REVIEWS OF Cincinnati Art Museum IN Ohio

Aaron Rodriguez

The art there is amazing. Although art is quite subjective I very much enjoyed it. Pretty building too. Although I had a friend accidentally touch some glass and a guard went all ape mental on him. That guard sure was sorry after my friend's chaperone showed up.

Ian White

Very well kempt, layout was easy to understand and navigate. Courtesy folding stools made for a great makeshift walking cane, made my trip much easier on my feet. Check out the burning man exhibit! I had no idea what it was all about or its origins, but what a wacky gathering.

Suranga Hettiarachchi

Enjoyed the Burning man collection. Amazing place. Didn't think it had a large collection of pieces. Highly recommend this.

matthew hellmich

Wonderful museum. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Rosenthal family room is excellent for the kids. In a beautiful area just outside of downtown Cincinnati.

Miguel Sarmiento

Great museum to visit during a weekend to enjoy its art collections. It count with a coffee shop and a place for kids. The entrance is free so I recommend it for the all family.

Mallory Goguen

Was lovely, impressive galleries and the food at the cafe was great. Recommend the club sandwich and the chocolate croissants.

Ashley Lynn

A fantastic day trip for kids and adults. General admission is FREE and there's a whole kids area with activities. Majority of the art is older and has incredible historical value as well. Mane pieces are thousands of years old. There's a mummy with an x-ray of the body next to it. There are also some amazing marble sculptures! Parking is free but can be a little bit of a walk. Def worth a trip! :)

Stephen Pedron

This is easily one of the best art museums I have gone to in ages. The building is absolutely beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the exhibits were next level. You also cant beat the free admission price!

kH mâck

Exquisitely equipped with only the highest of art. Me, a simple commoner, entered this edifice oblivious. What transpired was nothing short of a metamorphosis. For I left that day a true man of culture. 4/5 needs more anime.

Nannatte Chaney Bishop

Art After Dark so much fun looking at the people dancing with their headphones on no music out loud it was Art itself in motion

I visited the Cincinnati Art Museum for the 1st time on May 23, 2019 and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I felt that there was something for people of all ages to enjoy. The Pinocchio statue outside was my initial draw. My 2nd draw was the beautiful cobalt blue glass structure hanging from the ceiling of the lobby. Every staff member I interacted with was pleasant and very helpful. I had lunch in the cafe and my meal was fresh and delicious (Chicken Salad on a Croissant with Seasonal Fruit). The staff at the cafe was pleasant and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend adding a visit to this museum to your list.

Trevor Williams

CAM is a beautiful place to visit. Even with every exhibit hall not filled it is hard to see everything. I was fortunate to see most of the burning man displays. Tons of great information on every piece and the best part was admission was free!

Jennifer D'Hondt

This is a great place to walk around. We took a day trip to Cincinnati and to blow some time in between things we had planned we went here and it was really nice. I would definitely recommend someone to go!

Gina Ogden Ellis

One of my favorite places to go in Cincinnati. We are so fortunate to have a great art museum with free admission! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The gift shop has a wonderful selection. Restrooms are clean. Parking is also free and convenient. The only issue I saw was two older folks were struggling with the stairs. I am not sure if there is a handicap accessible entrance. If someone else knows, please advise. Overall I love spending time here.

Margaret

Great place. Go and visit for a few hours and see some awesome pieces of art!

Amanda Miller

The Cincinnati Art Museum is a great art museum that carries a large variety of art. The museum has pieces from the classics and modern artists as well. Further, the building itself is very beautiful and a nice aesthetic experience that will heal your soul in the middle of a bustling city. The Cincinnati Art Museum has a large feature on the glass work that was made in Cincinnati and the greater Ohio area. This unique glassware collection is worth a visit for its local artistry..

Art Museum is free (donations accepted) and a wonderful rainy day experience for the ENTIRE family. By the mummies is a children's area with free art projects, floors of artistic masterpieces by famous artists. Last Friday Evening of the month there is a band with option to purchase drinks/food.

Judy Frederick

Fun and educational visit! Enjoyed the meditation and mindfulness tour, exercises and bracelet making!

