Average Rating:

DESCRIPTION

Here you have all the reviews of people who purchase the services and products of National Museum of Transportation (Museum) around Missouri area.

At the present the business receives a score of 4.6 stars over 5 and that rating is based on 1139 reviews.

You must have seen that the average score it has is virtually the top, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the evaluation is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the service, it works.

As you know, we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

This Museum is classified in the category of History museum.

Elizabeth Ayers

I love to take my boys here. It's very fun for them. The creation station can be hard to get into but if you have the time to wait it's worth it. I have a 3 year old and a one year old. My one year old even enjoys the creation station

Night Star

Was friendly for kids employees were very helpful and nice the place was amazing take a trip there sometime

austin backues

Lots of cool and unique vehicles to look at and appreciate!

Leon Medado

While there are a few aircraft and one boat on display, the National Museum of Transportation is focused on trains and automobiles. The train collection is substantial and spread out over a massive rail yard. Many of the train cars can be boarded.

C. Pelissier

Really would have liked to be able to see inside more of the exhibits and that the hands on learning center ran later into the day.

Lifestyles of the Holloman's

Father's Day car show. A lot of amazing cars. The museum is a must. Any train enthusiast would love the trains they have on site.

Johannes Demmer

I am not sure why it is called a transportation museum - next to a few cars and a plane, the focus is definitely rail from all decades. Widespread large, collection of engines, cars (both freight and passenger). All with detailed description - so bring time. Suggestion: focus at one area at a time otherwise you get lost between all different pieces. Or to the museum: rearrange the rail exhibits by period, traction or use to make it easier for not so rail-experienced visitors. But definitely a 5 star location.

Charles Swank

Got their late but definitely worth seeing

Peter Hand

Used to come here as a kid all the time and it has really grown! Great displays and so many trains! So much fun for all ages!

Jonathan Cordova

Good place to throw w birthday party.

Terminal Railfanner

Love this place I would recommend you check the temperature outside before you go ‘cause you’ll be outside most the time check the weather. They have a great car collection but the mostly have trains some trains you can go on and ring the bell and pull on the throttle I would recommend this place for small children but if your like me and love trains well this is the place admission is a lot but I have a season pass which cost $89 with the season pass you get free admission to the museum and the miniature train. -Drew B

Kim Richins

Great place! This was a lot of fun for adults and children.

Tom M

Great one odd a kind cars, etc..

CHB Wien

Quite small museum, the artefacts could be in better shape. Were there on a Wednesday afternoon, and all train cars were locked, no trains were running.

Michael Hughes

Unbelievably Amazing displays of trains and automobiles! One could spend several days wandering through the historic displays and listening to the ghosts of yesteryear and feel the rumblings of the giant locomotives carrying people and cargo to destinations far and wide! If you listen very closely you can hear the grand stories they tell and actually immerse yourself in an era gone by when the romance of riding the rails was a gloriously wonderful way to travel!

Christine Fuller

This place is great for all ages. They have some exhibits you can climb on. This was so much more than I expected. From the miniature train ride to the UNBELIEVABLE number of historic trains (and other vehicles)

Tabitha Waldron

So much to see at this museum! There is a mini train to ride around the grounds. And then ton of place to look at and explore old trains, rails, cars, and cabooses. There is a whole building dedicated to classic cars. And there are several planes on display. My son had a blast! There is so much ground to cover that we could have spent all day there, but we only had a couple of hours. They have a Cafe there, or you can pack a picnic and eat near your car (they don't allow you to bring outside drinks or food into the buildings). They apparently also host birthday parties, and my son was asking about a party at the museum for his next birthday.

MARY REICHERT

Love the new addition they added on.

Kevin Love

This is a great museum located right in the heart of America. Lots of automobiles and railroad equipment. Make plans to visit and help support the preservation of our transportation history.

