Here you will be able to see all the information of people like you who use the products and services of Lost City Museum (Museum) in the state of Nevada.
At present this business gets a rating of 4.5 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 214 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is practically the highest, and it's based on a very high number of scores, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is quite credible. If people have bothered to rate when they are pleased with the service, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum is included in the category of Museum.
A must see
A very nice little museum. If you are in the area and have an extra hour this is worth a visit. The building itself was constructed by the CCC in the 30s. This was worth the time and $5 to visit. Not a destination in itself but a nice addition to a tour of the area.
Very small museum. More of a local museum. But has a lot of artifacts from the native peoples.
Quaint history museum near Lake Mead. Very nice collection of publeo artifacts.
Great little museum about the Moapa Valley region and the Lost City Pueblo Grande culture. Tour takes about 30-45 mins depending on how much you read, etc. There are two 15-minute videos, too.
Nice
The museum is a nice place to know more about Anasazi, the native American.
Great little museum. Tons of information about Puebloan Indians in Nevada. Museum was built on an actual prehistoric site. Really wonderful
Cool place to visit.
Cute museum. Loved the town. Great to drive through and take it back to town through the lake. Great drive.
Excellent display of artifacts and replicas! Wonderful information. Even a place for the kids the climb in and out of dwelling replicas! We enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed this museum. It’s off the beaten track, which makes it better in my opinion.
Very interesting museum.
Always a well done exhibit of artifacts
Went to this museum as part of a group of ccsd teachers for the minerals and mining workshop. Nice little museum with lots of historical artifacts.
So awsome. The people at the museum are kind and also help you so kindly if you have any questions about sonething in there. The 2 movies are great hope yo go again soon! Props to Jackie!
This is a nice museum, simple, informative, and well-thought-out. It would have been nice if it was actually some of the traditional original native homes instead of a setup of the dig site.
Short and sweet yet informative and a breath of fresh air. Too bad this wasn't taught in classrooms like it used to be.
Amazing place!
Today we got in free but it is usually just $5. There is lots of information. It is very interesting information. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Very informative and well organized. Great collection of artifacts.
Lots of very interesting displays. Very nice people there.
It's a rather small museum, you can easily go through it in an hour so it makes a great road trip stop. Very interesting, a lot of artifacts with a few things thrown in that seem to have little to do with the actual lost city.
Knowing the story of a town it's always a plus. It increase you're own knowledge.
It's worth the 5 bucks to get in. I was in the area.. if I'd traveled far to see it.. I'd have been a little less enthusiastic about it. I was far more impressed with the outdoor structures you can see for free.
Cool place to go and learn a little history great for the family!
Lot's to see if you like history a must see
Even if you're on the right #track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
I learned so much about the area. While the homes are replicas, it was so fun to look at them. Makes me glad I live in this century :)
This place is amazing!!!
This is a hidden gem! Bring the family for learning and a picnic. There are shaded kennels free of charge for the family pet while you explore the ancient history of this amazing area. The staff love to answer questions. The gift shop stocks certified Native American Crafts. On the way to Lake Mead and Valley of Fire Parks.
Interesting stop. Good history lesson.
An unexpected gem
(Translated by Google) An unusual visit for the US. The museum is small but interesting, going there on purpose is exaggerated but on the way to Valley of Fire is a must stop.
I very interesting look at the ancient way of life.
Well planned, professional displays of local historic Native American culture. Friendly helpful staff.
Very friendly and clean. So interesting!
Staff stood out. Thanks to them for being so helpful with instructions and general discussion on museum subjects or area nearby. It's good and worth a visit. You can combine with near fire state park which has some good views.
(Translated by Google) Beautiful place❤ (Original) Bello lugar❤
An interesting place to visit and learn about the indians who once lived there
Very interesting museum for local Indian culture, living and construction. A lot of amazing details are displayed there based on an original Indian excavation site. Als quite interesting are the reconstructed Indian house types outside. It is worth for 2 to 3 hours to spend there.
The displays we're nice. But the lady taking the money was quite rude and smart-assed!!
Very interesting and small museum.
Loved the place.
A great place to bring the kids.
Plan to stay awhile to view structures
As these kinds of specialty museums go, this one tells the tale of a "lost city" which once resided under Lake Mead. Now that the lake has fallen on hard times, the city has resurfaced covered in mud and disintegrating. The museum brings to life the pioneer era and Native American culture.