Joseph Wagner

A must see for anyone living in or visiting the Cincinnati area and is a great asset for the community. The quality of the collections and exhibits make this feel like a museum in a much larger city and the views of downtown from the parking lot are some of the best around.

Elyntrea M

Free admission and cheap tickets to the special exhibits.... everything we saw there was BEAUTIFUL and educational! We spent HOURS out there just enjoying everything. There is so much to see and the place is huge! The cafe inside is lovely as well. So worth it to go there. I recommend it to everyone!

James Jackson

Great museum. Great exhibits. Pretty varied collection. And it's free (please remember to donate)! Parking was limited. Get there early.

Love this place, free entry and great collection of art, murals and craftsmanship dating back as old as 3000 years or more. They also change the themes, which is nice if you want to visit every now and then. The modern arts section is a great way to patronize up and coming artists and will only get better with time. Also, you can host parties, the sorroundings with City view is lovely. Their gift shop is small but has always something that you can buy. Highly recommend a visit if you are in Cincinnati.

Danielle Gerdes

A great place to bring the family, though generally suited for older children. Best part about the art museum? Its free!! What a blessing.

Lisa Whelpley

Free admission and parking makes this an excellent choice while vacationing in Cincinnati. It's easy to get around and the docents are knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the Burning Man exhibition which was placed in multiple locations around the museum. Don't miss the Rockwood pottery. You can see its history. Very interesting.

Mark McLean

The museum is a tribute to the city's public places. The surrounding park is beautiful. It offers important works in glass, sculpture, craftsmanship, and painting as well as other mediums. A great majority of the world's important artists are represented from all periods. Thanks to the support of local businesses and private donors this great treasure is free to the pubic .

Ray Ash

A great place too tour pin a raining day if you have no plans. Or just want to clear you head.

Rachael Otto

Great activity to do for free. Recently enjoyed the Burning Man exhibit, can't wait for the next one!

danny b

My first time going to an art museum and it was stunning. It's free so you dont gotta worry about money if you wanted to bring the kids along. Its also in a very nice area, I alone liked the drive just to get there because it passes a park. It's also near by a plant conservatory which was also lovely. Very beautiful place.

Holly Moore

It was a really awesome experience!! The staff was extremely helpful when it came to finding your way around and very informative about the art that was displayed! I will definitely be returning very soon

radviber93

Always love coming here. The staff is always friendly when you ask questions. The permanent exhibits are always interesting and the traveling exhibits are so cool. I came specifically for the Burnin Man exhibit and it was absolutely amazing. And it was all free!

Michael Ramsburg

A fantastic collection, knowledgeable staff, free admission and free parking makes this a must for anyone visiting the area. My family of 4 spent 2 1/2 hours there for no cost whatsoever. Compare that to other entertainment options. Even if you have never been to an art museum before, you have literally nothing to lose

Jessica

There is art from all periods, the baroque section is very well executed and the traveling installations are magnificent.b

A truly important American museum. Visit often and learn!

Gary Bayer

Despite being a regional museum, the curators have put together works of excellent quality. Of particular surprise it's the Cincinnati artist exhibit--much higher quality than should be expected of local artists. The Burning man exhibit put an exclamation on our visit.

Pop/Off Marketing

An excellent collection of classic art gathered into one, free museum. I enjoy coming here during the weekdays to relax and stroll through the various exhibits looking for beautiful pieces. Any art enthusiast would appreciate this museum.

Melissa Hallinan

A must see if you’re visiting Cincinnati. Such a diverse collection of art; there’s something for everyone. The people working the front desk were so kind & couldn’t have been more helpful. Parking can be hard to find, and I had to drive around a couple times before a spot opened up, but it’s worth it! Very glad to have gotten the chance to go through it.

Don Williams

Some good pieces here. A very nice Chiihuly chandelier in the lobby, and Burning Man installations all over.

Jorge Paulhiac

I didnt expect the museum to be this big. It has lots of srt and it is very well organized

Leah Schroeder

Look for the special evening events. They serve wine and appetizers during their Art After Dark events and it's a great way to see the art in a casual setting after work. Art collections are impressive and the special exhibits are usually interesting.

