REVIEWS OF International UFO Museum And Research Center IN New Mexico

David H. Nguyen

I honestly do not know what I was expecting, however, upon arriving I was just heavily disappointed in the museum, the city, and the overall experience. It was like walking through a school science fair with pictures on poster board and middle exhibit was really dated. They did have some cool lights and fog but was just expecting more.

PATRICIA M

small. very cute and entertaining. learned some cool facts.

Delvito Johnson

Very interesting place. Alot of reading involved not a kid friendly place. I brought my 2 children thinking they would love it. But they just like the other children there seemed very bored. I think that there should be more kid involved exhibits. But has the potential to be a 5 star.

Nate Chertack

Go if you're a true believer or just want to check it off the bucket list. If you're looking for a scientific museum with objective evidence...look elsewhere. The exhibits are mainly copies of newspaper clippings, old photos of blurry spacecraft, and exhibit summaries that look like they were part of someone's school project. Many of the exhibits offer summaries like "weather balloon...or ALIEN SPACESHIP?!?! You decide!" The museum also has a life-sized diorama of aliens exiting a UFO, which occasionally spins and spits out smoke. The gift shop has plenty of great souvenirs for all your ET needs. It was an interesting experience and I'm glad I went, but it's definitely not your average museum. 4 stars more for entertainment than for educational value.

Dario Chavez

I have been to this museum a few times when I still lived in New Mexico. I don't know of the authenticity of the material, but if you're in the area or have guests from out of state stop by. It is definitely interesting.

Frank Emmons

A really fun place to stop with the kids. For the price of admission (very reasonable) it is an easy hour and a half to see all the exhibits and read all the 'evidence'. UFOs, the controversy and/or conspiracy theories that surround them at not my cup of tea - but this place was still worth the visit and my middle school aged kids loved it. There is something for everyone at the gift shop too at very reasonable prices.

Brittany Padula

We thought it was a Restaurant called "Openo's" ...and maybe we'd be greeted by Italian themed aliens....but the neon sign outfront actually read "OPEN 10-5"

Ben Newman

I really had a great time here! I love the aliens and the pictures I took here were fantastic! Plus it's not expensive at all!

Holly Wooten

We loved this place. Had a lot of fun her with the family.

Silvia Reyes

This is our second time coming and I believe it is worth the stop. We all hear stories about Roswell and having the chance to see reports, news articles and displays first hand was fun.. The entry fee was well priced, its picture friendly and the gift shop is full of fun, cute little souvenirs.

DRAGON GAMES

I learned many things at this place, and maybe you can too

Sean Wilson

The international UFO Museum was a great stop while in Roswell, New Mexico. Consists of two portions. The first being a timeline and catalogue of the events leading up to, during, and after the famous Roswell UFO crash (hence the museum). The second half is about various other encounters throughout the history of man and their being documented in ancient or extint cultures. There is a nice gift show at the end. Pick something up with the museum logo on it as all the rest of the items can be found at any of the stores lining Main Street for less

Courtney Mc Fate

Admission price is not pricey. A lot of good information here. Not a huge place but big enough to house really good exhibits. Enjoyed our stop here!

Rocio Jones

Very nice place to stop by. My children really enjoyed the visit and we took many pictures.

Patrick Smith

Wanted to go since I was a kid. Went with wife and dogs. It was well laid out very informative and has great displays. It is not as fancy as some museums, but the information and enthusiasm is very well appreciated. Super friendly people.

Kirby A

Its a great little museum. Very interesting. Lots of reading to do by also some cold artifacts and displays. Been there twice now

sheri crytzer

Good place for adults spend a couple of hours indoors for less than $10.00. I wouldn't expect children to stay that long. A lot of reading.

Hexing Witch

Very friendly staff. Nice exhibit. Alot of information. Great pricing.

Rob Evory

Maybe best place in Roswell for UFO related content. Love that we could bring the dog. If we couldn’t being her there is no way we could have done anything in town. For $5 there is no reason to skip this if you have the time. Believing in UFOs or not you could go through the museum in less than an hour or spend three or four hours.

Jodie P

We really enjoyed it . Very informative and makes you think about what occurred. The alien displays were also a great touch and the gift shop was very cool. A lot of great stuff. If you are Roswell. A must see .

Timothy Martinez

Small yet very fun and interesting place to check off the bucket list. Admission is very reasonable as well. Over all, loved it

Fin motolinia

One of a kind

Jacob Dong

Funny history and great exhibits. It is worth a visit. However, if you do go, take your time and read everything- even though I am a nonbeliever it is still fascinating.

