REVIEWS OF Joslyn Art Museum IN Nebraska

Tyler Harms

Gorgeous architecture and lots of galleries to enjoy.

Tyler N Tarra Brandle

Relaxing and beautiful works of art. Although not much of it... we really enjoyed the glass art and the fountain. They have a great kids area where little ones can draw and create there own art. We will be back! Outside is great place for a picnic

Troy Fienhold-Haasis

Rude employees at front desk...supposed free admission, but when we had a group of 10 people walk in....they said we needed a prearranged time set up. We literally wanted 1 pic...but they wouldn't let us in. Needless to say...there are now 10 people posting negative reviews on social media!

Martin Frascone

Love this museum. It's really big, free, the building itself is pretty a sight. Definitely worth seeing some very skilled paintings

Miranda Fahrenbruch

Our first time here. Spent most of our time in the interactive kids/family area, and we're so glad! Wonderful, beautiful space with so many types of artistic expression. And I love that the walls leading to everything have art and information on them!

Todd Shackelford

I am not a museum person.... Yet, the Jocelyn Art Museum makes me want to return everytime I leave. Historic and relevant, the Joslyn is a perfect mix for all ages. If you get the chance, it is well worth the minimal effort.

Mj Matthews

The new exhibit 30 Americans is awesome and so inspiring! Everyone should go see it. I love that the Joslyn is now partnering with Inclusive Communities to host a Table Talk. Great discussuions.

Loved the self paced atmosphere and variety of art, something for everyone. Benches in a lot of places to rest to or to sit and look at the artwork. Tours available at specific times.

This is a gem of a museum. The impressionist room in the back corner is really quite remarkable. The modem art part was not that great, but then I have been to the Tate in London. But the other half of the museum is amazing for a place it's size. They have pieces that I wasn't expecting. Also, they have a really outstanding interactive children's area (you don't have to be a kid to enjoy it.) They also have an area with books and interactive backpacks that you can check out to really learn about at work your family or kids. I highly recommend this museum.

Jess Nicol

Always amazing exhibits here. If you love art you should visit. Haha!

Connie Cox

Amazing displays; Renoir, Monet etc. We specifically went for" the art of sitting," exposition. All about chairs. Very cool.

Chris Magana

If you like a free museum then this is it. They have medieval to modern. Asian to native American. Lots to see! The building it self is also impressive.

Stephen Brown

This museum is a delight to visit just to appreciate the large inventory of artwork here. The main exhibits are free for anyone, and there is an additional paid exhibit for whatever artwork is in for the month. Families, couples, or anyone who appreciates art would absolutely love this museum.

Bob Pelshaw

What a gift Joslyn is to Omaha. The art colection is world class! I held a dinner in the Storz Fountain Court and every detail was meticulously handled by professional and caring staff. I highly recommend and event be held there .

Rob Bradshaw

Love the collections at the Joslyn. Friendly, helpful staff. Make sure you see the central fountain, and brimg change for wishes. Would be a 5 star, but it does not really have much replay ability. Collections dont change.

ann geopforth

I want with my good friend who took his 18 month old daughter. There is so much for her to do and we enjoyed changing and doing the puzzles with her also. The art was beautiful the Christmas decorations are gorgeous.

David Cogar

Beautiful serene place if u love art

Holly Vinson

Took my 3 and 4 year old and they loved it. One been in 1 museum when I was young so I was a little lost going in. Could spend hours in the children's center. Definitely going back

Don sky Star sky

Great place to get inspiration for an artist. Feels like walking thru a timeline. Great place to have lunch as well. Free to the public.

Allison Gregg

An amazing museum a large rotating or travelling exhibit. They offer student discounts and have quite a few paintings by some of the most well known artists. The gift shop is great and allows you to buy prints of some of your favorite paintings.

Nina Smith-Nelson

Loved the 30 Americans exhibit. Beautiful atmosphere, great price for a great place of culture

Steven Sanchez

Beautiful, wonderful, beautiful people here. Making art with Cyrus was a highlight of my day. His affectious love of art!!! amazing glow on his face. Seeing art at all levels was like meeting a unicorn the first time. You walk around and look at the paintings and one will reach out to you. You will stand in awe ❤️.

