Terrible customer relations the minute you walk in. Our guide was a rude dude and spoke down to us , acted like we were children. NEVER WILL RETURN.

So cool.. History and a beautiful house.

Fey Lee

Beautiful historical home. (I LOVE old architecture.) The tour guide, Sara, was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Colton Spaulding

Laurie Rich

Lovely historic place filled with interesting books, China and a documentary. The house and grounds are superbly kept.

Fred Becker

Friendly, funny, knowledgeable guide. Very reasonably priced, even for out-of-staters. A visit worth making if you are in the area.

Kara Eccleston

Faith Luce

Very experienced guides, a lovely stay at the homestead. The hours have changed after Labor Day, they are open 10-4 Saturday and Sunday with the last tour starting at 3. They are closed during the weekdays, and the homestead will close for season October 28th, unless they get snowed in first.

Please correct the hours to show open Friday - Tuesday as in Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday open!

David Day

A great tour from a well-informed tour guide. Even in the summer, there are few guests that get all the way to Hillsborough, so the tour was very individualized to our needs and questions! A little known President, judged by history to have made a lot of mistakes, Franklin Pierce comes across in the tour as a very likable guy (growing up in a tavern with a bunch of siblings!).

Jim Fritch

Very well restored & maintained historical site. The guided tour was EXCELLENT! Sarah was one of the best guides we have ever experienced in our numerous travels to many historic & cultural sites in the US & Europe.

The experienced guides are good, the displays are good, but the new guides... it would be better to just give the guests printed materials.

Very informative tour of the Franklins residence in the early 1800's. Some pieces belonged to him and the rest are typical of the time period.

Vicki Ward

Very historical. Loved the setting.
