The only downside is it can get pretty pricey if you want to see the interactive exhibit but it is a blast. They also serve food and wine here. Good place to spend an evening.

Created by Light exhibit. At first glance it's nothing but a wide variety of photos packed together in a box. There are wild vixens, photos of the past, the KKK, death, creation and even a girl's face being smashed into the ground. It felt like a smorgasbord of photos. I contemplated what it all meant (if it actually had meaning) and I realized the answer is quite simple. Light is life. Without light we would be unable to exist. No matter what the circumstance is without light we have no images we have no existence. 4 stars because the guy is the un-tailored suit was definitely following me.

We happened to be here during the Lantern Festival; they had beautiful displays of lanterns that had been submitted for competition and they also had materials to make your own floating lantern to float on the pond. The Art from Flour exhibit was full of history and they had two lovely ladies playing harps. They had a trio at the café and an orchestra of young children playing outside by the pond. Our overall experience exceeded our expectations of an art museum.

Kris Lewis

Great place if you are into art of any type. Includes local pieces and themed exhibits.

Sam Simmons

A sweet local museum--small--with interesting exhibits, a nice gift shop and reasonable cafe.

Roberta Synoracki

Just took a Japanese calligraphy class here with Mitzi Ito! Awesome!!!

A. Lee Colter

Great place with lots of options. Take a date here for some pre- dinner activities or take your child (18 months is a little young) here to play in the interactive area. A lot of local artists with a good amount of information on their backgrounds and styles.

We had yet to visit the CAM even though we've been spending most of your weekends at the beach in Wilmington. We learned that on the first weekend of the month, bank of america customers get free admission. You need to show a BofA debit or credit card for one ticket, kind of a nice perk. We also enjoyed the Cam Cafe, too bad they don't serve espresso there, it would seem like an easy thing for them to do given their focus on Brunch.

I went to the monthly concert that is produced by the Cape Fear Jazz Society in conjunction with the Cam. Check out the schedule on the Jazz Society's website. Great music, 6-8 pm, inexpensive for non-members, great crowd, casual. Can't say enough good things!

For Eastern NC, it's very good. They try hard to bring quality exhibits, and often succeed.

What a beautiful place to enjoy a variety of artists! From the moment I drove on the grounds I was surrounded by beautiful artwork from the stone furniture at the main door and the chalk paintings in the courtyard. I am proud to be exhibitor #287 for the State Of The Art/Art of the State exhibit from Sept 20 2014 to Feb 2015. I can't wait to experience more of this amazing venue.

We went here to see what was there and all that was available was an exhibit of Mexican migrants. So the guy at the desk said there was some kind of interactive exhibit but it costs extra. It looked like a children's activity and I asked him if it was for children and he said oh no no it's for adults also. Liar. It was clearly for pre school children and I was aghast that he would blatantly lie to me to get the money. That was his clear intent. Shame on you for misleading the public. I will not be going back and I have told all my friends about this. Facebook is also aware of your false business practices and I have received hundreds of people saying they have been decieved also in the past. Please stop lying and tell the man at the desk he should be ashamed of himself.....

Interactive digital room was really really cool. The kids loved it. A must if you have children. The restaurant however is not something I'd recommend unless you have a lot of time or it's very slow. It took about an hour to get our food. Food was good but it seemed like they were understaffed.

This is a fantastic museum with amazing, high quality exhibits. Exhibits rotate often so there's always something new to see. It holds events and activities for young kids and families and interactive exhibits as well as fine art. I enjoy participating as an artist and seeing their displays. They also have a nice gift shop and cafe' inside, I highly recommend it! Worth repeated visits!

Karen Henderson

Great lunch spot

Gregg Drennan

When you visit the CAM make sure to include seeing the interactive digital teamLab exhibit. Even as an adult you will have a great time watching and interacting with the displays.

Julia Jenkins

Disappointed. Unfortunately even if you walk slowly and look at every picture you could be done in 20mins maybe 30. There where only 2 halls open and one hall isn't truly a hall. While I enjoyed the artwork. I would deff wait till they had more exhibits open to get more bang for your buck.

Cassies Heart

A little over priced and on the small side but it was fun.

Amy Fisher

A MUST SEE! This little museum has a lovely little cafe for lunch or just drinks. You can reserve a table or just pop in when it’s slow. The museum has interesting art exhibits that you won’t find anywhere else. Also, music and classes, etc, etc... and lets not forget their gift shop of hand made items...oh my! Wonderful things to be found at their gift shop! The Cameron Art Museum has a good size parking lot, great exhibits and tons of things going on. Definitely a wonderful little art museum.

Only one wing open here, still charged almost full price for entry. It was about flour sacks. Terrible. Should have been paid to see this.

For a small museum it has a lot to offer. I will visit again. The local artist on display were very, very good!!!! You are greeted warmly and the receptions was quick to highlight her favorites for us to checkout. She was on point!!!!!
