REVIEWS OF New York Hall Of Science IN New York

Michelle Elliott

Awesome place to visit- school trip with my first graders. There are lots of activities for the kids to participate in and learn from. I particularly liked the childbirth display because kids need to learn about that too. I loved the budgies as well, the kids were fascinated with these tiny birds. They were organized and each class had their designated buns for storage, time to eat as well as place to eat. There were kid friendly bathrooms everywhere which is very convenient for kids of all ages. It was my first experience and a great one.

Jackelyn Vakalopoulos

So many areas to explore for kids and adults, there's something for everyone! The outdoor playground is my favorite!

Christian Busch

Great place to take kids of all ages; different areas for the young ones up to teens. Membership is a great value even if you just use it as an indoor playground in the winter

Eric Winston

One of the best places for kids on the city

Michelle Mascioli

So much to do and see, great spot to take kids

Hannah Maldonado

I enjoy going with the kids for a quick day trip. The recent Lego installation is amazing! Fine art in Lego form! The new cafe update is lovely. As a parent, THANK YOU FOR THE ESPRESSO BAR! Also, give Lynn a raise. She's amazing!

Moop Chan

Lots of fun and things for the kids to do. Was there for four hours and it didn't even seem like it. Would definitely recommend .

Holly Ruan

This is an amazing place for all the kids and adults to go. The place is big and think can’t finished in one day actually. My kids are 3 and 6 years old. They love it and we stay the whole day there. Plan to visit again soon. The staffs there are very very nice. Love this place.

Mark G.

Like many good attractions, this would be more enjoyable if it was less crowded. But we enjoyed our visit, and found that there were exhibits and activities suitable for all ages. And many of the exhibits had been updated since our previous visit, which was nice to see.

Arlene Larrier

Loved it. Didn't go there in years. Just have to go on a not so crowded day so your kids can really enjoy themselves.

Sreeram Sivaramakrishnan

This is one of those places which don't get into most lists of tourist attractions for New York. But the time spent at this place was a very rewarding experience. The exhibits are thought provoking and not cliched. Don't expect this museum to get kids off on the basics of science. This is an eclectic collection of exhibits which touch upon diverse subjects like astronomy, life outside of earth, consciousness in animals, design, mathematics and many others. Being in Queen's this place is a little inaccessible but well worth the time and effort. Reserve at least half a day or more for this museum. The charges are around 25 dollars per adult.

Soap The soap

Really big and hands on activities although the food is a bit expensive a trip there is enjoyable.

Melvena Jennings

Had a wonderful time. Everything is hands on, so you learn while you play.

Myrta Maldonado

It's a great place to take the children...adults will love this place too...it's just a little pricey

Tony D'Itri

This place is fantastic for kids 2 and above. I had a blast with my son there! So much to do. More than worth the admission price.

Cheryl Taylor

Love the New York Hall of Science! It's one of those NYC attractions that keeps getting better over time. Great for school trips. The staff was great. Wish there was a greater selection of food and beverage options, especially for picky eaters. Gift shop was cool.

Humberto

It's great but some of the exhibits need some maintenance

Joseph McKenna

Lots of fun STEM learning activities!

Kyle Marshall

A great place for kids. There is so much to do that multiple days and trips are needed to see it all. It is very crowded on the weekends, so be prepared.

Stephanie Oppenheim

Only New York City science museum. Good enough for a few hours with kids of all ages, but the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey is far superior.

Na Xu

Great activities for both adults and kids. Cafeteria has a great selection of healthy food.

Stuntmarc

Improve the hall and cafetaria please ! Add some smiles on ticket seller too... And some cleaning on hands on display... Otherwise the place is really interesting and educative, for kids and grown up. And the teens that work inside, explaining the scientific displays are motivated and friendly. I loved the place since I passed the main hall.

SHARON BROWN

Had a good day at the Hall of Science. The interaction Connect exhibit was totally awesome. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Tarin English

My 6 year old enjoyed her visit.

Jake Miller

It's definitely a popular place to take kids to. Most of the attractions are interactive and is inclusive to all ages. There's also a 3D movie theater that is also okay not to watch with the 3D glasses if they don't work for you or hurt your eyes. There is also a really nice display of rockets outside and a space-themed playground. I would definitely recommend this as a family day trip.

Ella Kuperman

Perfect place for a rainy day. To kids age 7 and 8. We spend 5 incredible and interesting hours here and even see all of the attractions. Every single thing is interactive and we spend a lot of time arting and crafting. Pure family fun and a great place to learn and enjoy!

Tony Ledesma

Great for kids and family day plus has an amazing park. Do bring your own lunch do. Youll be mad you didn't.

