REVIEWS OF Saint Louis Science Center IN Missouri

Lexie Hamilton-Stallman

Great experience, some of our favs were constellation show ($), Pompeii exhibit ($) and the oldie video games! Great place to spend the day. We HIGHLY recommend a snack in the beautiful outdoor GROW area!!

Ramsey Sutter

We saw the Pompeii exhibit. It was such a privilege to get the opportunity to see these artifacts. Absolutely fascinating.

Shane

One of our stops before we head back east, the Saint Louis science center is just a wonderful place to be. When we were there they had a video game exhibit and a Maker exhibit that had the whole family into something. The kids love the food court with the giant hamster wheel for kids of all ages to burn that extra energy. There is so much visual things to engage with and learn. Major plus besides all the interactive exhibits is the live science experiment show and dinosaur experience the kids will love. They also added a new outdoor conservation experience too. I recommend finding parking on the park side and walking across the indoor bridge so you can experience the space exhibit which I should have led with. All in all, you cannot visit St. Louis without stopping by this wonderful center!

Shandi Greve Penrod

Amazing place with lots of activities for kids. It's also interesting for adults without kids to walk around. Adults will especially like the IMAX films and the planetarium, though there are also some great planetarium shows for kids. The newer outdoor area is really interesting for adults and older kids and has a water play area for kids.

Maria Silva

Wonderful fun for the whole family! For older folks, you have history, artifacts & art. For young kids, you have interactive games, dinosaurs & space. For everyone, there is a movie & at the moment a Pompeii exhibit! I recommend to anyone that is in St. Louis for the weekend to stop by. You might spend 4 - 6 hours of fun here!

Jordan Bross

The Pompeii exhibit was really powerful and worth the money. I also enjoyed the gaming exhibit (free with entry). Most of the exhibits besides Pompeii seemed to be skewed to a younger audience, but humble adults can still learn a thing or two!

Seth Allen

(please read about the theater being closed) Don't even get me started. I love this place. From childhood to adulthood.. I go every time I'm in the St.louis area. While yes this is aimed at children, there is still plenty of interesting and fun things to learn and do as a teenager or adult! There is also a IMAX theater (currently closed until fall of 2019 - essentially closed for this summer + some of fall) The planetarium is a must see. It is surreal and you can learn a lot .. as a child or adult!

Rachel I

This science center was designed so well. It's amazing! There are so many different rooms and exhibits. We loved the room for kids to explore and the space exhibits. The game room was amazing! It showcased many different games and systems. There are food options and bathrooms spread throughout the museum. The parking is free for members. Easy drop off and pickup lane.

Ted Gast

Premier science center see real early space capsules. Replica Mars Rover. Dinosaurs. Always free. Great for kids.

Joshua Comeau

Absolutely fantastic. Many and varied exhibits across a range of sciences. Everything is well-labeled and accessible; my one-year-old was enthralled! Can't believe this quality is free! Highly recommended.

Judy Ann

We finally got there to see the Pompey exhibit. It was EXCELLENT as are all exhibits at the Science Center. The exhibit was well organized and educational. Highly recommend seeing it .

Chip Fox

Great place for curious kids. Lots of interactive and hands on type activities. Most activities are free. Helpful and friendly staff. Can be crowded but generally pretty easy to get around.

Rob Roudebush

Really enjoyed the science center. This is an amazing place to be ae to experience for free. I recommend anyone who has an interest in science to experience. Thanks St. Louis.

Dwaine Mcdonald

Great place to visit. Went abscesses the Pompeii exhibit. Was amazing. Great time.

Paranormal Society

Amazing place. You can even save on parking by the planetarium. It is free but it well worth seeing it from the other side. The staff is super helpful and there is a lot of things for the kids to see. Well worth a visit.

Maeghan Kidd

Free to get in.... parking costs but if you know your way around you can find free places to park....the only thing I didnt like is that there were high pitched kids screaming everywhere and with the high ceiling those screams echo so loudly... but what can you expect...its a children's science center

Nik Melchior

It's two science museums in one. The old museum and planetarium connects to the new facility by a bridge over the highway. They have great, well-maintained, interactive exhibits from dinosaurs to energy use and conservation, to space travel and rovers. The Discovery Room costs a bit extra for similar interactive exhibits for younger children, but the smaller crowd leads to less competition for access.

