Take your family. Great exibits
Loved it. The treasure hunt was a lot of fun. Cute gift shop.
Nice informative walking tour at your own pace. Put on your walking shoes and have your water handy
Very fun inexpensive
Been here in Vegas for 30 yrs. & didn't even know this was here. Well worth the trip to the museum. Take a step back in time & go see this. You won't be sorry. So much HISTORY!
Good view to the past, And the entrance prices are to laugh
Very informative we wish we could have seen Mark
Had a blast went with my seniors
Awesome place to learn about Nevada history as a newer resident of Nevada. Very cool
A well run museum. Worth a stop in to learn about Nevada history.
Good and varied exhibits. Only costs a buck or two. Signage on highway could be clearer.
Best museum in the country! Take a few hours you will need it!! Thanks for such a reasonable fee!
Well worth the visit. It's a historical gem and you can't beat the price.
I love this place, I definitely have an old soul in me
Great time! Great exhibits. Will definitely return.
Really fun museum that really goes into the history of Clark County. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a great museum! Cool models, artifacts, and history.
This museum is just the ticket for nostalgia buffs. The ancient exhibits are a bit lame but my favorites are the homes that have been saved for exhibit. You walk through a real neighborhood of real homes that have been moved to the open-air museum and enter a recreation of the past. The homes have vintage furnishings, appliances, rugs, and decorations from many eras. There even is an adorable travel trailer. For railroad enthusiasts there is a railroad depot with vintage luggage, a telegraph office, and several railroad cars to stroll through. I see that they have added a small church that looks gorgeous but have not seen that yet. Very nice diversion for both residents and tourists.
Kid's had a blast
Great history and fun. Perfect weather for wandering the homes and sites.
A small museum that packs a lot of Clark County, Nevada (which includes Las Vegas) geologic, archeolgic, and anthropologic history into its limited space. Friendly staff, and very inexpensive entry fees make this a real bargain. There are also some old homes and businesses from early Las Vegas that were moved onto the grounds and are open to public viewing, and there is a marked trail for further exploring the area desert landscape; unfortunately it was closed during our summer visit due to excessive high heat conditions. If you've watched "Pawn Stars" you're perhaps aware that the salt-and-pepper bearded Mark Hall-Patton with the funky western hat heads the Clark County Museum systems. Maybe you'll see him here?:) If you're in the area with a few hours to spare, this is a recommended tidbit of western America worth visiting!
Great museum. Lots to see and enjoy for a nominal entry fee. Very interesting and the displays are authentic artifacts with all the necessary information to spark curiosity in adults as well as children school age and older
One of the best museums we have been to. You get to walk outside and tour various houses that are filled with antiquities and history. Awesome place. Don't miss it!!
My daughter was absolutely thrilled Mark took a few minutes out if his day to talk to her! It really made for a special visit.
I love this little museum! We visit here every time we are in the Vegas area. My kids and I love seeing all of the old buildings and other things. This is definitely a must see.
Small but fun very inexpensive $2 per adult wonderful family outing
Awesome place. Wish I had more time. Only 2 dollars too.
Wonderful place to take the kids. We go every couple weeks. A lot of room for the kids to roam around and a lot of good information about the history of Clark County. A lot of fun!
Out of the way, but worth the trip, if you are interested in the history of the area, and to see furnishings, clothes and other artifacts from different decades. There are a number of actual homes that you can enter to see what it was like to live in at the time they were built. Also in the property are train cars, a station, wagons etc. It is a lovely gem, away from the strip. Also the admission is so small, it is quite a deal. 1 critique you cannot buy beverages in the gift shop. People are walking around outside in the heat, there should be at least water available for purchase, if not soda, coffee etc.
This is among the finest small museums I've been to. Our family has toured many of the California missions, civil war forts in the South, and revolutionary war sites. We actually quite enjoy local and small historical sites and museums and this one is among the best. It has an interesting assortment of historical and natural exhibits. Several historic buildings have been moved to the site. I originally came by planning to spend a short time visiting the chapel where we were married. While that was certainly a pleasant and memorable part of my trip I was sad I hadn't allotted more time to visit the exhibit memorializing the shooting from last October, or the exhibit on per colonial natives, or boom town Boulder City, or early Las Vegas, or railway history, or Mojave desert, the list goes on. I will be back, and often.