Mentu Khephera Aten

Very intersting, great place for xhildren & adults to learn.

Alicia Jack

Could use some updating but you get so much bang for your buck it worth it.

Vincent Tien

Great place to bring kid. I brought my toddlers and they loved everything. Big open spaces to run around and interesting exhibits to interact with.

THE WORTMANS 1 0 1

I traveled from NJ to Minecraft MineFair. With 2 children 9-10. The outside play area was incredibly fun for them. They loved this the museum. We walked two blocks away for lunch and found fresh fruit vendors and every kind of food and shops you can think of. We had an amazing day.

Kristina Medina

Great for kids. Just wish it was a bigger place with more to see

Clau Dia

Hall of Science.... its all in its name. Come early and leave late. The kids and adults will have a blast. There are a lot of things to build but the best part is that they CAN touch everything. Take the Q58 (get off on Corona and 51st Ave) and walk a few minutes or look for parking.

Mikey T

This is a great place to visit with kids. I think especially children up to 6th great love this interactive museum. Children (and parents) are invited to touch things and to experiment. It is relatively easy accessible (5 minute walk from 111 st (7line)) and next to the park and the Queens zoo.

Ruben Alvarez

Awesome. Everything was fine and engaging. We'll work the trip to the city.

Seif Habassi

Very good time, both the kid and parents had a lot of fun!

Omi Boone

Perfect except they are not finished building the space station and they make you pay an additional $10 to get into the outdoor playground.

Vincent Laucella

Needs to be upgraded but still amazing

Conila Keszler

The exhibits were very interesting and entertaining for visitors of all ages. The museum is very large and you may feel tired before completing the visit. Family friendly. There were plenty of things to do.

Angelisa Cortorreal

Great place. I work there now.

DEGHAL Morgan

So much fun. So good for everyone. Hands on activities that are very nice. We had an amazing time and the place is so nice, so clean, so organized.... love it!

Katelyn Meyer

What a fun place!! They have a parking lot it’s 12$ to park but free if you’re a member. The inside was clean up to date and had soooo much for the kids to do. Literally do thing for every single age. They had a great time we ended up spending close to 5 hours without even realizing it. They have a little cafe to sit and eat if you wish and a fun area just for toddlers. The only draw back was that the playground had to pay 5$ per child to use unless you were a member and then it was free. Kind of a bummer but it was to hot to play outside anyway so we skipped it.

Adam Bennett

Needs maintenance and feels tired. Playground is falling apart - ducks were rotten, music pipes had quite a few broken ties at the bottom, windsocks had seen better days... Inside, several things were missing control dials or were in need of repair. Things that make money- food area and gift shop - were well kept. Connecting worlds all digital exhibit was also good. Still some very cool stuff to see, and a few different things that kids will enjoy. Its cheap enough that you should still consider going.

M Kelly

This place has so many things for children of all ages. During nice weather they have an outdoor park and mini golf.

Pearson Raff

It is a perfect place to take your children for the weekend. You can spend one complete day here. it has game and fun activities for children and also for the teens. Also it has explanations of scientific experiments and few exhibits of science which are well explained. It is very intresting and nice place to take your children. A combination of outing as well as a study or education based thing it is.

tyeisha carter

I took my 6 & 1yr old they both had a good time

Mariam bacchus

Very nice for kids to educate them

Jessy Luna

I’m a member from this establishment. It’s clean and organized. Their staff are educated and well spoken. I wish they can add new temporary exhibits on a regular basis because after a while it’s basically the same things my kids see; it becomes a routine.

Joy Mollo

We spent more than 3 1/2 hours there with my 2, 6 and 8 year old boys and could have stayed even longer. Lots to do and see. The "cafe", however is abysmal. Empty crusty soup kettles, freezer burnt tater tots and burgers and wilted salads at a HEFTY price. Inedible even to my kids. Definitely go for the day but pack your own meals/snacks for the kids.

Polina Chernyak

Have been here with my daughter multiple times, always something to do, cant wait till shes a little older to do the workshops downstairs

Kara Alfonso

Great place. Wonderful mix of activities for all ages

P Pra

Could have organized and placed items in a better and meaningful way..

Violet Carolina

Absolutely lovely for kids. Lots of activities and displays to entertain a little one for a few hours. Free days are crowded, so go early!

Leshaun McDaniel

Nice place but it seems like things never change here

Melissa Hamoudi

Went for Queens Night Market and we were not disappointed! Great evening and atmosphere, definitely recommend to those considering going!

Justyna Sikorska

It was even fun for 1.5 year old

B Selman

Some good stuff. Much of it is VERY old and worn out.

