REVIEWS OF MASS MoCA IN Massachusetts

Natalia Rezende

There's something for everyone here. Came here for the first time last November and I didn't know what to expect. Everything is so visually interesting and creative. Some exhibits are interactive where you can step into a pitch black room and let your eyes do all the work and other you step into this white blank space and colors change all around you. Out of this world. Very cool spot worth checking out.

Cole Grinder

Great place to just enjoy a relaxing day $12 student $20 adult prices. Exhibits change pretty quickly so always a good place to come back to visit more than once. Buildings are a little confusing to get around even with a map.

Mark Pierson

It's HUGE! It's Seriously like the Disneyland of the art world...I mean that in a good way as in its shear size and variety of art from small to gigantic. It's really incredible. You really need more than 2 days to really appreciate what they've got. It made me feel like a kid again, it mad me angry, sad...the pieces evoked most of my emotions during my 2 day stint. I'm planning on going back soon.

Brendan Davis

Great art museum hosted the Solid Sound Festival. Add this destination to any New England weekend trip through the Berkshires and western Massachusetts.

Emerson Constant

great for kids so fun and has so much to do. Great food

Connie Feight

Fun & thought-provoking art museum. Modern & contemporary art exhibits. Upcoming large-sized installation looks amazing (under construction now): opens 3/9/19

Fun place to go when they price is right

Colleen Wallace

Must-see for all art fans!!! A great diversity of art in all mediums is displayed in an old electric factory complex. SO much to see, and the town of North Adams is lovely.

Robert Berman

If you love modern art, this is the place for you! Amazing collection in a series of converted factory buildings. There's a lot to see here so give yourself at least a full day if not two. Price of admission includes 2 days which is helpful.

colleen o'reilly

Gorgeous space. Super friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful exhibits and so varied there is something for everyone. Spend an afternoon. Spend the weekend. The town looks like a great little vacation spot.

Alexx Breton

Has a lot of fun exhibits to explore. The virtual reality was my favorite one with my friend working at it.

Jonathan Hokklo

Most likely one of the worlds best modern museum there is! All the great American artists plus a ton of events and concerts makes this a place to come back to many times! There’s also a very good brewery and an amazing bbq place! Also the architecture of the place it self it’s alone worth a visit

BJisagraduateofjuliard

Great art and wonderful children's area! Will definitely be back to this fine establishment

Dylan Polin

Absolutely best museum experience in mass. Plan a full day for this place!

John Ritz

Great people watching (the other patrons). Keep an open mind and you'll find something you like in the art. Be sure to look around the corners...this place is big and there are hidden treasures everywhere.

Autumn Miller

Worked a music festival here and absolutely loved it. So thankful I got to see this place.

Ella Kuperman

Best museum I have ever seen! If you can, if you love art, do yourself a favor and go. It is huge and we only had 2 hours so we will have to come back...

Andrea Cornaglia

Wow. Drove all the way from NYC and this place is so worth it. The Turrel spaces were amazing! Having so much space allows for exhibits that would be impossible in Manhattan.

Allan Benoit

Mass MOCA what a JOKA lol just playing I live here in the city All my Life seen alot of different travelers in town the appellations runs thru the City as well.

Marcus Burnett

Amazing space! Love the interactive parts.

Emily Booker

Wonderful museum with fun, engaging exhibits. Definitely give yourself lots of time, it's a huge museum and can easily take an entire day. If you're a student, bring your ID for a discount.

Sarcastic Syringe2020

always something interesting going on at mass Moca. It’s really the hub of north adams.

Jacques Suriner

Can give a true review being I've only been to the parking lot to drop school kids off but place always looks nice and everybody comes out with a smile

Teresa Wise

Loved the atmosphere and the steak tips were perfect. Suoerb cocktails.Very accommodating and very nice. They stayed open a little past what they were going to just to serve my friend and I.

Jeff Curran

Me just for the mystery of modern art in this old factory turned into massive gallery and entertainment

Dean Remy

Good and very unique exhibits. Clean, large even expansive place which can be tricky to navigate. Like also that there is an adjoining brewery and coffee roaster there do great location to while away the time.

Julie Ceccaldi

Stunning and inspiring. A great escape.

Marybeth Kennedy

Fun, eclectic, thought-provoking exhibits. You could spend a couple of days exploring all the nooks and crannies of this cool place.

Andrew Wittkamper

There is just so much to see here. From a whole building of wall art, to outdoor installations and a space travel vehicle, and so many types of different art pieces. This place is full of weird pieces that made me think and wonder and marvel.

guppyheaven

The largest modern art installments you may ever see

nessa lee

The art here is like all right I've never seen anywhere else very cool place but definitely come back and recommend it to my friends

Fred L

Wonderful museum in the factory footprint of the former Sprague Electric Company. Restaurant and Microbrewery on the premises!

