Awesome place if you have an EBT card it's only a dollar a person
Very fun! We didn't even realize we had been there for as long as we had! Good price.
Had a great time at the children's museum's Pizzafest :) the staff were friendly and helpful and my son had a blast running around and eating all types of yummy pizzas :)
Fun for the whole family. Great out door spaces all around the area too.
Very interactive activities, wonderful for young kids.
Great place for whole family to enjoy
The museum is really made for younger kids. I would say it is perfect for kids 6 and younger. There’s 2 floors, but it is quite small. Most of all the exhibits are hands on, which is perfect for the kids. The parents might get a little bored though. There’s no on-site parking, so you’ll have to find parking on the streets. This might be a challenge at times.
The Children's Museum is great for hands on learning and is geared towards younger children. Mine, 8, enjoys the children's museum still as there are many different activities and always different crafts and events.
Nice children's museum that has a number of interactive displays. Great for ages 4 to 8. They do a cool maker fair in the summer and have special exhibits regularly. Exhibits offer the chance to get hands on with science and art.
Wonderful place for kids, everything hands on.
Wow, I was so impressed with this place. There is something for every aged child. It's colorful, safe, educational and even fun for the adults. The employees were very nice as well.
Great place for the kidos
My 4 year old loves it! They have a submarine, a make your own rocket station to test aerodynamics, a place to create music using computer chips, a play kitchen, a sand pit that uses IR sensorsto show the height, a magnetic station, a place where you can write on the wall with glow in the dark, a 3 and under place with a train set, and so much more! This is one of the best children's museums I've ever been to! I'd probably recommend for ages 2-10.
This is the most incredible place! Kids of all ages, myself included, have something to learn and enjoy!
Fun, educational, great parking, my 3.5 year old grandson and 11 year old granddaughter loved it!
Great place for kids under 12 but above 3
Its nice place for the kids.
Great place to bring children. Has public restrooms but, bring cash as there are only vending machines that only take cash.
Awesome place for kids!
So much fun for the kids! The mail being delivered around the museum is a great activity & so many things to practice/learn here. :)
Fun for the kids on a cold day
Was great. Every thing was kid friendly and even great for the parents, had so much fun.
A fun place for younger children. I think any kids over 7 or so may get bored easily
Amazing place for kids!! My son(who's 3 1/2)& I had so much fun here! I highly recommend this place for anyone with kids looking for a cool, fun learning center for kids of all ages!!♡♡♡ LOVED IT ♡♡♡
Great place for small children but older kids might not like it.
Great for toddlers and younger. I hate that they charge full price for adults but offer nothing for them to do. Adults should be 1/2 price and more exhibits for older children in the 4+ age range
So many great interactive exhibits, even for really young kids. We brought our 1 yr old and he loved it. There is a toddler zone upstairs that's just for kids 0-3 yrs old.
Sweet place for kids
Very expensive for almost nothing there. And they tried telling us we could not brong the stroller for a 2 month old baby. Also wanted to charge us for her
Very good. My son enjoyed it. Prices are affordable. I went there for a Bday party hosted by a friend of mine. Both street parking and limited parking lots are available. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. Would go there again.
Nice museum
It's just great for children. I was visiting my grandson and he loves going there all the time.
My child had a blast playing here.
Kids loved it!
Wow! Came in Friday before Memorial Day weekend and manager/director was so friendly. He asked how we were and said he appreciated our service (active duty military) - thank you for having this children's museum for the community.
Much better than we expected. Kids ages 3-8 at time of our visit. Great outdoor play area and very neat indoor exhibits. Kept all 3 entertained for hours!
This was perfect for my 3year old niece.
Love everything about this lovely institution! What a staple in our children's lives!
Gr8 place for the kids. Plenty of things to keep them entertained. Cute broom for kids to have a quick snack or quick lunch.
Located in the heart of downtown, the children's museum welcomes kids of all ages and abilities. The museum offers and encourages hands on play, including a train set, an interactive topographic sandbox, and many other exhibits. We have been bringing our children, 2 and 3, for years and they both love it. Metered parking on site, as well as a small playground and park. Walking distance to several great restaurants and shopping, including a toy store. We have the family membership and though we don't use all the perks (like adult nights), it's been a worthwhile investment.
Great place for children and events just for adults
Friendly staff. Decent size for a half day of fun and OK price.
awsome place my daughter loves it go once a month
my kids love this place
Amazing two story building with so much to do. Great playground outside, and they often have events too! I recommend getting a year pass.
Surprise gem in the heart of Dover. Kept a 7.5, 4.5 and 3 year old thoroughly entertained for 4.5 hours. It appears small but is packed with exhibits and endless things to do.