Dylan Aubrey

Has a lot to look at and read. Very interesting stuff. And some great photo ops. Worth checking out at least once.

Brian Caster

The photo machine in the back took me for 5 bucks so that's not the best memory of the place.

Charene Robinson

One of those things you do just to say you did it. We came through town on our way to Carlsbad and had to stop and “see the aliens”. The museum is small, but full of research materials and interesting “artifacts”. It only took a few minutes to go through and thankfully was pretty inexpensive. We did spend a little more time and money in the gift shop. It’s fun, but don’t expect to be blown away.

Mark Wellman

Had a great time walking about looking at the exhibits. Spent about an hour or so. Gift shop has everything. Still smile when i look at my mini alien gumby.

Isaac Fry

Excellent museum and great value. 5$ admission. They really have a lot to offer. Your sticker lasts all day so you can actually go eat lunch and come back. Definitely recommend

Bob Henze

Very well laid out in sections .. The Library is Amazing. with video shows throughout the day... I am glad I went.

J N

The exhibits are well done here even if the main subject matter is hard to work with. They do a great job of interpreting the history of the main event and its impact on the local community. The exhibit hall is pleasant and clean. The gift shop is kitschy and fun. Well worth the visit. This is one-of-a-kind.

Larry Workman

A bit cheesy but we had a fun time.

karen johnson

I love that there is so much information to read in this museum! I also really loved that they allow pets inside because we didn't want to leave our cat in the car. (He came in with us in a cat backpack) It was an interesting stop over for us, well worth the stop.

David Inman

So much fun for such a small entrance fee! My oldest son, almost 4, asked to go back multiple times after leaving. Hint - stop in the attached library and ask for the free kids packet. Lots of interesting things for adults as well.

Arthur Johnson

Great price and the staff very friendly, isn't so much time to walk through all the place! It was a nice visit!

Cassandra Geske-Ross

so much fun for the inner skeptic in you! great history of Roswell and how it all became! great shows and fun artifacts inside!

Kadison Willis

super cool & interesting museum! and only $5 to get in which is not bad. it is small but has lots of info and cool facts & artifacts. worth the trip!

Mario Infante

Not much to see other than news articles & movie props. Spent more time in the gift shop. No complaints about the staff, everyone one was really nice.

Catherine Martinez

Although the town may be overrated, this is a MUST SEE when traveling through Roswell. Staff went above and beyond with excellent customer service. This museum is pet friendly and only $5! The gift shop is wonderful and full of fun and stylish toys/clothing. The Museum itself was AWESOME! My favorite part was the Research Library. The two girls working were extremely informative. The extent of material offered to view was AMAZING. Definitely recommend visiting!!!

Jeremy Cooper

Cool place to visit. Cool information.

Jason Boxer

Pretty neat little place, only 5.00 admission. A ton of literature on the area 51 crash, self guided, fun for all ages

Donna Ackels

What a blast. Only thing is I wish there was a system to search the books in their library, they had hundreds of books and nothing to assist in finding titles. Not even in alphabetical order

Ty Wallace

It was a lot of reading but what else can you do at a museum based off of something that the government shut down. There were many interesting things to learn about and there was a movie theater as well. It was clean and well-kept, as expected. Overall I had fun, exit through the gift shop.

Jennifer Burrell

For $5, it’s a great place to read up on Roswell’s history. Some cool antique things to look at and lots of info on ufo sightings/findings etc. It is kinda small, but we enjoyed looking around. The gift shop has a variety of goodies. Staff is nice and friendly. Definitely recommend stopping in.

Cheryl Shearin

Very detailed description of the 1947 Roswell incident. Exibits are well done. Was very impressed. Gift shop has fun souvenirs. Informative videos and movies are available at different times during the day and are well worth watching. We had a great time.

Pam Levi

I really don't like writing negative reviews, but if you are thinking about including Roswell in a New Mexico road trip, SKIP IT! My husband and I drive around the state for a week, and came a few hours out of our way for what we thought would be a kitschy/fun stop. It was a waste, and this museum looks like a really big 8th Grade Science Fair project. If you are nearby anyway, it might be a fun stop...but definitely don't make any effort to get here, or to Roswell in general.

Timothy Sparks

The museum was interesting. It was mostly about the ufo crash near Roswell. You will do a lot of reading if you read every display. It was interesting to see and something you have to do if you go to Roswell but I don't think it is anything we would do again.

