Another step back in time. After seeing this, you appreciate what the workers went through.

Terry Neumann

Pete Conci

James Helegda

Just a great place to learn about history in Detroit and of Ford.

Terence Parker

Walking the floors of this Ford manufacturing plant and offices made me feel more a part of the auto history than I have felt in any other location in the city. In addition, there is a beautiful car collection on site. And I found the docents both enthusiastic and knowledgeable, so it was an excellent visit to a Detroit classic.

Kris w

Katherine Brewer

Great visit for model T birthday celebration. We joined up! Will be back soon

Minister Ruelle

The best museum I've been to in a long time and Tom is a amazing tour guide

J Ross

Took the 10am tour. It was amazing. The guide gave us so much information and told fun stories, more than what one could read on the plaques. The cost was the same. Plus, there were so many antique cars to look at up close. I highly recommend this tour

Mitzi Lawrence

Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in the early development of Ford automobiles.

Justin McKellar

Doing some powerline work right out front of the old Packard plant. It's very interesting they are making it look like how it was back in the day they got some beautiful things going on in that plant.

Bradley Schmidt

Had my wedding reception here. What a great unique venue. Jeff was awesome. Thank you so much

Mort Potter

Growing up, my dad dragged me to so many car museums that I swore them off. From 1988 until recently I hadn't visited one. What a brilliant place. To see America's most epic car in it's birthplace was more thrilling than I like to admit. I think it's pretty much run by volunteers. The joy they get from being there and showing off all their hard work is obvious. This isn't just about cars or the history of manufacturing, though you learn a lot about both. This is Detroit. This is America. Parking is safe and free. It's easy to get to. Just do it.

John Wilcox

Vist the place where the world changed with the advent of the model T. The plant itself is plain but the cars located here give you a slice of what was made here

natalie Manda

Excellent display of early Fords in the factory where the Model T was conceived. Great staff an docent Tom. Wonderful deconstruction of one of the Ford cars to illustrate assembly process. Great parking. Really cool to stand where production actually happened. Great 15 min film informing museum patrons of Ford history. One may rent the museum for receptions, etcetera. Mega thanks to numerous people who have donated time, cars, and money to this museum and preserving such a large piece of our history.

The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is a must visit if you are in Detroit. It is located about 3 miles from the Tigers Comerica Park. Plan to spend about 2-3 hours here. Tickets are $12 for an adult and there is a 30 minute movie and a guided tour available several times a day. Nearly all cars on display are fully operational. Most leak oil or fluid and can be seen with a pan underneath to collect the runoff.

Ken O'Dell

Katilyn Kohl

We had our wedding at the Piquette Plant on May 4. It was absolutely incredible. Jeff the event manager was 100% accommodating and helpful with all of my questions from day 1. Their list of approved vendors was a great guide for me to book and plan everything. I have never heard more compliments in my life about a wedding venue. Completely unique and absolutely stunning. I can not wait to see the pictures and video from our day.

I love this place of real History of FoMoCo. Their first real assembly facility. Before assembly line was invented in the Hamtramack Assembly plant. All individual Cars built from the Frame up in One designated assigned spot. A large variety of Makes and models on display. A real place to enjoy Automotive History.

pam coombs

Nice time.. Interesting place. Lots of history

Jeff Smith

Great Place. Where Ford Motor Company started producing the Model T. Must see.

najwa aboudaye

This place is still in the process to becoming complete, but im happy that I visited before it is completely finished. It really took me back to an Era and it was nice to see all the amazing priceless original cars as well as Henry Ford's office. Definitely a must-see in Detroit.

Matt Kula

Incredible place! The amount of history that is in that building is incredible. You certainly don't have to be a car enthusiast to be able to appreciate all that is within. Had the opportunity to see it as just the museum as well as set up for a wedding. Incredible place for a wedding. The staff was great.

Beth Joy

This place is amazing! Maybe not the best for toddlers, but even still the staff and our experience was wonderful! Go!

John Kutasz

This is an absolute gem, surprisingly close to midtown Detroit. It is wonderful to get to see the building where the Model T was developed, and where the first 12,000 were built. The museum is a nonprofit institution, and it was pretty clear that the 2 guides present for our visit were there due in part to a long affiliation with the auto business. Seeing the original offices, a re-creation of the development room, and a stunning variety of all early Ford vehicles makes for a wonderful introduction to this part of Detroit's history, and is a nice way to support the continued existence of this building. The tour, blessedly, took longer than we thought it would, as our guide had lots of wonderful information to share with us.