Jorge Morales

Not only a great place to see some unique galleries or shows. Also a great place to relax and have some time to your self. Beautiful paintings amazing artworks. And if there is something you love you may find it at the gift shop. Or just spend hours walking surrounded by art and history.

Irving Gonzalez

The museum is great. It is spacious and art is spread out nicely. I like that it contains great lighting and attentive staff. It is not an all day place to go, so a couple hours shall suffice. It contains a great variety of American art work. The shop is nice and has some unique things.

Christina Weibel

Such a fun place to go! I had a great time and really enjoyed the artwork. They even have an area for kids to enjoy!

Aaron Vance

Very beautiful works of art and serene atmosphere

Shelly Dillon

Loved seeing the display of illustrator Garth Williams. Beautiful grounds to walk around.

Cambria Rosales

I always enjoy exploring museums in the area.and a friend told me about this one instead we should go I am so glad we went. the main attraction for the day was on chairs but it was still a beautiful collection, and all the art was just breathtaking and I was able to go from one side of the building to the other and not realize it until the end in which I was so sad. Joslyn art museum is beautiful and I recommend it to anyone both with family or just young adult wanting to enjoy themselves to go.

Graham E

Arguably the most beautiful building in the city and it's free. The addition of the children's maker space makes this an ideal location for cold or rainy days. In the summer, we love to look at the artwork and walk through the pool in front. I've also attended a wedding here that was lovely.

Susan Steenson

We went to see the exhibit on the St. John's bible. It was utterly amazing. The Joslyn is just a gem for the city of Omaha to have.

Matt Cooper

Beautiful exhibit, well worth the time to visit. Enjoyed the lay out and descriptions. Quite and minimal people which is the way I prefer it. Only negative is that we were approached by someone from a museum staff member who told us we were looking to closely at the painting, I understand but also we are regular visitors of galleries and this is the first time we have ever been 'scolded' for looking to closely

Amanda Miller

Wonderful museum. It had a good mix of classic and modern art. No matter your taste you will find at least one piece that makes your heart take flight Be sure to take the time to explore the statues outside. They are delightful and worth the time even on cold dreary days. We had a late lunch in the cafe. It was well prepared and the staff was delightful. I fell in love with a snow globe in the museum store. Sadly we could not take it on the plane. The store is shipping it to me for a very reasonable fee. I will update my review when it arrives in one piece. Overall I could not be happier with the service and care all the staff showed. I loved that the museum is free, but you would never know it based on the quality of service and variety of art present. We only spent 24 hours in Omaha and I'm thankful 3 of them were at the museum.

Lucas Young

Amazing art collection, beautiful museum, and free... The right price

James McIntyre

Absolutely gorgeous collection of pieces from a variety of eras and styles. Exhibits are laid out very cohesively and have thorough blurbs about each piece, making browsing a pleasure. Excellent way to spend a few hours for absolutely no admission fee.

Erin Browne

Wonderful place to use as a wedding venue. I went to a wedding there Saturday and it was beautiful!

Larry Denger

I came here this week and I have to admit, suffered from having low expectations for the Joslyn Museum. Isn't it great tho, when you are overly impressed with something your thought be be so average? The collections are great, rivaling anything you might find in Kansas City or Denver. Give yourself at least 2 hours here to appreciate the Renaissance Period pieces to modern art!

Nali Yan

There are amazing buildings and collection even though Nebraska is called the middle of nowhere. Especially, having Guido Reni's "David with the Head of Goliath, c. 1605" is unbelievable. The original building, Joslyn Memorial is made of pink marble and extremely beautiful and overwhelming. Additionally, restrooms are well cleaned.

Roland Montgomery

A lovely museum with distinct and well curated sections. Ranging from American Indian to Impressionist to children's books, the Joslyn Art Museum will have something for each guest. That is without including their special exhibitions often advertised. Even those that do not consider themselves an art buff. Classes for adults and children are offered in the lowest level. Live music and acts often showcase. There are also lectures halls for guest talks and special events. You will easily be able to spend a few hours here.