Ryan Schilling

Lots of examples (ones you can go into too) of trains that were in use throughout the rail boom and through history. There's 2 indoor buildings, one when you come in from the lower parking lot if you come into the property at the first entrance on Barrett Station, that has a small selection of aviation equipment (seats, helmets, pictures, not much else) and some model trains set up along with a gift shop and (at least at this time) a display with several trucks set up to showcase early commercial trucks (tow trucks, flat bed trucks, etc). The 2nd building is atop the hill near the upper parking lot. That houses mostly automotive examples of historical or significant vehicles. From the first/lower building, take a walk up the switchbacks past the 2nd building to get to the outdoor trains (a good number of them except the big snow blower and Big Boy are covered) and see engines and train cars along with a few boats off in the distance (I think one of them is an old tug of some kind) near the upper parking lot. Curiously missing are any plane-related items other than some seats and pictures and stuff located in some sort of pseudo-hallway area behind the front desk. As a plus, there's even a miniature train that runs around the property and some old construction equipment off on its own near the lower parking lot that would be neat for kids. I also believe they offer...I can't remember what its called... its like a room where your kids can go and build stuff with kits they have. The train and that extra kids thing are an additional charge, but would be neat for someone to do with their kids. I don't put too many things on my "places I need to come back to" list, and this one isn't there (at least not unless anything significant changes) but I did enjoy myself and getting to see the trains and cars. The museum seems well run and the placards next to each piece are informative (although a few have some bad typos on them) and there seems to be a cohesion amongst the museum pieces; they're all there for some purpose, whether they were a first-of-its-kind invention or played a novel role in American culture and shaping those that came after them. If you haven't gone and live local, or are considering making the trip to see it: do it. Its worth seeing at least once and to anyone with a passing interest in transportation its neat.

Claire Rodrigo

I highly recommend you purchase a membership so you may take family and friends for a year at the same cost as 1 visit for 7 people. Please know that there are 2 sections to the museum. My first visit I had only explored the children’s area.

Amy Comer

I have been bringing my kids here since they were 2 and they just absolutely love this museum! I'm not going to lie, I am a huge fan as well! I love getting to explore the massive amounts of trains, see the classic cars, and ride the mini train!! For my most recent trip I used a Groupon and saved some $$! Thank you for that!!

Moses Cobb

Great place to tour, whether with or without kids.

Jennie Hayes

This place does not care about the neighborhoods and houses surrounding it. They start cutting the grass at 6am... 6am!!!! Multiple law mowers. It is now 12:30 and they are STILL mowing the grass. It blows my mind that it is taking that long and they can obviously start later than 6am. There is 0 respect. I am sure that is some kind of noise ordinance that will stop this. My neighbors and I are very frustrated by this.

Linda Christy

Handicap accessible. 3 gift shops for light snacks. Free miniature train ride to get overview of park. Trains are awesome. Car museum as well. Beautifully landscaped. Easy free park. Admission for seniors $2off regular $12 admission.

Bill Givens

Educational and entertaining for all ages. Especially good for small children to encourage active imaginations.

Molly Hukle

This place is great for all ages. They have some exhibits you can climb on. Tons of trains.

Xavier Mercado

Great place to take my grandson thank you.

maksim pevgonen

Nothin besides hell of a lot trains, 10 cars and 2 planes. If u are tain fan u will like this place.Poor collection of cars

Kristen Kruger

Fun place for the young kids to explore. A little limited in substance. There's really just a handful of trains to climb through. Don't miss the car museum. It's easy to walk past.

Matthew Stokstad

Mostly trains but cool none the less.

Iris Teh

We had so much fun. The ride was awesome. Even adults enjoyed seeing all these historical trains. If you want to take kids to the creation station, be sure to check their schedule online. It only opened the first and third Sunday of the month in the weekend and morning from Monday to Friday.

Ginger Fike

Loved the antique vehicles both gas, horse and pedal driven, also loved the old trains. Will take my granddaughter next time.

Cyndi Jo

Family fun for all ages ❤️♥️ hard to tear little one from creation station.

Steve Binning

Best collection of stream engines in the country. The trolley ride was an added bonus.

Tyler Stout

Very fun and hands on for the adults and kids

Nicole Lansing

Great place can't wait to go back!!

Kristen Knudson

Had a good time, but I feel like the admission price is a little steep.

Barbara Dennis

At Museum of Transportation for the Mustang Roundup. What a beautiful day to get those mustang's out.

ruth Jamison

So much fun for my little four old nephew, my 80 year old mom and my 38 year old self. We had a great time and it wore the little guy out (not an easy feat!).

Michael Boyd

Great place. Awesome for a kids birthday party

erickraisser1

A wonderful place to see old transportation equipment.

Jeffrey Lerner

They have activities every weekend, check their website to see what's coming up. They have a lot of car shows here. Plenty of trains to walk around and see and a free trolley ride. $5 for a miniature train ride around the property . Look for discount tickets online and special free days.

Adam Young

My son loves this place!