RAWWRSTER CLAN

This meusum is so amazing and super fun i used to go here when i was a kid and as a teenager during school trips. There have many fun activity to do amd wonderful information you might be surprise. I suggest you take your family here to experience this great adventure

Fallout shelter

Great place love my photos of the world fair rockets outside. Always saw these rockets driving through the city. Finally stopped 40 years later saw friendship 7 john Glenn's ride to circle the globe. The rocket ships that raced into space breaking earth's gravity a special very special treat I only wish there was more outside. I had come through the grounds in the 90s. And I did see more rockets but still a great NYC asset!

Lydia Toenes

My 4 yo and 6 yo loved it given they cant read or understand much of the science piece. To make up for it, my husband had to do a lot of entertaining and directing "stare at the spinning circle until I say stop and look at your hand". They did have a preschool area though but we didn't check it out. Easy to get around in with a stroller. Mirror hallway, the large tree house is a must for littles. We came hungry which may not have served us well as the cafeteria was less of a cafeteria and more of an expensive 7-11. (When they say chicken tenders, they mean frozen chicken tenders that have been cooked and that are sitting are under a heat lamp all day.) I would have given it 5 stars if the cafeteria had a bit more fresh options.

Margarita Torres

Excellent place to bring children and the whole family

Analy Torres

Great place to take your kid out to play. Love the preschooler playground and my son enjoy it a lot . I will recommend this place to every parent.

Agueda Zorrilla

I go to this hands on museum often. If it’s not my membership it’s a family member’s. I usually enjoy this place. However I will not plan field trips to this place until Changes are made. I booked the trip but the school students were allowed to enter before I arrived. I was charged extra at the door for numbers I could not readily verify because the school had entered the building. The exhibits were missing and there were no science helpers on hand like previous times to help students understand what was left of the exhibit. The manager I spoke to was not helpful or did not budge. I was disappointed.

Yolanda Moctezuma

Nice place for the kids very interactive

Michael Hadjiosif

Overall, an interesting museum. However, a number of their interactive exhibits weren’t working correctly. Some of their touchscreens were frozen, some of their exhibits involving turning knobs to interact had the knobs not working, and their cosmic ray tracker wasn’t working either. None of these broken exhibits were marked out of order or showed any sign that maintenance was aware of them, and these problems were present in a large number of exhibits throughout all sections of the museum.

Aharon Soloveichik

Fun and cheape great for wny size famley but for kids on theyounger side

Jennifer Lalaram

We love it. Great place to go.

Enyuan Shang

A nice place for children to play, and for adults to learn something new.

Paola Dupuy

Raised in Corona been to The Hall of Science many times even when they renovated The New exhibit .Great place to visit with the whole Family

Jeannette Ellis

One of the best hands on museums for the kids. You can take your child there as soon as they can sit, there is a play area for babies and toddlers. The science playground is a fun place to play and make discoveries. Mini golf is also available for the kids and adults. Ginger bread lane is open for the holiday season and it’s awesome.

Diami C.

Free on sundays before 11. My kids love going there

Gde Katya

The great museum! Very interesting exposition . Definetly recommended

Isaak N

All is great, EXCEPT, poor choice of food in the cafeteria, especially since so many kids come here.

Abraham Leon

Great for children. My son is 4 and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Then we're topped off this trip with the adjacent park and the rides at the small amusement park. Great day altogether!!

Ziya USA

Amazing place especially for kids, One day is not enough

Charlene Chinapoo

Usually they are on point. Not sure if it's because they were short staffed or it was a ploy to not have us order too much since we were ordering the endless shrimp promotion they had.

Jennie Chin-Romero

A great learning experience for everyone! It's fantastic that the exhibits are always changing, which makes us want to visit several times per year with our membership. The staff is friendly and try to engage with kids to make them think about what they're doing.

Beza Jemal

Has a lot of ground to cover, really nice place

Alicia Rucanelo

New York Hall Of Science is awesome , this place is huge and lots of things to enjoy. I really like the staff is so helpful .

Wasmiya Tan

Great place to hang out with your kids. We recently became members and every time we go, exhibits rotate and there is always something new to discover. Makers place in the ‘basement’ is great for kids to explore and create with different themes. Rubber bands art wall, blocks, huge blocks, creating moving robots. Love this place

Lisa B

My son LOVES this place! We purchased the yearly membership and it has paid for itself through the reciprocal program which enable you to visit a host of other museums across the country for FREE. I have already used it to visit museums in Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina and saved big bucks on admission fees and special programs and events (ALL FREE!!). I gathered my son along with his cousins and took them to so many places. In addition, some places will offer free or reduced parking which is fantastic in major cities where parking is astronomical. If traveling, always check to see if a museum is on the list. You will be surprised at how many are!