Incredible history of Anasazi Indians
Very interesting
Nice. The staff are great. Friendly and nice. After we got done I mentioned to my wife let's get something to eat. They gave us recommendations as to where to go and what to try.
Really interesting. Kids loved it. Able to walk around and actually look at ancient ruins and ways of life.
Very interesting place. Learned lots and I'm usually not one to visit museums. Good place to take visitors.
(Translated by Google) Very little to see. (Original) Muy poco que ver.
Fun museum, very informative with some great items. Definitely a must on the way to Valley of Fire. RV parking is good
Awsome
Decent place but it needs a major intervention. I'm giving it a high rating because of the nice lady up front at the desk. She's very informative! Taught us about a few cool low key off road attractions.
Cool little Museum which gives a good history of the ancient Pueblos and Anasazi people in the area. The interior of the museum is built around a historic ruins site, and it was cool to see. There are a few films you can watch which are neat. Also, there is a meet Recreation outside in the back of the Pueblo and Anasazi houses. The staff was friendly as well. If you enjoy museums, check it out. The price is right. My son had a blast when we visited here.
Well inside it was kinda boring. But it was cute. The people are nice.
This place had a lot of history and artifacts it does cost $10 each person.
Really worth stopping by and spending some time. Plan for a couple of hours to really get the whole experience inside and out. The location is a little out-of-the-way, but while visiting the valley of fire this is a great museum to visit.
Great history, nice presentation
This is a gem! One of the best museums I have ever seen. We spent twice as much time there as we planned, enjoying the wonderful displays and asking questions of the archaeologist. Well worth the visit!
Some really cool artifacts
This is a very quaint Museum it's worth the stop
Kool place
We enjoyed the history
Very interesting.
Love this place and the care of all Volunteers. Informative, clean and amazingly friendly staff.
This little museum has so many artifacts that were found right the area! Also there are outdoor recreations of the homes the indians would have made. There is also an outdoor shaded area with picnic tables for your use. The lil gift shop has some really nice silver jewelry and indian jewelry. There is a semi precious stone section as well which i really liked. Entrance fee is just $5 pp.
Such a fun experience! Would recommend anyone to visit!
Nice little museum. 5 bucks worth. The volunteer at the front desk give us many information about the ancient people and there life.
Cool place to see how native Americans survived before whitey got here
Great local small town museum tended by really caring staff and volunteers. Very interesting and worth a stop.
Rich with information and displays even though it's a small museum. Loved the movies and outdoor exhibits
If you are nearby this is a definite don't miss. Lots of displays and history to be learned
Enjoyed all the history.
Nice museum, friendly staff, no crowds, low cost
Overton old history
Wonderful museum with tons of original artifacts. We looked at everything and it took just over two hours
Fun little museum, well worth the short time it takes to see it, on your way to the Valley of Fire or other destinations.
A good overview of the native peoples who lived in the area with many artifacts and interesting background. Most interesting are recreated Pueblos and pit house. Nominal fee to get in and worth supporting for the history it preserves.
Very interesting place to visit.
Really really cool! The history of the area is amazing! The displays in this little museum are well thought out and the entry fee is very reasonable. I loved learning about the way the natives dealt with the desert and lived in harmony with it. My favorite was the replicas of the adobe homes out behind the museum itself. If you are visiting the Valley of Fire or the surrounding area then I definitely recommend a stop here.
Very interesting place to visit.
A small but unique little gem. I wouldn’t consider it a must if you’re in the area, but if you have time and want something off the beaten, touristy path, this is definitely for you! Very informative displays, and the people are incredibly friendly. There are also some fun, unique finds in their gift shop. I’m so glad we happened to make this part of our trip.
Very interesting information and artifacts. My kids lived it.
Nice museum showing the timeline of the local cultures going back a few thousand years. Nice gift shop. Worth your time and money.
The lady at the front door. Very very friendly. Told us a lot. And she even told us which way to drive for the most scenic way. On our adventure
Such a great place to learn about the history of this area. Lots of great artifacts to see with stories to go with them!
Wow, is this a hidden gem! Wonderful artifacts and great interpretive information. Don't underestimate this place if you have an interest in Ancient Puebloan (Anasazi) culture.
Very educational, a good spot too stop
In the middle of nowhere we've met nice people and seen very interesting pieces of history.
Es muy interesante .pequeño y encantador.
Tres interessant.
I had a lot of fun learning some history about my state.