Meghan Stone

Lots of interactive exhibits for all. My teenager, who is a self described "science nerd", loved it! Wish we had planned more tine in order to see the limited time exhibit "Pompeii". Plan to spend several hours if you want to go to the regular and special exhibits!!

Darth Rater

The Saint Louis Science Center is an extremely cool place to visit no matter what age you are. They excel at making learning fun and exciting. Admission is always free, but they do offer some attractions which have a small fee. I have found every one of them to be worth the price of the ticket. You must check out the Simulators and the IMAX Theater. Constantly changing, growing and evolving, you will find every visit is different from the last. ** This review has been viewed almost 500 times in one week. Absolutely love coming here. As kid I was so amazed at this place and now as a adult I am amazed. It just keeps getting better

Michelle F

The St. Louis Science Center was a great place to go. We went for the Pompeii exhibit and loved it. They did such a great job of telling the story of Pompeii from culture, daily life and history. The visuals and artifacts were all amazing. Well worth the fee to enter the exhibit as artifacts are on loan from Naples, Italy. We did see some other parts of the building that were geared more for kids. Its right off the freeway and parking was easy to get in and out. Fun place to bring your kids As they did have activities for all ages. You can spend at least half a day going through the other things on display.

Bruna Picker

A super cool place. Get ready to be there for hours and hours. Lots of stuff to do and they always work hard to add new things.

Braxton patton

Wonderful place to visit & doesn't cost a fee to get inside.

Teresa Epley

It was fun. We got to see a lot of cool stuff. My 2 year son love Animatronic dinosaurs.

Edwin Grider

I've always loved visiting the science center ever since I was a kid! There's something here for anyone of all ages. The various special exhibitions will keep you coming back for more. This FREE family attraction is definitely well worth a visit!

Geoffrey M

We had a blast. The new gaming exhibition was great. I even let the kiddo beat me at Street Fighter. It was a little crowded with school groups but otherwise a great visit. Definitely check out one of the live science demonstrations!

Mom Madi Mitchell

Great fun, educational and clean!! The clean part I thought was remarkable because there were so many people. There are numerous interactive family games. Our favorites were the giant games and gravity blocks/bridge. We thoroughly enjoyed the huge range from artifacts to agriculture.

Jericah Hedberg

Our kids had a blast! We loved the hands on education, and so did the kids! The kids didn't want to leave. We'll be back!

Heather Seger

Great place to take kids (and adults) of all ages. Interactive and educational. Been going since i was a little girl and now i get to bring my daughter.

Ernest Messex

We head a great family time, learning and exploring the exhibits. My daughter loves the dinosaurs and my son loves the planets. It didn't hurt that they were doing a stranger things scavenger hunt night. Really is nice to have something this great this close to us.

Cara Hoffmeister

Love this place. Great time with kids and it's free.. Can't beat that!

Gatoleen

Awesome, awesome, and awesome place. All ages will enjoy every inch. My fav spot is the outdoor area with the cute chickens!

Cocoa Cherise

I went to see the Pompeii exhibit and it was absolutely beautiful. I recommend for anyone that loves history.

Archie Collins

This science center was designed so well. It's amazing! . The parking is free for members. I like this place

Ryan Whittington

My kids never stop asking to go back and see "their dinosaurs". Fantastic and fun place to spend a couple hours at. And it's FREE! You can try your luck and park at the Planetarium in Forest Park (for free but very limited spots) and take the tunnel / bridge to the main location. Be sure to check out the Grow area outside with the combine and chickens!

Rachel Steenberg

Live the science center. Always fun to go to, and admission is free. Parking is not. They also have exhibits that cost extra, but have always been worth the money.

Thomas Eier

The exhibits are top drawer.I saw the Pompeii exhibit very interesting part of MOTHER EARTH and a volcano

Susana Haywood

Excellent! Spent 3 hrs there, could have easily spent 2 more hours.

Greta Mcglawn

The science center is fun and educational. Great for young children aswell as other activities for older kids. There are also many options for adults.

Gary Waters

Special exhibits are great. Most standing exhibits are very good to excellent, but a few are subpar.

Raquel Jefferson

We came here from Chicago and had a great time! We seen some star show, honestly the guy talked WAY too much and it was boring to the kids. The whole rest of the center was great. The kids loved all the hands on areas.