Eric Salas

What’s inside the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, New Mexico? There have been so many things written and spoken about the 1947 spaceship crash in Roswell, and still many people are asking the same questions over and over again — “Did the aliens really land in Roswell?” “Are these UFO sightings real?” When you visit International UFO Museum and Research Center, your questions will be answered. The Center has people who have been studying this out-of-this-world stuff for years. When I was there, there were even book authors and guest speakers answering questions about UFO phenomenons from visitors. The majority of the items in the museum are video and newspaper clippings. So you will be spending your time mostly reading texts on the wall and watching videos.

Ryan Fuson

Nice to see and had a lot of information. Was with young kids and most of the exhibits were reading, which unfortunately if it’s not on a TV or touch screen kids lose attention quickly. The price is very reasonable and I do recommend it if you’re in town. The staff was very nice.

Hoang Bui

It is interesting but it is very small museum

Willow Owings

Very cool place. Lots of history and pictures plus good photo ops. Not too crowded. Definitely worth the $5 admission. Plus it’s pet friendly!

spookmotion

The museum was absolutely amazing. All of the staff was friendly, and it was one of the only few places with good, unique, and fairly priced souvenirs. 11/10

Alex Guerra

Great place to bring the family. A lot of history and information. Friendly staff. Reasonable pricing. Good alien fun.

Nali Yan

That's fun place even if you believe or not. By the way, I have seen several times. Unidentified..., How identify it? ;^)

Salvador zuniga

Stop by if you are in the area, it’s kind of a cheesy place but its cheap enough that you end up enjoying the tour. Great attitude from the staff.

Cindy Pence

This is totally worth the stop if you're driving through Roswell. As others have said, it's mostly photos, newspaper clippings, and interviews but it's a good, geeky way to spend your time especially if you grew up loving sci-fi. And it's ridiculously cheap.

American Custom

Reasonably priced, fun and interesting. Looks like a cover up

Melissa Johnson

Yes, it's a tourist trap. But go anyways. A few good photo ops, AC works great and the people watching is fantastic. They do welcome pets! And your admission sticker could be good for discounts!

Jeremy Day

This place is so cool for anybody who loves or is even curious about the history and culture of UFO's and aliens in this country and beyond. It is not kitschy or corny; there is tons of documentation and photos from the 1947 Roswell crash, to alleged cover-ups, all the down to artwork and dioramas of aliens in modern pop culture. The price is not bad at all, and for someone who likes to read everything like myself, this place easily has a couple hours worth of things to keep you busy and entertained. Well worth a visit!

Elio C

Nothing exciting

Marcelina Perez

VERY interesting story! But the museum has lots of reading that most likely does not interest young children. The museum contains very little of interest to youngsters. But the main alien display is quite awesome with super subtle details if you pay attention. I came out of the museum with a different perspective on what happened back in area 51.

TJ Deemer

Friendly staff, cheap entry fee. Lots of information on the coverup. Cool props. Awesome giftshop.

ned kibad

visiting a museum of UFO, can never be as good as just watching it on TV. :D it was great day that month

Peter USA

Fun place to visit, interesting. General admission is only $5. It is well worth going. The children will enjoy it as well.

Tommy Bennett

Neat place. We have been here twice on summer trips. Lots of articles and information surrounding the Roswell Incident. The gift shop always has great conversation pieces to bring back.

Bernie W

Great stop with all the history in one place. Parking an RV on a side street was not fun.

Jonathan Tennis

Whether you believe or not is really not the important part about this place. I found it to be an interesting stop on a recent road trip with lots of photos and exhibits. Gift shop has everything alien you can think of. Price is very reasonable and it only took us an hour to walk through the place. I wasn’t a believer before and that didn’t change after this experience but the staff was pleasant and I’d definitely recommend this to anyone in the area. The truth is out there.

Kevin Kalculus

This was a pretty cool museum, but I wouldn't come to Roswell just for it. Most of what they had were photos and articles that I imagine you could find on the internet these days. That said, they did have it all arranged in a helpful way. If you're a conspiracy nut though, you'd probably love it.

Wayne

It's pretty average, but suck it up, because you're going anyways. Let's face it. If you're in Roswell, NM, you're here for the aliens. In Roswell, there's a small tourist trap of an area where there are alien-themed places to visit and throw away money. Spoiler alert; there are no real aliens. There is, however, lots of "history" on said aliens. If you're interested in that, this is the place to go. This place is set up like a normal history museum. With countless stories, timelines, and artifacts that are intended to support the alien crash landing decades ago. Although they do admit, on a large sign near the entrance, that there is no actual evidence. Sad. Beyond that, lots of cheap looking decor, pictures, a few videos, and statues. On the plus side, it's not super expensive. And if you don't plan on reading everything, you won't be here very long. Once again, if you're in the area, you are going anyways. Just set expectations low, where they belong.

