This Museum is included in the category of Souvenir store.
It has everything you'd want and expect to find in a Country Store plus more.
Unique items, old fashion candy, hiking maps, books about historical New Hampshire, and of course touristy items too. Plan to spend some time to really look around.
I love this place, but the employees aren't always great.
A very nice old country store
We stop here everytime we are in the area! For us the aged cheddar right off the block and the old wooden barrels full of giant pickles are the main attraction... not to mention the old time candy selection will satisfy the kids as well as the kids at heart. Local Jams and pickled vegetables compliment the local cheese selection... Nicknacks... candles... and almost anything you could shake a stick at. I feel young everytime I come here!
Amazing variety of eclectic items for sale and on display.
Wide variety of candy and an interesting selection of goods
This place is so cool, what a variety of items! Got great gifts to bring back from our vacation.
A little bit of everything and then some
Great place to shop when your in Meredith New Hampshire
A great store. Can find a lot stuff from yesteryear. Penny Candy, clothing and cast iron cookware plus a whole lot more. Every friendly employees. However, be ready to put up with a lot of outerstaters.
They have a huge selection of stuff. Especially for souvenirs. They always seem to have something marked down.
An interesting place to check out. Has an old timey feel with penny candy and barrels of pickles.
Omg, They have everything you could ever imagine there. Even a little candy shop, They have amazing pickles and a variety of custom goods. Definitely worth going back for.
Lots of good candy! Fudge! Pickles! Definetely a must stop here.. you will find that unique "Gift" your looking for. Store employees are nice, friendly and they add the old fashion way, on paper and use their brain.. not on a calculator.. ya good place to shop.. thank you..
Lots of fun things to buy. Old fashioned country store.
There is so much stuff here. It's crazy. Toys, clothes, kitchen tools, soap, and knickknacks. The cheddar cheese next to the register is worth going on its own.
You can always find some very unique items here. We love coming here. You can find unique food items, a gift for that special someone, toys, kitchen needs and so much more.
They sell Bar Harbor soldier beans as just one of their specialties. So delicious. This is the best country store. The rooms go on forever, ha ha.

Love this store. They, always, have the good stuff. Makes me feel like I'm back in the 1800s.
Love this place!! One of the first stops when we are in the area
It was what I expected in an old country store. Prices for good.
Very nice store, lots to see, new and old !!
This was a lot of fun if you like unusual items and like perusing. So much to look at!! Very fair pricing!
Really cool store. Lots of unique and special products. Great place for gifts for the home
My boyfriend has loved this place since he started vacationing here as a kid. It is a great stop with so many cool finds! They have local drinks and a big wheel of cheese you can buy a chunk of. There is stuff everywhere but if you look through it all there is something for everyone. Great place, lots of older treasures and surprises. Plus upstairs is the Museum. Lots of parking.
Amazing store and service! I recommend visiting The Old Country Store, if your in the area! They have everything you could possibly imagine!!! Laurie is hands down the Best!!
Nice country store with a few surprises. They offer a large selection of wraught iron items, exactly the selection I needed for a great dish towel holder. Never found the museum until I had visited a couple dozen times.
Awesome as always. Love roaming around and looking at everything. We never leave without pickles and cheese!
Wow! Unbelievable store! Great prices, unique items!
Love this place since I was a kid.
Always can find a gift for Anyone here.
Wonderful store with so many unique things.
Love this place, used to come here throughout my childhood with my great grandmother. Very nostalgic to visit now that 20 something years has passed.. Still has that old time feel
Always a good place to bring visitors. Tons of stuff to look at. A lot of unique gifts.
This quaint storefront has plenty of nicknacks and tchotchkes for those who live in NH or are visiting. It's a true gem.
Very interesting. Lots of local history and artifacts. Plus a chance to go through and old time general store.
Historical and so are their eclectic collection of gifts, trinkets, t-shirts, unique and traditional foodie items, and pretty much anything you can imagine. Great Store. Finally made it back after many many years ago as a child. So fun
This is a most stop for anyone in the area. It has plenty of stuff to appeal to everyone. You can get candy from the counter, jumbo pickles out of a barrel and old fashion soda, like Birch Beer and Sasprilla. Make your way through the many rooms filled with clothes, novelty items, wind chimes and even Lodge Cast iron. Great place for a shopping spree.