Katie Osburn

I wish I had gone to the Pompeii exhibit sooner. I would go over and over again if I could. What a wonderful exhibit. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. There were so many different kinds of rooms also. I loved the planetarium and the game room. I got to play Sonic the hedgehog!!!!

Matthew P.

Wow! Really loved this place. The current gamer exhibit is amazing. We spend so much time playing 8 player foosball.

ed stuertz

I took my granddaughter to the Science Center. She love Rockets. The Apollo display was awesome. They have many great games to help the kids expand their minds

Jonathan Sandidge

Lots of Exciting things for younger children to touch and interact with. The coolest part was the Flight simulator for the older kids! Will return!

Michael Hardy Sr

Enjoyed this place again! When we was there it was packed with end of the year field trips! The south lower side was turned into a food court.

D Smith-Mutegi

Great museum with so much to do. It was the perfect place for my preschool-aged son. We will be back!

Brandon Yazzie

Great place. I was here for a conference but didn't get a chance to look around. Seemed like you could spend all day here.

monet snead

After an experience at a science center in Madrid, I really wasn't interested but we went and it was so fun! Interactive and visually entertaining. Great place for kids and adults.

Rainbow Bright

Had a amazing time. We took my son here for his birthday and he rode the aviation ride that turns upside down and all around. He told me this was the best birthday he has ever had at 16 years old.

Heather van Saase

I've loved the science center since I was a child myself! Free to enter! You could spend all day there! Great fun and learning!

Casey Stuck

Went for the Pompeii exhibit and stayed to play with everything else. I was always a kid who needed to touch everything in every place my parents took me. This was perfect.

Geoffrey couch

A great educational place for the whole family there IMAX films are the best my favorites were Australia and The blue Angels absolutely have to see them fantastic

Ron Brown

Much more commercialized than it used to be, but still entertaining. First Fridays is great.

Brittany Johnson

Great for kids. Awesome that it is free. Definitely brings more people in. Good for any age really but better for kids

robert hartman

This place just gets better all the time. The pompei experience was well worth the trip. Very awesome experience. They have added cool games recently. Loved it.

Irene Kinzer

So much to see and do! Went for the special exhibit on Pompeii and enjoyed it very much! Special exhibits on the moon walk were also present and very informative.

Kristen G

Always a good time here. Love taking my nieces or just going with friends. They made some major improvements since last time I went.

Melissa S

A very cool place. Lots of things to do for all ages. My personal favorite part was the gaming area. Many retro games, a little blast from the past. Admission was free. I do wish there was more of a selection in the souvenirs section in regards to sweaters. Most items seem very child directed, which I understand, but adult visitors do join. I recommend this place from families with children and a free day. Could keep the kids busy all day!

Adam Gerstner

Kids and adults love it! Been coming here all my life and they keep improving it. The games area was particularly fun.

Courtney Neal

The science center is an amazing way to spend the day! Very clean facility and friendly staff! Their menu is affordable, and offers a gluten free crust.

Dustin Allen

Awesome place! Loved it as a child and now loving it as an adult. If you get a chance to visit the Pompeii exhibit I highly reccomend it!

Ciara Harmon

In need of an adventure with our toddler, the St. Louis Science Center hit all the marks! Perfect for hands on little ones (like mine) or the most reserved little learners! Educational fun for the entire family, plus it is free to explore which being on a budget is great for my little family! 4.5 ⭐ is my true rating, as there was some trash scattered here and there, but I would not go as far to say it was trashy, if you feel me. Overall great visit!

Corbin Miller

$0 to enter and do most activities. I used to come here every few years and it's pretty cool. Definitely worth a stop if you have never been.

Sonna Egbers

Lots to do and see here. Here's why it didn't get a 5 star: Many of the exhibits were not working. I was uber excited to see the Pompeii exhibit. I never thought I'd see the castings on real life. That was incredible. I was disappointed that so much of the story was left out.

Libby Danes

There is always something different here but even the main staples are wonderful to come back to. There always seems to be something I missed seeing last time!

Tara Burleson

I love going to the science center. However, they work hard to give us new things, but tend to neglect to keep their long term items working properly. For instance, the whisper thing outside is broken. The roller coaster thing in the energy thing does not work properly. Also, the earthquake feeling thing has not worked for a long time.