Alvin J. Fernandez

Had a great experience at the facility. Go here to see some amazing early cars and have a great time learning about them to this nonprofit organization.

Cody Moore

I'll start by saying, I'm not s Ford guy, but this building, contents and tour went way dealer than just the Ford roots. This building exemplified engineering roots at its finest, even structurally. So cool.

Jon Dancik

Very cool place! Must see

Joseph Tordella

The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant offers a thorough education on the history of mass production cars and commerical vehicles. The various Model Ts are impressive but so are all of their predecessors and contemporary competitors from the era. The descriptions were excellent.

Angela Atkinson

Beautiful place. Alot history about the invention of cars thru the years.

Ryan Alm

Really cool museum. Worth a visit. Could spend a couple hours here.

Carl Rygwelski

First time here and it was for a wedding, it was a very hot day but I absolutely loved the history behind the building and all of the artifacts to see!

James Pfeiffer

A truly interesting and fact filled tour. The tour guide was great. He was interesting and personable. I'm glad we found out about the Piquette factory, it's definitely worth a trip.

Jarrod Williams

GO! Go now! Plan a trip around it! If you are a Ford fan in any sense, and especially of the Model T or interested in Henry, just go! The people here are amazing, Tom and Jerry the guides, were extremely knowledgeable. They shared and answered so many questions. The building is in great shape because of the organizations efforts and I applaud them for everything that they have done and are doing. I will be visiting again in another couple years to see what kind of progress they have made on the building.

CHRISTOPHER BLACK

Way better than I expected. Detroit best kept secret. Make sure you take the included guided tour.

Phil Pantano

Awesome piece of history.

akshay patil

Must go place for Automotive enthusiast ..!! Its , Crown

Cherri Gasoline

The exhibits were authentic and well restored. The curators took great care in sharing their knowlege and being as attentive as possible. The overall experience is extremely informative and great for children and car enthusists. Our family had a great time learning about the history of Ford and observing the hundred or so vehicles

Scott Seeley

One of the best places I have ever visited! It’s a must see. Can’t wait to go back again some day.

Sally Byrd

Jerry was a friendly, engaging, and enthusiastic tour guide. His love of these cars and their history is quite evident. The tour maintained a comfortable and leisurely pace. The interior of the building, with it's fire doors, original narrow staircase, wood floors and beams, was just as interesting as the history. Seeing Henry Ford's office was a treat. There were interactive moments when we were able to rotate the Coil Tester and watch it spark along with how the petals worked in terms of stopping the car. I was flabbergasted at the amount of antique vehicles in one building. This is a tour that is not to be missed! All of the employees in the building are very friendly and engaging. They even throw wedding receptions here. Cool place!

Christopher Green

Really great museum, worth the visit

Bianca Caparaotta-Heath

Attended the Model T Celebration with my children here. Great atmosphere and so much to do! A free event with rides around the block on a real Model T, a kids zone, free museum entry and fun activities for the kids. Loved it.

Kent Mahoney

Really neat place with lots of old Ford cars from the early 1900's. Definitely worth a visit

Luis Diaz

I love the smell of this place, reminds me of old battleships.

Victoria Bogoevski

Attended a wedding reception here. I must preface with the fact that I love museums and historical locations. This was a beautiful venue and you even have the opportunity to take photos in an old car. During your attendance at the reception. Only downside is that the second level does not have A/C however, given the nature of the age of the building it is expected. The 3rd level where the dining and dancing was held was air conditioned and allowed to cool off after the second level warmth.

Mark Pierce

The history of this place is amazing, it was saved from the wrecking ball, and brought back to life. The cars in here (examples of every Letter car Henry Ford ever made are here. The age of the building, and how it was made, bring a unique ambiance as you tour the building. It's a two hour tour, and definitely worth it, even free parking.

Kevin Hodge

Very informative and friendly staff. They offer tours and provide detailed historical facts. Fair prices with membership option. Many cars to see with free parking just across the street. Check it out soon!!

CaRhonda Collins

Very nice Venue, had never been here before. The old loft look and old model T’s give it a great flair for business networking events. I could even see a wedding here. Great service and plenty parking close.

Keith Kidd

This is where the Ford story begins. It was an extremely worthwile visit.

Mark Wilson

Great interesting museum. Definitely need to do the guided tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and told lots of interesting stories. During winter it is pretty cold upstairs so be sure to dress warm!

