We love visiting Wenham Museum. There is a wonderful display of model train landscapes. It's fun for adults and children. We visited today with our two year old grandniece. She loved it!

This is a wonderful and quaint museum filled with the stuff of real New England. Primarily filled with model trains, there is also a large collection of toy soldiers, doll houses and other bits of fun. My wife was impressed by the illustrator collection. It is always fun to see the original versions from kid's books that I have read over and over. I was here as part of the annual Lego train showing, but I'm glad I got to wander around the museum and take it all in.

A deceptively spacious museum that is a hidden gem for the area! I've been bringing my kids here for six years and they still get excited for the train room. Regularly good for 2+ hours on a rainy or snowy day.

This is a really great museum especially if you have a child who loves trains. They have wonderful model trains running both upstairs and downstairs. They have a little scavenger hunt set up for the trains which makes it even more fun. The learning center downstairs is great for older kids and the train tables in both levels is fun for the little ones.

Fun, interesting and interactive. Something there for everyone. My kids loved the trains and meeting the man that fixes the trains and all the little rooms they could go in and discover. We will be back again. Very enjoyable.

Fun place for the kiddos who are obsessed with trains. A huge room full of model train set ups. Kids can press button to make different trains go around the tracks. Staff are friendly and are happy to answer those "how does it work" kind of questions.

The kids enjoy the rotating events that are held at the museum including train events and lego events. The space has some fun areas for the younger kids to play all the time. The downstairs has a permanent train set up that the kids enjoy.

Very nice museum and learned a lot. Only thing was disappointed the doll collection was on vacation. Will have to plan another visit ehen the doll collection returns.

A small but great museum for kids. There's places where kids can build or play dress up. Downstairs there's a room dedicated to little model trains where you can look for clues in the different areas. There are some nice people who can tell you all about those trains and help you look for Waldo at one of the areas.

The Wenham Museum is awesome. I highly recommend taking your children there. Ages 1 to 100. They have many interactive exhibits for children, plus a room full of model trains. In addition they have some fantastic art and an early New England home. They have many events, so check out their website. I have been children there for year. It keeps getting better with time.

What a wonderful place! From trains, to princesses and fairies, this place does it all for the Community! Excellently run by Kristin Noon. Is a staple stop when visiting the North Shore with kids!

Really good kids museum, lots of trains and some hands-on things to do. It is nice that they have train layouts with different scales, however, not everything was running when we went. Also, for an adult train fan, the layouts are not really that interesting aside from one or two; operationally they are quite simple. But again, this is not a problem at all for kids!

Very, very very cool. My kids really enjoy it here. The staff is very nice and friendly and accommodating. The train room is amazing and we can spend 45 minutes down there alone. It seems like a small place, but it's easy to spend a good deal of time here. I love it. You can bring your lunch and eat it up front in the side provided as well. It's really cute.

Great local place to visit. The kids loved it. There is a good amount of space. There are tables to give the kids snacks on. It's also super clean. The museum is not huge but still a very good size for what it is. It's also great that they regularly change up the exhibits, it helps to keep it interesting and keep us coming back.

We loved it because our 6 year old grandson loved it and its special Lego exhibit. It is a exceptional place to see train layouts and learn the different gauges with over 20 layouts, buttons to press and steps for the little ones. There is a children's castle with a draw bridge, knights shields and foam swords, costumes the kids may wear and staff that will intercede when the activity becomes near out of hand.

My train-obsessed son loved all the train exhibits. Most of the model train set-ups are looking pretty dated. In fact, I had a bit of deja-vu and swore most of it hadn't changed much since when I went as a kid. Still, they have hands on stuff which was fun for the kids and it is a cute local take.

Sweet little museum. Fabulous working train exhibits, easily accessible to children of all ages! Extensive, behind glass display of antique soldiers as well. Cute bunny area downstairs, perfect for younger children. Hands on pretend planting garden, coloring station, rabbit hutch, perfect for reading to your children, bunny bean bag toss and a yoga station for the kids. Also fun area to climb on a wooden train and play with pretend ice blocks. Small area to eat if you bring snack/lunch along with books to read to your children. Cute gift shop. A true gem of a museum!
