Beautiful gardens. Very peaceful. Rarely crowded.
Awesome tour. Learned a lot.
Excellent tour. Very interesting mansion.
Very interesting history. Great artifacts. Takes you back in time.
Historical landmark
Interesting look at local history
We had a private tour that was very well done and thorough. Super cool house with most original furnishings still in place.
Nice tour and history.
Great tour and a nice experience to see
Ive been here numerous times for different events and tours. I love the wealth of knowledge the staff has to share. Dont forget to pet the house cat Sweetiepie.
Excellent guided tour!
Unexpected find in Montana. Really good tour
Safe bet for tourists.
A gem in Kalispell! I always go back every time I'm there. Must do a tour of the mansion, it's beautiful and fascinating.
(Translated by Google) No visit because too expensive (Original) Pas fait la visite car trop cher
Great history and beautiful home
Very informative. Little crowded so we didn't hear much of the stories.
My third visit. What a fascinating place!
Very educational about the founder of Kalispel Montana
Such a beautiful place.
Great place of history for the small town of Kalispell Montana
We were a bit late for the last tour of the day but they still accommodated us. Alex our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the house, the people and the way of living. Could not have asked for a better experience. Enjoyed the tour immensely!
Beautiful. Came here and took pictures after my husband and I were married. I was super appreciative that they allow random people on the premises to take pictures. Its hard to come by these days.
Beautiful place for an afternoon visit. The garden is lovely and the mansion has that je ne sais quoi that brings you nostalgia and wonderment.
A wonderful place for a family afternoon activity. The place looks just as it did when I first toured 15 years ago. Definitely worth admission price.
Very interesting, great old historical mansion to tour!
Very informative tour. Lasted an hour and a half. The docent was very entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. Learn about the house, family, and beginning years of the flathead valley. No pictures allowed inside, but the gardens were impressive. Bathrooms across the street were closed. None at the mansion.
Very beautiful, a lot of history.. a definite must see. Yes, it's haunted! Had a paranormal experience in the kitchen!!
Wonderful old mansion. A must see.
Cool mansion worth touring. Pictures are not allowed inside the house.
Always a good time !
Beautiful home and very interesting tour
Love this place, a wonderful way to learn the history of Kalispell.
Conrad Mansion is amazing.
A wonderful old building with a ton of history. A must see if possible.
July 4th, come to the ice cream social.
Amazing Christmas Tour. Loved all the history.
House is beautiful. The history of the family was fascinating and our young tour guide was engaging.
It was so much fun! The architecture and attention to detail was overwhelming. Beautiful!
Love this place! Absolutely beautiful!
Interesting recount of the Conrad's family history and very cool house
This is a lovely old home and surrounding gardens that are a delight to tour. Most of the furnishings are from the Conrad family, which adds to the charm.
Informative tour. Beautifully appointed home in great condition. Excellent impromptu stop on our way through town.
Very nice tour of a beautiful, historic home.
Awesome place, great history of Kalispel.
Visiting the area from Ohio and saw this place as a local historical place. If you are interested in the history of Kalispell, please visit. Learn the interesting story behind one of the founding members of the area, complete with authentic furnishings just as it was when the home was built. The tour guide was wonderful, had not only lots of information but anecdotes of the family and a genuine interest in the family and museum.
Loved the story and that the great grand daughter was a hoarder. Which is the reason there is so much history in the house.
We stopped by for a visit, walked around in the newly refurbished gardens, which looked beautiful. Unfortunately, it was 1:15 pm and the tours of the mansion started on the hour, every hour. Seniors were charged $15.00 per person which seems a bit expensive. Anyway, we left to have lunch rather than waiting for 45 minutes.
This home of Charlles Conrad is beautiful and full of history. The tour will provide you with a fair amount of local history and a view of how the wealthy lived when the Kalispell area arrived was developed initially.
Have been there twice. Would love to go Christmas time and Halloween. Just love this place
Really are passionate about local history and glad to share with you and answer all your questions!!!
Wow!! Amazing place to visit, gem from the history..
This place was really cool. Wish we could have taken a couple of pictures.
You will remember a guided tour through the Conrad Mansion for the rest of your life. Being born here, I revisit every couple of years and always learn more of our history as a town, the promise of success, the pain of loss, and the redemption of a dynasty.
Very cool place, Christmas decorations we're great, and the music choir was wonderful
Really enjoyable, interesting guide, could have done with a more detailed visit, lots of original artifacts.
Beautiful place. Great informational tour.
Great tour learned a lot.
Not wheelchair or disabled friendly at all. Lots of stairs - incl to get in the mansion. If u have a disability this is not ur place. Looks nice but staff didn't tell me when I paid entry that I couldn't take photos. Seems very money hungry. I went to the castello di miramare in Trieste, Italy which is a lot nicer then this and they let u take photos. Also saw people using their phones taking pics. I guess bc I had a camera they noticed me, but if they don't notice you it's ok?