Audrey Slatton

Beautiful landscape, history at every turn and fun for all ages. Combined with a beautiful day and friendly staff, what more could you ask for? I just wish the little hand cars were up and running!

Cathy Dykstra

The guide was good and it contains a wide variety of rare and common cars and trains alike.

John VonderHaar

Great place to take the family a lot of hands on things for kids to do, like climbing up on train cars and locomotives

diana winschel

Great place for transportation history This is a nice place to go for a short outing There is even a trolley car that takes you on a short ride ...

Elizabeth Falast-Saunders

The volunteers were super knowledgeable. It reallu shows how much they love the museum. The collection is so diverse. You can never go wrong with a day at the Museum of Transport!

Palina Akhramchuk

I love trains, so I really liked this place. Here you will find old and not so much trains, retro cars and some other things. This place has its own special atmosphere. Everything is very interesting and informative. You can make many beautiful photos (if you have blog in instagram (or just blog) you can take beautiful photos ). I want to find a similar place (museum) with trains in Europe (tell me, if you know)

Jason LiCavoli

We love it here. Kids love climbing on gigantic trains. I love all the history here

Toni Null

I've been to a lot of car museums, but I saw cars in there and found out interesting facts that I never knew.

Jonathon Raclaw

I enjoy transportation museums, and have been to many. This one, while small, taught me things and provided lots of great photo opportunities.

Eric Perkins

Loved it! It was fun going through the old trains and they had a nice car museum also. It was impressive how large their collection is. I’m surprised I’ve lived in St Louis and never heard about this place until a few months ago.

Nate Paul

If you want a great place to see locomotives and automobiles from an area gone by, this is the place. Kids you will learn alot and even have a chance to ride a mini train. Lots of activities to do during the summer.

Sheila Sharpe

Haven't been since grade school. Love this place, the history contained within those walls is amazing. I didn't get to see the trains, as there were lots of small children around, and I'd rather not. I surmised a couple of daycare centers were visiting that day...definitely will return.

Mike Fischer

Great place for kids and adults to see reL transportation history

Michael Borg

Cool place to go to see old cars and trains that were the start of the St. Louis economy.

Robert Jeffers

This place is awesome. If you like trains, cars, and a jet, I would definitely recommend going.

Brian Rice

Great collection of rare and one off trains and vehicles. The facilities and landscaping are all kept spotless. The volunteers and employess are all friendly and knowledgeable. If I were to leave one suggestion, it would be to place a few vending machines around with bottled water. Its a very long walk to find a water fountain or down the the gift/cafeteria.

Nicoleas Yowell

It's not bad for this place.

Angie Merckel

I'm a nanny and my kiddos at work love this place. Fred loves riding the trains and is constantly asking me when we are going back. Just wish the membership would save money on snacks.

Dave Gilbert

We used to go to this place in high school (many years ago - hah!) and frankly, it was just an orderly and rusted junkyard. But all of that has changed! It is incredible what the workers and volunteers have done to make this a destination worth taking time out to go see and enjoy. There is a small train that circles around the perimeter of the museum - and it is fun for both kids and adults. If you have young kids ( below the age of five), they have a playroom that is not only the delightful for the kids but also for the adults as it is well-appointed for both: the kids can play with everything from train sets to kitchens, and the adults can watch all the action take place from nice rocking chairs or seats on the edge. Wonderful murals and paintings also adorne the room. Highly recommended and a hidden gem!

Jennifer Watson

This was an amazing day. My boys 10 and 6 really enjoyed every bit.

Kristina Nation

It was top 5 on the list of free attractions in the St.louis area, but once we got there it was so expensive we went elsewhere. So I can't comment on the place itself, but will say I was disappointed that we were mislead and drove about 35 miles one way to get there

Roy Jefferson

The exhibits were nice, but the workers were very unfriendly. The only worker who was pleasant was the initial greeter when we entered the museum. All other workers just stared or ignored you.

Alysha Heimberg

This is a very interesting museum with a collection of mostly retired Trains and vintage cars. You get to explore inside many of the old trains and they select different trains to operate on select days for short rides! They also have a miniature train that gives rides and hand operated miniature train cars for kids (available on some days). Additionally, there is a play room with crafts for kids to make and an extensive collection of wooden train tables. The museum shop is an excellent source of gifts. There are some model train scenes operating year round but they have a lot more around Christmas time. It's also just a nice place to walk around with paved sidewalks so it's stroller/wheelchair friendly. There are some hills so it might be difficult for some people to walk (little people and elderly). If you plan on going more than a few times the membership is worth it. It's something my 2 yr old and I do once a week.