Ms M

Alot to see, very interactive and hands on. Come early to get a full experience

Fowad Abdo

There's a lot of activities for young children which will keep them occupied. The Lego exhibit is amazing!

Kae Mas

It's got some really neat exhibits, but several were not working and the whole place is in dire need of a deep cleaning! Several exhibits had a half inch thick of dust on top. My son is 13, this is definitely geared towards younger kids. Overall we had a nice time.

Wilson Z

This is science-filled place that is good for kid's education (unless he is not interested in science). Some places can teach you to make experiment, full of interactivity. The staff were very friendly and easy to spend a day in it.

Lucais Horsley

We had such a great time at the Queens Hall of Science. My kids ages 2, 9 and 10 had hours of fun and didn’t want to leave. We bought general admission +1 exhibit. It was worth it but it can add up for a family of five. Kids 2 - 13 start at …

Amdad D Arshad

It is a great place for adults and children. They had a toddler play area on the first floor. I wish they had more stuff for toddlers. Everything else is mostly for older kids 5 and up I would say. They have an outdoor park which is not very big and they charge you $10 a person which I think is a little too much. If it was free It would be much better. All in all its a great place to visit either by yourself or with kids.

Nicholas Woo

This place is amazing for kids and families! The place is full of educational and fun activities for kids of all ages. It's also a great place of respite from the heat during the hot summers. Advice: the cafeteria space is rather limited, especially when there are many younger families with strollers that take up extra space. Plan accordingly!

Scott Willis

As an adult, I found it rather dated and disappointing. While I understand some of the difficulties in maintaining exhibits that children seem compelled to pound upon, I would like to suggest: 1. A number of displays are broken. Surely there are retired machinists and engineers in the area, many with home shops or access to friend's shops, who would love to have something useful to do. Court them. 2. In the mathematics area history display, apparently history ended in 1960? 3. I tried the "dog bark" exhibit. No matter what I did, it remained stuck on the one bark.

Steve Novick

Great for all people. must do

Jacob Briant

Great time and cool exhibits! It's definitely geared towards children, which my wife and I didn't realize until we arrived, but we still had a good time. Staff was helpful.

Richard Thandal

Went for an Asian night market. Pretty cool to try new foods from all of Asia within a 2 block radius. Had a live band too

Lisa Torres

Had activities that are enjoyable for young children. The area as a whole is wheelchair accessible, but some areas are too small to get into. The bathroom, though wheelchair accessible, was filthy.

Laura Nguyen

A few weeks ago, me and my family went to this museum. I would rate my experience as terrible since the exhibits were so old, outdated, and not well taken care of. We visited the museum after about five elementary schools came in with groups. All of the exhibits were destroyed and some looked very untaken care of. I was scared to touch some of the hands on displays after seeing trash and sticky like substances on them. I would only recommend this place when it isn’t a weekday so the exhibits wouldn’t look messed up and for kids only because as a teenager, it was really boring for me.

Salvador Torres

It is nice my 3 time going there and i had ablaze

petekmete

This is amazing place... I loved what we have encountered the Connected Worlds exhibit is a must see. Eben if you don't have kids

Jie Zhu

Kid loved science exhibition and Lego art!

TeresaL siu

We went to Queens Night Market! It was great!

Ricardo Mungal

Lots of great displays with lots of explanations.

Magda Lopez

Great experience at the Urban Family Science Day

Silvia A.

Went there with kids from my daycare and they enjoyed being in the playground with the slides and water exhibits.

Melissa Perez

This museum has always been my favorite museum in NYC. It is pretty awesome that I’m able to bring my song to experience the magic of this museum. Very hands on and kids can explore and play on their own.

lolkid22

Visited this place many times during school trips and everytime was fun overall

Peggy D

I've been coming here for years. Kids love this place came again with my daughter on a school trip we had a wonderful time

Irsik Maria

We just love it! The kids are building, watching observing, learning and playing a lot

Dominic Francese

Great museum. My kids never tire if it. I'd love to get to without my kids because there's a lot to learn and explore for adults too.

Ray Dragos Jr

This was NOT for a 15 year old (there was some miscommunication), however, the staff are hyper-attentive, pleasant and informative and if i had kids, it's the type of place at which you could just drop them off (not that i would). Terrific environment

Nigel P

Great for kids to interact and play. Parking available at a price.

Jennifer Seevers

Art of the Brick to not be missed! Wonderful place worth visiting if in NYC with kids.

Tatiana

This place is great for all ages will be coming back. Was able to do alot of interactive activities while learning at the same time.

Ronnie Quintero

My daughter and I loved "The Art of the Brick" exhibit

R J

What a great place to visit with you family on a hot day in the summer. There is a lot to learn at every age group. If you are a large group make sure to RSVP for the Lego building area on the first floor.

