Had to wait on the porch for the rest of my party since I could not go upstairs due to a sore ankle. Seems if you cannot take the entire tour, you can't tour any part of the house!! Certainly will not recommend it !!

This museum is a North Carolina treasure. The curator was extremely helpful to make our visit a memorable visit. A wonderful education in the local history.

The Shelton House tour was very informative and the docent was quite knowledgeable. If you are a history buff, like pottery, Wedgwood, and Native American relics and quilts, you will love this tour. Oh, Don't forget to stop by the gift shop. You won't be disappointed!

If you love NC quilts, woodworking, and pottery, you will love this charming museum. You get a great personal tour with a fascinating story about the Sheltons' work with native Americans in NC and New Mexico. A real find!

This was a very awesome place to visit. It was a tour through the house and barn but not with a group of people. It was just my sister and I and the tour guide. The tour guide was a very nice lady that answered all of our questions. Lots of very cool art stuff made back in the day, also nice antiques in there and a great history lesson to go with it all.

This is a beautiful historic home. Each room in the house showcases different types of crafts. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. If you like history, or if you like art, you will love this Museum.
