Truly a gem in Dayton. Great museum, locally run, knowledgeable tour guides. A great space to hold an event or a wedding at a very reasonable price. There is nothing quite like having an event with free reign on a historic car museum. You are mixing and mingling right around all of the cars. Fantastic and totally unique for the Miami Valley.
Well worth the $5.00.
Visited from Arizona, was a cool experience ppl who work here are super friendly and really knowledgeable about the cars . Great experience
Fun piece of Dayton and auto history. Lots of cars. We had a great guide!
What a neat place for a car guy
Great place to visit with the entire family. Various stunning vehicles in a wonderful original Packard show room.
Nice local museum. Great collection of autos and history of the Packard Company.
I am speachless at the beautiful cars in the collection
Was a wonderful experience. I can't wait to take my son to see all the amazing cars.
Neat place
What a surprise! Not only are the cars antique, the building was originally a Packard dealership, they still have it setup that way, car lifts, sales floor, etc. Well worth your time and $6
Awesome place! When visited, got a guided tour with Myrna, whom told us about every car in the museum. Her tour made the visit even better!! She has a definite love for the vehicles' and knows a bit of every car in there!!
Just so cool with all the history.
Was fun seeing the cars and reading about them and the year they were made. Spent a good hour there reading and taking pictures.
Went to a wedding here. Man do they have some gorgeous cars in their. The whole venue was top notch. What a unique place to get married.
Good place to see old cars. Pretty cheap to go in. If you're in Dayton, come here.
Great place to enjoy a piece of history. We planned on being there 2 hours but the gentleman giving the tour was just so knowledgeable we had to force ourselves to stop asking questions. Still ended up leaving 20 min late.
Well preserved old cars! Very nice!
Excellent displays. The cars all are beautiful.
This is a hidden gem!
It's a small museum but it is really nice!
Outstanding!! Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Packard. Collection of automobiles is fantastic!! We live out of state and are looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommend!!
A great museum featuring some really great cars.
Thank you for bringing our daughter’s vision for her wedding celebration to life. The guests are still talking about the unique venue. The parking across the street was convenient and easy to find. Many locals had not been to the Packard Museum and they, as well as the out-of-towners, greatly appreciated viewing the cars and the opportunity to ask all their great questions of the Museum staff member who spent the evening in the museum. The beautiful cars on display in the showroom and the garages provided just the unique experience during the cocktail hour and reception we were hoping for. Guests loved the tailgate theme and the set-up was just as we imagined. We want to give a shout out to the museum staff for allowing us to use the “Woody”, which was the star of the cocktail hour. Hats off to each and everyone for their efforts. Your team members went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the result. It was a pleasure working with you and we will continue to recommend the Packard Museum and Elite Catering over and over. The Packard Museum is the only special event venue in Dayton that can provide such a unique experience.
Good presentation
Fun to just take a look at some really beautiful old cars, vintage parts and other artifacts. Not a lot of interpretive material for the casual visitor, but a treasure trove of a library for any in-depth researcher.
Great collection of beautiful Packards and a host who told the story of those cars and the museum itself, which is housed in an old Packard dealership, drawing on terrific knowledge. A fun visit.
Fantastic . Run by a very nice Gentleman
This place is awesome. I can't believe I've lived here for years and never knew it existed!! Must visit for any local who likes cars.
Really cool place. Great for events!
Just exquisite vehicles.
Beautiful cars, friendly atmosphere.
An awesome museum in Dayton. Especially if you have an interest for antiques. These cars and motorcycles are such beauties. Go check them out. <3 You can also rent the building out for parties or weddings if interested.
Fun place to go with family and friends
Great museum. The cars are beautifully restored/preserved and there are quite a few if them. The building itself is quite interesting being the original Packard dealership.
Myrna was a wealth of information, and just a delightful woman. I left wishing Packard was still in business.
Loved the museum Beautiful car the attendees was very knowledgeable
Very informative great experience would recommend to anyone
Awesome displays of cars and memorabilia.
This place is so cool especially if you love classic cars. They show cars back from 1912. It's defiantly cool.
interesting take my grandfather and was very pleased, we would have liked to see more ... I hope increase the collection.
