The largest axial meadow, the "Path of the Setting Sun", is aligned so that on the summer solstice the setting sun glows through a precise parting of the trees at the meadow's western end.

Awesome place, loads of history, unfortunately dogs not allowed.

Michael Dingess

Stunning.

Ihsan Deeb

I absolutely love this historical place, but I got kicked out because unfortunately you can't shoot photos here without a daily permit and it's around $150 or so just to take photos of your clients. Seriously? What a bunch of money hungry people, I hope Henry Ford is in his grave right now ashamed of there greediness.

Fair Lane has always been beautiful, but with the restoration they're doing, it's going to be breathtaking once finished. The sneak peek we got was worth not being able to see it for several years. ent with my sister, my husband and adult son for Father's Day weekend auto show. It was wonderful. There were campers from the 50s and 60s too. The best part is we got to do everything we wanted to but couldn't as kids.

Very nice place but on Friday 25 2018 around 6:10pm we were taking prom pictures of my daughter, a Security young African American guy with braids, unprofesional and disrespectful that was on duty came up to us asking if we knew at what time they close. I told him I didnt know and he said these STUPID words...We close at six and you need to get out of here and moving his arms and hands said SO SCOOP...TREATED MY FAMILY LIKE DOGS...I hope his gets FIRED....

John Lane

The grounds in the building's really are pretty fantastic when you consider they were built at the turn of the century. The only downside right now is that it's closed on the weekend for renovations but it is however open during the week. That does not include the main house or tours those are suspended as of now they may resume once the renovations are complete there are no notices giving any explanations. However you can park on the University of Michigan Dearborn campus and walk to the Fairlane house which also known as Henry Ford's house is accessible just by crossing the street. The gardens in the walking trails are still open for the most part. Once the Fall colors of really picked up it's going to be a very beautiful place.

William Pictor

It is closed for remodeling. You can walk the grounds.

Brian Nuorala

It's a step back to a different place in time. The history and people who made a met here were the best of their time.

John Vervoort

Very pretty

Daniel Russell

Very beautiful and relaxing the fountain and garden is great

Ganj Beebani

While the building is closed to the public during the transition, the exterior is still quite beautiful to enjoy. The grounds are designed to simulate nature by the architect Jens Jensen, which includes two meadows, a rose garden, a pond, a treehouse, and a brook which makes a serene sound. Walking all the trails can take up to six hours if you choose not to skip anything. Take a book with you on a relaxing day and read by the brook for a secluded afternoon. Take binoculars to watch the beautiful birds fly by.

Leah

This is my run away to spot when I am overwhelmed by life. This is a beautifully kept treasure in Dearborn. My favorite spot is by the dam. The rushing water and beautiful birds and gardens calm my spirit. Try not to miss this jewel if you come to Dearborn, Mi..

Frank Nemecek

The interior of this legendary historic home is closed for renovations. However, the grounds are open and anyone is welcome to enjoy them. Walking the grounds is a great way to spend an afternoon.

We Love it there. We are on our 3rd generation going and walking the grounds. I miss the restaurant so much. I hope they bring it back also. The restoration work looks good. I can't wait till it is completed.