Victor V.

Good place to take the family anytime. I would have given 4 stars but there are some exhibits that were in disrepair. The astronaut section where families can take pictures literally fell apart while we were there and could've injured one of my kids. This place deserves some funding it could really be awesome.

m moore

Great architecture and layout. Good hands on maker activities. Exhibits a little aged and not up to date. Not well maintained and many broken. The extra exhibitions should come with the high price of admission. Too expensive otherwise for things that could be seen for free elsewhere.

Angela Adames

Just an awesome place to be if you're a kid. Lots of interactive learning. You could spend the whole day here and not be bored.

David Sandoval

Espace exploration is back on Trump's presidence time line

Lisa Crawford

Has the air of a place that has seen better days.

_J.rxd_

I heard that on Saturday theres like this free thing there its a pretty good place

Conrad Rochester

You learn with my child great time.

Patrina Huff

A little off the beaten path. Great display space and large scale exhibits. Nice park surrounds.

Ryan Seo

Worth of money and time for kids and family. Clean and convenient. Highly recommended.

gliaZeD F

Great for little kids for sure. A lit of the interactive illusions and such didn't work at all... Leaving a lot of hands on stuff unusable. Pretty disappointing

Shamika Mejia

My kids and I had a ball. Ages ranging from 2-13. The science playground is a must. So exhibits are a bit dated. But the interactive activities are awesome. Definitely something you must do at least once. Toddler play area was awesome too. Pack a lunch to save some $$ and eat in the cafeteria microwave available.

Edward Johnson

This was my first visit, but will not be my last. I had a wonderful time.

Pravin Charles Vaz

Very good place to visit for both adults and children. Lots of hands on interactive spots , loved the connected world's demo of augmented reality along with the working marsrover.

Jeff Schragenheim

Average museum. Need time take better care of the animals. The bearded dragon looked malnourished.

Anthony Henderson

It's a wonderful experience, haven't been here in so many years .Its good to be back since P.S 209.I highly recommend this place especially for couples with kids, a lot of hands-on and interactive exhibits. Its worth the money

Lenny Shovsky

Ton of educational stuff for kids. Get very busy, so best to come early. Many new exhibits, some are now interactive. Parking lot near by. Great space rocket playground for kids.

Brian Joergens

Went early on the free weekend admission. Kids loved the fun activities most of all.

Anni Zheng

This might be a hall for kids but not for adults. Some scientific facts are not clearly or fully explained. And there are no updates on new information. The hall is more for fun rather than for informing something.

David Phan

My favorite museum to date. Lots of variety and hands on exhibits! You can go on their free day or use a Groupon to save money. Highly recommend curious minds.

Jeffrey Mcnamee

This place is fantastic. The mentorship programs that they have for children of all ages are great and the staff really cares. I was very proud that my company supports and sponsors this organization.

Tahmina Choudhury

We went during lego experience week. The museum itself is very hands on. They got some new gadgets like virtual reality and some robotics. The interactive plant life was very entertaining , even I loved.

Takiyah Sizemore

Wonderful Museum! However, it was extremely HOT and they decided to change the filter on the water exhibits on the science playground which was OUTSIDE

Michael Gordon

Fun place for kids and adults who love science! Short little day trip to get out on a family fun day!

Nicki Cartin

So many really cool activities but it would be helpful to know when it's going to be taken over by camps since apparently other kids don't get to do the challenges. We loved Above and Beyond and the interactive world.

daniel deutsch

Just awesome. Huge. Things to do every square foot of the place indoors and out.

Yocaty Rodriguez

I attended the Minecraft Minefaire event with my boys but it was so unorganized. You had to make a line for every activity which the lines were long. Then once you got the ticket the activity was scheduled for hours later. It was overly crowded and my kids did not get to complete all activities.

Ram Kanwar

Very informing and entertaining. Great exhibition shows too especially for the kids

Tanaysha Boneparte

The New York Hall of Science is a great place for kids to learn, discover and enjoy. It’s mostly indoor so it can be enjoyed any time of year. There are many stations to enjoy but should be monitored better. A lot of children tend to hog certain areas so others don’t always get to experience. There is a large theater with informative short movies. There is also an overpriced cafeteria. The food isn’t great. There is a really cool outdoor play area and gift shop.

Chris Heinen

What a great museum. Fantastic for kids and adults. Ensure you have enough time to thoroughly enjoy all of it.

Kathy

Had a good time but it needed some renovations done

MAJE

I love this Lego Art and it's good for kids to explore about Art and science. Kids and grown up will enjoy it.