Tyler Graybill

Nice place to take the kids. Venue is pretty much free except the featured exhibit which is understandable. The art room fornthe kids is always a hit for pur children, wish they would chamge it up every once in awhile. This didn't happen the last time, but the time before, just because our 7 year old pointed at things the " security would follow us thinking he was touching things, which he wasn't. That is about the only thing I didn't like.

Jay Betts

Beautiful Museum with some amazing exhibits! Well curated exhibit space with a real Midwestern lens. Some regional culture doesn't always feel completely welcoming to diverse social groups but the space itself does well at overcoming the social barriers with a welcoming smile and knowledge staff

Jenn J

Beautiful museum with a very unique kids play room. Free admission is a plus! Great staff!

Rosanne Belpedio

Very nice display of art. Organized

Kevin Keller

What a great hub of culture right near downtown O. The people are friendly and welcoming with a cheerful spirit. The art is both moving and inspiring. I'm sad I didn't visit sooner and hope to return many more times. The facilities are clean and the building will organized. It's a good place to visit alone, with friends, or for the whole family. Enjoy!

Seth Springer

The pictures of this building don't do it justice. The architecture alone is a reason to go. There are plenty of exhibits to keep you there all day, but the layout also allows you to breeze through in a couple hours. Well worth the afternoon if you are in the area.

James Poulos

Beautiful museum that feels like the visitors are LOVED. Art is presented in a very comfortable environment and is easy to interact with. Beautiful collection overall as well as Degas, Rodin And others.

Dave Hokanson

A wonderful place to absorb some culture and/or just let go and let art lead you. And.. it's free!!!

susan seadon

This art museum is FREE! Not much is nowadays. Great standing art galleries and new shows several times annually. Good way to spend an afternoon.

Christopher Zook

Awesome place if you're in the metro area you have to go see this place!

Anel Rodriguez

Great Museum. Free admission and great place to take school aged children!

Jim Hickie

Very nice art museum. Not too big, easy to get in and out of, not crowded, and doesn't take all day to see everything. We truly enjoyed.

Nicole Gilmore

Small, but a great place to look at art!

Jill HH

Excellent museum with impressive collection--Rembrandt, Titian, Chihuly, Remington. Something for everyone. Art deco architecture and sculpture garden also impressive.

Heather Jordan

So much to see! So much to do! My 2-year-old spent a busy hour engaged in the fantastic art activities they offer, while the older children and other adults, in our party toured the museum. It's air conditioned, it's free, and it's fun. After we finished indoors, the children spent another half hour delightedly wading in the reflecting pool, while grownups enjoyed the nearby shade of an obliging tree.

Randall Smith

Fantastic architecture, housing an amazing permanent collection of fine and decorative arts along with a great series of internationally known traveling exhibits.

Fay Lee

Art museums are not typically something I seek out when exploring new cities so I don't have a great ability to compare. However, general admission to the Joslyn is FREE, so no excuse not check out this beautiful building. My most recent visit was triggered by the "Art of Seating" exhibit. The special exhibit did cost $10, but the kids were free. I really enjoyed seeing a variety of seating options from the past 200 years displayed. Plus, I love chairs, I am even sitting on one now!Beyond the rotation of special exhibits there are permanent galleries featuring artists from all over the world and different time periods. The Art Works room in the basement offered a variety of hands on art related activity spaces was a big hit with the kids too .

Jared Cummings

We had a great experience here. Absolutley beautiful building. The European art exhibits were pretty amazing. They also have American, Indian and Asian art exhibits that were all very good. Rotating exhibits come through as well. It is free so you should go check it out!

Jon J.

If you are interested in art, this is definitely a can't miss opportunity in Omaha. I have never been to such a robust and interesting gallery where 90% of the content is free to the public.

Margaret Haase

Staff was okay. Was with group and split off, other group was yelled at, not spoken too, for trying to look at detail. I understand the art is old and easily ruined by onlookers, but some aspiring artists seek the small details overlooked . The rest of the visit was amazing, and the art was authentic.