Went when I was a kid a lot. The candy store is amazing.
Very interesting, but be warned with kids. They may not find it interesting
Best place in kalispell for a history tour
I expected to enjoy my visit as I love museums. What you were allowed to look at was appropriate to the period and well displayed. The docent however was quite rude, and actually put hands on me twice. I would hesitate to recommend this museum and would instead recommend the drive to Bozeman and the Tinsley House at the Museum of the Rockies. It is a living history farm and an absolute delight. The is also the bonus of the Natural History Museum with the dinosaur bones and wonderful exhibits.
Very nice tour of a restored mansion
Nice look into the past.
Wonderful, historic, excellent story telling guides. Great events happen there.
15 per adult and 8 per kid. Forget about it.
Great tour, fun place to visit.
We went to the mansion for the "Haunted ghost tour" all it was was a run of the mill Halloween fun house. I've noticed that most of the excellent reviews are coming from the people who went during their normal operational hours. I will say that when I was a kid we had a field trip to the Conrad mansion and it was exciting to see the house in the light of day. I think the next time they put on a farce such as this they should call it. The Conrad mansion haunted fun house.
Excellent tour guide and tour! Definitely worth a stop.
I found the tour very informative and very interesting. Great job!!
The tour is amazing I recommend it to everyone.
Haunted tour very rushed and disappointing. An hour tour was only 30 min
(Translated by Google) Amazing museum! great experience. Good quality training (Original) מוזיאון מדהים! חוויה נהדרת. הדרכה טובה ואיכותית
Great presentation, lots of history, a must go special place!
Each time, I learn more about the home of one of the most prominent families that ever lived in the Flathead Valley. Found out that my grandparents lived in a home only 1 block south from the Conrad Mansion. Also, listed in the historic directory of Kalispell. However, did not learn this bit of information until I was an adult. Plus, saw "Lucky" the cat each time. Followed us all the way around the grounds.
Visited on the 4th of July. Wonderful community event. Music, icecream and self guided tour of the beautiful home. I loved learning about Mr. Conrad and his family. If you come to Kalispell it is a must see.
Great staff and great tour
Great tour, learn something new every time
Beautiful house, love the history
Beautiful home, rich history, intetesting family, great tour guide!
Love Montana history!
It was a very interesting part of history. Fun to do if you enjoy that.
Have attended the Death by Chocolate fund raiser several time. So much fun, very well done production!
Conrad Mansion is,beautiful! The antiques alone are something to make you stop & think about how easy we have it today. Chamber pots, wood heated system to dry clothing, a food processor you had to spin yourself. Amazing. The 3rd floor is my favorite. Although it is said to have some spirit activity inside, I have never experienced it. A member within my party as well as another guest though were fortunate enough to catch a glimpse. The tour guide Sharon, confirmed the experience for my party and said many people see it as well as all of the staff members running the home. A very interesting piece of Montana history to go and learn about.
Great historical tour, worth the money.
Beautiful place to visit and learn the history of the mansion. Tour guides were very knowledgable and friendly. Not sure why the website hasn't been updated since 1996 though. Hard to look at and navigate.
This is an excellent tour. Things we really enjoyed: 1) The staff was amazing. Our guide was very personal, full of knowledge, related information well and made you feel like you were getting an “inside” tour. She was wonderful with our kids (8 and 10), and even let them into some of the rooms the adults were kept out of (so thankful they didn’t break anything). It was mainly enjoyable because our guide was so good. She was on her last week giving tours, and we felt very lucky to have been with her as she closes out this chapter of her life. 2) The rooms are decorated with the original decor. The family managed to keep nearly all the original furnishings and decor, and so walking through the house really does feel like stepping into a different era. I’ve been on other tours where many furnishings are staged, but this is all real and very authentic. 3) The amenities in the house are fascinating. Many things were way ahead of their time. Without spoiling all that the house contains, I think you will be impressed with how “modern” many of the gadgets are. 4) The story of the Conrad family is very interesting. The story progresses as you go from room to room, and it keeps you engaged the whole time. 5) The house is beautiful. This probably goes without saying, but it’s a wonderful house to view. Highly recommend this tour. For the price, it is well worth it.
Our tout guide was very interesting and knowledgeable
It was closed (Monday) when I went so I just walked around the garden.
With tours on the hour. Explaining the history of Robert Conrad. One of founding fathers of the Flathead valley. Interesting, informative, and presented in a way that piques interest. (Far less dry than I thought it would be)
What a treasure! Kalispell is so blessed to have the Mansion. We had a wonderful tour by the best tour guide, Sharon!