Rebecca Oliphant

Not really feeling The Burning Man exhibit and not great signage on the third floor. Missed a Pollack because I could not find my way around. But it is free and that is a great plus.

Brian Rode

Really cool place to see some amazing art. Right now they have the burning Man exhibit going on so you get to see some really cool works of art. I would highly recommend this place for all ages.

Tracy Spears

Love this place, took my son tryed to teach him a thing or two everyone should go at least onced.

Melissa Moore

Museum was fabulous, it was very cold in there though even though it was 94 outside, highly recommend pants and a sweater.

Dana Hill

Gorgeous museum located in the beautiful Eden Park. Free admission, you only pay to get into certain exhibits. The museum is huge, with plenty of different art styles from many different eras and cultures. You could spend hours here. They have Art After Dark on weekends, which is free and includes live music. Definitely a great place to stop in Cincinnati. Located close to downtown Cincinnati.

The Andrews Group LLC

Open to the public and free to see most exhibits on display. If you've never been, you should definitely go. Great place for a date, or a day out with the family. There is something in here for everyone, and you won't regret spending your time here.

D Couch

Burning Man exhibit was so amazing. I loved that it was throughout the museum. However, I wish I had time to revisit it...so much to wrap my head around. The Temple was a great intro and like the interaction. I would definitely be a FOMO in Black Rock City! Give me more! And you did. The folk art really spoke to me. Oh, and then, Kimono! Be still my ❤. One of the most memorable days I have had in a while. Cincinnati Art Museum has blessed me one again. Thank you!!

Jenny Voorhees

This is one of Cincinnati's gems! Free admission and free parking make this a must for everyone living or visiting in the area. They have a great collection of art along with short term exhibits which typically stay for about 3 months. (Some of these do cost about $10 to attend). A multitude of classes/lectures for people of all ages, a cafe, and the best gift shop in town! For those who prefer a tour, the docents are dedicated volunteers who are eager to share their love of art. There is definitely something for everyone who visits!

Elisa Smith.

This is a great place to spend the day. You could go here all the time and always have more to see.

Patrick Conomy

Saw the Burning Man exhibit here which was really cool but loved their permanent collection as much or more. Had a good bite to eat in the cafe and the gift shop looked great. You can’t beat the free admission. This place is really worth a visit.

Rusty Mudd

Fantastic collections and displays - FREE ADMISSION!! Go see the Burning Man exhibit before it leaves. Absolutely awesome!!

CINDY BRODKORB

Went during the Cincy fringe Festival. Very fun and interesting. The museum is a beautiful piece of architecture And a work of art all its own. The inside had hands-on exhibits,Classic works of art. It filled all my senses and satisfied this layman’s inner art lover

Hunter Shoemaker

The kimono exhibit was huge and informative on dresses and fashion from old to current.

Amanda Tolle

One of my favorite museums! There is always something new.

Jeremy Hopkins

With a great history of local artists, we loved it! We allotted 4 hours to tour, but it wasn't enough. Definitely an all day trip. Bring a camera, but be mindful some works dont allow photography.

Sheryl Bringman

Free admission allows for short visits. One doesn't feel the need to "see everything" to get your money's worth. I like to go for about 1-1/2 hours to see a few things and then go back and see something different. Wonderful traveling exhibits, some of them fairly small but great jewels. One of my favorites was the Albrecht Durer exhibit late in 2017, worth it to see less "well-known" artists.

Ileah J

Beautiful building and location with some really fantastic exhibits. A nice variety of art from various periods, styles and cultures in what seems to be the permanent collection. Came while The Burning Man exhibit was there and it was really well done. Loved it.

Jason Brewer

Incredible museum located in beautiful Eden Park. The art museum is a fascinating place. It's not just paintings hanging on a wall. There are also examples of sculptures, tapestries, tiles from Rookwood Pottery, furniture, a dress made of glass(which still blows my mind) and yes, there are paintings hanging on the wall. Some people hear museum and might start to think this could be expensive. Not this museum...incredibly admission is free and parking is also free in the Art Museum's parking lot. The only thing a trip to the museum will cost you is your time and some gas.