Robert Cardoni

Didn’t get to spend much time here as they were closing for a wedding - but the staff was kind enough to let us sneak in a check out a few of the cars. Very cool space with lots of vintage cars on display. Will have to come back to see more

Sayyam Mehmood

The guided tour was pretty good. Lots of history with facts.

Ralfy BigBoy

Paul Kurkowski

A historic gem, excellent staff, a must see.

Brent Chartrand

Very neat place to visit if you have any interest in history, cars, Ford, or the Detroit area. A complete collection of Ford's early cars, with free tours from knowledgeable guides. I thank Jerry P for adapting the tour to my limited time constraint! I will definitely try to go back when I have more time. Admission is a well-worth-it $12 for adults.

Brenda Buiskool

Stepping back to 1908 when the Model T was born in “the secret room” the minute you walk into the plant just like Henry left it worn, untouched even with a paint brush. Amazing presenters that walk you through the “Alphabet cars” right to the T. Well worth your time to step back in time.

Joe Huebner

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this National Historic site of Henry Ford, the people, the cars, the suppliers, the investors, the pioneers, the way they lived, what it meant to the country on wheels. We got to ride in a Model A and view so many actual cars. There were 2 movies and a lunch wagon. We got in for free as a special announced tour, from our neighbor. Usually costs $10. Highly recommend.

kelly McIntosh

The best automobile museum i habe ever been too!!! If you like the history of the automobile industry, this is a great place to visit.

tyler laporte

Very interesting place to stop. I recommend the tour as they go through so much that you would never have known. History made in that building is amazing. Love ford and even if you don't still a great place to stop. I'm glad this building was restored!

Carol DiBiase-Ruffe

Jerry was a fabulous, patient, knowledgeable, funny, and engaging tour guide. He was very enthusiastic the whole time, going over minute details of the cars at times. The building itself was a treat with its wood floors, beams, fire doors, and old charm. Having all of these cars in one building, in my opinion, gets you the most bang for your buck considering other museums. The entire staff was friendly. Overall this is a must see in Detroit.

David Wiesman

Mike was extremely knowledgeable, and was extremely passionate about Detroit and Ford history. It was a joy to hear him talk about everything.

James Vander Klipp

True early Detroit history. Excellent preserved early vehicles with knowledgeable staff giving tours. To truly appreciate the Detroit auto industry this is one of the places you must see.

Joshua Craft

Cool place for rustic photo shoots, which is whi I was there on a recent corporate assignment. Taking one back to a better time in Detroit's industrial past. This location would be an exceptional location for a company looking for mixed use industrial/office complex. The facilities need extensive work as they have sat mostly empty for a long time but the walls and structure of the building appears to be solid. As with any mid-century factory setting natural light inside the facility is incredible! This building is truly a diamond in the rough, but expect and budget for renovations.

Devon Kroener

This is Henry Ford's first automotive factory. Your walking in the footsteps of where Detroit's auto history began. The model A through the first 12,000 model T's were produced here. It is an unbelievable sight to see. With admission, they offer daily tours that will walk you through everything, or you can take a self guided tour. Plan at least 3-4 hours to see everything. They have some remarkably rare vehicles, some you'll never see again. Extremely friendly staff eger to answer any questions you may have.

Roman Karbowy

Great musem in oryginal Ford plant location with lots of oryginal old cars. A must see in Detroit. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Charles Walker

Quite a remarkable building and collection of cars. The recreation of Henry Ford's office was really interesting and well done. It's not too far from downtown and is pretty close to Woodward Avenue. Highly recommended if you're interested in automotive history.

Carlos Vargas

Good historical place to visit!

Roland Gagel

Just a place to be to inhale the history of Detroits Motor heritage. Unbelievable how Henry Ford made cars in that building. And.... Nothing special about Elon Musk sleeping in his plant. Henry did that regularly....

UCSMG BCShelton

Amazing chance to see the history of Detroit and Ford's vision in automotive change. Take the entire family on a journey through time and see the history of automotive evolution.

Liam McDonogh

Good collection of historical old Fords on display. The tour guides are interesting, friendly and have extensive knowledge of the displays and the Ford company. If you are a Ford enthusiast you will need to allow some time to see all the displays.

Mark Kane

Awesome piece of American automobile history. Very knowledgeable tour guides!

