Here you will be able to see the information of real people who used the services and products of Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas (Museum) near Nevada.
Currently the firm has a score of 4.7 out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 430 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is nearly the best, and it's founded on a very large number of reviews, so we may conclude that the evaluation is quite credible. If people have bothered to evaluate when they are satisfied, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Museum belongs to the category of History museum.
I enjoy Museums, they offer a lot of informative information. Employees are great, its kept clean as well.
Hoo boy, what a mess. I really wanted to like this place, but it was so mediocre. It was very expensive for an out of state visitor for what you receive. Many features were out dated, broken, or simply missing. For example there is a "wall garden" display with no plants in it. Lame. Technology and electronic items are geared mostly towards younger kids and they would have been amazing in the 1990's but not very impressive in 2019. My biggest gripe is how contrived the place is. It's hard to find your way around and easy to get lost. Poor signage and maps. Many closed off areas and areas that you cannot find the way to. We got lost at one point in a building and couldn't find the exit. We finally saw a metal door with an exit sign on it. When we went out we got locked out in a staff only area near a loading dock. We had no clue what to do and wandered around the staff area for awhile before finding a way back to the guest areas. It was overall disappointing and somewhat boring. I would not return. I much more enjoyed my visit to the Clark County Wetlands park, and cannot recommend that place enough instead of this.
Well maintained historical exhibits. It's a smaller museum by museum standards and missing the interactivity. I have many suggestions and adding a science and space exhibit with a star theater would definitely increase popularity. With so much history, fossils, and so many people in Nevada and Las Vegas itself, I felt it should have been much more.... more.
Awesome for the whole family. Gives you info about the history of Nevada.
Love this place for a family. I will go more with our family.
Awesome and Air Conditioned lol! Truly a must see!
Way too expensive specially when maintained from tax dollars
Great museum. Interactive exhibits are well designed
Best place in Nevada to learn Nevada history and desert geography. Live animals, interactive play stations for all. $15 or less per person. Walking, biking, running trails are safe here.
Awesome
Interesting collection of Nevada history, flora and fauna displayed in an easy-to-navigate space.
This place was nothing short of amazing. I went with a group of people ages 5-60 & they ALL had a great time! Each area was educational, yet fun and there are plenty of hands on exhibits. The cost of a day ticket included the Origen Museum as well.
A delightful experience. Very educational, very relaxing, and a wonderful place for both adults and children. My kids love the old western exhibits and the dinosaurs of course. We visit, we explore, and we learn. Name the setting and its a great idea for a visit. Kids can walk around while the parents relax, or a date perhaps! The building is clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are aleays clean ans stocked. Staff is ready to help and very knowledgeable. Sometimes we forget we need this time to ourselves and this is a great place to visit to have that time.
Nevada and Las Vegas history--nice exhibits.
Fun place to take your kids and look around.!
Just a beautiful sweet place. $16 for three o. The nice train ride and another $17 for the museum for locals. It’s worth it.
I love that they are part of the "Museums on Us" program from Bank of America. My son loves it every time we visit!
A little bit off the beaten path but enjoyed a lot
Educational and great food but the train ride was so squeeky lol
Just way too expensive and not really that exciting. It felt more about big spend and lights than about an actual museum.
I recommend this Las Vegas attraction if you plan to do any sightseeing. Plan to spend a few hours or so. History buffs will enjoy.
Very well done for a small museum. We especially enjoyed the mirror maze!
If you love history this is the place to be the Spring Preserve has Trails museums I come here often because I never get a chance to finish one part of the area that I enjoyed currently I'm walking the outdoor hiking area of the preserve very enjoyable quiet walk you can hear the birds singing the winding blows the leaves of the trees very calming I do recommend it for anyone that wants to see wear Las Vegas began this is the place to be great for all ages you should be with your children but your grandparents with your date or you can like today by yourself and still have a great time.
Great!!!!!! Must visit, best info on Nevada and Las Vegas.
Nice place to visit for a quick history of the state
Very nice and well run museum, interesting to visit, good for kids. Although no real masterpieces to see, well worth a visit.
This is a great place, you need to visit. Great history for all of Nevada for adults and kids
Springs Preserve et al is my favorite place in Vegas. And the Nevada museum is packed full of interesting displays.
Very informative
Very cool place to bring visitors
Nice museum. Went with a homeschool group so it was free for us. The actual price is quite pricey for what it is. I believe it's included with the admission for the Springs Preserve, so like a 2 for 1 which is great but I'd never pay full price to just go with my family. It's small, nice, and cozy.
Great place for kids
Loved this place I will definitely go back again and purchase the membership
Awesome place to learn and have fun!
Great place could have spent all day there.
This place is awesome. We will be back a few more times at least. So much to see.
Fun place. Very friendly staff. Very well cooled despite the hot day outside. All the exhibits were well maintained and excellently done. Best deal is to get the membership instead of individual admissions. Lots of fun for the whole family! Highly recommended!
Went here with kids, we loved the exhibitions and the playground.
Very educational. The kids and us adults were entertained from beginning to end of our visit. The staff was very engaging, polite, and helpful.
