I was very impressed the kids had a lot of things to explore and played for a very long time. Love that it has things to do for a large age range. We will definitely be back. The Discovery is a little pricey (we went during a special event and only had to pay for adults), but it is a lot of fun.

First time here and it was so much fun!! I was expecting something a little different, with more hands-on experiments, but what they have is still great. The Da Vinci room was interesting. And my group worked together to get the Balloon Game accomplished. Great way to spend an afternoon!

The Terry Lee Wells Discovery Center is targeted towards sparking an interest in children in STEM fields and they don't even know. To my daughter, the word "learn" can sometimes strike fear or distress in her heart. She actually said she didn't want to go if it was a place to learn. When we arrived it became a whole different story. She wanted to go from one exhibit to the next without realizing she was learning in a different way. It was fun and exciting for her! I highly recommend The Discovery to locals and visitors alike. I found there were things I enjoyed as well. So, it isn't just for kids. Adults have a great time too. Another wonderful thing for nursing mothers: there is a family room on the first floor that is very clean, quiet, and calm to nurse and tend to baby. My husband was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the men's bathroom. Also, he said he felt comfortable using the changing table in the men's room because it was sanitary and sturdy. Something not often found in the men's restrooms elsewhere apparently.

Our 1yr old espwcially loved the water play area! Took our 8yr old for his 2nd trip, for his bday, and it was worth every penny at a reasonable price. Will DEFINATELY BE RETURNING.

I know this place runs on donations, but it looks like it's starting to get run down. However they come up with new exhibits every year, but a membership is hard to justify when it's the same stuff all year long. I did a membership when my kids were under 5 years old and it was fun for them, because of the climbing attractions. Now with them being older, they get bored with it.

Fun and educational. I had a pleasant experience myself, but noticed an issue with the 'cloud climb' interactive exhibit that will affect others who may be large of stature or mobility impaired;If your little kid is crying inside(extremely likely) you might find yourself unable to access them.

Great place for kids for to learn and have fun! Adults can learn some things too, but I believe it is mostly focused towards kids. We spent over 3 1/2 hours here. I think some vending machines or some type of food access would be a good addition to this place, especially with the fact that we were there for so long and still only made it through maybe 2/3 of building. The only issue I had was there should be an age limit in the tool/diy room. Especially when using hot glue guns. I burnt myself as an adult, so I dont exactly think its great for younger children to be around.

We enjoyed visiting this museum. We reached there around 4pm. The girl at the reception welcomed us and told us that they are close in an hour. We were two and were hesitant to purchase the tickets but receptionist girl offered us to pay for one ticket only. Overall this place is for kids. They have many science labs, activities & games for kids. I recommend this place for kids but if you are an adult there is not much for you, until you like playing some science games.

Took my grandson there today who is visiting from CA and Was very disappointed. Not only did alot of the exhibits weren't working but the DIY person who was supposed to be helping the kids make a launch rocket, all he did was say and point to what they were making but didn't explain to any of the kids on how to do nor point us in the direction of where supplies were for the project. I am very disappointed and feel that I wasted my money for my daughter, me and my grandson. If I could give zero stars I would

Great museum! I purchased the traveling membership so we also get discounts to entry across the country. Everyone here is always so friendly. The kids like the new carnival exhibit because it is hands on. They also love the construction room - kids with drills! It’s awesome. They also have a session for kids with sensory disorders where the museum opens early to accommodate their needs.

Fun and learning is what the Discovery Museum is about. Great for all ages to play with knowledge. Anatomy information, construction, engineering, memory tests, water, and physics. We brought our 1 year old and she loved running around. We had a blast too.

They have great events for kids here and the price is really good. It's only 5$ if you go on a Wednesday. The store inside has really unique stuff which I have never seen anywhere else. My little one likes all the water stuff and the climbing, but there is plenty of stuff for all ages. Every exhibit is informative and gives kids a chance to experiment with various principles and ideas, like how putting out fires in a big city works, how irrigation works, and how synapses form. The staff is amazing and helpful, and so polite. Love having this nearby :)

Fantastic place for the kids to learn and explore, getting a chance to play hands-on and experience a variety of materials and projects. There is a room just for kids under 5 so they don't get bowled over by the bigger kids. There is plenty for the older kids and adults to explore and learn, too. A fun place to spend the day!