Jim Bridges

Nice museum. Good thing to do for something to do. Can't beat the admission!!! Would recommend for something to do or a place to go. Parking is available, however may have to drive around side/back of building. Even with lot pretty much full, once you are inside it is not crowded

Rocky Ray

I'm from Columbus and we have an art museum but, I like this better. To top it all off, free general admission. My whole family loved it. Definitely would make a trip back.

Juston Fletcher

Great place friendly staff a great collection of art and special exhibits. Matisse Picasso. Joan Miro. Renoir an All Star Game of famous artist s

Brian

Been coming here since I was a kid. Peaceful place to get away from the rat race.

Curcio Stapleton

This is s true gem, considering the entry is free. It is open late on Thursdays (up to 8 pm) when most other museums and places of attractions in the city close at 5 pm. Also, we happened to land there slightly before 5 pm and were informed that all special exhibits (which have separate entry fees each) were free between 5 and 8 pm on Thursdays! We visited the first floor (a huge collection) before we took a guided tour of "Paris 1900" a new special exhibit around 6:30 on the second floor, which was another unexpected and unplanned but extremely enjoyable experience. Our docent was very knowledgeable, patient and explained everything in layperson terms, making it an enjoyable experience even for my 13-year-old son! Not to be missed.

Jesse Cupp

Impressive collection of beautiful pieces in a lovely facility -- and IT'S FREE!

Su Meck

The Burning Man exhibit was fabulous! I especially loved how the museum had the different rooms of Burning Man exhibits throughout the museum and not just in one area of the museum. The stark contrast between rooms of Renaissance paintings and Burning Man artwork was exceptionally effective! Good job Cincinnati Art Museum curators!!

Lisa Austin

Came to see burning man exhibit. Plopping that down in the middle of galleries was a horrible idea. Really killed the wine when there is other art all around it

Jeanne Grimes

Interesting and free what more can I say y'all should go check it out

Nicole J

August 2019. Burning Man exhibit and some paintings. Definitely make this a must visit if you're going to Cincinnati.

Maggie Lohman

Not only is it FREE and FREE parking...its beautiful!! And lots of variety of displays. Don't miss out..if in town..won't dissappont. They were VERY busy today( probably because of the 95° temperature) and it was hard to find a place to park- but I was told they were unusually busy.

Wilfredo Crespo

Had limited time, but enjoyed what we were able to see. Great price.

Pat Marcus

What an incredible way to spend the afternoon! The exhibits are varied, well laid out and maintained. There’s a nice flow and plenty to see for the whole family. Nice education area for the kids and amazing architecture is an added bonus. We paid the extra for the Fabric of India exhibit and were blown away. It closes soon, so get there if you can!

Cincinnati you have an awesome place here. This art museum is world class! The admission is free. Their collection spans from 6000 years ago to what seems like yesterday. People this is a place you CANNOT miss. Please, I implore you to visit!

Wonderful place with many different types of art--paintings, photos, furniture, jewelry, Egyptian, African, and everything else. The Burning Man exhibit was included in free admission and really added to the trip as we have been visiting art museum for over fifty years. Never fails to amaze.

Cozmic Mae

I love the exhibits they show here. I love how there's inspirational quotes throughout the museum. I enjoyed getting to see art from all over and was absolutely grateful that is was free. It's always a great thing to be able to both learn and be inspired. This place is amazing and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I would definitely recommend this museum highly. It's a great and free outting with a wonderful selection of places to eat nearby

Chasity Kollar

Free!!! We went to see the Burning Man exhibit which was wonderful. The museum is laid out well and has everything from mummies all the way to modern art. Being in Eden Park, its close to enough stuff to make for whole d as y of cheap family fun. There is a room for kids to explore and make crafts for free as well.

Zechariah Parrish

Great place, love art museums already and this one is beautiful. I love the art here, they have all kinds of paintings and sculptures from famous artists here. Would highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys art. Especially if you are close or in Cincinnati.

Jessica Jennings

Wonderful museum! Lots of things to see so allow 2 hours to view it all. Also very cute kids area to engage your little ones. Leave backpacks and large purses at home. 1st level bathroom seemed kinda narrow for wheel chairs I would double check with front desk for a more accessible bathroom.

Tanya G

Amazing event. The museum was great, please visit if you get the chance you won't be disappointed.