Abby Terhark

Very educational and insightful for the open-minded. Cute gift shop too!

Rebecca Lee

I think the staff is the best part of this place. It’s cool to know that actual aliens are alive and well. Employed at the gift shop of the museum.

jose puron

The UFO museum was a really fun spot to visit.its only a $5 entrance fee, and $3 for active military or veterans. The staff is incredibly friendly with a smile as you walk in the door. The front desk gentleman was very polite and orderly. This place is pet friendly so dont be afraid to bring your pup. They even gave her a snack. Higly recommend if in Roswell.

Donna Hewitt

My husband and I visited in April of 2019 and it was good, however, I thought it was a little too Hollywood for my taste. I was pretty serious about coming to Roswell but this was a little out there for me.

James G

Pretty neat stop if in the area but I wouldn't go out too far out of your way. Lots of good photo ops. Spend an hour or so checking out the many photos and stories posted throughout the museum. Gift shop with many quirky items. Many shops on the street outside the museum.

J. D.

I'm an extraterrestrial enthusiast and I was pleasantly pleased with the unique experience of this museum. It's kid friends so it doesnt git too far into details that would prove startling. It's a must see in Roswell and i left with some great purchases from the souvenir shop.

HK K

They have informational articles on the wall you can stand and read. It's small and boring. It only cost $5. The few little displays are such a joke.

c

was great had a lot of cool things from the 1947 ufo crash

Tiffany Martin

This museum was definitely underwhelming. There's a ton to read (and the posted descriptions have several typos, which is just a pet peeve for me). It could definitely use a 21st century update, and I wouldn't recommend staying long with small kids (they'll be bored quickly). It has a couple of neat photo op areas. The library research center was super cool! It had a ton of media and information as well as a meteorite. If you're in Roswell, it's worth the $5 to stop by. I wouldn't go much out of the way to visit. If you go here, definitely check out the UFO Spacewalk down the road also!

Nathan Goodfellow

I had an amazing time at this awesome museum! My favorite feature was the research rooms where books of historical UFO sightings were shelved. What an amazing place! Well worth the visit if you are in Roswell!

D Makin

Lots of very detailed source material on the Roswell crash and government cover up. Very interesting and adult oriented mostly. Could do with a computer update and more interactive areas to interest the younger generation. A cafe would be good too. Staff very helpful and courteous. Must see in Roswell.

Tory Janssen

Super fun museum!!!! To be honest I had never heard of the Roswell Cover-up stuff, but we were driving home through New Mexico and my husband was dying to go. So we stopped in, wasn't expensive at all! They are awesome and give discounts to veterans/military/fire fighters/police officers. I think we spent like a good 2 hours there.. they give you a sticker and it's good for all day and you can exit and re-enter the museum all day. The staff was super friendly!!!! Lots of awesome pictures, replicated artifacts from the wreck and lots of history.

William Smith

Okay, so this UFO thing isn't going to be for everyone but I'd recommend having a gander. The price is cheap, it's a good way to get out of the heat and if you have any interest in the subject whatsoever you'll find this place interesting. I've read the books, I have an interest in the subject and was expecting a lot of cheesiness. I was surprised. You can spend an entire day in here reading the displays. Probably more. Along with the well known "lore" and nonsense there is a spattering of really good information on what happened outside Roswell in 1947. You'll see cheesy dioramas that add a good entertainment value. I liked it. Also, should you be interested, their library and research rooms completely took me by surprise. They probably have a copy of EVERYTHING ever published on the subject and it was something to see all this documentation in one place. I left pleased with it all.

Ryan Foelske

Would have been cool and cutting edge in the 1990s, but is very dated. Holds lots of great information, just newspapers pinned to the wall...not like interactive exhibits these days. For the $5 entry fee, it's not a bad deal...just not great. My kids were bored. The information was a bit repetitive and did not hold my attention - and I'm a big reader. Given such fascinating content of aliens and government cover-up, it should be much more attention grabbing. Hopefully the upcoming remodel will bring the place to feel modern once more.

Andrey V

Great place. Great museum for all ages.