My toddler loved it. So much she yelled for ten minutes after we left.
Lots of family fun
A great experience. So creative and hands-on.
Such a cute little museum! My little boy just loves this place.
Kept my kids entertained but very expensive. At $10 per person for both kids over 1 and adults, it was a very costly afternoon for myself, my 3 kids, and their grandparents. The museum us clean and has a good amount of variety. It has a great mix of STEM type exhibits and basic play/imaginative areas. My kids are 5, 4, and 2 and we spent close to 3 hours here. And they would have stayed longer! Good place but definitely too expensive.
Kids loved it. Lots to do
What a fantastic place to bring your children. So many fascinating exhibits that are child friendly. I'd recommend it for a fun day of discovery anytime.
Good fun time and if you have a ebt card you get a huge discount
My daughter and I hav a blast every time we go. My only gripes are that its the same price for kids as adults, and I wish that there was one exibit that changed every so often. I think it would draw more people and offer more opportunity for children to learn about more. We have a membership and enjoy it everytime we go though.
Great place to go to especially on a rainy day so much to do there.
Cute place to visit, would recommend 10 and under.
Great fun for the grandkids.
I visited the Museum with a pair of adults with autism and we just had the best time ever! It was a quieter time, so there was availability in each exhibition to interact with. The staff here are incredibly welcoming and accommodating to people with special needs! I am definitely going to support birthday parties here for my friends' children!
The kids love it here. We do a yearly membership.
Community anchor, educational, fun, inclusive, and always engaging with the outside world and offering amazing activities, like Maker Fare, art openings, STEAM classes, and much much more. A truly fabulous place for kids and their adults.
Awesome museum with great exhibits. We went on a sunny May afternoon with a 1 and 4yr old. The museum was very quiet and we were told it can be very busy at times. We had no trouble finding parking right behind it, and after the museum the kids played at the playground adjacent to the museum/parking. The exhibits were perfect for my 4 yr old and there were several that were appropriate for my 1 yr old. I feel like a 3-7 yr old would have a blast here. The staff was helpful as well. It’s not a huge museum, essentially 1 floor with a smaller second. I could see the experience being different if the museum was packed, but we had an amazing time!
Great place for the kids. So much fun stuff to see and do!
Clean and safe. We love it!
THE Place to be with your kids a 90℉ day. Excellent exhibits, polite and helpful staff, just fun.
Our 2 year old son enjoyed it. There were plenty of parts to keep him entertained. Good for two to three hours, plus a playground out back with a small splash pad area. Nice location too.
Great things for kids to do particularly with the park and splash pad next door. Great value and the souvenir shop actually has lots of inexpensive options. No food service but they do have indoor and outdoor picnic areas.
Fun and interactive exhibits that keep kids entertained and learning. Passionate and engaged staff.
Great learning environment, for parents and children! Wonderful and engaging staff as well. Come visit and enjoy!
Amazing exhibits, amazing staff, and super clean facilities. My kids had a blast and haven't stopped begging to go back since we left!
The Children's Museum of New Hampshire is a great place to spend an afternoon. There is plenty to do and experience that it will keep the kids entertained for hours. I highly recommend this museum, especially for younger children between the ages of 3 - 9. Older children will find some fun throughout the museum, but there may not be enough for that age group and above to keep them busy as long as the younger children.
Great place. My kids love it. There is always something to do for the kids.
Wonderful museum housed in a lovely historical building with lots of unique regional inspired exhibits. I loved that my kids could play with the bobbins and spindles from the textile mills that create the beautiful buildings in the area. My four year old and one year old were equally engaged, with a separate play area for toddlers (I appreciated the staff gently policing the area as to prevent it being overrun with older kids, as they often do).
My son loves it there, he's 3 so we've been going for 3 years
This place is always great for kids to run off steam and be creative for awhile. We dont come often because you have to pay for adults and kids and with more than one child it gets pretty pricey pretty quick. Wish the arts and crafts section actually had the stuff out to complete the crafts but they just dont keep up with it after a few kids ramble through it all in the morning. My kids always love the sand and play kitchen and being able to look down onto the water though. Overall id say this is good for a pit stop here and there but its nothing over the top for the price.
We had a fun time walking around all of the exhibits
They make great use of a small space. There's something for most ages here. My 1 yr old loved the primary room. There were plenty of things to crawl through and play with.
Excellent! Can't wait to come back!
Great place for kids 1 year and up! Plan for a few hours and tons of running around. Best to leave the strollers in the car. Great toy store across the street!
