portion was mostly closed down for renovations and it wasnt publicized at all. We went there mainly for an exhibit that was closed. A notification on their website would have been nice.

John Sappington

Great museum. Recent renovations have really made it a beautiful building.

Calli Levin

I was really impressed by how intricate all of the exhibits were. It is a very immersive experience--and good with it without kids.

Pat Marcus

We went for the special Egypt exhibit and were suitably impressed by the building and the exhibit. We have not been since they did the restoration work. We were not able to see everything but the natural history museum looked great. The didactics are well done and all the staff is super friendly.

Skyler Martin

After the re-opening I've been two separate times. Sadly its just nothing like it used to be, I have a very hard time recommending buying tickets to see an hour's worth of stuff. Will be excited when they open at full capacity again, but sadly that's going to be a few years from what they said.

marcus evans

My daughter loves this place. Especially the children's play area (great if you want your toddler to sleep soundly at night). If you're local definetely spring for the yearly membership.

Michael Abel

We took the entire family. The grandkids really enjoyed all the inter-active displays and activities. We especially enjoyed the Apollo 11 display.

Stacey Adger

Drove by once years ago and promised to return. Beautiful old structure and the space is well used. Still appears to function as a stop for trains and buses. We saw the Egypt exhibit. Well laid out and lit. Hope to return and see more soon. So happy we were able to explore before returning to Youngstown following the state genealogy society conference.

Kathryn Wall

This place is awesome!! There are so many things to do and look at!! I'm looking forward to going again! Perfect for families-- young and older. Very clean.

Tristan Norris

I always enjoy my time here. The Museum center makes for a great family outing.

Matthew Weaver

If the exhibits were bad, the architecture would probably still make up for it. But the exhibits are great and feature something for everyone, even finicky 2 year olds who think they can do everything but definitely can't do everything. It's really a nice place to spend a Sunday morning.

William Knall

The Egyptian show was spectacular! This afternoon we toured the event and when you go, plan to be there at least two hours. They have the tours starting about every fifteen minutes so there wasn't any big gaggle and you had time to see evey installation that includes a real mummy! This is the first time they have had this in the US so I suggest getting there soon for this unique event.

M Langland

Great place. Kid loved it. Beautiful building.

derrick dunn

Great place to take the kids. They have a program called museums for all. If you have a food card it's only 2 dollars a person and they validate your parking. Lots of new experiences have opened recently. There is still a lot of empty space that I would imagine will have exhibits soon. I hope you enjoyed my review if so please take the the time to give me a like.

Paige Smith

We went for the special Egypt exhibit and were suitably impressed by the building and the exhibit. We have not been since they did the restoration work. We were not able to see everything but the natural history museum looked great. The didactics are well done and all the staff is super friendly.

Patricia Foster

Loved the Audubon exhibit and the gentleman that was there to answer questions was very knowledgeable and nice. Granddaughter loved the children's museum and the dinosaurs and the cave. I was disappointed in the actual natural history museum it's displays are very limited. I remember the museum from Gilbert and Reading and it was WAY better. This is less museum and more changeable learning experience. Enjoyable though

Jason Dorsey

Great Museum that just keeps getting better! Wonderful kids area downstairs. Awesome new dinosaur section. Has been closed for 2 or 3 years while they have a health E renovating and now they are slowly reopening sections of the museum. Worth the visit even though they are still finishing up some of the sections.

mike smith

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The wife and I went there. It took us 32 minutes from buying our tickets and paying for parking to looking at each other in the rotunda figuring put if we seen it all...we did. The whole experience cost more than a dollar a minute. If you want to go, park up front for free and see the beautiful rotunda.

justine entingh

theres so much stuff to do here its an absolutely amazing place love it! my favorite part is the cave its huge and you really feel like your in one!

Roger McElfresh

It's always a good time and everyone that works there is helpful and nice.

Blenda Crosslin

This was definitely worth the time in the money. Our children had a blast exploring all of the different types of rocks in the caves all the activities downstairs in the children's museum. Our Ages were 3/5 and 6 each one of them had a blast I would fully recommend doing this but make sure you have more than 2 or 3 hours. Because there's so much to see

pat hughes

I only went to the children's museum here. It is pretty awesome. They have a small child area and an infant area as well. There is an art area, construction, Kroger store, water area, ball area and a large jungle/cave area. My kid loved it. Around lunch time the place really cleared out.

Faith Finkes

This was the first time we visited since the remodel. WOW! So glad this beautiful building is being preserved and used. They've added another museum.