Awesome place to go and historical value
Cool museum in an old turn of the century car dealership.
Amazing original and restored automobiles.
Great place to visit
Awesome place! Such beautiful automobiles!
A lot of beautiful and unique vehicles with a lot of history associated with them. Also has a period parts counter, displays of promotional items and informational videos.
A great blast from the past. Preserved as if the dealership were still there. Amazing automobiles and friendly staff make this a must see while in Dayton.
Very interesting.
Went to see this place on Sunday at 1:30 PM, but it was close. Everything I read said it would be open and it was open 7 days a week. Change your sign and the website to the hours you are open.
Heaven for an auto enthusiast!
Great experience. Beautiful cars, and a wonderful museum. Glad I was able to see everything on my vacation. Definitely worth a stop.
My fiancé and I visited today and we were very impressed. When we first came in we were greeted with a smile and a brief history of the building. The volunteers there were VERY knowledgeable and gave us our own little tour. We had the pleasure of meeting the director of the museum and he showed us some of his personal restoration projects as well. I had planned the trip as a surprise. Just something different to do. I don’t know anything about cars, but the staff never made me feel silly for asking the questions I had. My fiancé also learned quite a bit and he is a car enthusiast. Overall we loved the museum and the culture you feel as soon as you walk inside. Thank you for the experience and we will definitely tell our friends!
A fun museum to stroll through. Lots of old Packards and memorabilia.
Super informational. Love there collection of early Packards.
This was a wedding night, and the staff there was amazing! John especially was amazing when it came to helping out a situation and made that transition from crazy to amazing! He and Cindy(sp) are a great team and if something crazy happens they will make sure and go above and beyond to make an amazing event! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart . Renee with Amplified Digital Entertainment
Was smaller than we thought, but maintained very well.
World class. Good staff.
Fun way to spend an hour or so during our day in Dayton. All on one floor. Easy to navigate with wheelchair, walker, etc, and not so big that one would get worn out. Enjoy!
Learned alot about the car
It was ok, I went there for a wedding reception. And for the price the father of the bride paid for the establishment, they could have gotten something wayyyyyyy better for less. There were cars everywhere, as they just rearranged them, not taking them out, not enough seating, the bridal party was cramped together...... It should be what it is. A museum.
Very inspiring tour guide!
Lots of beautiful automobiles! Both pre and post war. 1.5 hr. tour time. $6 admission for adults.
One of the most amazing collections of vintage automobiles I have seen in one place.
Nice cars to look at, I bought some pins from the gift shop.
Was fun to see all also Packard in real dealerships
The Packards preserved here are some fine examples of both restored and unrestored luxury American autos I have had the pleasure to view. The price of entry was $6.00. In the back , there is a library containing service manuals for the various years. They have examples of PT-boat engines, P51 fighter engines all built by Packard. From the unquestionable beauty of design and engineering, it is a shame that they are not offering luxury automobiles today. Please visit and enjoy the true beauty and sculpture of these vehicles.
Fantastic bit if history and wanderful place to visit.
Well maintained museum, cars and a knowledgeable staff
This place was hypnotic unbelievable beautiful and informational. I loved it, I'm really into old cars. It's my dream to item one one day..
Amazing auto's worth going back 2 and 3 times to really see all the artifacts and cars again. Great job.
Beautiful Packards and period items in a real, original dealership. Absolutely a 'must see' location !
Great taste of history. Awesome staff. Recommend.
Must see, especially if you love cars. Very impressed with their collection.
Wow, I've lived in Dayton for 35 years and just got to this place a few weeks ago....how did I let that happen. Super cool if you are a car enthusiast.
Incredible place to see a fantastic collection of this iconic case. Don't let the outside fool you, open the door any day well before 5 pm and you go back to a showroom of the classic 1930's. This is a great experience for anyone who loves old cars!
Loved it. Any car enthusiast would like it. Great history and something unique.
Great selection of cars - would only add a bit of a description for the Packard licensed/built Merlin would be really welcome considering it's importance in WWII
Awesome.
Not handicapped accessible at all, and they could not be bothered to try and help at all!
Cool little museum, staff super friendly and knowledgeable!
This was a wonderful experience. I learned so much about Packard cars and the history. If you happen to go ask for Merna. She is a very nice lady and gives a excellent tour of the museum.