E Wynkoop

On a recent trip to Texas, we did a day trip to Roswell to explore around and take in the phenomenon of UFO's and the crash. This was an obvious stop to see what it was all about and I would say that I wasn't totally disappointed. The price for admission is very very reasonable only being $5 and there is a lot of free parking all around the area with a very short walk. The lady at the front desk was very nice and polite and got us admitted pretty quick. To call this a museum and research center I kind of think is not the best description for it as it is really just a giant room with displays along the perimeter. Its more of a Roswell UFO gallery which a lot of good information regarding the event and the phenomenon. There are a lot of news clippings and documents from the crash that lets you see the history unfold from the start. As you move along the gallery it moves away from the crash and into the UFO sightings across the world with a lot of interesting models, artifacts, and photographs from around the globe. There are a few famous displays of aliens from movies and TV and a large display in the middle of a UFO and alien greys that come alive and give a short "show" every 45 minutes or so. At the end of the walk through the gallery you come to a gift shop full of all the little knickknacks that you would expect to find from toys, posters, shirts, food, and even some books, namely autographed copies of Fire in the Sky which is one of the more famous accounts of an abduction. I ended up getting some stickers and poster reprints of the original newspaper articles of the crash which to me are the famous articles from Roswell. Overall for the price is incredibly reasonable for what you get and the information on display is nice for a UFO fan. The gift shop was pretty neat as well with a lot of little things for the kids or as souvenirs. If you are on the UFO tour I would say this is certainly a place to stop in for the start and get the hype going.

Lacey Gordon

I was very pleased at the prices and have to say that the museum was a lot of fun. Our 3 year old daughter had a great time and was really excited walking around it while she looked at the aliens. They even gave her a pack of some great items that she is treasuring that include a little alien toy, crayons, coloring book, and a few other fun items. She felt important and loved that feeling. Very neat gift shop and a library to get lost in. I'd say go and check it out.

Andrew Carpenter

Typical tourist attraction but some interesting pieces in there. If you're going to Roswell for the aliens then it's worth a visit

Dennis Childers

Nice informative and cheap. The drive there from Carlsbad caverns made the trip worth while. Beautiful country ,New Mexico was my wife’s favorite state that we visited.

Adam Wills

Mildly interesting at most. I’m not a fast reader, so reading walls of text were overwhelming. Few interactive exhibits. Easy to lose interest. What most of what you read here is what’s already said in the YouTube Documentary on the Roswell incident for free. As an adult I say it was corny and looked thrown-together. As a child, I’d be bored out of my mind. Hope they make it to the 21 century one of these days, with hands-on exhibits and stuff for the whole family. Gift shop was a disappointment. Not much more than cheap trinkets of green aliens, and fake Area 51 ID badges. Insult to those who care anything about alien encounters. Would love to see reproduction printouts of newspapers of the Roswell incident. Or cool posters you could hang in your man cave.

Diana Judd

Some very interesting things here, but not quite what I expected. The majority of the museum was posted documents with limited explanations, many of them very disjointed and confusing. I went really wanting to enjoy it, but it was essentially just documents hanging on the wall- so a building that could have been a website. Definitely not a good place to bring kids; they will lose interest in about five minutes.

Jason Elder

How can you not visit this place and give it five stars! Make sure to check out the research room.

waaagh !

I was just told everything was either a weather balloon or swamp gas...

Justin Smith

Interesting with a grain of salt

Edward Ortiz

The museum really make us think that we are not alone and that someday will be making direct contact w more advanced civilizations to continue growing In all areas!

Omi S

Adorably Campy, yet educational! -Also Dog Friendly! The library is a little less busy that the rest of the museum, and it's jam-packed with really interesting books on the UFO phenomenon as well as other paranormal topics. Be sure to call ahead or check the website. The hours are supposed to be til 5pm, however, my first attempt to visit the location they were closed by 4:30pm.

kelly z

For $3.00 a person it is cute and serves its purpose. We enjoyed all the history and the effort. Small and quaint but gives all the information.

Juan Lewis II

Very fun, lots to read. Cool artwork

mary

In a word, cheesy. Would prefer I higher entrance fee and have perhaps film footage etc to view. Just an excessive amount of articles to read if you have 3 hours to blow.