Patrick Miner

Took my class on a field trip here - was a great experience! Our docents were kind, respectful, and had many interesting things to tell us about.

Angelique Smith

Beautiful place and kid friendly

Mia Nguyen

I mainly liked the downstairs area. Where the eatery and drawing section is. It was fun made a few pics on my own and had some hung in the room

Nichole Evans

amazing. it was so peaceful, and the workers are very nice. if you're looking for a really inspiring way to spend the day, definitely go!

Chad Sideris

If I had to recommend one thing to do in Omaha, I would recommend visiting Joslyn Art Museum. Not only does it feature a few pieces from extemely noteable painters (Rembrandt and Monet), the very building the pieces are housed in is amazing. It's basically a giant, marble, art deco palace. I feel very fortunate to have this museum in our city and to be able to visit it whenever I want

CM RS

Beautiful art and building.

Seth Hartshorn

Was extremely impressed with this museum, one of the greatest collections I've seen that was free. Around 90% of the museum was free, all but one special exhibit - you'll be able to see some of the special exhibit from a distance anyway as it's right beside the modern art gallery. Will definitely be back several times and consider membership

nick miller

The museum is lovely and wonderfully staffed. The private receptions are top notch. The staff is warm and welcoming.

Patty Johnson

We enjoy looking at the art. My children like the backpack kits that help them explore the museum in different ways. We also enjoy the kids art area.

Mareaeric Campagna

My mother has been a member for 40 years plus. We frequent the little restaurant on the main floor. The food is always amazing and prepared before you. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Wedge Salad and had a fantastic Rainbow Cake following. We love to sit by windows. We always follow lunch a trip to their nice gift shop.

Todd Ramsdell

Great place. Relaxing experience

Lee Shontell

A place to go again and again, especially with children. Loved looking at the art pieces in every room, especially the painting that have the realistic and bold eyes. The kiddos will enjoy creating art and movies in the Creative Lab. A must visit in Omaha. No general admission price exspect for special exhibits but donations are appreciated.

Kayla J

Great place to spend the afternoon admiring and learning about art.

Minju Lee

The art was so cool!! I had a great time viewing the artworks and the architecture of the building was beautiful as well. The gift store is nice and pretty. The kid’s area was a pretty fun place to play around in.

Xavier Ringo

The Joslyn is a great place to walk around, spend time with family, and relax - all while enjoying a bunch of very cool art. Admission and parking are completely free of charge; occasionally there are special exhibits which require payment to see however. There are paintings and sculptures from a variety of renowned artists, new and old. Located right next to downtown Omaha, it's a great place to visit.

Andrew Reynolds

A great museum with plenty to see without paying for the exhibits that cost extra. Especially loved the kids area. Our 5 and 7 year olds had a GREAT time there!

Lindsey Mckee

Thanks Deb Sembeda is a great worker and she's a great friend.

buellrider76

Great museum that's ruined by the staff that follow you around and tell you to step back from the displays. I was telling my two sons about the art and pointing out details. A staff member approached and told me to step back because the camera angles looked like I was touching it. I apologized and we moved on. Less than 10 minutes later another staff approached us and told us not to "point" at the paintings because it could be taken as us trying to touch. Getting frustrated we moved on. The next room contained an amazing chest of drawers in figured walnut. I am a woodworker and excitedly began to point out details to my sons. For the third time a staff member approached and told me that I need to step back from the art. "You need to move back at least a foot...actually more like two feet. You need to maintain at least two feet from the displays". After that we just kinda walked through the rest and then left.

Sherri Jones

Great place to visit...I want to go back soon

John Bachhuber

Nice little museum. Appreciated the focus on art from the west and the building itself is worth a look.

Morgen Teal

From the traveling exhibit (30 Americans) to the building itself this museum breathes beauty. Take your time, enjoy the journey. The children's area is delightful as well!

Amy Upchurch

Omaha's premier art museum does not charge admission for visitors. It is a lovely large airy space with plenty of great options, including hands-on for preschoolers. Pop in and out for an hour to receive multiple personal benefits. Parking could not be any easier. Don't overlook this gem!