Very informative. Lots of information about the surrounding areas. Friendly staff. Nice gift shop. Movie. Will visit again
It was ok, small museum. The outside part was all closed down.
This was great very interesting as much as I am a part of the American Indian nations I sure learned a lot about my brothers proud to be a part of the nation's this is a must-see.
Not a bad place. A little history of the area
This is an archaeological site. Worth the trip.
Lots of interesting information about the formation of valley of fire and the Indians history.
Artifacts of indigenous inhabitants of this area.
Great place to take an MC ride
Fun little detour.
Aka lost city museum... Jessy was very fun to talk with, the facilities are exemplary for this old hidden gem of a museum. A must see, take your time, indoor, outdoor and lots of artifacts
Interesting!
Nice displays. Lots of great info. A must do if you visit the Ring of Fire in the Valley of fire.
I am a docent here. This is an awesome museum about the ancestral puebloans, plus there is a whole lot of history of the Moapa Valley and this area in General. Come out and see for yourself.
Was a let down. The pictures of the houses is what drew us to the location. And come to find out that they were replicas and we couldnt even look in those. You could see in the top of apit house but only to the bottom of the steps. Was some good info in the museum.
A hidden gem. Definitely want to go in the morning before it gets hot, to enable you the opportunity to to investigate things outside. The staff is more than willing to assist you with history of the area, and point you to places to visit off their location as well.
Equivalent to a national park service (NPS) visitor center. Lots of info on the pueblos. Admission fee.
Stopped by for a quick visit while passing through Overton. Glad I did. Nice displays and enjoyed learning about those who were here first.
(Translated by Google) You can learn a bit of history and relax for a while (Original) Można poznać trochę historii i chwilę odpocząc
The lost museum gives a great glimpse of the past, if you are debating the long drive to get here I would say that it is worth it. A lot to read and try to imagine. Though the video presentation seemed to become the nap room after the long drive for the family.
Fun and interesting and a learning environment
Tour inside the museum
Clean & interesting
Really neat place nice gift shop
A rare find tucked away in the middle of nowhere. Good info and great gift shop
Nice museum, a good deal of artifacts and history. A nice place spend a couple of hours.
Very nice smaller museum. Great historical displays.
Aka lost city museum... Jessy was very fun to talk with, the facilities are exemplary for this old hidden gem of a museum. A must see, take your time, indoor, outdoor and lots of artifacts
Very interesting.
Very clean and relaxed. The artifacts are maintained well and the stories about them are told in detail. They have an outside area with replicas of the pueblo housing.
(Translated by Google) Very interesting place a lot of culture (Original) Muy interesante lugar mucha cultura
Excellent place to visit. Looks to be child friendly.
Very interesting..worth the stop
Did you know that the Anasazi were in Nevada as well as Arizona and New Mexico? Most aren't aware of that as they pass the signs for the museum along Interstate 15. Only about an hour north of Las Vegas, the Lost City Museum is a premiere Anasazi museum in an unexpected setting for those thinking New Mexico-Arizona as the location. It's also conveniently close to Lake Meade Recreation Area, and the Valley of Fire State Park, a beautiful red-sandstone area reminiscent of Southern Utah and the Sedona region of Arizona.
Very interesting, it is so cool that the history of the people that once lived here is being protected.
(Translated by Google) Sweet little museum. I would not go there extra, but for a little stopover it was worth stopping there and looking at the old archaeological site. Unfortunately the little house was locked outside.
Very interesting place to visit. It's small but very informative with freindly people
Lovely little museum and well worth the visit. Helpful staff. Watch the movies in the little theatre and take the quiz.
Very nice off the main road museum. Friendly and informative staff.
Very interesting. Great displays of artifacts.
Wonderful little gem of a museum with no crowds.
IMO, It's a waste if time and money, unless you are a real history geek. 1. It's 15 min away from the highway, thus 30 min round trip. 2. Entrance fee is $5/person. It is an old-school archeological museum with glass cabinets with info posters, a timeline dating back to first people the area, and a display of native american pottery, weapons, jewellery. Last 3 displays show finds from 100 and 50 years back. Not the ancient history I had in mind... The ancient structure you see on all photos is a replica of a storage unit. Not authentic, not a dwelling place. A bookshop and a souvenir store occupy a very large space on that tiny museum, making me feel that there was not much history to display to begin with.
Nice quaint little Museum designed to Intrigue and inform
Very informative and some cool relics inside. Not very big but if you enjoy history and artefacts this is worth the stop and 5 bones it costs.