Lisa Wampler

Great exhibits. Very interactive. Definitely visit if you are in the area. And kids will definitely love it and learn various things.

John Fridley

Friendly people, good displays that are well organized and changed regularly. Going back in late Nov to visit the OMNIMAX Theater when it reopens.

Megan Miller

The science center is a great place to learn and discover with your kids. Everything is interactive and fun. It always seems to be clean. Most of it is free, including some of the shows! The paid exhibits and shows are high quality, like the "live sky tonight" and the temporary exhibition on Pompeii. Pompeii is definitely a chilling experience and they have actual artifacts and casts from the archeological cite. I'd say not great for young kids but a powerful experience for me as an adult, and probably older kids too.

Rory Keylon

This is such a fun day. So many great things to do to keep young and old busy for hours. We loved the Imax theater and can't wait to go back. Although, we did feel like we were watching a tennis match. The window walk over the highway is fun too. Lots and lots to do in this neighborhood.

Anita Calorio

This is an amazing museum. To top it off it is free!! Free!! There are adventurous simulators with its unique experience. There are interactive games activities which is a fun for all ages. There are also various interesting exhibits. I would absolutely recommend this museum when visiting St Louis Missouri.

Nightmare Actual

It was alright. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't the best. Definitely more kid oriented and the exhibits were scattered all over the place couldn't really go or find everything in that museum unless you wander around for hours. Great place for the family and again KIDS Saturdays are really packed too.

carol green

Science Center is always a great place to visit and take the kids. Current exhibit on Pompeii - not to be missed! Highly recommend.

Susan Rushing

Great museum! So many hands-on experiences! Great exhibits and attractions! My son didn't want to leave! We can't wait to come back?

Mathew Brachmanis

Very informative a nd hands on experience. After 4hrs only expounded pay of the center. Will be back. Loved the lunar landing and space exhibit. Little and big Kids absolutely loved it!

lois denny

A wonderful place for children and adults alike to learn new things and enjoy science. The Omnimax theatre is so enjoyable. We always have a great time while learning something new. Work the time. If you want to park close in the lot its $10. Otherwise you have to find street parking but, ita so worth it!

Lisa Marie Idzikowski

Very hands on. Good explanations for things followed by a try it out experiments that everyone in our family liked. And who doesn't like free! But park at the planetarium for free and walk across the freeway in the bridge that connects the two, you will save $10

Keith Wilcox

Was very educational. My kids learned a lot on their home school trip.

Tom Cohee

The exhibit itself was nice but the 4d movie they are advertising was a total lie, jokes and ripoff. It's not a movie it's a bad animation. Just just stand in a small room and watch it with some wind blow on you.

Jennifer Phelan

We love The St. Louis Science Center. So much to do and see and participate in. They change out exhibits often enough to make you want to keep going back. Free parking in Forest Park near the Planetarium entrance, but only $10 to park on the Science Center side. Reasonably priced snacks/drinks for a museum too. A great place for both kids and adults. Highly recommend!

Echo Kimball

So much fun! My little man is only 6 months but still loves looking around at everything! I can't wait till he gets a little older and can play with more of the interactive things.

Ben Smith

I found the chickens! The entry is free, but pay for parking. Be a mindful guest and don't spend your time looking for street parking. We came to see the Pompeii exhibit, and it was neat. Only thing missing was (that) photo of a victim; you know which one I mean.

Erin Metz

I was so impressed with the items at the Pompeii exhibit. It was a great learning experience. A little crowded, but it was a very hot day and a weekend, so I expected a crowd. IMAX volcanoes movie was impressive as well.

Russell Fogg

Get experience for adults, kids would be unbelievable! 99% of the exhibits work. Make sure you see the ball rolling around on the tracks up around the ceiling and the walls. There's like four or five balls rolling around at the same time fascinating, fascinating, fascinating! A lot of interesting exhibits. Well worth the money.

Win R

So many unique things! Pompeii exhibit is amazing and so is the gaming area!!

jessica sullivan

Most interactive stuff at this place is free which is amazing! I'd say it's better suited for kids ages 7+ but there are a few things for younger kids to do too.