Susan Skinner

A beautiful building with great collection of art. I especially like the fountain area. There is an exterior display area. FREE inside and out, except for special installations.

Tom Negley

Enjoyable place for aspiring young artists or those who enjoy art. Especially the Artworks area where even grandparents can have fun too.

Daniel O'Keefe

This is a terrific art museum. It's open to the public too.

Jo Hasselman

So much great art, and free admission. Loved it.

Lindy Herbel

It's much bigger then I thought. The paintings are amazing. I like how it has all sorted by style of art. Very good experience.

Rome Cottrell

I went with my family to this museum and I was happy that I did , because I got to a exhibition of the 30 Americas which was rather educational . Also I seen other works of art there as well ! The museum is a good place to visit as a

Jennie Orr Thomas

Interesting exhibits, at least the part we could see after hours. There for a wedding. The acoustics were only fair in the courtyard for the ceremony, but atrium reception area and food were very nice.

Andrew Kon

Might have been a good museum but was not a fun experience. We have two kids 7 and 6 and trying to educate them on the art is part of the experience. We started at the kids section then tried to go and explore then were told by one of the art monitors that we needed to step further away from the art. We weren't that close but I guess their security cameras cannot see that. So we just stood further away and went along to the other rooms. Then we knew something was up when he passed us in another room, didnt make it to the end of his section and came back into the room we were in with other people and just stared at us. Not even 10 minutes into the exhibit and we felt unwelcomed so we left. Will not return, wanted to enjoy some art and culture of Omaha, but will not get the opportunity now.

Rebecca Gronseth

Amazing **free** destination in Omaha! (Some exhibits are an extra admission price.) There's so much to see in this beautiful museum. The building itself is gorgeous, and the artwork inside is priceless. Family friendly environment too! There's a kids' zone downstairs (Art Works) that has lots of fun activities for kids of all ages with special emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Children can paint digitally, make videos with tablets, build forts, create self portraits, build with blocks, read in the cozy book nook, make the special craft/art project for the season, and more. This is the perfect place for a rainy day, but don't forget to head back during the sunshine for a look at the impressive sculptures on the grounds.

Majdi Alkarute

Great chair exhibition going on right now

Emily McInerney

Beautiful art and facilities but the security staff is quite aggressive. If you want guests to stay a certain distance away I suggest indicating this in every single exhibit. Most adults do know how to respect art but this would be a good way to teach children and keep security from having to continually tell guests to stay away. It left a bad taste when a security guard followed us through over three exhibits even though we thought 3-5 feet away from the pieces was a respectable distance.

Sylvia Stevens

Beautiful grounds to walk on a nice day.

Peanut Butter Jellifish

I always enjoy myself here.

JP Griffin

The Joslyn is very nice. The collection its self is not extensive but it is well displayed and cared for. I went through the more classical half in about 45 minutes.

jackson nguyen

It was a great experience to just walk around and view art as well view the temporary exhibit that I had to do for a class

Caroline Everidge

An excellent selection of art and free to the public. The cafe also has amazing lunch options!

Sara Runstadler

Family wedding at this Impressive locale! Staff was great as was the food.

Ralph Granger

Plenty of extraordinary works to see, quiet, peaceful, no fee.

Eisotopish

Beautiful installation from the Joslyn family. Worth paying for their premium exhibit when you go there. They are non-profit if I remember correctly. Being an art museum the last time we went their premium exhibit was the art of seating. Truly amazing and would return to any other premiums based upon this one.

Suzanne E

From the Impressionists to Chihuly. Love visiting when I'm in town.

Jeri Shepard

Loved it, nice collection and the cafe had amazing salads

dutch wiering

Nice selection of Dutch paintings

David Diego Rodriguez

I loved the artwork! I also loved the indoor fountain in the center of the museum.

Sarah Mandy

They have a lot of variety in the range of kinds of art. They also have some beautiful architecture. There is a kids creative area, a concert hall, a dining area, and a gift shop (which also has a wide variety of things). It is two stories and it is FREE! (Also can you who is reading this like

Johnnye Gerhardt

I've been visiting the museum since I was in the third grade and had my work exhibited there. I wasn't aware it was there until the teacher took us on a field trip to the museum.