Amazing walk back in time. Huge selection!
Nice old general store. Normal variety with a small museum upstairs. Some cool unique items throughout the store.
Crowded, small areas between tons of knick knacks and no real bathroom. Their homemade root beer was delicious!
Amazing country store and museum! They have everything you could need. Probably would take couple trips to see everything has to offer!
What a nice step back in time! Great finds and goodies so quaintly set up in the store. A must stop if in Moultonborough, NH area.
Super cute knick knacks and really great customer service. You really have no idea about how big it really is until you're inside and it just keeps going. It's a really fun time and has a great selection of cool and unique gifts.
We visit this store several times a season because they have some really unique items. I like to stop here for gifts, nick nacks and household goods. The only problem is they stopped carrying the dollar paring knives and my peamit brittle. We really loved those knives nut the brittle is no problem as I didn't need it anyway.
Nostalgic, something for everyone but it come a tourist price.
A very unique country store. You have to make this a visit
Adorable country store. They have an awesome candy counter. Penny candy, nostalgic candy, and modern favorites. We also love the dill pickles in the barrel.
Love this place. They have everything you need. Great selection of local goods and souvenirs.
Nic-naks galore
Really interesting piece of history! Thank you for preserving it so well. Lots of memories!!
Great Memories all the way back to my childhood! I have enjoyed bringing my children and grandchildren here!
Wow! So much to see. Great variety..kids loved it.
So much to explore...going back soon to get started with my Christmas shopping!
Everything's the same and just as awesome as I remember from when I was a kid 25 years ago!
Step back in time! Carries just about everything you could think of!
I don't know where to start. This place is full of wonders. Maze of rooms filled with hand crafted goods, clothes, decorations, hardware, local food products, maple sirup, candies, sweets. I can't even name it all. Ond top of everything is little museum of everyday items and tools.
Cute little place. They had a variety of jams including hot pepper and Jalapeño. A few different hot sauces and I really liked their chocolate peanut butter fudge. Aside from foodstuffs if you want to get a keepsake from the area this is the place to go!
Unbelievable selection and variety of items.
A little bit of everything all in one place. I'll be back because I couldn't see it all!
This is a GREAT country store. Every summer for the last 30 years my family vacation in this area. We always stopped here. They had everything. From penny candy, local crafts, anything you want. You will love it.
Counrty Store partially says it; it's that (with all the local blueberry jams and preserves, among others) and more. Lots of gifts to pick from. Area clothing, hats, tee shirts. Novelties and trinkets. A must stop for those touring that area of New Hampshire. Free parking. Crowded isles, so it's not set up for wheelchairs. It does have that old store feel.
cool place. Lot's of fun items. Perfect for the shoppers!
A must stop every time we're in Moultonboro. I've been going in there for 40 years.
Fantastic little country store that allows you to step back in time. I remember my father taking me to fill bags with Penny candy. I now take my own daughter and the place still looks the same. Great old wooden fridges holding their fine cheese and other refrigerated items. A must stop if you're in the area
Just about any gadget u can think of is sold here.
Gteat place to spend an entire day! Lots of interesting things to look at or purchase.
Big tourist attraction. Nostalgic, they have a penny candy counter and a barrel full of giant dill pickles. Lots of knick-knacks and New Hampshire souvenirs. Very cool place to browse with nothing particular in mind to buy.
I've been coming here since I was a kid, and make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in the area. The nostalgia of the penny candies is obviously what first draws you in, but once you get past that, this place has something for everyone. Around every corner is some new area to explore, be it cookware, cast iron, NH souvenirs, clothes, toys, garden ornaments, knick knacks, food and drinks, signage... The list goes on. Another hidden gem is the museum upstairs, which is always worth a visit to learn about the history of the area. All in all, this a must visit if you are in the area. I know it is for me.
Wood cabin feel. Wood smell. Hard woid floors great staff with incredible manors. Love love love everything they have. They have so much stuff from candy in a bag to toys and souvenirs and gifts..tshirts and nick-nacks galore!! Awesome!!
Tasty cheese and fun things to browse...