Darrin Abend

Awesome look at locomotive history!

Dee Burton

I brought my husband a hot rod head here, it was amazing! The Chrysler Turbine with the jet engine was his fafvorite. I fell for the Dadia lol -- The staff was great and the price was not bad at all. Definitely worth the trip :)

Lee O'S727

I haven't been here since I was in school. The updates and great. There was even a car show going on the day I went and that was a good surprise. Great place to go. Don't forget to leave donations people or this place may cease to exist for future generations.

Veronica Cain

It was great, so much information about cars and trains I didn't know. A lot of walking, but it was worth it.

Reed Radcliffe

The model railroad exhibit was a great deal of fun. I'm going to have to bring my great nephew and niece some day. This place is a treasure. Been coming since I was a child myself.

Elise Allen

This place is a hidden gem! We took my two-year-old son here and he had the best time. There is so much to see and do and the size and quantity of the trains will blow you away!

Kim Poulsen

I visited this place, with my brother, and nephew last year, as part of our road trip across the U.S. I am a big fan of the movie "Convoy" from 1978 with Kris Kristofferson. In this movie he drives around in a particular truck, a Mack. I heard somewhere that the truck is on display in this museum. I wrote an email to the museum, which I found on their webpage, asking if it was true that they had this truck on display. The museum never replied back to me which was a bit disappointing. We decided to visit the place anyway, since we were in the area anyway. They did not have the truck on display, and the three employees I asked did not even know about the movie. That is their loss he he. I wonder where the truck is. I am glad we visited the museum anyway, as there are a lot of interesting locomotives on display here, and the atmosphere surrounding them is very cool. It's also a very clean place, you can see that it is being kept very tidy. The focus is mainly on trains but there is a building with a lot of old cars which is quite interesting as well. Also very tidy. The museum souvenir shop was not very big, and did not really have any small scale models of old cars, or trains, I could buy. We enjoyed it here anyway even though we did not get to see the "Rubber Duck" truck.

Jonathan Flatt

This place is really cool if you like trains my son had a blast. Definitely would come back just on a cooler day. Tons to look at and experience.

Pattijamieson69.pj@gmail.com midnight69

Could have more trains. More trains to ride. Overpriced.

Amber Schroeder

Always so much fun exploring here and seeing all the out of commission trains! You can even climb inside quite a few! The little train that you can ride is great for the kiddos! It is a lot of walking for littles, so I would suggest a stroller.

Charles Day

Plan on spending at least 2 hours or more. More if you want to read all the info. Exhibits inside ans out so dress according to weather.

Kat McPhail

Very cool museum!!! Note that there is a fair amount of walking after you park to get to the car and train areas.

Tom Cohee

Great place for anyone. Lots of activities for family and history for adults.

Amanda Constable

We had a wonderful time and it was such a great experience for our son!

Shawn Blackwell

A great place to explore the history of transportation for young and old alike. I love this place and you will too. Please donate to this worthy cause. They need to raise money to refurbish the antique trains and other modes of transportation and to keep this place open for generations to come.

bob hopkins

Wonderful selection of rolling stock. I will visit many times

Mark Denehy

Really cool Had a very nice time

Prairie State Elevators

Nice place to see and ride trains. Large selection of steam, Diesel and electric locomotives, some of which you can get into.

Craig Thorpe

If you like trains, this is the place to go. Also has exhibits of other transportation related things. One nice thing they did was build a platform so you can clearly see the UP trains as they go by at the back of the museum property. This is how close you can get to the trains as they hop by. I highly recommend this!

Joshua Arellano

It is a good place for tourists

Linda Lucas

Was friendly for kids employees were very helpful and nice

Steve Herrington

Great place to know about the history of this country. Explain very well but how they built the railroads the plains everything else great place to go and visit

IW S

Fantastic if you love trains

Cynthia Thiele

Such a wonderful place!

Andrea Bahr

The staff here were so nice. They must really like their jobs. My son and I had a great day at the museum. It was a rare opportunity to be up close to so many amazing cars and trains.

Michael Kern

If you like old trains and old cars you will love this place! Great place for younger children too.

Robert Ravens

Great place for kids of all ages, toddler to seniors.

Edward Hewitt

Great place to see old time cars and trains

Marquita Bryson

Fun place to look at cars and trains. Some of the trains you can get on to see the inside. There was also a pleasant train ride that was educational.