Donnie Brooke - Pro Wrestler / UFO Hunter

I have often wondered what Maj. Jesse Marcell thought when he handled the crashed debris in Sheriff George Wilcox's office. And, what he thought when he went out to the Foster Ranch. The Sunspot Solar Observatory raid & the events of July 8, 1947 mirror each other. I wonder if anyone else has ever noticed that? The one unique thing about both events is, the local law (The Sherrif's Dept.) was kept out of the loop during the events investigation. New Mexico has had 3 UFO crashes that I am aware of. Can anyone reading this tell me the alledged other 2?

Camilla Coombs

If you like to read then you will love this place because all it really is is a bunch of articles. I don't think it is worth it. The only cool part about it was the gift shop.

yolanda gonzalez

Fun and inexpensive place to stop with the family. There are several alien shops within walking distance and parking is easy. We have been there twice on trips passing through and we always recommend it to people.

Keren shen

We stopped the on the way to Carlsbad caverns. It was a nice stop. A lot of information about UFOS and also a few exibits. Even the kids had fun with the main alien exibits that once in a while lights up and smoke is coming out. The gift shop was also nice. Entrance is on the cheap side( a few dollars). Parking is on the street. Was easy to find. There are many chairs to rest.

Mark Rowland

The Museum has spent much of Spring Updating the Roswell Incident Area to an Interactive Experience which was unveiled for UFO Festival - 2019. Very well done.

Isabella Short

My grandma and I went and the cost of admission for us both was $8 (one senior and one adult). There is a lot of reading to do, so if you’re just looking for hokey attractions for your kids and/or artifacts, prepared to actually take the time to read about the events in Roswell. If not, there’s nothing for you here. I definitely learned a lot about the supposed crash in 1947. They have copies of actual documents during the time which are very interesting to read and not common knowledge. There are also small exhibits with limited information about crop circles, UFO sightings, alien implants, eyewitness accounts, photographs and more. Gift shop is a little pricey, I recommend going to the shops around the museum instead.

John Bradford

This museum contains loads of information on the July 1947 crash near Roswell, I have seen much of this information on several cable channels. However there was information there that I haven't ever seen.. worth the trip..

Mr Zaphraud

$5 a head to get in. Go here first when you get to Roswell, to get the backstory - they have all the news clippings on display and are happy to answer questions. I've been twice. Once alone, once with my girlfriend Angelique.

Tiffany Wilson

I was expecting more with this being a UFO museum. Especially, since this is supposed to be the crash site town of a very well known cover up of a UFO. It was very basic and too focused on what people call the tiny green men from outer space. Most of what they have is pictures and documents. They have a few small reference areas to Star Wars and early civilization God worship. I was very disappointed.

Miso Lee

It was fun but could be better.

N LK

Not bad! I'm a believer so I found this more interesting than I thought. Cute gift shop and I bought myself a few souvenirs. Though the lady that took my $5 at the front wasn't very friendly.

Dionelkis Soler

Not the gratest museum but another diferent experience...

Tonya Vaughan

Very interesting displays. Lots of info to digest. It was fun every 30 mins when the alien spaceship started spewing smoke and spinning.

jana hughey

The gift shop was decent. The museum is neat if you like the possibility of aliens. It is a good place to kill a little time .

John Cawood

Pretty awesome. Great place to go and see pictures of our distant relatives.

Shelly Embody

Fun facts place. Lots of reading but fun. A lot of neat shops in the area in walking distance.

Shannon Franks

I traveled to Roswell to get the alien experience. Much of it is fading away but the museum seems to be going strong. It is a very affordable stop and fun to wander through. The exhibits are comprised mainly of articles to read. It would be helpful if they were spaced out a little more and possibly have larger fonts. The gift shop had great souvenirs that were affordable. I don't think young kiddos would have the attention span to spend the day here. Overall a good experience.

Mac & Bravo

This place is as close as it gets to an authentic alien research center. They take it very seriously and are very thorough with the exhibits. I wouldn't recommend booking a flight to Roswell just to see it, but even if you're driving through and can only spare 20 minutes in town I highly suggest you go! I LOVE that it's a pet friendly environment!

Jessica Joyce

Was a good spot to waste time. Was a lot to read and look at. Great price to get in. Gift store prices for anything was Outrageous!

Edward Hobbs

It was fun and interesting

Shannon Way

First off it’s 5$ for entry, and you support a great community museum, it is small but the exhibits are nice and informative and there are a lot of real photos and original art. You can tell it was put together with a lot of love! Definitely worth the 5$ and you can come and go all day! Be sure to check out the gift shop as well there are cute cheesy gift shop items and you support the museum.