Chino Ortiz

Such a mesmerizing place and great art selection. We simply loved their design and selections of art. Kids even were able to be picassos in the kids art center.

Chunfen Zhou

Before you interact with a museum's contents, you first encounter their container. From the facade of the Memorial Building outside to the Fountain Court inside, Joslyn Art Museum keeps showing off how beautiful a container it has - a container of marbles. Impressively, the new Pavilion uses the same kind of marble and is seamlessly connected to the original building. Having seen such striking architecture, it is hard to not develop high expectations for the contents. How does the art resonate with the building? Honestly, I was not entirely satisfied: the collection here is not encyclopedic and is relatively small. However, it still shows some diversity, and for the areas it covers, the objects are generally of very good quality. There is no shortage of big names in galleries of European paintings, and Greek potteries and the Native American exhibition also have interesting works. This place is free, so you could come just to admire its architecture. Even though the permanent collection is not the most extensive, it is well worth seeing. Plus, interpretive labels are abundant and nicely written in general, which may add to your visiting experience.

Arthur Smith

Our visit to the Joslyn Memorial Art Museum was the highlight of our visit to Omaha. The building and the collection is lovely. The staff was very helpful as well.

Cynthia Whisennand

Wide variety of art from Medieval to Pop. A little native American, Greek, Chinese and Japanese also.

Martha J

Great variety of Art. My daughter absolutely LOVES this place...and its FREE! It's also nice that they offer classes to everyone to help find their passion for what kind of Art they may be interested in and/or to learn new Art techniques.

Tyler Korgol

Had a great time at the art museum. Kids are welcome especially on the lower floor. Great time and we enjoyed our time her.

Lacey Randall

We love exploring the grounds and creating in the kids space (ArtWorks).

April Freeman

Always has extraordinary special art exhibits - fiber sculpture or "Art of Seating" - very cool - Galaxy by Pollock is around the corner - 30 ft of Chihuly glass sculpture greets you at the door - just the depth of the pink marble walls will calm the soul - did you want lunch with that?....decent caterer in the sky light atrium - see photos - So, much beautiful artwork displayed. We had the honor of seeing an exhibit called "Sitting" It was just an exhibit that was for three days and it was on 200 years of different chairs.

Debby Leigh

Loved this place..has awesome artwork..the place is huge! And it's free!

Ben Brosnan

Thay would follow me around and tell me to keep a foot away from the paintings and after all that thay tell me to stop foging up the glass on the statues

Nick Waggamon

This place was the highlight of our trip! Stopped in when we had a few hours to kill and was blown away! What a great, diverse collection!! They have some incredible works by well known artists as well as some very amazing works by ones you've never heard of.

Phillip Smith

Surprisingly great collection! The building itself is impressive, the impressionist collection is astonishing!

Maria Andrade

The building from the inside is very nice. The art itself is interested but could not enjoy it because of the staff. We felt unwelcome and creeped out by the guy following us. The guy is an older is gentleman about 6 feet 260. He was wearing a suit and a name tag. We went there because my daughter loves art and insisted on going to the museum. We also took our four year old son. The kids didn’t touch anything. My son has a speech delay and he was making noises when the guy showed up. We went to other exhibitions and the guys was there staring at us like he wanted us to leave the museum. At one pint I walked towards him and he walked the opposite way. The visit was unpleasant. I felt frustrated, misjudge, and scared. It was an uncomfortable experience. I understand that the pieces are valuable and quiet adults are more welcomed. However, I believe that we need to teach children to love and appreciate art.

Kendall Myers

The building itself was stunning. I can't believe I had never been here. The art was a nice collection that took a good few hours but didn't feel like it was too big to see everything. Can't argue with the free price. We did pay for the current special exhibit, 30 Americans. Had some very nice pieces and was a great addition to the museum.

Jeremy Tutini

Great permanent collections and always a wonderful temporary collection going on.

Kevin Burr

Very nice museum, quality showing and a wide variety!!

Ricky Chang

Very nice and mostly free. The Asian collection is tiny though.