Vance Heffern

The Pompeii exhibition was awesome. I was in Pompeii last year and didn't learn all the things I saw at the exhibit. Rest of the center is mostly kid focused. With the visit.

Brittany Hanna

This place is great, but definitely geared for a younger group of kids. My 12 and 15 year old were too old for this, but they still had fun. There is lots to do and the gaming center is a lot of fun. If you have younger children this is a must see!

Jim Ernst

Absolutely wonderful they had a little bit of everything from dinosaurs to outer space, it was something to keep you busy all day long. Best of all it's free! parking is about $12, but well worth it. You owe it to your kids to take them there.

Andromeda Jones

So much to do and see! Kids loved how interactive it is! Not bad pricing, parking is pay. Souvenir shop is great, along with the little food court. We had fun exploring it. Will be back next time!

Emily Chandler

Super fun place for kids. Science shows frequently that are fun but very educational. Free part will occupy you for hours. There is a couple paid events that are reasonable priced. My teenager even had fun.

Karen Bartling

We went to see the Pompeii exhibit. It was fascinating. I would strongly recommend it. As far as the rest of the science center, you could easily spend all day there. There is a lot to see and do.

Mackenzie Godsey

The exhibits were amazing and the kids were interested, but between being extremely crowded and the food being overpriced and latex-tasting the experience was diluted. We ate at the science cafe thinking sandwiches would be a safe bet and the homemade chips were overdone and tasteless. I had the smoked turkey wrap and could not taste anything except what I would describe as latex and plastic. The experience overall was good but in my opinion save your $40 and eat somewhere else.

Ashton Reed

Great exhibits and shows, but this place feels like a major money grab. The exhibits feel like they're for a much younger audience, and the attractions for older audiences come with an additional cost. I hope to see this place with many more attractions for more mature audiences

Adrianna Deiters

Always love coming to SLSC. From the Discovery room, to the special exhibits, to the planetarium. We love it all.

Yanyun Yang

This is such a fun place! It is amazing exploring the different plate boundaries, fossils, earthquakes, motions, and such! I enjoyed the Apollo exhibit! It was so cool seeing the models and the Mars rover too! The planetarium is amazing! I love the science center!

Kathryn Blevins

Great displays. Cost for special event a little high. A lot of walking. Price for food and drinks were outgageous. Staff friendly and helpful

Hunter Stubblefield

I thought it would be too kid focused but it was actually a really cool place. There are many exhibits that are fun and interesting for anyone. Can’t forget to cross the overpass and visit the Mars section too!

Chrissy Thompson

I can’t thank the two individuals who helped us enough when my son fell sick outside before we entered!!! He was doubled over in pain and ended up puking all over the place and the two staff members that helped us were only concerned about his well being! Such great people and a great facility!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Beast Radio

Took my daughter to the Pompeii exhibit was awesome had a blast got to learn a lot of good history I've loved the story of Pompeii and to be able to get to see the exhibit up close just made it a hundred and 10% better

Tracy Hallquist

There is always something new to explore and learn about. Their exhibits are world class! Every time we go we find something new, and have the fun activities we love there to greet us. This last visit was just my husband and I, as the kid was at school. We enjoyed the fascinating Pompeii exhibit, so much to learn and see!

Melanie Scheer

The St. Louis science center is a must see if you visit. They have tons of cool things for children and adults. So much fun for all ages!!!

Jeff Smith

Free excellent family fun. St Louis is the best town to visit because of their free museums and excellent free zoos. I come every summer with my family. I love this place so much. Their new game exhibit is outstanding. We paid for the ocean movie. It was so cool.

Johna Rhodes

Nice place to visit with the family. It's nice to have free activities in St. Louis.

Maddie Trelz

Great place for kids and adults to explore scientific concepts in innovative ways! There are changing exhibits year round, and plenty of accessible activites and amenities as well. So fun!

Jene Watt

The personnel was very nice, so were the other visitors I interacted with

Lindsey Mao

For a free museum, this is amazing. It is packed full of interactive activities that are great for children and adults. We spent two hours here and it wasn't nearly enough time to see even half of the things here. I really liked the game and maker spaces. We will be coming back and buying the tickets for the planetarium, since my husband loves that stuff.