Cruise Cycle

I loved it. What a wonderful place. The City has also recently renovated the station to provide a better visitor experience and the definitely got it right. Make no mistake, this station, built in the 1930s, is still an in operation train station (Amtrak) as well as a visitor center, houses several museums and special exhibits, and has some of the best value for the buck restaurants you could find anywhere. This special place deserves everyone's support, and it's a wonderful destination for any family age toddlers to grandparents. And there is more that you could possibly see over numerous days making a year pass an exceptional deal. I visit a lot of places and write hundreds of reviews, and this place is definitely in the elite tier of family activity destinations in my opinion. Highly recommended.

Pudd !

with the Grandson...he had a marvelous time...next time I'll remember to save the water play for last

Matt Hawkins

The dino exhibit is really neat. Looking forward to coming back soon and exploring more.

Alan Colwell

Excellent place! Iconic and historical. Went for the Egypt Exhibit and also checked out the History Museum and the Neil Armstrong exhibits. Definitely wanna come back and spend more time!

Andrew Gadbois

Great little spot for some cool stuff. Wish there was just more exhibits but they're certainly working on that!

Bobbie Collins

My dad worked here when trains still ran every day for 15cents an hour In the early 50s .I love that it's still going with the times and able to adapt it's just GREATEST place to go don't miss out on a true peace of History

Huy Dam

It's very nice. Ticket for adult is $14.5. You can go in the nature science museum, history museum and the kid museum. In addition, parking ticket is $6 for whole day, from it opens to close.

Brandi Hayes

We went for the special Egypt exhibit and were suitably impressed by the building and the exhibit. We have not been since they did the restoration work. We were not able to see everything but the natural history museum looked great. The didactics are well done and all the staff is super friendly.

Agustta Stevens

Loved it! What else is there to say? Lockers, friendly staff, interactive things, saving that beautiful building!

Robert Japikse

Wonderful restoration project. The building alone is worth the visit. Throw in the special collections and the regular collections and it's easy to spend hours there. The terrific Egypt exhibition took a couple hours by itself. I kept think it was going to end at the next turn, but it kept going.

Christine Pringle

Went to the Egypt exhibit. It was very good. My only issue was there was no explanations of the various offerings at the museum when we purchased our tickets. We would have gladly seen other things while we were there. Also was no explanation of where in the building the exhibit was. We had to find someone to ask.

Adam J Laine

Always fun. Needs more ways to wash hands or hand sanitizer, but really great.

Christian Mobley

Went to the Cincinnati Museum with my son and his fiance just to see the Egyptian exhibit while it was here. I was amazed at seeing hundreds of artifacts that were from the times of the Pharaoh. When I was young until now I have always been interested in Egypt and it's history. The exhibit had so much information for us to learn about each object and the way they lived.

Katie Ballard

I love it here! All the exhibits are so interesting, and the museum center is laid out so that you can easily navigate all of the exhibits and oppurtinities without feeling like you are missing anything! Highly recommend!!

Matt Dillon

Love this place! So much fun. So much to learn. Great for all ages.

Jessica Myers

We got an annual pass thinking everything would be open before the end of this year. Apparently not. We were even under the impression that the entire natural history/science area would be opened before the end of the summer and all there really is is the cave. Annual passes are expensive... we got the one where we could also have someone else bring our son. I so wish we had invested that money into a zoo pass or something more “worth while”. The children’s area IS completely open which is the reason I’m giving two stars... my son loves it. But it gets old for me. Another thing I find totally frustrating is that your annual pass doesn’t get you into any of their “special” exhibits. You have to pay for those still. I would think at least while the majority of the museum is shut down they would at least let you into special exhibits with your pass. Will never ever again get a pass here and likely won’t go visit again for many years when our pass expires. Food here is also way over priced... you expect to pay high prices to eat places like this but this was even more expensive then most.

Alice Pinto

This building embodies beautifully restored architecture both inside and out. It would have been nice for the operating train terminal to be open/available for visitors to see. They have complimentary guided tours of the architecture however I did not have enough time to catch one-hoping that for the next time I may visit. The children’s museum was enjoyable for the kids as well as the small natural history museum. It is a great way to repurpose and utilize a historic building.

