This is a small museum, but a worthwhile stop to learn about the history and significance of the Pembina area. Run by the ND state historical society, it has some nice exhibits and a good bookstore and gift shop. From here , be sure to go to the town park just to the south where there is an old historic trading post at the confluence of the Red River and Pembina river

The view from atop the tower gives you the ability to see in to Canada from the US. The folks running the location had a lot of local lore and information. There's actually a good deal more history in the region than I imagined. If you're up this way, it's worth the stop.

Ken Reed

Very good and detailed information. The observation deck is outstanding, with views of North Dakota, Minnesota and Manatoba.

Wonderful Museum free of charge. Friendly staff. saw an oxcart, steam boat history, fur trade, and a new exhibit focusing on North Dakota artisans and some story telling. Ots of wonderful books and gifts in the fidt shop too. Can't wait to go back, I need to go up the tower next time, we started talking high bush cranberries and I got distracted! Left with out going up the tower. Thanks Jenny for your great hospitality!

Kerri Bennett

Great place. Free to look around. $2 to go up to the look out.

Mark Rice

Great place to visit and learn about our areas

Gary Holt

Go in the elevator to the observation tower. In the summertime the wind steadily blows making the surface of the crops below swirl as if you are seeing waves on the ocean. The Canadian border is straight ahead while miles of beautiful countryside are all around you.The museum houses many indigenous artifacts from the area and explains the history of the town. Not much to do in Pembina but this should be a stop when you visit.