Nyza Stillwater

Not as large as I expected but really great for learning and education. We went there on the "Stranger Things" First Fridays night and had a blast. There were gaming areas with arcade machines and classic video gaming equipment. The place was packed and the energy was quite contagious. The Outer Space section was really nice as well. Best of all, it was all free (parking was only $5 that night and because of the special event, the center closed at 10pm, so we could fit it into our vacation plans and still tour the other STL sites).

Mark Longbrake

It's free. It's great for kids of all ages. My 6 and 8 year olds had a blast. But prepare for it to be crowded.

Tim Lurkins

This is a fun trip with kids. The Omnimax theater had fun educational programs. Cool exhibits. We watched the show about rescue dogs, it was fantastic.

Debbie G

Always a good time, especially the "hamster wheel" (at the Energizer exhibit). Most recently we especially enjoyed the Halloween Event and OMG Josh was absolutely phenomenal! Educational, so funny, and really engaged the kids (& adults).

Lisa Chen

Excellent museum. Excellent exhibits and they always bring in new exhibits to keep it fresh. I loved the museum growing up and now my kids love it too. Forest Park is amazing - great zoo, great science center, great art museum, great park. Forest Park and its museums are perfect for the family. Thank you city of St Louis.

Jason

Brilliant Pompeii Exhibit! It just scratched the surface on the events that fateful. My daughter and I are currently amateur archeologists/anthropologists. We are currently digging deeper into Pompeii.

Cristy Atherton

Lots of cool things. Place is free with parking. If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would. The game room was our favorite. The kids have been there hours. Kids and adult approved. Place is a blast and a must go for St Louis,MO.

Michael Perry

Great place for children and grandchildren. Tons of interactive displays. Parents can learn a lot as well. Just saw the Pompeii exhibit. Absolutely amazing! I've been to Pompeii. The exhibit displayed everything missing from visiting Pompeii. Pristine artifacts and superb historical narrative. Definitely go if you can!

Frankie Hernandez

This place was really cool! We were in St. Louis just visiting for spring break and we were looking for things to do around town. We were really mesmerized by the tractions that they had there. It was a fun day.

Eric Pettersen

Always excellent, great for the whole family. Parking costs, but there are some roadside parking areas that don't cost anything. That said, it's worth the price, given this goes towards keeping the place running. Kids almost always seem to love the dinosaurs and footbridge over the highway.

Rob Ochs

For the amount of content, paying for parking means you get an entire day of engaging fun for $10. What a great deal! The things you would pay for are reasonably priced and unique with no pressure to buy, except from your kids. Great time!

Paul Pasker

Great place to take the kids. Went without them and still had a great time. So many cool things to do, and it is free!!!!

Amber Holmes

Have always enjoyed visiting the St. Louis Science Center! The Pompeii exhibit was fantastic. Toddler was intimidated by the dinosaurs when you walk in, but soon forgot and had a blast with all the other experiences.

Glenn Buford

I have been coming to the Science Center since I was in grade school. No matter how old you are there is always something to do here. I came here to watch Star Wars Episode 7 at the Omni Max and it was amazing. I also enjoy coming up here on First Fridays because there is always a different theme. I have been up here Doctor Who, Pokemon, Star Wars and couple of other theme nights. The most recent theme was Pokemon. Be sure to check their social media to see what is going on before you go.

Mike Rogers

This is still a good place to take your kids. Tje only problem that we had was the "Stations" were not adequately supplied. Missing parts, broken pieces were common. Often no one around to tell. The best part was programming the "Rover", but even that had issues, with the touch screen not activating where your finger was touching.

CuteTube Haynie

Kids always have great time here. My husband lost car keys and security was super nice and proactive to find it quickly.

Heather Shoptaw

We always love coming here, when we're in the area. So much for kids to do, to explore, and get their energy out! The science center is free, but parking isn't- just so you're prepared.

Amy Moore

Such a FUN experience for our family! So much to do and see and learn about! Every time we thought there wasn't anything else to see then we would find another fun room to explore! Our kids had the best time! Our favorites were the build your own sails and flying objects, the dinosaur exibits, game room! I LOVED the grow area! Thanks for such an amazing day of adventures!

Breanna O'Bryan

I trully enjoyed going through the museum. I absolutely love the Planetarium and the Pompeii exhibit.