Great tourist attraction! Had lots of fun at the museum and bought some candy!
Lots to see in a great rustic setting. Great prices, wide variety of great items, and friendly, helpful staff. I live here and still love to go there when I can. The classical small town country store. If you're in the area you'll be glad you stopped in. There are very few places like this left and this is a great example.
Great BBQ fast!! Delicious smoked meats, and sides.
Lots of cool things. Its is very cool that they use antique cash registers
So many interesting, fun, and locally produced items. Definitely worth a stop.
Lovely Store, I spent an hour just browsing!
Hands down my favorite store in NH, an absolute must visit
Very nice quaint store. Much bigger than it seems at first. Incredible variety of items. Worth the trip.
What a fun place. Beautiful old building housing many wonderful trinkets to buy or just browse. Nice little museum upstairs.
It is fun to step back to a day where the country store was to the only place to get products from coal shovels to cheddar cheese, plows to candy. They may have modern vacation trinkets but you can also get a replacement chimney for your oil lamp & hand wrought nails they don't even have an operationl cash register! It's a great place to visit on a rainy summer day or a cold winter afternoon, oh did I forget to be mention museum upstairs? Make sure you check it out next time you find yourself in the area
Lived all my life in NH and today is the 1st day I've ever gone to this store. This place has a little of everything... Very unique items! Dill pickles from the big wooden barrel were awesome!
The store is filled with all kinds of stuff almost anything you can imagine... The woman running it not so nice needs to work on customer service skills...
Great old shop!!.you can find alot of good stuff related New Hampshire..
Love this place. Lots of unique and interesting gifts
Great place to get gifts and they have many unique items
Been coming here since I was a toddler and now I get to bring my toddlers!
You can't leave the lakes region without visiting this store first! Something for everyone from wines to find cheese, penny candies, clothes, prank items and NH memorobilia!
On our travels we hunt for "country stores." This one had room after room of a well stocked variety of items: candy counter, cheese, signs, candles, clothes, toys. Also, antique cabinets where items are displayed and a wooden Indian. Worth an extended browse.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff
Interesting and popular place to visit. Plan on taking a few minutes to cover all the isles; it was very crowded. They had a large assortment of cast iron cook ware, plus hooks and bells. They have a large assortment of candies including several kinds of black licorice. Bought some sharp cheddar cheese which was good with crackers. They also had a museum of old wooden equipment from the past upstairs. You can't see everything in one visit. Great place to pick up gifts.
Such a neat old Country store.
Very cute. On the expensive side. Always something new. A huge array of items, from pickles to porcelain. Dog treats to 5 cent candy.
Always a great time shopping here!
Today was our first time there and we found the store to be a wonderful place. We'll be making more trips up there this fall
Great pickles!!! Fun store to visit.
Big selection, friendly people, good prices
I just love there cheese and different things they have from candy to clothes gadgets metal towel holder hooks drop in and see for yourself
An absolute must-visit every time I'm in New Hampshire! It's a large, classic country store where you can find everything from NH swag to aged local cheddar cheese and penny candy. Don't forget to check out the antique cash registers, and hit up the pickle barrel on the way out!
Not wheelchair accessible. Different levels close isles. Museum upstairs. Lots of different things to buy there. Fun. Candy isle with candy old and new.
DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE! Looks small from outside but you simply cannot believe how huge it is. I literally can't think of anything they don't have! Great for finding hard-to-find items, too. It's really fun. Something for everyone!
Tourist Mecca! If it rains and you are in the lakes region this place is a must. Thousands of items from candy to door bells. A must see.
I remember this store back in the late 60s when my parents and I vactioned at Shannon Lodge owned by Edward Default. I distinctly remember the player piano playing songs from years past. Also remember the Church across the way having their Bean supper on Saturday night. Back then I was in my late teens and now I am 70. Nice memories and hope to revisit there some time in the future.
I could get lost for days
I've coming here since I was a child and it hasn't changed.
We're on vacation, and our hosts made this our first stop. Lots of fun stuff and was told the place is always very busy and popular.
This is a MUST stop in Moultonborough, NH. Has been there forever. From the antique cash register to the penny candy the place is like walking back in time. They have some useful yet useless stuff that makes compulsively buy. I DARE YOU TO GO IN THERE AND NOT BUY ANYTHING!
