A must see on your next shore visit! You could spend a day learning about the shipwrecks, storms and interesting facts about the area and the impact of the sea. It also has an extensive research library. Two floors of well laid out exhibits will keep you busy for a while!

By far the best museum in the area. Free admission (they ask for donations at the door with a tip jar), and they even offer copies of the informative DVDs they play around the museum for free. Great place to bring kids, 2 stories of exhibits and plenty of things to see and read. The caretakers are also very nice and encourage guests to check things out.

I loved this place. Really cool collection of nautical history. I suggest if you have any interest in history you should go. The staff is very nice and very informative. Also it is free to get in but please donate so this wonderful place can stay open.

It is just really fun. The museum is neat and organized and very informative about maritime history in NJ. There are things for kids and lots to look at. If you can appreciate anything about nautical you will have a great time here.

You could spend a whole day there and not see every moralist thing they have for example their exhibits, store and all their free DVDs about the East Coast. Love it love it love it. The owners are educated and extremely helpful. I believe one of the owners was the former mayor of Beach Haven no. You will not be sorry go to take a trip there to sit and the surrounding ocean community.

Great shipwreck museum for history buffs, researchers, something for all ages and in particular divers. Very clean, organized and festooned with exceptional displays. One of the best shipwreck artifact displays by real wreck divers on the coast.

Really cool little museum. My wife and I brought our kids for something to do on a hot day, and were really impressed. Great variety of things to look at and an impressive amount of history. They even had a program for kids that included a scavenger hunt around the museum, which really forced us to take a careful look around. Very friendly and helpful staff.

As one of the guides said, everytime you'll come here you'll always learn something new. Also they have a vast variety of out of print books, archival documents, DVD documentaries all free to access. A must go to when on LBI.

What a fantastic museum!!! It is free -but you're you to want to give a donation, it is that good. You can touch almost everything, they have snacks for kids, it you have any questions they are readily answered by the owner. This all started out as a private collection, and it is all curated with love and great care. My 2.5 year old loved it - though this is not a "kids museum" there was plenty to entertain a toddler for an hour on a rainy day. They are open basically all the time which is great. You can also inquire for private events and meet ups. And they have a lot of rate books for research, if that is something you are interested in!
