The first impression on the outside makes you wonder if there are any planes. But once you walk in you are glad you came! It isn't huge but my husband and 2 year old son loved it! They have a lot of different planes and the gentleman working there had a lot of information. It is free but give a donation.

Overall a great experience. I always recommend telling them it is your first time. If it's your first time, a volunteer walks around with you giving details on the exhibits. If you have been there before they are hands off. I personally like the interaction with the volunteers.

Fun stop in Hendersonville. My husband is really interested in planes/aviation etc. The staff that work there are very knowledgeable. Each plane has detailed records about the history and production. There are planes from different eras and even a gyrocopter! While it's not a big museum, it is a thorough one. It's a great way to spend an hour or so!

Rex Butler

Friendly, fun, museum dedicated to the preservation of historical aviation. Great, kid-friendly atmosphere to explore vintage aircraft and replicas from civil and military aviation from WWI thru WWII. Also, a great resource to view photos, documents, equipment and various other memorabilia from the time period. Aircraft on display are changed out periodically. The volunteers are a wealth of knowledge and information. This museum is truly a labor of love.

Jill Levy

Barbara Keeton

Great little air museum chock full of aircraft!

ZaSeaDog

OK OK listen to this story, I met a couple of pilots when touring the museum. This probably doesn't seems to out of the ordinary, but they were supper nice and everyone was helpful. I do believe that they worked there, but they took me up in there airplanes, and all I had to do was pay for gas. Just don't go in asking for rides, if they feel you are really into airplanes and that you are passionate they may offer. Just don't go in demanding a ride because you probably won't get one.

Dustin Brisky

Awesome. A must for any aviation junkie in the area.

Scott Harrison

Patrick Warncke

Great place to check out, especially during the WNC Apple Festival!

Edward Timblin

So much more than expected! I expected a crummy little museum with not much to offer, due to ther fact that I've lived here for years and never heard of it. I couldn't have been more wrong! They have incredible planes to the ceilings, knowledge beyond measure, and incredible kindness toward our residents! I will definitely be back!