Great place to find some "one of a kind" items.
A great place to check out
Loaded with nostalgic items from years past.
A great variety of things from kitchen gadgets to a wheel of cheese and 2 barrels of pickles sour or dill you pick snd penny candy, candles ,sodas, gifts and souvenirs
Souvenir store like it says. Something for everyone. Including a large selection of candies. Some local stuff, most from China Some nostalgic items. Lots of kitchen utensils and other. Not an old fashioned country store like it used to be - but that is showing my age. Very interesting museum upstairs of local items from long ago.
Great fun for entire family! Great selection of unique items for the kitchen and around the home. Wonderful selection of candy and other sweet treats. Interesting Museum on the second floor. All sorts of gifts that you won't find everyday. Something for everybody. Great place to visit especially on a rainy day when it's no fun being out on the lake. Your kids will get a kick out of it!
Always an annual stop. Love the Vermont cheddar, that they sell by the pound, at the front!
Amazing general store with too much to even describe! Memorabilia, souvenirs, candy, local cheese, country signs, just to name a few. Really friendly owners and employees. A must do stop when visiting the northern part of Lake Winnipesaukee.
My favorite country store!!
A definite must go. Anything you want or need they probably have. Great place if you are doing a man cave or a garage. The homemade soda pop is good. I suggest that you grab some fudge on your way out. Very well worth the trip.
Authentic, historic, and overflowing with specialty trinkets and foods. Interesting and free museum upstairs with old tools and artifacts.
Historical old country store with a myriad of "stuff" for sale. Fun place to stop and shop.
Always love and find unique gifts in here
Incredible amount of unnneccary stuff.
Great old fashioned country store. Lots of unique items from clothes, kitchenware, signs, etc to "penny" candy... many old throwbacks we used to get as kids in the 70s! The cheddar cheese is excellent, topped with their homemade pepper jelly.
Step back in time. Enjoy penny candy. A museum. And all sorts of treasures
This is a charming country store and museum. It was very interesting going through the museum and viewing the old tools and such. The store had many handy items for home. There were candies and maple syrup, lotions soaps candles, and amazingly good aged cheddar cheese to name a few things.
Awesome place to go if you seek old fashioned goods, brings you back in time. !
Always unique finds.
Very cool
Great place to walk around in, find wonderful NH & Lake Winnipesaukee items and most of all the candy!!
Been going for years never miss a chance when we are in town
It was great! It was as if it was never ending.
OMG, more of anything local or New Hampshire Under one roof than you can imagine.

I cannot say enough about this place it has absolutely everything you could possibly imagine this so many things to look at if you just want to get a piece of fudge and some Old Time Candy they also have a museum upstairs that's really interesting I love this place it's my favorite store
Really fun place with a big selection of pretty much anything you can think of.
This store is MASSIVE and sells any kind of thing imaginable you'd think to find at a touristy country store. The pickles were good but kinda weird. Most of the stuff was local and I love that. There was a museum upstairs but I didn't go.
First time here... Everything you can imagine in here and then some! Plan on spending a lot of time to look around. It's huge.
Great novelties, gifts, kitchen tools, kids toys, candy, cheese and more!!! Just know- there's no public restroom except for an outhouse, so either use the outhouse or plan ahead!
You need it..... They just may have it
Fun store,moderately priced
I love visiting this place so many unique things
What a treasure trove this place turned out to be. From the classic candy, the kitchen gadget room, the map room, the pickles and pickled veggies, the sauces and spices, the tshirts, if you didn't find something wonderful here, you weren't trying hard enough. It is a place you found explore for hours. We very much enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.
Great souvenir shop, even had boot jacks, which are hard to find. Kitchen gadgets, cast iron, toys, tees and much more.
I love everything they sell!
Full of interesting finds and old time products.
Love the Moultonboro Store. Lucky to live locally so it's my go to for everything!
Still the same as when you visited as a kid - yet . . . somehow better. This is not some tourist gift shop! This is an old County Store with real personality and grit. They have an amazing, helpful staff!
This is the top place for goodies and souvenirs during a trip to New Hampshire. Basically anything you can think of is here. I would definitely recommend.
