You have all the opinions of real people like you who consume the services of Ground Zero Museum Workshop (Museum) in the state of New York.
To this day the business gets a rating of 4.4 out of 5 and the rating has been calculated on 148 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is really good, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we may say that the score is very faithful. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum corresponds to the category of Museum.
Moving and very sentimental. I am in NYC a lot and still am struck by the feelings this place creates for me.
Very moving a must see part on New York
I was impressed by the museum of ground zero it was tiny but had a great audio visual presentation of what lead to the 9/11 attacks and what the familes felt and showed some artifcats of what were left behind from that day. They offered memoriabblia of to help with the making of ground zero
So this photographer became the only one officially allowed on the site to document on images on film and I'm glad he did so in a tasteful way. This is basically a one-room gallery of the images with posted numbers so you can listen to the description of the time the image was taken. Told it was meant to be intimate as it provided a place for some mourning families to grieve.
So sad to see. The whole place looks like a cemetery of all those people who died that day. A beautiful memorial.
You need to see this when in NY
wonderful place to learn about history
(Translated by Google) This is a very special exhibition hall, which records how different people can see the experience 911 from different angles. Here are the stories of firefighters, survivors telling, short stories, and more. There is also an oversized blue sky gathering map that makes sense. Beautiful and wonderful experience, as a teenager I personally enjoyed the experience and came with my family. So touching and personal.
Small, intimate museum. Amazing photos that capture that day and the resulting recovery along with artifacts that you can touch.
This place is small and tucked out of sight on the second floor of a multi-use building. But if you are on a trip to NYC with young kids, and have been marching thru gigantic museums you will appreciate this place. It is a small space filled with photos and artifacts of the 9/11 clean up and recovery effort. It is moving and informative, but spares us the horrors of the actual event. The audio tour is very interesting and easy for adults and kids alike.
A kind of good place
I don't quite have words to describe how moving my experience at the ground zero museum was. All I'm going to say is that it should be at the top of your list!
I found this museum online and figured that my friends and I could make a pit stop after visiting the high line and Plunge Roof top. This little museum is a must if you are in the area.
Oh boy, so many tears in that little place, so full of emotions and real people. Thank you for the experience, i'll never forget it

Dont let size fool you! This museum is truely incredible. We had the most amazing experience here at the Ground Zero Museum Workshop. We got to give our kids the opportunity to experience and get an understanding of the tragedy that affected the whole world. The tour is really accessible for both kids and adults. The visual representation, through the pictures and artifacts puts you at the location and helps you to understand the gravity of what Ground Zero was like. The stories and the way in which it is told is very clever. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and strongly encourage others to experience it for themselves. Definitely the best small museum we have visited.

A place to see. If you are in the NYC go there, absolutely.
I loved this place to honor those who lost their lives by helping others, without knowing what happen the next moment.
The main reason behind my 2 stars is the fact that the "museum" is actually more like a studio to honor the photographer. I questioned his works and some information I found out about him on the internet by simply googling his name to find more of his photography. I did post the information to the "museums" twitter page and that started a chain reaction of Mr. Suson making up a bogus statement about me having to be escorted out of his "museum" for harassing him and 9/11 victims family members. I visited the "museum" on July 3rd, he made these accusations on July 5th when I had already left NYC. The art in his photography is touching, and the artifacts he has on display are too. However, I will not support someone that is willing to make up such things about individuals for just questioning statements about them. I never once trashed 9/11 victims, or their family members, or first responders.
This is the best museum about 9/11 and Ground Zero, here ris the true story and very beautiful pictures by photographer Gary Suson. This is a small museum, but big in emotions en artifacts. This museum is the best I have ever seen !!
We had a awesome time at the ground zero museum. There are so many stories and artifacts. I'm sure it's the best museum about 9/11. Thanks Gary Suson for the great time at your museum!!
(Translated by Google) Moving but at the same time, the visit is quick because there is not much. Interesting. Tuesday night free but quantities are limited. Excellent. Enough said.
I I'm love America
It was very interesing and we had a big emotion
At first I was afraid that this would be one of those disrespectful tourist traps about September 11th, but given the many good reviews, I decided to take a look. The Ground Zero Museum Workshop is a collection of artifacts and many pictures about the recovery in the months following September 11th. It is primarily the work of Gary Marlon Suson, the only official photographer who was allowed to photograph at Ground Zero. He had exclusive rights to take up-close pictures during the recovery (with no pay), and as a result had a very moving collection of pictures. This Museum/Workshop is not touristy at all. In fact, they only let some 20 people into the room during a given tour, and if you wouldn't know where to find it, you probably won't even notice it at street level (you actually have to ring a bell for them to let you walk up). The tour starts out with a short documentary about the photographer and how he got access to the site and how he didn't publish the pictures until years later. After the video, the tour guide highlights some of the most important/popular artifacts, and then you are on your own exploring the artifacts (that you are encouraged to touch and inspect). Equipped with an audio guide you can also get an explanation (by the photographer) about each picture. All in all, it's a moving tribute, and you'll learn much more about the impact of 9/11, than if you were to just visit the World Trade Center Memorial (that is until that museum there opens in 2014).
Glad I came to see it.....great photography....
Amazing just amazing

Excellent place to visit
A phenomenal collection of photos and artifacts from the Ground Zero excavation after 9/11. Gary Marlon Suson (professional photographer for the 9 month excavation process) has contributed both his exceptional photographic skill and ability to humanise the storytelling process. He has produced an irreplaceable exhibition and superb audioguide.