The best bargain in all of the Las Vegas area. A pittance of only $2 gets you into the grounds and the inside museum. Plenty of parking with a few covered spots. The museum inside houses a great collection of artifacts from the areas history including mining, exploring, early gambling photos and old slot machines. Outside the museum has a great assortment of rescued and preserved houses and large vehicles such as steam train locomotives, box cars, old cars, tractors and farm equipment. There is a train station, caboose, buildings that make up an old western ghost town including an old jail and general store. Also a slice of old suburban living with a complete street of old houses that you can go inside. Each house if full of antiques and artifacts. There is even an old motor court and vintage camping trailer from the early days of tourist travel. Plan to spend a couple hours exploring it all. In a town what is always reinventing itself and celebrating the newest thing, it's nice to see a bit of history preserved.
Love this place!
I visited a few years ago and it was a great experience. It looks like they have had new additions. It is well worth the admission price.
Worth going to. Interesting museum and great historic village!
Nice hidden gem here in Henderson. Only 1.00 for seniors. Had a great time. Don't go when it is warm. Lots to do outside.
Wonderful place I recommend going there.
We went to the Christmas event. Loved all the old houses and antiques. Very educational and the kids had fun. Volunteers were friendly.
One of Las Vegas BEST
Loved it had fun
Peaceful outside museum
Sure enjoy this museum! Everyone needs to make sure they give themself time to visit this museum.
This was an awesome place to visit. So much to see and the price is right. The staff was very nice and accommodating. And everything was nice and clean. You can spend hours here. It was a great museum with lots of historic homes. Gives you an accurate picture on how things were many many years ago. They also have some haunted houses and iron from mining days out in the yard which is a nice walk. Would definitely come back again!
It was all decked out for the holidays. Santa was there, they had free crafts for kids, cookies and cocoa. Carolers were singing along the street. Ir was a great place to take the whole family!
I adore this museum. The price can't be beat and the history is awesome. We were on a group tour and the volunteer helping was fantastic.
My favorite museum in Nevada. Walk through time from pre history to the street of 20th century houses that were moved there, many from downtown L.V.
Nice to see Vegas and clark county history. It was fun and walked into the houses on the property too. That was cool. Happy I made the trip there from the strip. Walked nextdoor to a casino and ubered back to the strip. Fun day. Great memories
We're visiting from out of town and our son and his wife brought us here. Spectacular!!!
Honestly, I never get tired of visiting this amazing museum! Not only is the price incredibly inexpensive but the entire property is filled with Nevada's history. It's always a great experience for the whole family!
Great time learning history here! Love the open buildings tbat you can walk into. Excellent displays!
Great little museum. We love visiting and they change and add new stuff all the time. Take the time to walk the nature trails.
A great place to see the way it was years ago. Keeping history alive!
Been coming here since I was a young boy. It's one of my favorite places. Very well done displays and tons to look at.
Interesting. Easy walk very informative
Outstanding learning experience. Small enough for the older people but large enough to have significant value. Even teens found it worth while.
This look on museum has all kinds of outdoor things but rain and live displays to look at everyone will enjoy it the inside and the outside of the property. There are event to take place certain times a year there are houses to go inside and see how people lived in Boulder City in the early years. Chance you can meet the curator mark and he'll tell you all about it.
Clark County Museum is truly a hidden gem in the Las Vegas area. This is a must see place. For a tiny donation of $2 you see a lot of the history of the area and they have a gallery room that changes displays every few months. Right now through February they are showing a memorial for last years October 1 shootings at the Highway 91 festival. It was very moving. They also have an entire area outside set up like an old town with homes and buildings that have been moved there and restored. They are completely furnished and done in the time period they are from. It's amazing!! Definitely visit!!
Best part of trip & only cost $2
Nice place very interesting
Had a great time with the grand kids. Learned a lot about Clark county.
Wonderful. The historic homes on display were fascinating.
Best value in Clark county. We even saw Mark Hall Patton. This museum was a treasure grove for us to visit.. we really enjoyed the houses as well as the main museum....this is a must see...at on a couple of bucks you'd be a fool to miss this gem!
A special and interesting place , I visited there and had a lot of fun.
