There are a variety of interesting stories and artifacts on display. The quality of the display vary, but generally it's worth stopping in if it's on your way. I'm not sure it would be worth going out of the way for depending on how relevant the subject is to you.

No “museum” here. But a wonderful piece of American history. Most emigrants noted this place in diaries. The ruts cut so deep as to create a ravine. Captures the imagination.