Amazon Querida

Restoration is still in progress but they've done a lot of work already and it looks great. The kids museum had plenty of fun, interactive areas for kids to play

SR Emison

Always a fun place to visit! There have been many updates since I was a child and when I walked up the front steps, passing the fountain I felt as if I was a teenager again, visiting with my family. Children's museum had so many fun, hands-on things to do.. The water play and kitchen were particular hits on this visit. There is some construction by the miniature city/train but still lots to see (yes, there's still a pretend

Chris Smith

My girls and I love going here. It is great for a day trip or just a few hours. With the remodel, it has added hours of fun time opportunities for our family. The I-Max theater is state of the art and we try out most movies at least once... if not twice.

SuZW51

One of the best science museums ever! Great for kids AND senior adults. Great that there is so much to do in one location ( history museum, children's museum, science museum, and IMAX)! IF you are in Cincinnati, don't miss it!

Lisa Hernández-Cheeks

Unique detailing and a beautiful atmosphere can be found at The Cincinnati Museum Center. The exhibits are wonderful and The Rotunda, exquisite. We were there for a Wedding and it was wonderful!

Dwyane Watson

This place is incredible, we spent most of the day here and it was really good to see everything. Loved it.

Carol

Loved this place!!! So much history! We took a free tour of the building! Wow! Thanks to Don the volunteer who showed us around! You will love learning about all the “3” s in the building! We expected more out of the Natural Science and History part, Children ‘s museum should not be missed if you bring children!!! It was great!!! People in Cincinnati and area you don’t want to miss seeing this beautiful building or anyone from anywhere will enjoy this best building!!

AKay Smith

I love this place. Been going since I was a child. Now I love taking my kids. There is things for adults and kids. Adults can be kids here. The ice age exhibit is my favorite. And the caves. The childrens museum is so much fun. The kids absolutely love it.

Norma Isaacs

A great family place to go and take your children to, they can learn while they play. My grandson loved it. We will definitely be going back! The atmosphere was great and the employees was great, they also had places inside to order food and gift shops to go shopping!!!

Jessie Holland

So proud of our beautiful Cincinnati Museum

Phillip Riggins

We really enjoyed our experience there at the Cincinnati Museum center at the Union terminal station. We've been there many times before but this time we saw more exhibits than ever. Very impressive Art Deco architecture and beautiful Designed paintings

K Humble

What a beautiful place! Take the behind the scenes tour! Really cool and you get to see places you normally wouldn't see!

Tony Kappesser

Great place for all ages. Kids to elderly people enjoy the exhibits and spaces.

Steven Salyers

Unique art deco architecture unrivaled in all the world- recently renovated museum is first class!

Angela Steinhaus

I absolutely love the museum center! The building alone is amazing and beautiful. The restorations have helped preserve this historic landmark. The standing exhibits are great, especially the interactive areas. They really get kids imaginations engaged as well as the adults. The special exhibits, like the current Egypt exhibit, are always amazing and perfectly displayed.

Papi Parsons

Always a great place to take the family... Fun and educational. A lot of local Cincinnati history!

Fred Bray

This was our first visit to the Museum & our main reason was the Egyptian Exhibit. The old railroad station was beautifully renovated. Everyone was super nice & exhibit was beautifully done and informative. We went at 10 AM when it open & didn't leave till 4 PM. See attached pics.

James Lawson

We really enjoyed our time with our grandchild. PRAISE THE LORD, JESUS said you must be born again, John 3:3,Are you born again??JESUS loves you so much.

amy may

LOVE looking at the inside of the building. The museums are great, and we really enjoyed the Audubon installation.

Allen Smith Hobby and Wargames

Called several times to get permission to video some of the exhibits for my YouTube channel. I left a message for the communications director and no return phone call. I called and spoke with two more people who assured me they would call me back.....no return calls. I am actually glad we will not be going because many of the reviews refer to the museum charging full price and all of the exhibits are not open. My experience has shown me this museum is VERY poorly managed. I was looking to make another video about fun things to do in Ohio. Guess this one is not going to make the list. Very sad management. Check us out @ Exploring with the Smith's....lots of fun things going on!

Aquarius Garnet

Looking for a place where your kids can have fun and be active. This is it! I love this place! My children our younger, so I love the fact they have toddler areas. Just recently visited for my son's field trip and the kids loved it.

Tim Grady

My son did a flash mob marriage proposal . It was very nice. They were very accommodating .

Brandon Schulz

It's a great place to bring a child. So many cool things for little ones to do. Not only do little ones have fun, adults enjoy themselves too. Set aside a few hours though. As there is too much stimulation going on. The price is a good value. They do offer food for purchase, but I would suggest bringing your own. I had a great time. As well as my 2 year old nephew. It was a great place to let the little guy blow off some energy and learn how to play with others. Whether you live in Cincinnati or are just visiting, you have to try to get here. The old depot is a great site as well.