Justin Kremer

This was definitely one of the greatest museums that I've had the pleasure of visiting. There is a special Burning Man exhibition which was extremely interesting. If you're able to get there to see it before 9/2/19, I highly recommend it!

Chad Mc

It was a great place to introduce my kids to art.

Malachi Henderson

One of the best museums in the country. Free admission. And lots of interactive family friendly activities.

Scotty Day

A beautiful place and it's incredible that a vast majority of it is free to the public. On another note they need more parking and the set-up could maybe use some work.

H Hummel

The Cincinnati Art Museum is amazing. I live in Wisconsin, but whenever I visit family in Ohio I come here. They have amazing exhibits and incredible history, including the special exhibits they bring in each month. There's always something to drool over, and always something for everyone. One could spend an entire day at this Museum and still find new things to look at.

Stacey

We loved it..I took my 13 yr old daughter and explored on a Sunday..we thought it was exceptional!

K Walton

Absolutely beautiful venue and spot! Went there to watch "The Divine Plan" and it was fantastic. Very much recommend for hosting events!

Amazing art museum, which I would compare, to NYC Moma. A vast and incredible variety of historical art to look and admire. I spent over 4 hours =, looking at all of the works of art. For free admission, this is a great value and I am very greatful to have been given this amazing and rare opportunity. Most museums, would never have a free admission and having access to all floors, except special exhibitions.

Ady Aradrimath

For Art Lovers..!! This is perfect place for connoisseur of art work. They have special exhibits all around the year. There are some great art works on display from around the world. This is a must visit place for art lovers if you happen to be in Cincinnati, Ohio. The museum has a very friendly staff and they provide the info you need. Above all it’s free but they do have donation boxes in some corners. You don’t just feel to walkout without being generous, so please do carry some cash :) Art pays and one must pay to enjoy and respect the effort that goes in creating it. Art lovers are generous to say the least..!!

Progna Ghosh Sengupta

Beautiful museum! I can spend hours here. Well curated. The Burning Man exhibit is amazing! And thought it has nothing to do with Art their Terrace Cafe is excellent too!! Great food!

M Cost

The oldest art museum in the country. Great architecture, beautiful courtyard, exquisite exhibits old & new. Saw the traveling exhibit about BURNING MAN, excellent & most informative. I love this place, a true must see of local, national & international culture.

Justin Hunter

Always great exhibits and events. I love this museum and it is on par with others around the world I have visited. I loved the India exibitnthey did recently and the current burning man exhibit.

Corey Twardoski

Hands down, the most interesting art museum I've experienced! And it was FREE! The burning man exhibits we're super cool to see as well.

Brandan Gravitt

Are you kidding me! This place is the Most Fabulous Museum! I can't wait to go back. My husband and I went, and we had an visit. The restaurant was great too, even though it was busy and our waitress got a couple tables outside, we just had to ask for the check. Not the end of the world. We were there during the Burning Man Exhibit Super Interesting.

Erica Moore

Lived seeing original pieces from artists ice studied aka artists I've loved. Great exhibit and collection to be seen.

Rachel Faith

What a gem! I love the location of this place. Beautiful, impressive collection of pieces! Went to see Burning Man exhibit, liked how it was placed throughout the museum! Ate lunch at the cafe, food was very good.

Dan Merhar

Special exhibits are usually quite interesting. The permanent exhibitions are worth visiting at least once, and certainly more often if you want a meditative experience. Eden Park is also lovely.

Thomas Adams

We drove to Cincinnati to see the traveling exhibit of the art installations from the Burning Man festival. The exhibit was amazing and I learned a lot about the topic. I was surprised that the museum, parking and exhibit were free on a weekend. The museum is located on a hill with a view and is near some nice parks for walking. We really enjoyed this daytrip.

Jason Hackney

We had a nice tour as part of our Mother's Day activities. The museum offers a lot of fun and learning at no cost. I'm recovering from knee surgery and utilized one of their wheelchairs. I had zero issues seeing the artwork on all levels.

Andrew Abbott

Free gets you in the door to this regional art museum. You'll find area artists from around 1800 onwards on the historical side with an extensive exhibit on Burning Man to round out the collection. Free plus noteworthy makes this worth your time!