Lady Shaii

My daughter loves this place and so do I. It's a great place for any child to have a great time. The playground is just an additional $5 and admission is free before 11am on Sundays and after 2pm on Fridays. There's so much to do we never get through the entire place in one visit. I suggest taking your little one here, they will have an amazing time!

Rivka Lock

Love this place. Took 5 kids there ages 3 - 9 and they all loved it. We all loved the lego exhibit and decided to get a premium family membership since it was basically the cost of admission and now we can come back all year plus get access …

Lauren Harris

An amazing museum with ever changing exhibits and learning experiences!!

Bella Milazzo

To explore with your children all what science have to give prize less enjoy

Michael Pontacolone

The New York Hall of Science was built for the 1964 World's Fair, which I vividly remember. Those interested in science and technology, young and old, this is a place with hundreds exhibits to awaken the imagination that the lens of science can open to the world.

Jessie G.

loved the queens night market there!

Kristine Ganancial

Love this museum. I’ve been taking my son here for nearly 10 years and he still loves it. It’s very interactive and hands on. The best part is the hidden playground in the back which has all sorts of surprises within. The cafe isn’t that great so pack a lunch.

Tiffany M.

Went with family and had a lot of fun. It wasnt too crowded on a Saturday. There were tons of hands on activites for us and the kids. The great hall was our favorite part of the museum, the gift shop was a fun place to shop as well.

Stephen Fischer

This place was so cool!! It has many interactive exhibits and illustrations/signs chock full of fun facts and explanations. Excellent place for kids to go and explore various principles of science. You can create a giant bubble, construct structures out of PVC, and go through a rope challenge. Some displays have videos as well.

Denise Porter

I cannot explain how much my son and my students loooove the NY Hall of Science. There is so much to do that one visit is not enough. Though the hands-on activities are great for kids, adults will enjoy too!

Commander Fight Club

Ive been attending this museum since childhood 30 plus years ago and now i get to share it with my daughter. Many exhibits havnt changed but new ones do rotate occasionally. Its highly interactive for the kids and the mini golf is a must

Mr XP

A popular museum for kinds in Queens.

Ryan Powers

The general admission is worth every cent. But the upcharge exhibits are insanely overpriced and underwhelming. $7/person to look at some Lego statues? $5/person to play on a dirty broken down old playground? No way. Save your money and skip the extras.

Feng Liu

A great museum/playing place for kids, but parking is kinda expensive, would have gone with street parking if I knew. It can be a good deal if a family stays there for 3 hrs or more. In general, pretty good experience with my baby.

starladaqt419

Love, love the Hall of Science, but I know that my son loves it more than me especially the Preschool Palace for children under 6. Preschool Palace is great because it is geared towards young children who really don't like large crowds. Also I'm happy to see that they have an infant area. I have been taking him there since he was 2 yrs old and he can't get enough! One of the greatest places for young children to really learn about science!

Boneless Tacos

This place has really cool stuff and its huge. Its good for school trips but also good if you wanna go to have fun

Karen Lerner

There were too many camps my grandson didn't want to stay too noisy. Was told on the way out better to come after 2

Amber Qamar

Great place for kids to have fun and parents to relax

Joseph Siarkowicz

Great science exhibits. Try to go when there is no crowd

Willy Illas

It is a nice "extra activity" to do while in the area. But unless there's a special exhibit or event, its just grossly overpriced.

Rikki Jones

Great place for kids of any age. My four year old son has every intention to build his own robot and fly it into outer space. LOVE IT.

Khalil Favard

Great place to bring the kids on the weekend

Boris P.

Went there for the night market preview night #2. I didnt go the actual hall of science. But seen it from outside and then walking to train you get to see the rocket outside. Definitely makes you want to go in and check it out. I will do and will post here and adjust rating.

Monica Lafaye

Great place to bring the kids and be a kid all over again. New exhibits all the time, wonderful learning experience. Interactive interesting and fun activities. Awesome place to spend some time and learn new things. Free on street parking and also paid parking adjacent. Call for free admission day/time. School groups, sleepovers, private parties welcomed.

Hillarie Padilla

Such a cool place I actually was part of a little science experiment which I got to see part of my DNA from my saliva with the help of the scientist there.

This Museum wasn't what I thought it could be. I wish there was more to show and educate others. It's a small museum with limited sources and not many staff around to ask questions. It was okay, not the best museum. We did have fun learning what they did have, I hope they can add a little more excitement to it and expand the place to learn more in depth about science. It was okay for the kids.

godly aleanna

It's really good but but it's better if you hang out with friends or family in the hall of science

Melchior du Boullay

Average place. OK for kids. Exhibits are oldish but the lab was fun.