Max Bauer

We had a wonderful Tour thrugh Ford Motor Company's first production facility

Kathy Skupski

This was my second visit there. They've done so much work to really bring back the history of this Ford plant! Our guide Tom was such an enthusiastic story teller that he help our group wrapped for the whole tour. Yes, go!

Mark Mandelbaum

Ford's second factory that originally produced the Model T and created the assembly process. Houses early model Fords spring the quick progression. Eventually outgrown for the Highland Park factory that contained the first assembly line. Very cool piece of automotive history.

Luis Del Rio

Awesome place. Really nice display of cars, clean, organized and friendly staff.

janie jones

As a wedding venue it was different than anything I had ever been to..

Gabrielle Ekstrum

This is a must see for anyone interested in cars, history, Detroit, etc. I just happened upon this tour availability and I grew up in the area, I feel like I missed out by not experiencing it earlier! Super cool to learn about the Ford history and how the company Ford got it's humble beginnings in the Detroit area! The cars are all privately owned and all tour guides are knowledgeable volunteers. Each visit is a new experience since each tour guide puts on their own spin.

pmkco

A very historic building, the car collection is good, however all the other displays and the gift shop are extremely lacking. The only child friendly activity is a box of match box cars and a filthy playmat carpet.

Carlos Rodríguez

Beautiful historical place

Lab Rat Ninja

Lots of Ford automotive history...not for young kids that can't keep their hands to themselves

Brian Yates

Awesome look back at early automotive history. Excellent selection of old cars, not just Ford's, and knowledgeable folks to provide insight into the history of Ford and early car production. I highly recommend taking a couple of hours to visit this museum!

Mary Fegan

Great tour guide, a lot of history

Deborah Spencer

The plant is a museum of vintage Ford vehicles. It is amazing!.

Sue Rose

We went to a wedding there..

frank mariani

A lot of work went in to the this effort to sense the period of those times. Friendly staff , eager to answer anybody's questions.

Jan Frech

Arrived about 1pm on September 11 thought I was going to through take some pictures... ended up on the tour and over two hours later my head crammed with more knowledge I ever thought possible, right down to the chalk based paint and the 1904 sprinkler system our guide was amazing.

jordon scapp

M Hinges

Super cool museum in probably the coolest space ever.

Bruce menning

Nicely done and well run

jamie jasinski

Fascinating, woderful staff !

Abi Lako

Perfect little piece of history in Detroit! Price point led us to check out Piquette vs. the Henry Ford museum and I'm grateful we did. From the detailed signage that went with the amazing antique displays of innovation to the curators giving tours/walking around and giving details, we had an amazing time and learned so much about the history of a city we live just miles from. $5 for students!

T W

Great history and cars. Worth the time and a few bucks

Heliana E Adiwinata

A very good car museum with knowledgeable guides that will tell you lively stories on Henry Ford early days. Good souvenir shop, lots of photo object. Definitely worth a visit

Ed Hancock

The great selection of old Ford's from the beginning through the middle T we're well worth the visit. Some of the cars hadn't been restored which was very educational. The tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.

Olivier Caron

For $12 and about 2 hours of your time, this is a place worth visiting. The tour guide was knowledgeable, he had a lot of anecdotes to tell, the place was kept clean, cars were shining, and you get to go in an old 1915 Model T to take a picture. Call in advance to know at which time the tours start, you can visit by your own but the tour is definitely better (you can stay after to read all the signs and take pictures). About 4 minute from the Q-Line stop; a bit of a shady neighbourhood but you're in Detroit so this is expected.

Sandeep Kumar

I have been a member for the last two years and I have visited this place almost once every 6 months. This place is unique every single time that I have been there, exhibits change and it is a delight to interact with the people there and get to learn about the automotive history. This place is a must see for locals and visitors alike.

dearborndawg

Wonderful 3 hours on Fathers Day, highly recommended!

Dave Verma

Nice place to appreciate the history of Henry Ford and the Model T. Our tour guide was fabulous. Staff was very friendly . He provided us so much information about the Model T and how Mr. Ford made it the most affordable car available to the common person. It was revolutionary in how it changed society. They had many vintage Model T's and one which you could actually sit in and touch.

Alicia Soret

Awesome place to visit, tons of history and information about our amazing automobile. The building's restoration is a wonder on its own! Our tour guide was fun and friendly and answered all of our questions! He was a retired Ford engineer and was a pleasure to listen to. Thank you so much for the great tour!