Euan Cameron

Fascinating exhibits and friendly staff, not too busy even on a weekend.

Joe Taylor

This is one of the largest collections of locomotives and rolling stock in various states of restoration. Kid friendly with unlimited miniature train rides around the property. Landscaping is well done to provide a nicer backdrop to the amazing mechanical marvels from the late 1800s through 2000.

TMZalabak

Took the family and had a great time. Son is into trains and loved seeing all the different trains they had to offer. Everyone was friendly and you can tell they enjoy what they do. They have a streetcar you can ride in and the volunteers tell the history of streetcars as well with a miniture train ride telling more history. Had a great time and will be coming back.

Alexander Haber

Great place, awesome to see all these lokomotives

Rob Bilbruck

My kids love it here! So many things to see. They really enjoyed the train ride around the property and the car museum. Going inside and standing next to the Goliath size steam engines was also a great experience. They have a nice snack area and toy store as well.

Grantimas maximas

3 young boys, what else can I say. Our trips usually involve something they would like and the transportation museum has all of that and more. So much to see we could have spent all day but ran out of time and had to do the lunch and nap routine.

Michael Warden-Michl

Feel that my wife and I got a little catfished with this place. Because of the outstanding reviews, we brought our 2yr old on a rainy Saturday, only to find that the "Creation Station" room, the biggest attraction for young kids, is closed all day for private events. So, keep that in mind if you plan on bringing young children, that room is available weekday mornings

Robert Hervey

Massive display of historic trains and cars. Christmas model train display was awesome. My 2 year old loved every minute.

Jon Nagle

Awesome place to go to see the history of trains and cars!! And to let the kids walk thru them makes it even better.

Arlen Murphy

The place was great, a lot of history. Great vehicles to be seen. Staff was excellent.

Land Shark

Nice museum with lots of outdoor train exhibits and train rides.

Dave Ganter

Totally fascinating museum. The exhibits are unbelievable.

G Rail

My son’s favorite place on this planet! We live in Arkansas and make it a point to travel to St. Louis to visit the Transportation Museum a couple times a year. First time we visited my son was 7 years old. Now he’s 13 and this place still brings as much joy to us as it did the first time we visited. It’s also a great place to go Pokémon hunting.

Heather Patefield

We brought our daughters here for the first time and we all loved it

Julie Bogart

The museum itself is great, but my family and I were appalled by the customer service (or lack of it). Though it is not stated anywhere, we were told that you're not allowed to buy tickets for someone who is parking the car. We were yelled at and spoken down to by a woman named Lynn who was selling us tickets... only to then find out that she was, unfortunately, the manager of customer service. I've never been treated so poorly by someone who was selling something to me. It's unfortunate, because the museum is great, but I would hesitate before giving her my business again.

debbie abend

Lots of fun things to see. They weren't very busy so a really nice volunteer gave us an unscheduled mini tour. Don't remember his name, but he made the tour even better with all his knowledge.

Zae'Vion Adams

School field trip was so interesting enjoyable and educational. Beautiful environment...outgoing staff made everyone feel comfortable and inspired a lot of energy.

Dean Ocque

Love this place. Don't be fooled at first glance. They have tons of trains and cars here. Just a note, they close at 4pm which means they close at 3:45. You cannot purchase anything after 3:45. I had an armload of stuff and she said they were closed.

Kellie Smith

If your kids love trains this place is perfect for them. They have a ton of different trains and knowledgeable staff. They have several really nice cars as well, and if you are into cars it is a must see. Loved it and we will be back.

Morten Green

Pretty good lots of trains there had a fun time. But best to come on a cool weather day.

Timothy Monroe

Love the old trains and the car museum. Zane loved it too and is always asking to go back.

Michael Buell

This turned out to be more interesting than we expected. Took our grandchildren aged 3 and 2 there and they enjoyed it. Lots of full sized trains to roam through. Old carriages and the like. A 30 minute play room. Small train ride. Some really cool old cars and much more. Small food area.

Siddhesh .P

Good collection of automobiles and trains on display here. The restoration is pretty good on majority of the vehicles. I was more interested in their railroad collection. The place has a neat collection of steam locomotives, old freight consist, some old diesels and electrics. The highlight is the UP Big Boy, the largest steam locomotive on display, and has access to it's cabin too, which is labelled well as to which valves and levers functioned accordingly. It is a treat if you are a railway enthusiast and have read about the history of US railroad operations.