Best for kids 6 and under. Some displays kind of worn out. Could use some new ideas. Staff great.
An adorable and very complete kids museum. With everything from play pretend to stem like activities for kids of all ages.
This is a great place to bring your child to explore a variety of different areas. It would be nice if it were bigger. It does have a play ground out back that is great when the weather is nice! They also allow re-entry For the entire day if you pay to go in, that way you can leave if you need to get food or something. Overall not a terrible place to kill time. Very educational for young kids.
Prefect for ages 1 to 8 any older they might get bord also fun playground bring swimsuit.
Good place for kids Sunday's for kids with sensory issues
My girlfriend rented and had her sons birthday party there and it was a great time. Very clean, fun, the kids didnt want to leave! Having the entire place to ourselves was pretty cool.
Small But great but if you like spacey places i recommend Boston Children’s muesam
We had a great day here!
Great place. My son always has a good time there. It is not big, but rich in content
I've had a great time here with my daughter and have come many times as she's grown up - she's enjoyed the musuem just as much at four as she does at eight. It's easy to find something to capture her interest every time we've come.
If you have kids 3-10 this is a great place to get your family too
Great chidrens museum. Plenty of parking (metered), great outdoor playground, fantastic set up inside.
Great Museum. Super nice and friendly atmosphere.
Lots to do in this museum. Great for kids under 7. The outside park is very nice as well.
Busy and parking is horrendous but kids had a great time
Great for many ages! My daughter has loved it already at 9 months.
It's a great spot with lots to keep kids busy, but some of the exhibits could use some cleaning and updating. Also, I wish they were open before 12pm on Sundays. There are lots of family looking for things to do on a Sunday morning.
Grandkids loved it! We all had a great time.
Excellent place for your small child to explore.
great place
Great fun & educational place for the whole family of all ages. Next to outdoor concert stage, & a newly renovated great playground with summertime outside water features & the yr round indoor pool. Would like to see lower admission prices though. All kids should be able to go here. Maybe sliding scale fee schedule with proof of inc tax or food stamps eligibity for the less fortunate?
Great place for kids. Plenty for them to do and it's kept very clean. The staff is also amazingly friendly and helpful.
Loved the baby room upstairs and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Wheelchair and baby carriage accessible through out the whole museum. Reasonable price and educational.
Great place for the kids!
We're had a membership until my son started preschool, and it's within walking distance of our house so we went quite often. He always loves our trips here, and there are always interesting things to do. It's clean and staff are professional.
My kids love this place. Each visit lasts between 2 and 3 hours and the kids are absolutely exhausted by the end. I like that they have a mix of interactive, role-playing, and quiet activities so that kids can transition through their time there. I also like the upstairs self enclosed toddler section. Do bring more than one care giver if you are going with multiple children as there is a lot of visual stimulation that kids will want to do different things. Can be expensive if you go with grandparents.
If you are local the yearly membership is a steal. Great place to drop into for a quick morning or afternoon adventure with the kids. Fun toddler area with large train set to play with. Plenty of different stations for your kids to run to and enjoy. There is also a great playground right outside now plus plenty of food options within walking distance.
Little pricey for what it is...also geared for toddler to maybe age 7
Tons of activities and things for kids to play with. Lots of learning toys too. Can get pricey if you have alot of ppl with you. Great place
Great hands on place for children
This is an outstanding museum, in fact the best one I have ever seen. Being a grandparent we go to a lot of Children's Museums, this is well worth admission fee, if we were residents here I would get a membership for sure.
Tons of stuff for the kids to explore and learn about.
Great for both kids and adults!!
Great place to bring the kids, pricing is great
Wonderful for kids and adults alike. Interactive displays demonstrate how the world works and outdoors, there's a playground and picnic area as well. Watch for special dates when military and veterans enjoy the museum entirely free of charge!
Daughter loved it plenty to
Wonderful place for all ages. Lots of activities
Fun take, clean, best for kids under 6. Exhibits don't change often. Wish there was more of an educational focus.
So much to do but 2 of our kids were bored (10 and 11)
Great place to take your active kid!!
Beautiful place, the kids had a blast!
There are a lot of different activities and options for kids of various areas. My 2 year old had a blast driving the submarine and playing with the train tables. I think some of the exhibits could use a refresh but overall we enjoyed our visit.
Beautiful and creative space.
HAD A GREAT DAY with kids
Our daughter loves this place. Lots of learning and new experiences for children.
We were pleasantly surprised by this museum. It was pirate day when we went. Our 4 year old had a blast. He loved all the different areas but his favorite was cranking his plane up 2 stories and watching it fall back down.