Neat place. Not exactly bolder city more bolder hwy. The main building is nice has gift shop and bathrooms and people are Very friendly there. The moved houses on this nice setup unique street are amazing, giving that peaceful back in time feel and walking in 3 definitely was a surprise with each set up nicely older style furniture they had back then and there was wax figures of people it was neat! Everything well done and older preserved train station you go in also. Other buildings and inside are ok alot to see. Outside A trail leads to ghost town and trinkets all along the way. Several trails could see but was getting tired and heat/sun was hitting down. A neat museum I can't wait to attend the Christmas attraction. We brought our own water as saw in previous reviews to and it definitely helped. I recommend yes.
Excellent place to visit loved it
Hidden gem. The outdoor exhibits and open houses are outstanding exhibits. All for $2. Do not miss it.
Awesome place! The older homes are a wonderful piece of history, and the interior displays are quite interesting. And you can't beat the $2 entry fee.
As for many things around Vegas, I wouldn't suggest going in the summer like we did. Some buildings are air conditioned, but you still have to walk around outside. We loved the old street with homes modeled after the 1940s and thereabout. I could relate as I grew up in such a home. Brought back great memories. The other exhibits were nice, but this was the highlight. My interest is photography, not history, so from my perspective it was just an hour or two stop. History buffs might rate it higher. Can't beat the price, only a buck.
Awesome museum. Very well maintained.
Had very interesting historical info on Las Vegas and first families in Las Vegas. Enjoyed the historical homes and train cars.
Fun for the whole family plus its cheap. Quiet and clean. Its never been crowded everytime i go.
I love this place! It's like a stand still location of the history of Las Vegas.
Best family bargain in Las Vegas. spent a few hours here with a 10 and 13 year old. $6 total for 4 of us. Really great job by the staff here. Hidden gem of Las Vegas.
Great small museum for Las Vegas history. We loved how they saved and preserved all of the old early small houses and made each one into a mini museum.
Great spot to visit. Lots of interesting Clark County and Nevada artifacts and history.
Been going here since I was in elementary back in the 1990s. An I still love here.
It's a wonderful place to spend a few hours looking into the past. It's not overwhelmingly large but full of interesting and educational exhibits. Bring a picnic and find a place to relax in the shade in the restored village. Walk through the nature trails and see lizards, a rabbit, and all the desert beauty in a compact area. Btw, a bargain at twice the price! $2 for adults and $1 for seniors. You never know, you might run into the elusive "Beard of Knowledge"!
An amazing place to go, love how they preserve our historic moments
Been here many times with different visitors & family, always great and very educational.
This is a great museum so much info and facts a 2nd visit is a must, I'll be going many more times. Even in the summer months outdoor exhibits are walkable in the morning hours, I would suggest doing the outdoor part first. The indoor section has a little bit of everything about Clark County, and a great gift shop. The lighting at some of the indoor exhibits could be just a bit brighter. Have fun, I did.
This place is AMAZING!!! Well worth the $2 entrance fee!!! Really cool Nevada history.
Fascinating and enjoyable activity. Great information in each of the exibits. I suggest you go early to avoid the heat as there is a moderate amount of walking outside.
A great place to visit with the kids. Heritage Street is a wonderful, unique experience. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Nice museum with local history. Great value as well. Spare a few hours to walk around, highly recommended. Use the QR codes to see the videos on YouTube as you go around.
Small inside, but well worth a visit if you are a history buff. They do a great job of covering the timeline of the area. Between inside and outside we spent 4 hours here and plan on going back. Excellent gift shop, tons of parking. $1 senior admission!
Very interesting and neat place to explore. They have a lot of local history but my favourite thing is touring the old houses! It's so neat to see the layout of how homes looked decades ago along with how different the lifestyle was. We went when they did the Christmas decorations and it was fascinating!
Nice to see history preserved.
Weird. Very weird. It is an odd collection of old buildings and not much more. If you have a reason to visit a particular exhibit like the Candlelight Wedding Chapel because you were married there then go...but if you don't have a particular reason to go, put it at the bottom of your list.
Great to see the candle light wedding chapel from the Las Vegas strip has been preserved and moved here.
A great place to spend 3 or 4 hours to see everything!
Loved this place! Very interesting. It was cool seeing houses from different era's of Vegas.
Really enjoyed this museum! Lots of cool stuff to look at, especially liked the old houses built by various folks years ago. Some built by the government for military folks, some by mineral companies for employees.....old print shops, old chapel from Vegas, really cool things. You should give it a try!!