Shane Robbins

Always awesome to come here. Showed my son the Early Christian art and then went to the Renaissance Era art. I loved being able to do this with my Boys. After that we went on to more Modern art so he could see the progression towards that type and how it invoked a Feeling of the Image on the canvas. I showed him a Picasso and a Van Gogh and asked my son how he felt? He said confused... I told him Excellent! That's exactly how they wanted you to feel. We also got to see some art from The Burning Man Festival. Real cool stuff to check out even if you're a Beginner like myself.

Linda Mathews

Always enjoy strolling through the Cincinnati Art Museum - love the Cincinnati artists section. Also watch to see what the special exhibits are - the Chinese Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit was fabulous. Good place to grab lunch, and the gift shop has some lovely items.

Selwyn Fernandes

We visited specifically for the special exhibit but every time I visit I always leave thinking what a wonderful job the staff do keeping the museum relatively fresh on exhibits for the free portion. It was an nice way to spend the weekend (along with a short picnic at Eden park next to it) especially with no $$ spent.

Leah Markley

This place was beautiful. The front entrance is under construction so it was a little hectic trying to park at first. All the staff were very helpful. We cant wait to come back.

Hope Henchey

I was not prepared for how awesome this museum is! And FREE!!! The current burning man exhibit (spread throughout the museum) is fabulous but to be honest I came for the Van Gogh

The Omniscient Tomatoe

I loved their exhibit on Burning Man. It was very well put together. Aside from that, the museum itself has a wonderful collection of beautiful art pieces. Fun tip: If you go to the top floor, you can see a paintbrush that was left behind when the finished the building. It's been there for years.

Jennifer Szczesniak

Very nice museum. I loved the Burning Man exhibit. They had such a wide variety of items. We walked from near the conference center so plan for a big hill if you want to walk.

Rachelle Price

Neat place, really big we spent over an hour there and didn't see everything.

Cori Williams

Loved burning man. It such a beautiful building with amazing art work. Such a treasure and it is free to the public.

Sharon Riechers

Delightful Friday evening. Loved the mix of the current exhibit with the existing collection. And who doesn't love cocktails amongst all that art!

Cristina McCracken

Hands down one of the best museums I've ever been to. I will be making a trip back down here specifically for the museum.

Sam Herr

There is not much parking if you go on a busy weekend but its worth it. They have a nice selection of different styles, now if they can just make the parking lot bigger I will say its a perfect museum and give them 5 stars

Michelle Katona

This place really blew my mind when we visited from Columbus for the Burning Man exhibition! It was evident that these artists put a lot of thought into each piece and poured their hearts into their work. On top of that, it was free to visit! I would definitely go back again.

Kristy

Went while the Burning Man exhibit was up, which was my favorite part. They also have famous artists here. With three floors of artwork and free admission, I definitely recommend going here. You could easily spend 2+ hours here depending on your likes and how much you read (which you don't have to).they also have a sit down cafe for lunch either inside or in the courtyard for reasonable prices (salads and sandwiches for $11-13).

Eric Meadows

I went during the burning man exhibit and saw much much more. The rooms and art seem endless! A lot of great pieces and a place you could easily lose track of time. Admission is free so it's a good place to visit with family.

Madman

First time here, have read online reviews and comments and was excited to visit, I was very much impressed with the level of exhibits here, the beautiful pieces of art and information was just grand, A very enjoyable experience, the next visit I may even do one of the tours they offer, this visit was just random wandering around looking at All the items. Loved the marble statues and pieces of art, such level of detail it's awe inspiring.

Suzanne York

As always, a great experience! The staff keeps this place beautiful and are always friendly and knowledgeable! Burning Man Exhibit was awesome!!

Diana C

Really had a good time at the museum. The Burning Man pieces were breathtaking. I'm glad we got to visit. I felt like we were able to see all the important parts in the hour that we were there, too. The furniture shown was so intricate and interesting.

