Have never got to see the inside but bet its amazing

Claire White

Enjoyable, small, local museum. Can easily spend an hour if you include visiting all of the historic buildings on the grounds. They have an interesting exhibit on the NV Test Site, which was definitely not impartial, but it was really well done. They also had a section on ham radios, with a working radio setup, which is a fun nontraditional way to use the museum space! They are currently finishing work on an exhibit related to the railroad, which looks like it will be great! Visiting the historic buildings, particularly the school and homes, was a highlight. Admission is free, but donations will definitely help them further enhance the experience.

It's a well stocked museum. Surely recommend the Pahrump Valley Museum to anyone visiting or passing through Pahrump. We were greeted by Fernando, he made us feel so welcome and spent good 1 hour explaining the contents of museum, history of Pahrump and things to do in a Pahrump and Las Vegas. We surely benefitted from his knowledge on the subject. As for the museum it is well stocked with old items used by residents of Pahrump. They also have a whole room dedicated to Atomic testing. Outside of the Museum building has restored old 1st school build in 1945, Store, House and machineries and vehicles. Had a wonderful time .

Interesting and unique stop in Pahrump. The history of Nevada and weapons testing, IE: bomb testing, is very very interesting. A great stop in town!

W Gardnar O'Brien

We stopped in one day while visiting Death Valley. They have a large amount of local history and artifacts. I especially liked the railroad exhibit. One thing that floored me was to learn electricity was only available in 1962. It’s a fairly large community now so I guess farmers and businesses only had generators prior to that. We’ll likely not be back but wanted to support the effort so became members. A very nice lady was running it.

Star Carlton

Georgana Meiner

Loved this place. The gentleman who greeted us told about the History in and around Pahrump.

This place was awesome! I loved everything that was on display and the old buildings outside were fun to look at. Even being able to walk through them was enjoyable. I know when we have friends visit from out of state we’ll bring them here! And the train room was fun too, I can’t wait to go back and see it once it’s finished.