Loved it can't wait to go back
Our second time, so fun to walk thru
This was an enjoyable day with the kids. They have a scavenger hunt of sorts to find different items on the grounds, with a prize at the end — lots of good stuff for the kids to learn. A considerable part of this museum is outdoors, keep that in mind in the summer when it is hot.
This museum is so full of history. Heritage Street has 5 homes from different eras that have been moved to the museum and set up as if they were each still being lived in by the original owners. You get to walk through each house and step back in time. Each home is decorated for holidays according to the correct time frame they were built. A must see museum and grounds!
LOVE it here! The historical artifacts & the rich stories behind them are detailed, thorough and relevant. Never crowded, plenty of access to areas and I especially love being able to walk through the train cabooses and the staged houses.
Nice place, outdoor and indoor displays, can not bear $2 admission for adults!
Very interesting and neat things to learn about and see
We attended a field trip with my 3 rd grader. There tour guide was amazing! They are volunteers and make this place exciting for adults and children. There's a small street they have set up with old homes doing back to the 1930s. The history is fascinating there's trains, an old jail account with a plethora of other items. Inside, there's a display for the October 1st massacre that is tear inducing. Admission is inexpensive and it's perfect for the family. Bring walking shoes and a jacket during the winter and sunscreen during the summer.
I enjoyed all the exhibits of clark county history and the houses plus trains and cars were a plus all for 2 dollars
Best deal in Vegas highly recommend spent two hours there could have been there longer
Good place if you are interested in Nevada history. The old houses brought back memories of our parents' and grandparents' homes and their furnishings. Interesting commentaries in each building too!
The Clark County Museum is a great place to go for a few hours in your in the area. It's only $2 for adults and $1 for kids and 55+. It's half indoors and half out doors. A lot of the little homes you can go in have AC. The little gift shop has great prices plus the staff is real friendly. There is a lot of wild life to see rabbits, lizard, bird, and insects.
It's a unique layout of a neighborhood street lined with houses and a fantastic collection of home items covering many decades and interesting details about many of the items.
Great place to learn everything about Las Vegas and Clark County, NV history!!! Wonderful and very interesting exhibits!!
Very nice organized museum! We spent a couple of hours going through this and enjoyed every minute of it. I highly recommend!
Wonderful place to go if you like to know about the past of Nevada
This is one of the most outstanding museum I have been to. It is only $2 and there are discounts with free parking. Plan to stay several hours. There so many thing to see for all ages. You will not be disappointed.
Great place to take the family. The air conditioning in the old buildings what was a great surprise. It’s only $1 or $2 for admission so we will be back soon!
Definitely worth the trip! Inexpensive and fun!
Only a couple of dollars to enter, small indoor museum which is interesting then a whole walk of different buildings over different time periods. Suitable for all the family definitely worth a stop
So much fun and a lot more comprehensive than I would have imagined. The price is right too... just 2 bucks. They showcase a number of items that cover local history, gaming, the airport and the art and life of indigenous people.
Cute little museum we enjoyed our time there.
You just need to visit. Love it !!
It was very inexpensive $2 for an adult or $1 for senior. The staff was very good at giving you information and maps. Many outdoor exhibits are in the heat so go in the evening or in the cool weather.
Cannot beat admission price! Docents very smart! Big outside area and houses interesting to view.
Absolutely wonderful. A must see for local history buffs.. great for kids too.
Educationally and economically speaking, one of the best museums I have ever been to regarding the vast history of Las Vegas. A must-see! Folks, it doesn't get any better than this, please check it out! One other unique point of interest about this museum is that the administrator is Mark Hall-Patton, which has starred on the television show , Pawn Stars, numerous times.
It was really great. It took me back in time and reminded me of my Grandparents.
Super cool place. Very educational and fun at the same time.
The information looked up before the visit said nothing about pet friendly or not. Neither did the bldg that houses the gift shop. We have one service dog and one not. They wouldn't even let us go into the outdoor spaces, so hard to have an opinion about the actual place. We couldn't get in...
Went here with a friend and it was awesome! They have little houses you go into and each house is set up like some point in time. It's like walking through a time machine when you go through the doors. It's pretty cool. They have people dressed as they would've been back in their time.