Bryan B

We went because my son and I enjoy trains. This was so much more than I expected. From the miniature train ride to the UNBELIEVABLE number of historic trains (and other vehicles) I was in awe. This is a MUST for any train enthusiast at any level. Even got to sit in the engineer's seat of a Big Boy....

Christopher M

So many trains. So much fun. Kids loved it!

Grady Barton Jr

Excellent! I would definitely recommend it!

Kara Bevis

We brought our 2 year old and great grandparents. The two year old enjoyed riding the miniature train and the trolley. She also enjoyed the toddler play room. It was a lot of walking for my great grandparents, but they still enjoyed it. They just didn't opt to look at everything.

Robert Brinkman

Great place to see the history of transportation.

Lisa Wilson

Easy access for older folks, great venue for every age. A train ride for cheap and lots of 66 memories with automobiles! Love it!

CuteTube Haynie

Great place for a toddler. Have big trains, little trains, toy trains... airplane and a boat

Anne Poelker

My son has loved this place for years! I love that if you decide to get a membership after paying for a daily admission, they will apply what you paid towards your membership fee. The level of membership that we get is completely paid for once our family of 3 (now 4, but the baby doesn't need a ticket!) goes twice and gets train tickets each time. Every visit after that is essentially free. I also love that we can bring other people with us each time too.

Lisa Edwards

This was so interesting . I would have never guessed.

Scott Schuh

Go on board some of the trains and look at them from an engineer's perspective. They even gave us a tour of a private car which was nothing like what you see in the TV yeah it was better than what the standard passenger was able to ride in. The kids had a great time and fell in love with the antique cars in the museum. They wanted to know how that big 1950s Chevy convertible could fit on the road as big as it is? The kids had a good time climbing on the tugboat and standing next to the aircraft.

Allison Barnes

Took my boys (7 & 4.5) to the museum for the first time and they LOVED IT! We only had time for the trains, but that's all they wanted to see. We bought the year pass and will be going back again and again. Can't wait to see the cars along with the other things there.

carol ann Yenco

Great museum. All volunteers working there. The train section is unbelievable. They also have a great car display. There is even a Cafe. Be prepared to walk and spend 3 hours.

Keith Lawrence

Enjoyed our family time there riding the trolley and kids train. Loved seen the old cars and hearing about the history of them. Kids loved getting on the trains and walking through them.

Kaleb Hake

Lots of fascinating vehicles, and the volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

Harun Hadžagić

Lovely place with great thing to see. I suggest going on a cooler day since most of the exhibitions are outside. A great train ride is also available. The speakers on the train for the guide should be a bit louder I had a hard time hearing the guide. Other than that everything was perfect.

Wendy Fawcett

My 4 year old was in train heaven. He really enjoyed being able to go inside many of the cars and check them out.

Michael Geiger

Nice collection of historic trains and cars.

Wilcox Heritage Farm

Fantastic place. A lot of unique things to see, great staff, great preservation of history. Must see if you're in the St Louis area.

Ryan Ceynar

This place is awesome! We spent about 2.5 hours here, it's mostly outdoor stuff so dress for the weather. There are tons of cool trains, some that you can go in. There is also an indoor area with cars. I would definitely recommend going here.

Jim Weissler

Worth every Pennie. Took the train ride twice with the grandkids

Lana K

Nice place to visit with little kids, the mini train is fun for the whole family, the train exhibit and Trolley ride. There's a lot to do!

Casey Goldschmidt

We love the transportation museum! I suggest going around Christmas time to see the model trains. There are trains to climb on and a miniature train to ride, make sure to buy the admission that includes the ride. Sometimes the trolley is running also, which is very fun.

Mike Morrison

Don't miss the Nat'l Transportation Museum when you find yourself in STL

Lots of train cars and locomotives. Great display of cars showing a wide variety of well preserved and unique examples. Lots for kids to see and do.

Great place and fascinating to visit. Enjoyed seeing all the different locomotives, railroad cars, equipment, and memorabilia on display. Allow several hours for your visit and bring a good pair of walking shoes!

MyNameJake

It was so cool and educating

Matt Higgins

This place has most everything related to ground transportation. A very cool indoor museum. That includes a special room for vehicles built in St. Louis.

Rose Dean

This place is great for all ages. They have some exhibits you can climb on

Luigi_Games

This place was great! They had cars, planes, and trains. The passes to get in were inexpensive and the overall activities were fun and educational. I highly recommend this place if you want a fun and educational trip for your family.