Visited with my kids. I was a little surprised at how much they enjoyed and took away from the narratives. I think this was the first time that they grasped the gravity of the events that unfolded on September 11 and the global consequences of the attack. A little hard to find, you'll have to keep your eyes open for the small hanging sign.
Very nice memorial. Specially during the night. Just waiting the opening of the museum.
Never Forget!!! What a stark reminder of the Herrick attack on our country by radical Muslims
I would say that 9/11 was a memorable time for us all.
A wonderful little treasure of a museum. Very interesting and emotional. A great experience and a tribute to the wonderful people of New York. Never Forget
Tasteful, intimate and so moving. Best memorial in NYC....must see
If you want to know what it was like at ground zero and wish to support charities for rescue workers and families, this is where you need to be. We lucked out and Gary Suson was there to sign one of a limited edition photography collection book "Requiem" for us. It is a beautiful and if you can get one of these books, definitely do, it's worth it. You meet at the building, go up to the exhibit room where you will find places to sit. Excellent footage and videos are shown for 15 minutes after a short introduction. You are given headphones for the audio tour and the photographer narrates each of the artifacts and you may move through them as you please until the end of the two-hour time block. It really is some fantastic photography to give you a sense of connection for this life-changing event.

Poignant exhibition to honor the lives lost on that day. Sending love to the victims and their families today and always. A fitting and touching tribute.
I took this tour back in May. I’ve been meaning to write a review because it was so amazing. It was such an emotional and memorable experience. You will not be disappointed. There were items there that will just blow your mind away. You are allowed to have a connection with all the artifacts and also allowed to hold some, including a piece of plane that was involved in the World Trade Center. Thank you to the Firefighter who captured all these memories, allowing people to have an experience such as the one I did.

Cool
A moving tribute to some of the personal costs of 9/11, this museum is great. Gary and his team are knowledgeable and respectful. Thanks for such an experience.
Ground Zero is so moving. You could just stand there and feel something in the air. It can be emotional. The fountain is really beautiful. All the victims names are etched into it. You have to get a reservation for the timeslot you are visiting. It’s very organized and easy. Make sure you go to the bathroom before you visit. There is none onsite and you will be in line and going through security for awhile.

We enjoyed visiting this museum very much. It’s only one room but it’s full of photos and artefacts from the aftermath of 9/11. Each one is numbered and you are given an audio guide so you just punch in the corresponding number to hear the photographer himself tell you about it. Seating is provided so you can listen in comfort. Allow 90 mins to hear all 100 recordings. Start with 101 which is the introduction then continue with 1, 2, 3 etc.
Great place to visit - Museum blew me away, a must if you are in New York
It was awesome
This was the most touching display of all that I saw in New York. The ground zero museum is a MUST SEE if you visit New York! Thank goodness they provide tissue your going to need them.

Very heart touching. It is a great way to honor those who lost their lives and for the men and women who served and lost their lives helping others.

The memorial site is amazing: It gives you a serious sense without being heavy. The concept of the pools representing the two fallen towers is impressive. We missed a few signs that will provide information about the exact events of 9/11. We ended up using wikipedia. The arrangements for getting passes ahead of time worked out really well.

Good place for the tourists and the other people who don't know what Happened to the past !
What an amazing and moving collection. Such a personal and respectful view of that horrific day.
(Translated by Google) The most emotional museum about 9/11 that I have visited. It's just a small room, but you can easily devote 2 hours. It also tells personal stories of some of those people. A tough museum that, at the same time, fills you with admiration for New Yorkers. We were looking forward to this and prepurchased tickets with Go pass, we planned to go Saturday, googled the opening hours noted 11 - 5pm, go pass info and the organisations website indicated that last tour was at 1pm, which was fine as we were happy to do the audio tour. We planned our day with that in mind, arrived at 3pm, where we happened to be stuck at the front door with another family trying to visit the museum with their daughter. We both rang the bell for awhile with no answer (waited about 10 minutes) ended up having to call the museum where we were advised they had closed at 2. Unfortunately this day was the last day that we could make the workshop, as Sunday had limited opening hours and we had further things booked and then fly out the following day, money and time wasted - when an update and clarity to organisations website / google info would have solved this issue Recommend changing/updating google info/website, updating website to clearly indicate opening hours and some sort of signage to the door