Really amazing. But not too many hours of fun for older kids. Younger kids can spend one/two hours per room but older kids, perhaps up to half an hour. But entering and educational nonetheless. Lots of fun activities for children. Keeps them busy and not bugging you. And honestly that's all you ask for.

My kids loves this place. It has tons of things they can do. Each room has its own theme to explore. I love that it also caters information about Nevada. They have special events every now and then. They spacious rooms for birthday parties. The staff are very accomodating and gives a lot of information. I will trully recommend this place.

I was a chaperone for a field trip for my grandson's 6th grade class in 2018. The class had many hyper active boys! Whew! The musuem has many places for kids to climb like the CLOUD CLIMBER with nets so they can't fall off of the top because it is pretty high, they have many activities for kids to do and run around to work off energy. It is a great place for adults also because many learning activities are included in the museum and interesting things to do also.

The Discovery has great interactive activities for kids of all ages. My 2 year old played for 2 hours and still didn't want to leave. The water exhibit was both educational and fun. I would recommend bringing a spare set of clothes for the littles who splash more in the water.

I came here with my nephew ( he is almost 2) I think he had a blast! I love the climbing thing in the room but it seemed a little dangerous for him alone. We played in the rooms, there were a lot of kids though so I feel like he was a little intimidated. I think they should have more for younger kids to do but overall 10/10 and it was nice and clean. A bit warm inside. But a good place to spend a few hours tiring out the little one

This was a fun, interactive and educational activity, even for us adults! The Mind Bender Mansion exhibit was great fun! The staff were friendly and helpful. The facility was well maintained and had clean bathrooms. Many families with children of all ages were having a wonderful time, including ours!

The staff at the museum and Volunteer Coordinator Adam Carpenter specifically went above and beyond helping make the event a huge success. The Discovery Museum is located next door to Holy Schmidt Donuts with on-site parking. Day pass is USD$12 or membership at USD$119 a year. We always enjoy our visits, but it is expensive to take the whole family so we only go about once a year. My favorite room is the DaVinci lab in the back. My DS7 likes the human body exhibit, and both DS7 and DD5 love the cloud climber and river. We did discover the discount on Wednesday nights and that was more doable for us. If you get there right at 4 and stay till 8 (and for is 4 hours is about when the kids lose attention anyway) it makes for a doable trip. To bad we live an hour away so it is kinda late for a school night.

I used to come here a lot more frequently when my children were younger. I especially love the that kids can touch and experience the museum on their level. WIsh Reno/Sparks had more places and opportunities for more family-friendly hands-on activities. This venue has so many wonderful exhibits both permanent and featured opportunities available. The staff is super warm, friendly and informative. It would be really nice if there were more age-appropriate places for those in our community who were from 14 - 20 (in age) as there are limited activities for that group in our area. This venue can be rented out for special events or birthday parties. The museum has their own special events which include Trick or Treating and other such activities. Check out their calendar. Check out their availability for groups, family nights or even plan a field trip. Wednesday's is $5.00 admission after 4:00 pm.. The museum offers volunteer opportunities for adults as well as teens be sure to look at their website for more information. What a great asset to our community.

My son enjoyed the water area on the bottom floor and also the camping ground. Definitely would come back here again when we're in Reno. Suggestions would be: Clean each exhibit/area more often Provide more hand sanitizer stations Maybe add a small cafe near the entrance for a quick bite to prevent the hassle of leaving the building esp when the kids aren't done playing yet. Add more toddler friendly games to explore. Next door also has yummy donuts...sweet treat for the little kids.

This museum is outstanding to the max! Our 16 yo wanted to go while we were in town and I was a bit worried that it would be too young for him to really enjoy, but we all had a blast! My husband and I were just as entertained as he was! The staff were all excellent and the bathrooms were super clean, which seems to be more and more rare these days. We even got to take home our own trinket we made from the 3D printer! Our favorite part was the food sorting machine where you had to put wooden blocks of food into the correct spaces on a conveyor belt I Love Lucy Style! It was just an all around great experience! Highly recommend to families of all ages!