So cool
A lovely place to connect to and with history
My family loves coming here! We love the exhibits and we especially love the fun activities they have for my kids!
I love the history of this museum, i was there with my kid he had a lot of fun
Great Museum, Botanical Gardens, and the food in the cafe was very good. But was disappointed that handicap parking was in full sun (98° - 100° mid-Sept.) while other parking was under shade.
Lots to do, very big and they are expanding, you will spend all day here.
Great for families, had live animals too...lors to see and learn about the area
There is a lot to see, but it could have better information on all of the areas that are available. There is the Navada State Museum, and a neat children's museum called the Origen museum, a butterfly habitat, nature trails and a nature exchange.
Great place to learn about the history of Nevada, great trails to hike on are nearby that are great to take the family
Shows the history of Las Vegas. Changing displays has little displays of various displays of different time periods.
Pretty cool small museum of southern Nevada's history. We were rushed thru , it was our fault for showing up late. But did see some cool artifacts. Glad it's free w paid entrance fee to springs preserve.
What a wonderful way to spend the day. So much to see and learn
A beautiful museum with interesting exhibits. Worth visiting especially for locals.
Such a cool place! Lots of history and they make it interesting for the kids.
Worth a visit.
Its awesome, historically correct, very quiet, not over crowded. Over all good stuff.
Nice History, loved the art and the story of where we've been. Getting around once inside can be improved upon; but then again it's can also be seen as an adventure.
There's more to Vegas than a strip. This museum is great!
Enjoyed learning about Nevada state history.
Special Event was handled professionally and with kindness. Excellent venue. The preserve and museum are perfect for families and photographers.
Great for the Whole Family. Explore new Adventure indoors and outdoors..
Awesome, place to chill from heat
The musuem was cool and informative and we enjoyed it. The outdoor portion was confusing to navigate we got hot and frustrated and gave up without seeing much of anything outside.
Not very interesting.
Great place for the entire family
Well designed, lots of information, very interesting place for a wide range of ages.
Super neat place to check out.
One of the best museums I have ever been to. It is very clean and organized.
The thing is, they talk it up so grand in the media, but when you get there not really all that great. This is supposed to be a state museum and although Dinosaurs were a part of Nevada, they should not be the main attraction. One whole side of the museum was closed off. So really all I got to look at was fossils and stuffed animals. There was a very small section on the Hoover Dam, and some displays about early gaming. But honestly, not worth the time. I can say with certainty I will not be going back. As a local, I think they can do much better.
Wonderful!! Lots to see and do plus they have lectures to attend
This is a lot bigger than the one in Carson City
This place is great for children. So many interesting facts about Nevada and it's beginnings. Great price too!
Great place for kid, and all age!
Great museum and well worth the visit. Get there early so you can see everything it has to offer.
Just go. So much to see and learn.
I've Found My Folies Bergère Wedding Dress (and it's gorgeous)
If you are at Springs Preserve don't miss out on the Museum! It doesn't take long and kids like it.
Waste of money. Staff not welcoming, tattoo lady followed so closely it was intimidating. Reception not informative. Museum more for kids or school field trips under age 10. Quite disappointing!
This is a great museum. Lots of natural history as well as State history.
Great place for locals and visitors alike - lots of info about Nevada, from environment to industry. Probably best for kids at the grade school age or older - there are some activities and exhibits that might appeal to kids under 5 but potentially not enough of them to make it worth it.
A few exhibits running, including natural history, local history, and a National Geographic exhibit. Granted, my 5 year old got a little bored. But she's 5. Myself and girlfriend enjoyed it quite a bit, and found it educational and intriguing.
Museum is neatly arranged by artifacts & interesting information.
Great info on early Las Vegas and Clark county settlers.
Wonderful museum! Definitely check it out. Great for kids and adults alike.
Super cool Little gem in the middle of the desert my husband took me here with my in-laws what a wonderful surprise has three museums in one a path for you to walk in the desert and Botanical Garden
Buy the year-round pass if you're planning on coming here twice. The museum and the park have been a place for wandering and relaxation for almost a year-- I'll likely buy another year pass again. The collection is easily perused in a few hours and well curated.
Very fun place, to be with the family. Much to learn, much to learn.
Well worth a visit
It's neat. They have a mine cart simulator and a Superman telephone booth.
First time there. I will go back to eat soon
Very educational, suitable mostly for families with children museum covering early history and development of Last Vegas.
A fun place to visit. Take your kids and spend time learning lots of things. The exhibits are really cool and a portion of it changes so you can go back often.
Feb 23, 2019. It was free that day and one of our kids birthday. The hands on exhibit was the best that my kids liked. I loved the rocks, minerals and mining history. My husband loved the dinosaurs, wait, cross that. He loved the prehistoric and historic stuff. It was all educational and enjoyable. THE BAD: Cold day, could not do the water fun kid stuff. Too many rampant kids all over (mine). Parents frantically screaming because they lost a kid (Me). ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's a nice little museum that shows the history of the Las Vegas area.
An amazing place for the entire family ps. Bring some waters
There's multiple museums to go look at , really fun for people from young kids to elderly.