Very disappointed with the ghost tour...paid $40 to walk through a completely dark house, not able to see any of the items in the rooms or ability to appreciate the history of the home. It was only 30 mins and you're forced through each dark room quickly while being forced to hear scripted ghost stories that come across as cheesy as the costumes. Wouldn't recommend it..and honestly I want a refund.
Don't let the outside fool you, beautiful interior.
Always a great place to go and see, inside and out. Oh and they say it is haunted also.
Don't leave town without seeing
Cool little place for a history lesson! Would recommend to a group of people!
If you want to find out the history of Kalispell, one should go on a tour of this home. This home features about 90% of it original furniture. It's a great walk into the past.
A beautiful piece of history...and the stained glass ❤️❤️❤️
The Mansion has an ice cream social each 4th of July. The children have great to play on and a band plays John Phillips Souza-type Patriot music. Very family friendly, a good time for young and old. Who doesn't love free ice cream after the parade on main Street in Kalispell?
I wish I would of left the kids at home. It is beautiful but pretty pricey.
The Conrad mansion and its Museum are a historic site in the Kalispell area that should be visited if you're from out of the area and certainly can be enjoyed by locals to the host several events throughout the year especially around Christmas and holidays it's fun to see an older part of the town that once housed one of the wealthier founders of the city it has a nice garden and flower area outside where couples sometimes like to take photos and has a nice gazebo and seating area as well
Beautiful history
Really interesting and well done your. Beautiful house and grounds.
Fascinating place to visit. Beautiful in the summer.
Very interesting and great tour guide!
Today we had the pleasure of having our tour of the mansion guided by Cindy. Over the years my family has attended many guided tours across the country and Cindy is by far the best tour guide my family has ever had. She had emense knowledge of the house and prior owners. My daughter Lacie especially enjoyed her time there!! Thank you Cindy for the awesome experience. Your the best!!!
This is a really great tour! The 1895 home is beautifully restored and contains a lot of innovative features for that time period. House tours are generally not my favorite type of tour, but the guide tells a compelling story while showing the features of this grand home.
Great time. Informative and unique view of the history and life of the times.
Pretty on the outside, didn't get to take the tour
Just unbelievable! Surreal...to step into the very house that still has working original thomas edison light bulbs (123yrs) and original 1895 toilet paper with the other antique home furnishings and things. Words cannot describe the experience. You stand in the rooms and imagine how the family lived. DEFINITE Must see!
Beautiful place
Our visit was wonderful! The docent (Genny) was pleasant and informative. I would highly recommend anyone going to visit.
My grandmother new the last surviving, who gave me a doll from her collection. Children from the Neiborhood had to play in the basement not attic. Attic was for the owners only. Fact, I tried to share this information & they dismissed me
Well done, historic, a real part of the West's story.
Awesome place. Our 14 year old was so smart and sweet
Fantastic house tour! You've done a great job at preserving such a beautiful home and it's history! Enjoyed the tour and all the secret backrooms, basement and attic. Great job, we will be back.
The house was 95 percent original furnishings and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the family and the time the house was built
As a history buff I LOVE the Mansion. It’s unreal to think that Teddy Roosevelt himself stayed in the Conrad Mansion all those years ago. The tour is incredible and the staff is friendly. I’ve been many times and it never gets boring. When the tour is over go enjoy the grounds which are kept beautiful.
Very interesting. House well preserved
Interesting tour of a 120 year old home. Highlights include Thomas Edison bulbs that still work, a huge custom stove from France, first generation laundry and dish washing machines, ect. My favorite was the three season growing room with a little stream and plants. The house was restored with nearly everything original from the home. I have toured several historical homes and this tour was the most informative at almost 2 hours long. It was $15 a person. No photography allowed, which seemed ironic since there was a cat living in the house.
My baby started crying so I took him outside while the rest of the family finished the tour.... They let me go on the next tour while my husband watched the baby....
This is a great tour with interesting facts given by a very informative guide.
Went on the ghost tour with my mom, it was amazing! And I can't wait to go on more tours!
I love historic places. And this is one of my favorite places, I go every year to.
Beautiful place with tons of interesting history. A very advanced home for its time. Tour guides were very informative and really brought the home to life. Would gladly go again.
Historical site well worth seeing
very unique property...
One of the coolest experiences I had on my trip. Definitely would recommend!
The Christmas tour was wonderful!
Just wonderful!
Very nice tour. Our guide was knowledgable and very friendly. Gardens are beautiful. This was a nice way to take a break from hiking the mountains and have a low key day in Kalispell.
Outstanding visit. Housemaster was so informative, friendly, helpful. She was such a delight and made my day! Excited for the death by chocolate evening!! Conrad Mansion should be proud to have such an asset working in the home.
Beautiful inside and out...tour the gardens as well as the house...
