Great spot to learn, reflect and honor our Vietnam veterans. A great tribute to all the brave soldiers that served. It is so close to the PNC Arts Center, but I am willing to bet of the 100,000's who have attended concerts through the years very few have taken time to stop here.

Hidden Gem of museums in NJ. Worth a visit. Great Education.

This Vietnam Memorial is great because the wall has the names of the NJ Veterans that gave their lives. Wonderful place for peaceful rest. But the information center has changed from the beginning and they added other things, that to me are not proper. They need to consider that some things are wrong to see to the Vietnam Veterans that come here.

Charles Webster

A place of dignity for our Vietnam Veterans who were not afforded the Welcome Home they deserved. Stop by and learn.

The memorial honors all of NJ armed forces serving in the Vietnam War, has a beautiful wall memorial with the names of all service members who were killed in the war. The small museum contains memorabilia, dioramas and other displays helping explain the history of US involvement its actions in the war.

This is a small but nice memorial dedicated to the folks from New Jersey that died during the war. It's actually in the same parking areas of PNC Arts Center. It's on the right hand side if you are looking at the venue. There's a nice wall that is outside the museum where every name is inscribed on the day they passed. It's a little sobering to see this wall and realize it's just New Jersey. There's also a retired Huey Helicopter right by the front entrance. The museum itself is pretty small but if you stop and read most of the stations you can spend a few hours there. It's basically a circle where it takes you through each stage of the war. Has pictures and some video as well. There are also real letters from service members to their families. There was a theatre but I didn't see anything going on there while I was there. There's also a small souvenir shop and vending machines for sodas and snacks.

Great Memorial. Wonderful Statues and very moving. Also has the memorial to the Dogs just outside. Well worth the visit.

The memorial itself is a beautiful tribute, but my three stars are because of the changes over time at the museum, now aptly called an "Era Educational Center." My family has been visiting the site since before they broke ground. When the museum first opened, it depicted what veterans like my father and the countries involved experienced via original photographs, letters, medals, murals, videos, etc. Now the center's focus is the pop culture of the era and is very watered down.

This monument at least honors the veterans in a beautiful way, there rests a memorial that shows or illustrates our deepest regrets and appreciation for those who stood in the peril and horror of a conflict that was never won...They did it willingly for their country and deserve the recognition this place offers.

Afoakwah George

The Veteran tour guides are great and really helpful. They also share some if bvb their personal experiences so that's an added bonus.

Beautiful, moving tribute to those who served in Vietnam.

This memorial to the residents of NJ who were lost in Vietnam is impactful. There is easy access from the Garden State Parkway north or south via exit 116 for the PNC Arts Center or locals can use the access road from Holmdel township (just follow the commuter parking access). There is a small, indoor museum with some very insightful exhibits about how the war was viewed by those fighting it as well as those back home. This building has rest rooms and a small gift shop too. Next to the museum is the actual memorial. You'll walk down a wide path to a tunnel that brings you up into the center of the memorial. The memorial itself is round, with a large open air design. I can't do it justice, but I will say the design is simple, yet impressive. The museum and memorial are close together and won't be an issue for anyone who walks easily. Both the museum and memorial are also wheelchair friendly with wide ramps and easy to navigate indoor exhibits. The memorial has some benches as well. For nicer weather, there are about a dozen picnic tables near the museum building. There is plenty of free parking for most days and an overflow lot for special events.

They have some a wonderful job with this NJ Veterans Memorial. We take a class trip twice a year to the memorial and we learn something new every time. The veterans volunteer their time to give tours and share their experiences. Just a must for teachers looking for a field trip.