Jay

I used to love coming here as a child. With all the space, I would recommend expanding the facility to provide activities for all age groups

Damaris C

Good place to go on a rainy day. The kids enjoyed it.

mengdi lin

This is the kind of museum I wish Houston have. There's a lot of interactive areas for kids and adults to learn interesting applications of science. We came about 2 hours before closing so we didn't have time to check out everything. But …

Mohammad Uddin

Good for youngs, can have hand on scientific experience.

vennie Spetsieris

Best place to being kids on a weekend or off school days. Educational and fun

Jolene Oldham

I LOVE this place! I participate in the World Maker Faire every year and this place is amazing!

Erika Medina

I loved this place when I was a teenager and I love it even more now that i am an adult with a child. They have new exhibits for the children, and so much interactive learning activities. It’s free Sunday morning and it’s a great way to spend a day of an inexpensive experience. There’s a park outside that the kids really love and a huge cafeteria. Affordable gift shops and they even show nonfiction science movies. We learn something new every time we go since the place is so big.

Sofia Guajardo

Fun activities for parents and kids. We really enjoyed our time here with my family!

Imad Khan

It's okay. Just okay. For the price of entry, there really isn't much to see or much to do. They need to add more to the museum. I hope that they can do better and improve the exhibitions.

Kyle Is My World

We are active members to NYSCI... you can find us here pretty much every weekend

Suchitra Kamath

One of my favorite places to visit with the kids! Tons of fun stuff for kids to do! Learning while having fun!!

ASHIF RIZWAN

It was a nice trip.. But didn't like the idea of taking additional ticket for the brick show!

Kenneth Otero

Always loved going here but it starting to get run down they need to start fixing some of the exhibits and they need new and more fun activities and they need to start aiming for the younger kids to.

Kin Wong

It looks great on the outside, the science on the inside might be too much for me. Please keep that in mind Google. Not feeling to great about myself. Thanks, Google, for asking though.

Anne Fernandena

My friend took me to the Makers Faire held here. The Faire was great, it was wonderful to see all the creative ideas and energy that people put forth and their true passion for science. The faire included the Hall of Science so we got to enjoy some of the exhibits available. What a great place!! I really enjoyed the hands on feel of the place, really great for kids. It was a bit crowded so kinda hard to experience everything but it was alot of fun!

Nubia Marquez

Good place to go with children. There is a space for toddler, library and different exposition. Spacious and accessible.

Philip G

Great museum to pass the day with the kids. Lots of interesting displays. Many are interactive which is good for the kids that want to touch everything.

Kate Navarro-McKay

Free entry if you have a membership at Brooklyn Children's Museum! This is an INCREDIBLE child-friendly museum that really covers kids from early childhood through their teens. There's a staggering number of hands-on exhibits with very good scientific explanations, and frequent demonstrations and events. Crazy awesome seasonal exhibits like spectacular gingerbread houses. It's a fun day with a ton of learning.

Javier Fojo

Nice place to spend a day with your kids, lost of activities for them to have fun and also learn. Parking is $12, i will not recommend to buy the ticket for the movie as there is a lot to do. Bonito lugar para ir y pasarse el dia entero en familia, muchas actividades para que los niños jueguen y aprendan.

Mary Collins

The children enjoyed everything about it!

NYC Birthday Clowns

The is a fun place to play and discover! This is an amazing child-friendly museum that covers activities for kids from early childhood through their teens. There's a great number of hands-on exhibits with very good scientific explanations, and frequent demonstrations and events. Awesome seasonal exhibits like spectacular gingerbread houses - Ginger bread lane is open for the holiday season and it’s super! There is also place where you can see microbes through a microscope, which is definitely a cool experience for kids. There's a particular time when experiments are done so do a bit of research if you plan to see a specific experiment. It's a fun day with a lot of learning.

Casey Penk

Really great place to explore and discover about science. Great for kids and school groups.

Jevon Morales

I have always loved it here. From being a kid to taking my kids always a good time with lots of learning fun. Pro tip: wake up early on a Sunday make it there by 10am and get in for free

Mark Schwartz

Good museum for children, some of the exhibits didn't work properly.

Sade Powell

Great place for kids and adults alike. There’s an interesting play area with features kids of any age will like. Plan for a few hours or to visit multiple times to really see the entire place. Great, pleasant, helpful staff too!

KK Millwood

Wonderful museum for children to visit. There are so many areas with fun activities that your child will never get bored.

Diadora Marie

Awsome place to visit most things you need to pay to enter to get the full experience but we enjoyed everything else. Very clean and there cafeteria are is really nice will come again !