This place was awesome. I got lots of knowledge regarding our history.
Terrific collection of Packard's and other cars. Definitely worth seeing!
Wow! Went to the Memphis Belle. That was great. Was recommended to see this place by an older gentleman. My grandson and I loved it.
This was a great experience. $6 adults, $5 for senior or children. Well worth the price. They had the cars divided up between pre-WWII and post. The building is in what was originally a dealership decorated with plenty of original material. Each vehicle had a placard giving interesting facts about the era, the car model and that specific vehicle. Very nicely done. We easily spent two hours casually meandering around. You could spend longer if you linger longer on each car.
Awesome, even though they was closed ...
I love it really cool cars
Great collection of Packard automobiles, displayed in an authentic Packard Dealership building from 1917.
Tried visiting on Sunday July 28, 2019. Closed. Hoping to visit, but can't get anyone to answer the phone or return our messages to confirm they are open. Big let down.
Not the largest museum I've ever been and but it is very nice they have very nice cars and lots of detailed records on them
Great place. People were very informative.
Great experience! Many interesting cars. I was lucky to get a tour by one of the volunteers that was a retired engineer. I learned a great deal. This place is a "gem" in the "gem city."
The tour guide was great! Its really cool museum Highly recommend going if you like cars.
Absolutely wonderful. I went with my father and brother (who are car enthusiasts) and they loved it. They had a good amount of cars, all in wonderful condition and information on each of them. It was super interesting, even to someone who isn't very into cars, and you can tell they love their business. Also the man working when we went in was informative and extremely kind unlike some people who oversee similar places.
Beautiful classic cars.
Excellent representation of a real Packard dealership. It looks like the salesmen and mechanics just went to lunch. Many beautifully restored vintage Packard automobiles.
Beautiful cars. Large collection.
Lots of beautiful cars. Not very big. Takes maybe an hour max.
Wow. Great selection of Packard's and very knowledgeable staff.
Place is just too cool to describe.
Located in downtown Dayton, this museum is a gem. Well worth a visit to see the remarkable collection of antique automobiles, engines, & memorabilia. Also makes for a gorgeous event space!
Amazing experience! So many beautiful machines that you can't see anywhere else. Absolutely worth the trip! I can't recommend it enough!
Just visited the museum for the first time and the docents are fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly. There were fewer cars here than I anticipated and not all of them have information with them but the guides provided plenty to make up for it. Small admission free is worth it.
Great collection of vintage Packard automobiles and other Packard transportation exhibits including a Packard truck, military staff car, and several Packard produced airplane engines. The museum staff was friendly and very willing to share their knowledge concerning the exhibits and the history of Packard.
If your a car buff, you will be in heaven! Friendly staff!
These are the most Beautiful luxury cars from the 20's through the 50's, when Packard ceased making them.
Many different beautiful Packards, very informative video.
This is a restored dealership with remarkably maintained cars from all the different eras that Packard made cars. I was also impressed with the Merlin WW2 plane engine on display. The 2nd building has lots of original documents and blue prints in the library and some of the later Caribbean convertibles. They have a space for littler ones too. Great visit and close to the Wright Brothers workshop.
This is a fun place for a day trip. It only cost $6.00 each to get in. There is a lot of history here. I wanted to sit in one so bad but u can't do that. I could of spent more time in there but the little lady had her fill for the day. It was a good day trip. I will go alone next time.
Cars are immaculate. Beautiful to see.
Loved it nice collection.
Nice staff, cool old Packard dealership building with an amazing collection of Packard automobiles.
Great automotive museum.
Awesome place to go had a great time
Great place for Packard history and information. Only $6 admission. Highly recommend.
Love, love, love the Packard. Very cool place. Fun cats, great staff. Had our wedding reception here, was a lot of fun.
It's neat. But don't touch the cars..
I am a real Packard fan and this has a great selection of cars. Warren Ohio has a museum as well.
Cool place to take your parents for a couple hours.
Beautiful cars in an original Packard dealership building. Well worth the visit.
Excellent. It's like stepping back in time.
A great experience!
History, and beauty. If you love classic Packard's, and you're in downtown Dayton, Ohio, check it out.