Came for the dinosaur exhibit, had a great time. Was nice to walk through some nature close to home
Great displays of Nevada history, for both adults and children. Right next door to springs reserve, another great place for kids.
Proud we have a museum...I take kids here every so often.
Awesome dino exhibit
Had so much fun
We went on the train and learned alot
This was inside the Springs Preserve and is one of the reasons museums to visit in there. I enjoyed it a lot and spent more time than I was expecting in there. There were a lot of fun things to see and do. I highly recommend you bring your children here.
Great family fun!
Great museum. Very peaceful location.
There was a free day at Springs Preserve, which is where the museum is located. The exhibits we're great. There are a lot of natural history and Nevada specific displays. Whomever curates the museum is doing a great job. But, if you value your own sanity and peace of mind DO NOT GO ON AN ADMISSION FREE DAY. There is a lot to see, both inside and outside, but with forty three thousand children jumping around, screaming, hollaring, pushing, and crying any sane person will be driven out of their bloody mind.
Great place to take the family. There is a LOT to see.
It was pretty cool even at a hundred and one degrees
My adult daughter & I went to spend the day. We took our time to enjoy all of the interactive displays. The desert garden was one of our favorites. There were live animals there for a featured show. We enjoyed the information for them & even pet a snake (boa) for the first time. Very educational in a fun environment! We visited last summer & after 5 hours still didn't get through everything. When we went this summer, it was to see other features we'd missed. Love this place. I recommend to all ages!
Was nice to walk through some nature close to home
A nice thing to do! I'm not really into the overwhelming-ness of the strip. Quiet and pleasant, just like I was looking for.
First time visitors to the museum. My family and I are from California. We learned a lot about the state of Nevada from the early years, like how it got it's name to how the Hoover Dam was built, flash floods in the desert, casino history and how Las Vegas came to be. It is a clean and inviting environment.
Awesome place
Awesome museum! Definitely recommend. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great place. Kids won't get bored. Nice museum
Nice place to take children, very informative!
Great place full of good information and interactive for kids as well
Went there with the kids and they loved it and I did too.
Very neat place! I really enjoyed my time there.
Nice museum. We visited because my daughter was assigned Nevada as her 4th grade project state. I'd say it was very much worth the visit.
Fantastic small museum that details both the natural history and the human history of the state of Nevada.
Went with family and had an amazing time. We bought the family year pass because you can't see everything in one day, and the exhibits are always changing.
Loved the spring preserve! Great experience for all ages. My family enjoyed all the interactive activities. Definitely considering a family membership to be able to go year round!
Much more than I expected
Great place for kids. Lots to see and do. The gift shop has great prices and the staff is very friendly!!
Beautiful setting. Plenty of history
Very informative w/o being overboard
Great place to learn about Nevada
Great place to learn more about Nevada history. Awesome fossils and artifacts from around the state.
I love it here it's beautiful and very educational
Great little musuem. A lot to see and a great value.
Well organized and full of interesting exhibits. Larger than expected. Very enjoyable few hours visiting there.
Good place to take the family
This place is simply amazing, it's nice to know that we still have places like this where we can go to learn and or remember how the entertainment capitol of the world got its beginnings, not many places like this left.
Nice break from the strip. Beautiful. Great play area for kids.
love the exhibits, lots of information.
Fascinating displays of local history.
Good for the kids
This is a must visit location in Las Vegas! If you live in the area or are visiting for more than a few days..... And you can upgrade your ticket to visit the other museums and sites on this preserve area too. Worth a visit if you like learning and museums. And they have great customer service and knowledgable docents.
Really cool and a lot to look at!
Really enjoyed this museum, but I wish had it some more in-depth exhibits rather than trying to encapsulate the entire history of Nevada from about 100 million years ago to the present.
Love this place. AMAZING.
Learned some new stuff this time... very neat place my 11 year old daughter fell in love with the place.
Beautiful and entertaining place, my kids loved it!
Great way to spend an afternoon
A wonderful well hidden museum.
Very interesting. Learned a lot about NV history.
Great place for all the family!!
Outstanding museum. It has every subject there. I could spend hours there.
This place is a lot of fun and great for the family!
Wonderful place to spend a quiet afternoon. Great for family, groups, or solo. Educational displays designed for total enjoyment.
This is a great stop while at Springs. The have amazing artifacts on the history of Nevada. From prehistoric times to mordern times. Amazing to see the history of the state right there. Exhibits were really well done. They have classrooms and a gift store. Great staff!
Really interesting large museum and grounds. Easy to spend a lot of time here. Friendly staff too.
As an out-of-stater who just wanted to learn more about the history of Nevada, I was sincerely frustrated that I could not visit the Nevada State Museum without paying for an unwanted entrance into the Springs Preserve. I don’t have kids and I was not interested in going into the Preserve. I only wanted to wander about the Nevada State Museum. I simply don’t understand why this isn’t possible. If it was possible to give no stars, I would.
All the kids loved this trip
Love the maintenance of this place.
Pretty nice but not worth the cover charge use Groupon or POGO pass for better deal You will need several hours to see it all.
Great place to learn about the history of Nevada. Kid friendly too
Fun! Everyone in the family had a favorite exhibit