Outstanding, very beautiful, & so much to learn, will be going back
I really liked the town setting outside the museum. Lots to see here. Worth a visit.
My son & I had a good time. He loved the homes thru time area & they brought back some memories for me.
Very cute. Informative... overseen by a man known as the "Beard of Knowledge" as seen on Pawn Stars. Often used as a movie set. We were there for the filming of a horror show coming out in 2018 called "A Psycho's Path".
Pleasant surprise We had time to kill and found this gem of a museum. Worth your time if you're interested in history of the area with great displays, old town with vintage homes, businesses, wedding chapel and old equipment. Cheap too! $2 per adult, $1 for seniors
Wish we had more time to really enjoy every lil thing! Come early in the day to explore out door attractions!!
Good experience about Las vegas history
Takes me way, way back. Very much an educational experience for the children.
Such a wonderful place to visit. The homes are historical and decorated very well for their time periods. Gives us a better understanding of the challenges people who settled here before us had. The museum is just so cute and it’s so much fun to take a trip down memory lane. This is one of our families favorite place to visit in Las Vegas ❤️ we also love the holidays when they put on special events
Excellent place go with the family
Tons of interesting exhibits. Entrance is super affordable. Lots of wildlife on the grounds, I've seen everything from roadrunners and hummingbirds to rabbits and a lone coyote. Also a great pokemon go destination. 4 gyms & 8 stops.
Really cool set-up with a ghost town and a 40's to 60's era homes and businesses. Beautifully done.
A wonderful experience. It's like walking back in time. The pricing is so cheap and well worth the price and time. A must see for Clark County and Henderson.
Excellent, excellent. Hidden gem. Price of admission is only $2.00 and free parking. You should plan on an all day visit. You should bring a lunch and wear comfortable walking shoes. The exhibits are amazing. You actually get to walk inside the period homes that are fully furnished, vehicles and even walk through a real train car. Mining and farming equipment are on a nature trail. The visitor center is amazing for its size. The variety of available literature and treasures is extensive and very reasonably priced. Very clean restrooms. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I have taken many of my out of town friends to visit there and they really enjoyed that museum.
The outside walking trails were closed due to excessive heat and another part was getting a new exhibit. Still a great place to stop and inexpensive.
It was like a step back into time.
Perfect for children, specially if they like or are curious about history
Very educational for those interested in Nevada history! Plan on at least 3-4 hours minimum..exhibit is quite large.
Friendly, fun, back to d past nostalgia moments yet embracing d time now.
Not very big and not so much info, but nice. $2.
Very interesting and affordable. It was like walking in the past when looking through the old houses. Worth the time to go to Henderson.
Hidden gem of history. Totally worth the $2 entrance fee to experience the past. Great place for photos too!
Fun museum for locals. Educational on our city/state/region's history. The kids had fun doing the scavenger hunt.
Was really fun to walk threw history
Awesome little muesem. Loved the old houses.
Ok good display
Great $2 visit!! Make sure you have time because there is a lot to see.
This place was super cool. We didn't get a chance to see it all bcz our lil ones got tired so we'll be going back.
It's a nice quiet place to walk around in and just relax.
Fabulous learning facility about the greater Las Vegas area's past. I highly recommend you visit. The cost of admission is so low its almost free. The authentic period style decorated homes is amazing, as is the original train depot.
A hidden gem in the desert! Packed with fascinating and interactive Vegas area history. I really enjoy the walk-through period homes and train depot. The wedding chapel boasts real pictures and certificates from ceremonies through the ages, definitely worth a look. So inexpensive and a nice way to spend a couple hours.
Historical place, very fun to visit
Well laid out place . Nice way to learn history of Nevada
The Clark County Heritage Museum is awesome! It is exactly like stepping back into the past. The main museum building gives you a timeline of events from early Southern Nevada inhabitants and habitat to modern times, including a brief forray into steamboats in the Colorado River. Outside there are train cars, a steam engine, and heritage street. This is one of the best parts. The street is lined with houses, each with it's own view of the history of Clark County and Las Vegas through the different time period of each house. There us also a revived ghost town, but we ran out of time to see it! There is so much to see here, so go early! The people here were awesome, and according to the website they will do tours. Better yet all 9f this is $2 per adult and $1 per child or senior.
Informative and a fun place to bring family and friends.
This place is pretty awesome for anyone to visit!