Andrew

Needs another year (maybe more) to finish up construction, then hopefully will be much better. Very poorly organized. An engineers nightmare... Flights of stairs that go half way up then end right against a wall (cannot go the whole way) another flight that is about 4' wide then at the half way mark had a 3' diameter support column making people squeeze on the 6 inch space on each side. How can that be used in a fire/emergency. Also the museum maps do not show where the escalators or stairs are located, enter the main lobby (which IS gorgeous architecture) buy your admission get a map, example map, see that kids museum is on lower level then search around for the stairs or escalator (since none are listed on the map). Very nice area called the landing, done as a walk through of a lovely River boat dock and town, nice period piece, but just a small little section and to get to it you walk through enormous empty halls, bare white office walls with signs saying stuff is coming in the future. Turn another corner pass a modern white class room/lab then past another huge empty hall and then on your left is the entry to the landing. Once you walk through the landing, you then have to retrace your steps back past all the empty space to get back to see the rest of the museum. Has great potential, but looks like the designer/architect gave up halfway through (I'm sure had to do with money) and I know it just reopened this past November but needs more time to finish up. Or just better planning, instead of starting with the landing at the back of the space, start with what will be closest to the main entrance, that way people don't have to walk past empty white space to see one small display. Plus then you can work on the expansion without making people walk through the construction area first.

The Cincinnati Museum Center is a timely classic, old architecture and historical significance paired with exciting learning experiences and a plethora of exhibits. It has everything needed for a perfect day with the family: a wonderful children's museum, a dinosaur hall and Cincinnati history, rotating exhibits, and an unbelievable Omnimax theater. A true gem of Cincinnati!

Chris McCorvey

Much improved! This is a must see in Cincinnati. The renovated museum center is wonderful. You will seldom see such ornate art deco in any place in the United States. See it during the summer so that you can see the fountain. The upgraded omnimax theater should be included in your visit.

Honey Rechtin

Amazing renovation to an already wonderful facility. Can't wait to go back and wonder through the entire museum and terminal

Diana C

The art deco architecture and decor was amazing. The rotunda was gorgeous, and the ice cream parlor was cute and fun. The museums were interesting and it's easy to see that they're working hard to upgrade and add more to the existing space. Seeing the space re-purposed into something else was really cool, too. I hope other cities should take notice of that.

DeAnna Erdmann

we get passes every year. there is so much to do and see. definitely best as an all day event if you want to experience it all.

James Powell

Had a wonderful time at the Pharoah's exhibit!! This is one of the best museums I've ever visited. So thankful to have this so close to home!

Sally Stewart

We love coming to the museum center. It was a family tradition in my youth, and now it’s become a tradition for my family. The children’s museum is our favorite.

Sarah K

Remodel looks nice. Chairs downstairs in the new eating area are not size inclusive. Vending machines would not work properly. New additions to natural history Museum look nice, but they're not enough to replace what was lost. Same with Cincinnati side. Ride service to/from parking lot is REALLY helpful, but not consistently available.

Kim Grote

Horrible experience! I used to love this place. They are charging full price and there is nothing there. When I asked the staff about this, because we thought we had missed something, or took a wrong turn, I was met with attitude. She was so nice to explain to us that they charge full price for a half closed museum because "They have to pay for the renovations somehow".

Vanessa Rizzo

Always a favorite place for my family to visit. Took my 2 year old granddaughter this year, she had a blast!

Michele Helmle

Nice place. Took the grandkids on a rain day. They enjoyed it and so did we.

Mary McConnell

Impressive as always! I will say that for a big family the special exhibits could be a wallet buster...I spent $60 for us 4. Egypt was awesome, and we spent 2 hours exploring. Great gift shop. Its cold in there...bring a sweater!

Ben Rand

I have been going since I was a kid in the 90s and always love it. The museum center had been closed for the past couple years while some much needed repairs to the building were made. Now that it's open again, there is no place better to take your family in Cincinnati!

Amy Kibbey

The building is historic and is beautifully restored. The museums are great and it's a good way to spend the day. The parking lot (including the handicap spaces) is far from the building. If you have someone in your group who has trouble walking you should drop them off up front before parking.

lauren Quante

I had not been down to the museum since the revamp, the children's museum is amazing! There is literally something to do for children of all ages. Great social experience for the little ones as well as many educational experiences. My one and two year olds had a blast.

