Actual artifacts from stage acts with the Early Great Magicians. Back when you had to hold your breath like a Super Human to perform underwater escapes. And train yourself to withstand the effects of ice cold water.

Franklin Ross

Interesting collection of memorabilia re: stage magic. The public display consists of primarily theatrical posters, although there are some good examples of the equipment used by many famous magicians. If you're into magic and its history, you will find this place enjoyable.

Kirk Dittenber

Ask for the guided tour. The info is so worth it.

Lots to look at, no hands on, the short program was fun...

Really cute little museum, especially for the price. I would have liked to see more explanation for some of the pieces in there. In fact, several artifacts had no identifiers at all and left us wondering how they were used. Regardless we enjoyed it quite a lot.

Ben Hess

Never stayed here, but Google thinks I did. Based on that alone you should go here. It's probably awesome.

Kaden Lovdahl

Kristina Wood

Very cool experience. Knowledgeable, lovely staff who showed us the best pieces!

This is one of the largest public collections of magic history and memorabilia in the world. They have items that used to being to Houdini and Blackstone, as well s hundreds of other well known magicians. This is a must see!

Lots of displays, definitely worth the cost of admission. My only complaint is that some of the displays need written descriptions.

Paul Nielsen

If you have any interest in performance magic you won't find any better collection in the world. You may recognize Houdini, Blackstone, Penn, and Teller. Look for the more obscure, unknown, and discover the real mysteries.

What an amazing little gem in the city of more hidden gems, Marshall, MI! I love magic and after hearing about this museum wanted to drive the 35 minutes to check it out. I went on a Thursday morning, right a open time, which meant that I was alone in the quite space to enjoy the wonderful collectibles. A lovely, well put together experience, it surely got me more excited about my amateur hobby. The $5 entry fee seems very fair and reasonable. Plan about a hour there and don't sell yourself short by speeding through.

Not to capitalize on the word but this place is magical. To see the real posters, the real props, to be among the actual milk can Houdini escaped from! If you even like magic this place is amazing. If you are a magician it is nothing short of a necessary pilgrimage to visit this place. Highest possible recommendation.

This is the 2nd largest collection of magical ephemera. It's $5 for a self guided tour. The posters are mostly late 19th century so if you have an interest in the Victorian era you may enjoy this.