Fun and unique experience regardless of the event attending.
Amazing museum. They have some stellar cars. The collection is big. Definitely a must see in Dayton.
It is fabulous!
Very nice
Myra is great for a tour! Fun for all to enjoy! Cool cars!
Great cars but no guide
Worth the $6 admission to get to see so much history up close
Very nice place, and nice guys.
Cars are nice person was not.Musium person was not courteous and did not give Dayton Ohio a good name .I was taken there by my family and all was well until we got ready to leave.I tried to ask questions about some of the exhibits but the person was rude and tried I felt to intimidate me over my patch on my hat! My patch simply says black guns matter and has an outline of a AR type rifle on it. I hate that we were there visiting Dayton when the obviously mentally deranged person shot people .!!!! But I nor my family did anything wrong!!!!!! And did not need to be told I don't mean to tell you how to live but that patch on your hat might get you trouble! At which time I told him that I could talk to them like a gentleman or not as the case may be. And I was aware of the shooting downtown. Myself and my family would like to reach out and say the violence against US citizens by mentally unstable persons should never be tolerated and we are all sadend by these incidents and send our best regards and thoughts to the families. In saying that I thought the gentleman overstepped his boundaries and was rude and should have kept his thoughts to himself!!!! Thanks. HW. WV.
Great place to visit. The cars are amazing and mostly are in pristine condition. What a wonderful business to have in Dayton, Ohio.
Robert was wonderful sharing his vast knowledge of the Packard Autos. A wonderful time looking at beautiful automobiles.
I'm not a "car" person, but found the museum to be a really interesting place for both the history of Packard cars and a look at designs through the decades. The museum does a good job of presenting you with interesting facts about the models as well as providing some context for what else was going on in the world at the time. The building - an old Packard dealership - is pretty cool as well. I really think most people would get something out of it!
The car collection is extensive and the staff does an amazing job of taking care of everything. I went with my father-in-law a and they fielded every question he had for them. Very cool place to visit! I only wish that they had more signs up to tell me about the history.
Highly recommended. Lots of Packards in primo condition. My dad and I spent about 2hrs there.
What a gem to have in downtown Dayton. Great staff and great cars on display.
A cool place if you like old cars. It was a great day trip when the grand parents came into town.
Beautiful cars, a lot of history located in an old packard dealership
Very interesting place to visit. The staff was very friendly and answered a lot of questions. They gave us important pieces of background information without being too suffocating. An interesting piece of history anyone could enjoy. The site was done well with interesting information displayed for each piece. I would definitely recommend!
This place is amazing and different every time u go because they house 50 other cars in storage that take turns in the museum!
Awesome place. Cool cars!!
Great experience for both of us....really enjoyed it.....
Beautiful Packard cars from the early 1930s to 1950s. Friendly staff answered all our questions. One of the 'must see' attractions in Dayton Ohio. I recommend.
Wonderful!! Great cars, knowledgeable and friendly volunteers!! GREAT stop on our trip!
Great museum with some very nice examples of some great cars.
Fun place to host a wedding and cars are really cool too
I went in with lower expectations, but was pleasantly surprised at the depth of history and interest that this museum offers. Couple that with the newly acquired knowledge of Packard's storied history, and we were truly amazed and entertained. From pioneering new technology to helping to create the engines that powered our planes and boats in WW2, Korean War and so much more ... It's absolutely fascinating and inspiring. High quality displays and artifacts; Extremely knowledgeable and friendly docents. We were impressed ... even our 9 year old enjoyed the visit. We spent about 2 hours.
Best museum for car entheusiests!
Enjoyed this very much. A car guy destination.
Great place to take in a bit of automotive history. The gentleman working at the counter was extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer any and all questions. Beautiful automobiles!
Historical Automobile establishment great place for car lovers
Great place in Dayton to learn about the Packard car lines and pre and post war vehicles. Very educational for a novice car enthusiast. The museum fee was minimal and kids get in free. I would recommend that you stop in and learn about the Packard car company.
Really nice cars no heat in the building
Great location, was originally a Packard dealership, large wide variety of Packard's and accessories, offices recreated with vintage items, spent about an hour there
Awesome museum. If you love cars, check this out.