Steve Stessman

Kinda cool- worth a detour for sure

Jonn Anspach

Definitely a cool place to check out, the first lag is all dedicated to the Roswell crash and the rest is stuff from all around the world. Admission is fair price, I went there twice and the 2nd time they let me in for free. Would go back for a third.

Shane Young

Ehh. Its ok. Definitely want to see it.

Michele Kane

This museum is such a fun stop for anyone who enjoys the idea of UFOs and extraterrestrial life. There are newspaper clippings and some original recordings from "the crash". When visiting Roswell there wasn't as many alien themed attractions as I had hoped there would be but this stop made going to Roswell worth it.

Steve Vickers

Cool spot to stop for a little bit. Cheap to get in.

Chris Ortiz

Very interesting place...?

Brian Kirkpatrick

I'm not sure if it can get any more archaic than this, but price was right and they are clearly the authority on the "incident". Interesting and eclectic series of exhibits. Something fun to do to say you have been here and lived the experience. Stop by if you have the time and want to kill an hour or so.

Grant Newman

This is pretty amazing looking museum with lots of cool artifacts and evidence about what happened.

Chad Dillon

Great admission price. Interesting history of the alleged UFO landing. Made for a good quick stop.

NOT YOU

Smaller and less interesting then you would think.worth the price.

Joshua Clancy

I liked it. Alot of interesting thing about the ufo crash and other sighting. Very reasonable priced also. Definitely a must see.

If you have to be in Roswell you have to see this Museum. But, unless you are some kind of a bizarre UFO fanatic, do not under any circumstances go out of your way to come to Roswell or to see this Museum. It would be easier for you to surf the Internet and read the same information they have taped on the walls. The museum is boring for children because it's an 80% reading and it's silly for any rational adult. So the museum really doesn't appeal to anyone.

Caleb Persia

Really unique place to visit. Some laughable things, but others that really get your mind spinning. Worth the trip.

I'm an alien fanatic and had always wanted to check this town out and also this museum. We finally decided to visit and we almost didn't make it in. Wee arrived 40 minutes before they closed down for the day and so we knew we had to hurry. We walked on in and the older lady working the front was very friendly. We signed in, and paid our ticket fee. (We paid $8) I grabbed a pamphlet and off we were. There is a ton of reading. A lot of it are old articles and newspapers and written statements about the UFO encounters. Since we did arrive late the movie portion of the tour was no longer playing. The middle of the big room has a big saucer and aliens standing upfront. Every once in a while it would make sounds and fog would come out of it. There are plenty of picture props around that make for some cool pictures. They also had chairs set up in the big room which I wasn't sure what they were for. We did the entire thing in 30 minutes and we then proceeded to the gift shop. The gift shop had magnets, shirts, mugs, shot glasses, a few pet souvenirs, and some cute home decor. I went for a small magnet for $3. The gift shop lady wasn't as nice as the front desk lady was.. Anyways wouldn't consider this to be "fun" but I mean it's something worth checking out if your into alien stuff.. Beep bop beep bop

A must see if you happen to pass by the Roswell. A lot old visitors come in big tour buses

Staff is friendly. Not expensive. Movie stopped showing 2 hrs before closing. Not impressed by the displays...newspapers attached to wall. Kids like the short animated "ship landing" & "aliens" moving there heads. Everything mentioned in articles has been on TV many times. If in the area and bored consider it. Just don't expect much.

Pullen on the Road

Having a discount for First Responders was awesome! Staff was friendly, and we enjoyed learning about the Roswell Incident. Fun place to spend a couple bucks and walk around for an hour or so

We traveled to Roswell from Carlsbad to see this museum and take a tour on our trip from Texas. It was a good little museum that provided a lot of good info about the Roswell crash along with other alien info. It has a lot of reading articles on the wall and some neat little exhibits for the kids to look at. The gift shop had the best quality tees and souviners from all the shops we visited. It seemed to be in an old theatre to give you an idea on the size. We stayed alittle over an hour.

Barbara Small

One thing you can say about Roswell is that they embrace their controversial history! This museum is a prime example, although not overly 'kitchy' like so many other sights around the town. We thought the exhibit was very well presented, and encouraged patrons to draw their own conclusions about the famous Roswell "event". They have a number of interactive displays, and there are lots of pictures and copies of official documents and reports. They even had a section of fake pictures as well as drawings by children. The animated spaceship and ETs was another lighthearted display, and I'm sure children would love it! Our biggest disappoointed was the lack of any of recently (within the last 3 years) de-classified information. Perhaps that is in the works. Would recommend if you have time, as it's informative and thought-provoking in many ways.