Vicki Eastman

Wonderful volunteers and staff. We have learned a lot since purchasing a membership. This gets us in free to all the exhibits and they are excellent.

Chelsea F

Majority of the museum is free to the public, which is a huge help to our large, art-loving family. My children love the interactive play room, and ask often to go back. Highly recommended!

Maria Corbin

Beautiful layout. There are beautiful pieces from all over the world, and a truly exceptional Native American collection.

Rick Keimig

Amazing art, St John's Bible

Joe Noga

Loved it here! Not over crowded, plenty of great art, excellent facilities! One word of caution: Do not get too close to the art! I was pointing out some details of one particular piece to my son and a security guard approached from out of no where and said I needed to step away from the art. I had not touched it and I did not intent to do so, but he said there is a room where people watch the cameras (which I hadn't noticed before he mentioned them) and they told him I was getting too close! I appreciated that! All in all, a fantastic experience! Highly recommended!

Shelley Aki

This is a great experience. They have good exhibits that come through and the art is awesome Plus the building is beautiful.

Awng Sut

This is my second favourite place in Omaha.

Taren Hollister

Beautiful displays and fantastic art. Also plesent and helpfull staff

Jennifer Whitenack

The whole family admired the beautiful art work on display. The blown glass exhibits are enormous! They are beautiful, eye catching pieces on both ends of the lobby. I loved the pottery collection as well. The boys thought the Art of Seating exhibit was interesting. Two thumbs up from the whole family.

Caleb Fili

Beautiful building with a wide variety of static and travelling displays. The event we were attending was in the auditorium which is exquisite. It's not usually open to the public so if you find an event using that space make sure to attend and check it out!

ter dust

Fantastic free entertainment! Plan on at least a half day visit. There's a lot to see and appreciate.

Tim Colling

Wonderful museum in a stunning Art Deco structure. A real feather here n Omaha’s cap.

Xiaohan Wang

Free is always good! Nice presentation here.

Kalab Olson

Lots of cool stuff.

Terri Terrifenno

Beautiful place. Went to a wedding reception here. Just a stunning venue.

Christeen Graff

Just one more reason i loved omaha !

Pd Mccarthy

Enjoyed chair exhibit. Not one of my favorite exhibitions but it was educational and informative. Definitely worth the time

Grandlord Kaching

Love this museum!!! Used to get over there all the time Last time I went I waved to my good buddy Randy In time I'm sure this museum will be good No alternative energy, I want oil Good job guys Or is it? I love this museum Love the museum I do not Most horrible museum I have ever seen Usually I don't go there Such a dirty, unclean, run down place Every time I go there, all I see is oil propaganda Unless something is changed, don't go here Museum is nothing compared to the first letter in each sentence

Heather Williams

Great art work. There is a need for more African art. We took a group of kids from church, just a little disappointed there was none for them to see.

Phillip Seidl

This is truly a gem... The museum itself is a work of art: Attractive, unique in style, and set in a peaceful lovely and inviting garden of sculpture and flora, like a diamond high up along Dodge street. You feel drawn in to see more. And you find yourself welcomed upon entry. There is plenty to see but not to the point of overload. Very enjoyable and eye- opening!

Christina Whalen

Super easy to navigate, very educational displays and very beautiful artwork. It is smaller than other art museums but all the workers seemed judgemental and hovered around everyone in exhibits which was uncomfortable.

We love this place every time we visit. The traveling exhibits are always interesting. Three entire place is amazing.

Very nice art museum. Mostly free, only one exhibition that requires a fee, basically to sponsor it. The fee was $10 and was worth every penny.

Martha Portillo

Excellent to go spend a really good time

The museum is a great place to learn, think, and experience a different reality!

Loved Monet, Mary Cassett, Chihuhly.

This is actually a pretty decent art museum, and the admission is free! There are a couple of Monet's and a Rembrandt. Some of the works are replicas as you would expect. They have an area for children and genuinely want to encourage the arts in the next generation.

MAGICAL!!! Maybe it’s because this is the only museum I’ve been to but hit dayum did they leave an impression.
