REVIEWS OF The Frost Place IN New Hampshire

The view from the front porch is AMAZING. It's no wonder so many of Mr. Frost's poems were about this area. The poets trail is worth the short hike to be immersed in the woodland setting. We were able to view much of the house. The only areas that are off limits is where the "poet in residence" presides. I love the idea of a poet still utilizing this homestead.

Small site closed on Tuesday when we visited.

A great place to learn and be reminded to the poetry of Robert Frost. Go to the barn for admission to the house. Otherwise, the poetry trail and porch overlooking the mountains is always open.

stunning view

It was closed when we got there. No posting for the hours. We walked the poetry trail. That was nice. It would be nice if they posted their hours.

Really interesting. Would have liked to see the whole house. Much was closed to the public

Frost Place is definitely worth seeing first hand. We sat on the porch and relaxed to the stunning view. There is a barn in back were you can watch a short film and purchase memorabilia like books and more.

My husband and I love exploring and experiencing historical sites and were very excited to visit Robert Frost's home. The property itself is well-kept and the view from his porch is beautiful. There is a 20 minute video on Robert Frost available for viewing in the barn. We did wish there were more items/memorabilia about or belonging to Robert Frost but we do realize they may not have had access to more items. They have a nature trail that one can walk behind the property with his poems posted along the way. From what we understood, it is still a work in progress though as it felt more like a walk through masses of weeds. We like the idea but I imagine it takes time to cultivate a beautiful botanical walk. We enjoyed being able to say we had been there but it only took about 30-45 of our time in all.

A cute stop along a drive if you have 45 minutes to spare!

Lovely woodland poetry walk

Jessica Sanderson

A pilgrimage it took me far too long to complete.

Ashley Evins

Beautiful, short hiking trail featuring poems by Robert Frost and benches sprinkled throughout. It was a bit muddy when I wemt so take care to wear appropriate footwear. The trail is easy and most people won't have a problem with hiking it.

Debra Hale

Well kept property, 20 minute video, half mile poetry trail. Lovely place to visit on a summer afternoon.

North Carolina friends were blessed to visit this inspiring North Country keepsake.

Much of the place was closed off when I went in so there was very little to see. There are very nice walking trails winding through the woods that are worth the trip themselves, and the view is quite nice.

Nice little place to stop while traveling

I didn't go in the house but the little museum outside was nice and the paths surrounding it were lovely. The views were beautiful.

This place is absolutely magical! When I lived in Dover, New Hampshire from 04/16 to 08/17, I must have frequented this place 3-4 times. The employees are very knowledgeable on Mr. Frost, and the poetry garden and his home are absolutely captivating. You won't catch a better view of the White Mountains anywhere. I can't wait to go back at some point! I fell asleep in one of the rocking chairs on his front porch for about an hour one time. Absolutely loved it.

Mary Kay Weidner

Beautiful views. Catch the film in the barn.