Ceilidh Ahearn

Free admission! FREE. ADMISSION. Nothing more should need to be said, but I will anyways. Parking is free, there's plenty of it, it's easy to get to from the highway, etc. The exhibits are lovely and rotated often enough that there's usually something new to see every visit. It's comfortably climate controlled. The view from outside is nice. The courtyard (inside? does it qualify since it's internal to the building but external?) is nice as well, and has the outdoor seating for the in museum Cafe (which also has indoor seating, and lots of windows). You're not allowed to carry huge bags in, but I had no trouble bringing a regular purse and my camera bag. Turn your flash off- by the way. They're happy to offer a map or answer any questions at the front desk lobby area, and they have a gift shop (the proceeds of which support the museum, I believe). Great article museum, and definitely worth killing a few hours here. Some of their Chinese art especially is gorgeous.

Shannon Daniel-Waitas

I love the Cincinnati Art Museum. There are always fantastic exhibits, both the special ones that travel as well as the ones they keep in house. It is a beautiful building and is set in a breathtaking park with amazing views.

Kelly berger

Went to see Burning Man exhibit. Wish we'd had more time to spend. It's a beautiful museum!

Kaitlin Blatt

Jo-Anna Benton

Its a nostalgic place to bring anyone that can appreciate Cincinnati's true love of the arts.

John Wilson

Small as Museums go. However, It won't eat up your whole day wondering around endless hallways. Exhibits are worth while and you've time to spend on the works you prefer. When specifically to see the Burning Man exhibit. Really enjoyed it.

Kathryn Harvey

I lived in Cincinnati for 9 years, and had never gone. Took moving away to discover. Beautiful, clean, friendly staff.

Drove 5.5 hours to visit this museum & would not visit it again. I came mostly to see their Masters works, but the experience was ruined by the ambiance. Kids were running all around, playing, screaming, yelling. As one who has worked in an art gallery & has a degree in the field, having to step around kids & making sure you don't bump into kids while they're playing is something one should not have to do in a museum. This is the LOUDEST museum I have ever been in. I did not see any docents in the immediate area to assist patrons or manage the decibels in the galleries. I'm all for people of all ages experiencing the works here, I'm dismayed at the lack of respect for patrons from other visitors as well as from the staff.

This is a great museum and I always try to stop by when I am in town. Their permanent collection has a good amount of Impressionist's paintings and one of my favorite aspects of the museum. On this visit they had en exhibition of Burning Man paraphernalia. The cafe overlooking the courtyard is a great place to have a quick bite.

Historical displays as well as art across all time periods. Pieces by world famous artists. And a beautiful building too, which is large enough for the variety but not too large to get around it all. I highly recommend this excellent gallery and museum.

Absolutely loved the "No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man" exhibit! Very cool art pieces. The art museum is very big and is always free, which is awesome.

Beautiful building and location with some fantastic exhibits. A nice variety of art from various periods, styles and cultures in what seems to be the permanent collection. Came while The Burning Man exhibit was there and it was well done. Loved it!

Free and such wonderful collections! The burning man exhibit should NOT be missed. Such a creative collection of different pieces of art.

The art museum is located in Eden Park. The museum is architecturally pleasing, and contains a very nice collection of paintings, sculptures, china, furniture, etc. It was elegantly displayed. There are many special exhibits, like the floral art display, art after dark and activities for children too. This museum is free so we should all be ready to take an afternoon and stroll through.

Great place to take your family and enjoy several hours of conversation if the enjoy art. I enjoy walking around and asking my daughter her thoughts and what she thinks the artist had in mind. Lots of fun!

This museum is truly a beautiful place. My sister, mother, and I saw The Burning Man exhibit and the Kimono gallery before both leave the museum. There is something for everyone and it's close to Eden park with is a really gorgeous park to sit for a moment and enjoy the view.

I Ioved visiting the Cincinnati Art Museum! The exhibits were fascinating and we really enjoyed the traveling "Burning Man" exhibit! I can't believe that it is free admission! Our group stopped in the Cafe located inside the museum and had a terrific lunch!

Even with the emphasis on accomplished artists associated with the Cincinnati area, the collection is not parochial. Other times and other places are well represented. You can see it all in a leisurely stroll, without the need to rush from piece to piece, to get it all in.

I love art museums and this just wowed me. Definitely would love to go back, there are so many interesting pieces to see.