This attraction in Roswell,NM is worth the visit. The price is right and the location is ideal. The museum will take time reading the articles and displays. I wished it was more digitally interactive. This is definitely and adult attraction. I was pleasantly surprised they allowed dogs free of charge!! Staff was very helpful. Highly recommended!

This museum is interesting and kind of weird. It's something to do if you are passing through but not worth a long trip if you are not already passing through. There are a lot of exhibits, information and conspiracies to check out. Entrance is cheap. Staff were friendly. Plenty of parking.

Vacation Sensei

Ok guys. Had to stop and see what this was about. And it was definitely interesting about what happens in the 40s. True or not? Still don't know. But had to make a stop. Try it. Be well vacationsensei

It’s a fun place to visit if you’re already in the area. They allow dogs, although mine was suspicious of—and didn’t like—the big, smoking, noisy alien display in the center. :)

Manlio Tribioli

Nice small but interesting and well done museum. It can be visited in half an hour for occasional visitors but it has interesting documents & material and enthusiasts can spend hours inside. Very nice for childrens too. 5$ well spent.

Vito Architetto

Nearby the museum, I spotted a Bigfoot carrying a jackalope! Got me a “threefer” for the price of one!!!

For the price of admission, this museum is awesome, and I am glad we went slightly out of our way on the road trip heading towards the White Sands Nat. Monument to stop in Roswell. The town itself doesn't disappoint with the alien theme up Main Street, and this museum was a good amount of fun, even for the rational skeptics such as myself. I liked the information panels on the various encounters (classification of close encounters of the first, second, and third kind, for example), the documents from the "researchers" in this field, and a scattering of hokey alien statue displays. I was expecting a documentary style summary of the Roswell Incident in the theater room, but instead we found the Hollywood movie covering the incident. Still, it got me to watch a bit, because it was a good part showing the military taking away a doctor for questioning. I thought the gift shop had a good mix of hokey and cheaper items, with some actually somewhat better quality items than the usual gift shop. I just about bought a nice baseball cap with a cool alien logo on the front. All in all, this museum is good for some fun and laughs along the way. I think the owners and those that have set up the displays seem to have a good eye for appealing to the alien encounters type crowd without being too serious about it.

Greg Lucas

You may not see a real space alien when you visit here but you will still have a great time. The place is not very big so it is a good place to get out and stretch if your on a road trip. The gift shop has some neat stuff to collect.

Angelica Varela

We enjoyed our experience here! It took us about an hour to get through the whole museum. It was clean and there's plenty of chairs to sit on in case you need a break. There is alot of reading but my four year old was still able to enjoy it.

Szymon Kłossowski

Fun place to see, not overpriced but nothing special. Few fun facts, few aliens to take a picture with. Spent there 20 mins and moved on.

The UFO Museum is an interesting place to stop by if you're passing through the area.

Andrea Reed

Excellent gift shop! All the statues on the museum seem to be very real! It was really a nice day here, totally worth it and very cheap!

Miguel Gonzalez

Pretty cool place with very interesting first hand accounts and information!

David Waltmon

I had mixed feelings about this review. On one hand I enjoyed the visit with my family. My child was mildly entertained and there were a few things I hadn’t already seen on the internet. On the other hand, I know many UFO enthusiasts that would have been let down by the underwhelming size and content of the museum. Nothing seemed authentic, and most of the exhibit could have been put together by high schoolers for a school project. If you are looking to stop for fuel, stretch your legs, and kill about 30min do it, it is very inexpensive, and slightly entertaining for kids who don’t mind reading. There is a lot of reading... a lot of reading. Don’t expect anything new, but it is a good culmination of what the modern UFO era has brought us.

Rommel Maralit

Reasonable price. Interesting exhibits.

James Rezac

Absolutely adorable, and I'm a skeptic! Good place to take the family for a fun hour or two. In detail descriptions and replicas. Really neat map of pins and photo booth. Guy at the reg was so polite! Gift shop is also well organized.

Javier Colunga

Must see if you visit Roswell. They have all the history you need regarding the 1947 Roswell UFO incident.

M. Galloway

Fun to explore. Had lots of "out there" reports as well as military looking documents, newspaper clippings, and exhibits. There were paintings, sculptures, and a moving exhibit with smoke and "aliens." It was a great way to pass the time on a trip to visit friends. It has some things that are real, and then some that are not. But all in all, worth the time and money while in Roswell.

THIS AIN'T IT CHEIF