Sam Ryan

This has always been one of my favorite museums. The Art Deco architecture of the building takes you back to days long ago from the moment you head into the driveway. The exhibits are always rotating and the children's museum is always a hit for the kids as well. Anytime you have a chance. It is certainly worth looking into.

John Wilson

The art deco architecture is always a pleasure. Went to see the Egyptian exhibit. Worth the price of admission.

Sean Grossman

Love this place! Remodels are amazing and the food is actually very good, now that everything's been updated. Exhibits are incredible; from Egypt to Pompeii. Check out the bat cave, and when it opens again, ice age! Natural history area is incredible.

Brin Bwling

I see no reason to have a membership here. It's cool to do maybe once a year or to see a new omnimax show but the 2 main museums are a snoozer. Not much has changed

Joyce Mann

Awesome area for children, museum beautiful. Too expensive for normal families

Delano Mizrahi

Absolutely breathtaking ! Very well kept and maintained. Would love to visit again when I have more time to do the full tour.

Christopher Jay

Love the remodeling. We cant wait until its fully completed. Its looking great so far!!

Mark Gordon Mott

Very historic art deco masterpiece. Still an operational railway station though now mainly dedicated to several museums. The main museums are the Museum of Natural History and Science; The Cincinnati History Museum and the Duke Energy Children's Museum. There is also an OMNIMAX theatre on site as well. Finally there is also an amazing little ice cream shop tucked to the side near the entry for the Museum of Natural History and Science.

Mandi Lynn

Love love love bringing my kids here. Always clean, fun and just well maintained. Staff is always super friendly and happy to help and talk to people. My kids always have a blast, so that makes me a happy mama.

Ally Whobrey

Favorite museum I've ever visited. Something for everyone and all ages. Omnax in the museum as well as 5d ride. Be sure to set aside at least 6 hours to see everything.

Adam Randolph

This is an awesome museum. My daughter wants to be a paleontologist and they have a Hall of Dinosaurs. My daughter is 12 andvLOVED it! We were also able to catch the last day of the Egyptian Exhibit and it was incredible. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

Joshua Huffman

The museum was way bigger then we thought. It was reasonably priced. It had huge areas for kids to interact and play. Lots of cool exhibits. Great for all ages.

Kristian Kowsky

The museum looks great after the renovation! I love the architecture and art in the main concourse looks just beautiful again. They're adding more exhibits and adding to the diorama of Cincinnati as well. We're going back at the end of September when the special exhibit will be on the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.

Paul Kern

This place is awesome! Super cool train station and museum. Tons of things to do and see. We were there for hours and didn't get to see it all. Lots of things to entertain kids.

Daniel Rodrigue

Amazing job restoring this station for all to see and enjoy pictures just don't do it justice you have to see it to appreciate the workmanship

CeCelia Rice

The egypt exhibit was spectacular! We will be visiting the other wings and exhibits soon. Thank you for a memorable time.

Joel Bartlett

I'm not sure you're actually allowed to visit this place and not remark about how absolutely gorgeous it is. Since the renovation the museum center looks even more spectacular, all the polished chrome and silver, the buff marble, and the tastefully redone art deco paints Mosaic and sculptures add just the Right touch of classy flare to the accessible, affordable, educational museum. the permanent displays are all high-quality, and the visiting exhibits have consistently been some of my favorite been in my museumexperiences. Plus the Omnimax theater is incredible! This is one of my favorite places to take guests, to go on a rainy day, or even just because it's there.

Joann Hollis

Historical landmark. Portal to other times and civilizations. Cincinnati treasure. Union Terminal/CMC has sentimental meaning to me, and they've kept it thriving through the decades with numerous restorations and exhibits galore, each of them phenomenal. Some tour guides may be a bit chatty for me (I enjoy marveling with more reverence) but don't let that dissuade you from going every chance you get and savoring every morsel of history and fascination it offers. Bring a friend so you can talk through the Whispering Fountains at opposite ends of the Rotunda. No matter how old you are, you'll feel a little like a kid every time you visit!

Victoria McDaniel

The children’s museum is great! It is however hard to keep track of your kiddos if you have more than one. There is no kind of safety feature that keeps kids from exiting the children’s museum. There is a lot Happening in a small area and it’s easy for kids to run from one thing to another. As far as the rest of the museum, there is not much to do. The outside of the museum is beautiful, but there isn’t much on the inside. It is not worth a membership in my opinion. We bought a membership for this year after the museum opened back up from their renovations and were very disappointed.