Great museum. Lots to do for all ages. Seems small at first but there are activities all over. We enjoyed our visit!
Great time for my 5 and 8 year old grandsons.
I do not recommend going here. The staff is uneducated and unprofessional. They have poor communication skills and all of this adds up to employee negligence. Which is never acceptable, especially in an environment full of children. More people will continue to get hurt.
Great place for young kids to explore and play. Our almost 4 year old grandson had a blast and his one year old sister had a great time too!
Very outdated and small. Unfortunately it wasnt worth the 1.5hr drive, staff appeared to careless if they were there or not. Some exhibits were broken and left you to figure it out for yourself, exhibits lacked explanations (yes it was needed on at least 2 exhibits). Our 5yr olds were bored and done within 30 mins. Limited things for under 2 as well.
Great for little ones!
Our kids love the Childrens Museum in Dover. Always clean and phenomenal staff!
Great children's museum! We got passes from the library for reduced admission which was great too. The museum has beautiful murals throughout and is friendly for kids of all ages.
This museum was a fun educational place to take our daughter! We had never been here before and it was quite a surprise for our daughter. She had a blast! We got there early, shortly after they opened. There was hardly anyone there at that time. I was able to go around and take some pictures. We were able to try a lot of what the museum had to offer so that was fun! We loved the USPS letters throughout the museum. My daughter loved delivering mail! It was just such a fun time. We did visit on a weekend so we had a feeling it would be a bit busier than a weekday, but we didn't expect a party to show up. It got a bit overcrowded by 1pm so that was a bummer. (Super packed) Too many kids hovering around exhibits by that time. So we ended up leaving much earlier than we wanted to. I think the cost of admission would have been fine had we been able to stay longer. But it was so over packed with people it made it not feel like the price was worth what we paid. We were told we could leave and come back that day, but there was absolutely no parking available. People were lined up hoping to catch a spot from anyone leaving. Again, it was great before it got overwhelming busy. I would say this museum is great for kids 5 and under. If we paid this price on a sunny Tuesday, we would have probably had the best time where it wouldnt be over crowded. But when you take a busy cold Saturday and throw a kids birthday party in the mix, it's not the best.
Perfect for 2 - 6. Experiential and accommodating. Be the postman, captain, archeologist, pilot, king, miner, engineer, conductor. Trains galore.
Great place to bring kids.
Plenty for little ones too do!
This was really educational and fun for my grandchildren (ages, 5 years old and 1 and 1/2 years old). Plan on going back again, the children loved it. So many things to see and explore.
This was a great time! All the kids had so much fun just be careful not to miss the turn before the museum or you'll need top hop in a circle with all the one way streets before finding your way back to park.
So much fun! Our 3 year old had a blast and didn't want to go when it was closing time!
My three year old loved it but I didn't think there was much to do.
On first visit this museum seems great. The issue my family has is that every thing is always the same. We have visited the museum for two years now and nothing at all has changed. Another issue I have is the fact that adults have to pay admission and there is absolutely nothing of interest for an adult. In my opinion it is like having to pay for admission to Chuck E Cheese's. My final thought is that it's a good place to visit once but with very little replay value.
My two and a half year old grandson really loved this place. The Build It, Fly It exhibit and the toy train sets were particular hits.
This is a wonderful, hands-on children's museum. Our 3 year old loves it, because he is able to enjoy all the exhibits.
So much fun and so much for the kids to do. Good size, not overwhelming.
Brought our grandkids here... very entertaining for any age child
Not huge, but exhibits were engaging.
My family loves to go to this museum. Most times when we go we spend about 2-3 hours exploring all of the exhibits. They usually have a theme of the day - like dinosaurs. It is clean and all of the exhibits are in good working order. The staff is friendly and always helpful.
Grandkids loved it ages 2 and 55
Great place to bring kids.
Great place for kids of all ages. This place is a gem. We ended up spending a rainy day there. The towers to launch planes from where a hit with our bunch as well as the submarine.
The staff is very informative and place is good for children to learn and play in a safe environment
They use their space very well here. The little post office may seem simple but it left the most lasting impression on my son.
Such a wonderful space! Creative and engaging. My 5 y.o. and I come from the Boston area at least a couple times a year to visit.
Lots of fun stuff to do
Great place to bring your kids. Many fun things to see, experience and do. Activities for all ages, even little ones. I like to donate craft items I collect for craft corner.
Absolutely wonderful children's museum! Something to entertain kids of all ages, from birth up!
Small but quite a wonderful children's museum we really enjoyed it. They had very interesting and different items we all enjoyed as a family.