SA Ahmed

This a very desired place for students and people who like science and scientific entertainment. Area is very big, big parking. Ticket price is high, but lot of visitors. This place is also like a picnic spot out side the building. Lot of visitors even cooking around the science museum. Inside, satisfactory amount of science exhibition like test, execution, movies, puzzle, game, information, lot of entertainment and fun. This no doubt a favorite place of children, learning is a fun here for them. Public transport train 7 in some distance and a bus. A restaurant inside, a some food cart and small food vendor outside.

Angelica Romero

Very fun museum. We spent about 3 hrs there. The kids loved it and there was alot of hands on activities. Staff is very nice. I would recommend coming here.

Brian Yi

Awesome place for kids and family. There are lots of different things to do and learn here. One of the employees was so nice. He explained the different attractions at the hall and taught us a few things we did not know. The prices are fair parking lot is huge.

Michael Bessent

Nice science museum with a huge amount of interactivity. Would be very good for younger children. However there seemed to be some lack of detail with many of the displays not explained amazingly well

卄卂几フㄖㄚ匚乇

This is really good museum because it has a lot of hands-on activities. You can make experiments and there are places where they teach you. However, they really need to update their exhibits. They don't frequently do that. When I was 7, I came here and now they still have similar exhibits.

Ariel Gavrielov

Amazing for all ages. I love that its all hand on. Great place to visit.

David Levchenko

Great venue - too much to see in one visit! Building is getting a little old and looking a little run down, but don’t judge a book by it’s cover. We took a group of students here in April, and they particularly enjoyed the Mathematics area.

Alina T

Excellent museum. Very interactive and fun for kids and adults of all ages. A few stations didn't work however hence 1 star off.

Erick Prado

Cool place to visit though they barely change their exhibits

shatara foster

The best toddler section I visited all summer

Greg Christakis

Every couple of weeks there's something new, lotsa energy. Great job with the events for all children, even me lol. Best family package compared to other science museums and parking is included. Also, the young staff are so helpful and informative. Selected with the best school grades

Katharine Gonzalez

Went with my grandsons. They love this place. We go and are there for hours. Always something to do and the exhibits change. I always know it will be a fun day when we go there.

Haewon Latorre

So much to do. It’s engaging and an awesome place for play indoors for toddlers and little kids. I’m not so sure kids would have fun past 8 years of age.

Elad Katz

Really fun but sometimes just too crowded

David Goodrick

Excellent learning opportunities, discoveries, and great fun for kids and the adults that tag along.

B. Sullivan

On the smaller side as far as museums go, but if you stop to think about the exhibits you can be there for several hours. The display of how childbirth works is particularly fascinating even for an adult. Take your kids, take your significant others, or go by yourself, just be ready to learn and experience things in a new way.

Adam Lee

What an awesome place! Full of exciting and thrilling things to see and do!

A.J. Schabhuttl

This is a very nice place to spend an afternoon with the kids. Very interactive and it covers many different fields of science. Parking is close to the building, food is affordable, and the gift shop has a lot if nice items. Great for children between 5 and 12.

Wong Jamie

It’s full of educational fun for kids and there are so many nice activities. It’s really cool that they have a toddler room for younger one to have fun also.

James Schoeneman

Great experience and lots of fun things for kids and adults to see.

P. Jason Wong

Most fun I’ve had learning the science.

jcano0430

We bought the admission package for 4 people. When we got to the counter we wanted to add 2 paid exhibits (the science playground and one about how planes fly). The girl who was ringing us up redeemed the voucher and was then charging us admission again in a special package to include these two events that were only supposed to come out to $9 a person. When she gave me the total of almost $60 and I questioned why if it would only be $27 (there were only 3 of us) she seemed confused and made it seem like she was doing is a favor by taking off the admission fee. Be careful they don't double charge you! Also, some of the exhibits need to be updated as they look old and worn out.

Ashef Ameer

Usually go here for National Chemistry Week that happens in the fall, great event for college students and kids to enjoy. Museum also has various things anyone interested in science would also enjoy

Maria Paula Angarita

Tired, old, smelly... extremely disappointed. The gift shop is the only reason I give this place any stars. Lots of great gifts and gadgets. If only the museum was half as good...

Silvie Bonne

Super fun museum, with a lot of interactive activities. Intresting, educational and enjoyable for all ages. (I couldn't give 5 stars, because the restrooms were unclean)

Lindsey Hankes

They were setting up for a new exhibit so there wasn’t much to see. Also not great for younger kids so it’ll be a few years before we return

Maria Hernandez

Such a fun museum. Great things to do and learn for people of all ages!

Dipika Kaushik

Amazing and exciting place to bring your children.

Shantal Jackson

We had a good time however thought it was strange that they have a playground you have to pay for as a separate admissions that adults need to pay for as well, but it's a playground. Even if there is some science to learn, it is still a playground.