James Stillson

Great place to take the kids. Parking was easy and they learned a lot about dinosaurs, pharmacy health, and energy.

Midwest Traveler

I love this place. It's geared towards older kids and adults, but my 3-year-old son didn't seem to mind. We all had a great time. Absolutely loved the game room!!

Jake Lee

A great experience at a great price. Plan on a all day visit if trying to see and experience everything. Also have a game plan before starting to help avoid back tracking.

KriSta Love

Parking is $12 but the center is free! I’ve been to many science museums so I feel like I can say it’s a good deal for children 10 and under. I was there with five kids under 5 and they thought it was interesting. My dinosaur OBSESSED 3 year was so scared of the T REX

Alex Murrin

Nice sized science center- lots of people in the summer. My 4 year old enjoyed it but was a bit overwhelmed by the crowds and noise. Recommend a slightly older child, 6-8. Exhibits are generally good though so needed maintenance.

Amanda Smith

The Science Center is wonderful. They have tons of exhibits and activities for people of all ages. There's an IMAX theater, a planetarium, flight simulators, and a big hands on area for kids. There was so much to do I didn't even get to see the whole place.

Morena Hopkins

We love coming here for family outings. :) My kids love the dinosaur exhibit and the tectonic plate displays and they always learn something new everytime we visit! We're also huge fans of the space section and the planetarium.

Den Albi

Loved the place. Exposition was great. It was fun. The planetarium was excellent.

Josef Mansour

Had a fabulous time! Went for the Pomeii exhibit and was very impressed. The artifacts on display were wonderful. The phases of the exhibit really do well to give feeling to the destruction from Vesuvius. So glad we made it. Highly recommend it. We got the guided tour speakers but they really are not needed. They proved to be more of a distraction while trying to read.

Samantha B

We love the Science Center! It's a great place to take the kids and spend the day. Very hands-on learning museum and lots to explore! Even for adults. ☺ We went there for a good 3 hours and still didn't have time to explore everything.

Lacey Jones

My youngest wasn't too thrilled to go to "another museum" but by the time they were closing he wanted to come back the next day. So many fun things to explore, do, ride and have fun! If I lived here I'd totally do a season pass and bring the kids often.. Especially during the hot and humid summer months!

Krystal Holley

Was an extremely cool place! I loved all the interactive games and puzzles for you to do while going throughout the different types of sciences! My grandma and I had a wonderful time looking at all the attractions!

Chelsea Brown

I always love going to the science center! It's fun, interactive and keeps the young kiddos busy

JON

Kind of small compared to other Science Centers I've been to, but it's a nice place for young kids.

Amy Miller

Great place for kids. Definitely kid focused. Huge space. You could definitely spend an entire day here.

Martina Radford

They had an awesome event for the first Friday of the month! Vendors came in and the event was free, we just paid for parking. I would highly recommend going, even if it's just on a regular day!

corinne lattimer

Pompeii exhibit very well done. So well preserved you almost think you could buy it in a department store now. Amazing window into history. Easily done in 1 to 1.5 hours.

Went to see the Pompeii Exhibition and it was excellent. To see items that were found years after Mt. Vesuvius erupted was was quite fascinating. And there are things to do there for kids of all ages except for babies. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

I've loved the Saint Louis Science Center since I was very young and that hasn't changed a bit. If it has been a while since you've visited or your new to the Science Center there are several must see areas to stop and appreciate during your visit. The Grow exhibit is mostly outdoors, so if weather permits don't miss it and try to catch a talk about the chickens and their coop if possible. The Maker Space is absolutely amazing and will delight any creative sparks you may have inside of you. If you're bringing the kids, the Discovery Room is totally worth the price of admission, whether you stand back and watch your kids play or you jump right in with them, you'll enjoy it. Finally, check to see what the travelling exhibit is. I went the the Tut exhibit and the Guitar exhibit and they were both great.

Great place to bring your children of all ages. Free admission, just have to pay for parking and if you want to go to special attractions inside. Lots to do and interactions.

This museum is one of the top notch museums I've been to. My grandchildren loved it. There are so many hands on activities and the staff was very attentive. The game room sporting life size Nintendo, tic, tac, toe and numerous other games was well thought out. The bridge with the see through traffic Windows on the floor was ingenious. We were there for 4 hours and can't wait to go back to explore the rest.