Jeremiah Washington

Great place to get inspiration. They focus a lot on experience pieces that you have to put a little effort into understanding them. If you go, find what the pieces mean to you and what they mean to the artist. Get a different perspective, move around. Staff is professional and helpful

DAVID ARGENTIERI

Jewel of the Berkshires. Here today for the Fresh Grass Fest... 3 days of some of the finest musicians in the world in a laid back vibe!

Paul Ware

What can one add to 5 stars! This is a major museum to visit. If you love James Turrell's work, you will not be disappointed here.

John Kennedy

Really such a great place to visit. The artwork is mind blowing. The buildings themselves are worth seeing.

Dennis Pritsker

Came for Solid Sound. Would come back for the new exhibits. Very well organized, and the art is priority here.

ren

Really great place to take kids or teenagers or adults so much stuff to look at although the food is pricey it’s certainly yummy.

Mariah Y

Super expansive, but single tickets cover two days and it's worth it. You'll want to come for two days. Staff is also really lovely

Jesse Egan Poirier

Absolutely massive. Crazy in the best way. Always fresh and daring. Ever ambitious. Surpisingly, this museum really knows how to party!

Ron Beck

This is a MUSEUM! !!!!!!!!!!! I know google wants pictures, maybe in a few weeks. Music, amazing exhibits, helpful staff, guides, security, food, cannot say enough about how much I love this place.

Sara Ribeiro

I loved this museum. The ticket allows you to visit the museum in two days. I love the interactive arts! Remember to schedule a time in advance, otherwise you'll spend much time waiting to enjoy the interactive rooms.

Jeff Reynolds

Went to see a performance in the Hunter Center and it was absolutely amazing! Not to mention the 250,000 square feet of gallery space! If you attend a show, you're granted admission to the gallery for $10 (MORE THAN WORTH IT, EVEN FOR A FULL PRICE ADMISSION). There's so much unique art on display that there wasn't even enough time to see it all before the show. Will definitely be going back as soon as possible! Highly recommend for ANY person, young and old who enjoys art!

John Ryan

Absolutely brilliant! Many of the permanent exhibits were sensory immersions that left me stimulated and wishing I could spend more time with each. The Kidspace was a delightful cafe of art. Kids select from a menu of supplies and/or collaborate on a shared painting. I got what I paid for even with the $20 / head admission. Worth a membership, as there is enough here to make multiple trips a year worthwhile.

Mariah Kurtz

Awesome museum - bring friends, family or foe - all will love it. Summer concerts are the best, and their free day in January is always a blast. Great for kids or adults, not only beautiful art but a beautiful space as well. Check out the BBQ and brewery.

Dolores Delgado

Fabulous museum, great exhibitions along with some wonderful interactive installations. Well worth a visit.

Luke Craig

I love this gallery so much! They always have interesting pieces (sadly I don’t think I’m allowed to post images of the pieces themselves). I’ve come here a lot and there definitely are times when the art isn’t as interesting as other times, but generally it’s pretty fascinating and diverse. I especially love their use of the space for the art inside and out.

Ercan J. Bastug

Always impressive to see the product of the innovative minds. One can spend the whole day in here and not get bored. Love it !!!

Anthony Batchelor

Very modern museum. Definitely do the interactive video

gary h

Not particularly thrilling but a few good things. And they're grinding their liberal axe... Lose the axe and get some significant art.

Irma Zandl

One of the best museums of contemporary art I’ve seen great work, beautifully installed.

M Borrus

You’ll get lost in this museum in a good way. It’s comprised of multiple old factory buildings and that means you weave in and out of huge doors and old raised tunnel/shafts. The installations are always changing, but my favorite is the airstream trailer which is outside next to the big pink “phalanges”, up the stairs of the boiler. Very easy to miss, and a shame if you do. Highly recommend visiting for a day, an hour, or just to see the grounds. Food inside the museum is just a-okay, but the food outside A-Okay Barbecue is very good.

Matthew Wheeler

Beautiful facility showing some really cool works of art. This style (modern/contemporary) is hot or miss with me. But a really good portion of it really spoke to me. Staff was super friendly including a security guard who have is the history of the building. The food in the cafe, while pricey, was really good.

Josiah Nedd

One of the largest, best, contemporary art museums in the country, maybe the world. This place never ceases to amaze me in the 15 or so years that I've been visiting. The gallery spaces are massive and the installations are too. you can easily spend a whole day here but should plan for at least 4 hours. There are so many buildings and so much to see, and it's all so very interesting.

Lisa Witkin

Unusual. We were at a wedding and that was beautiful. But overall the museum didn't grab my attention

ABS ABS

The current exhibit s are very disappointing. Was here 2 years ago and was so impressed it was a must go again but what a disappointment. The videography display was cool and interesting, the rest was not worth the trip. The "feature" exhibit this summer has to be the worst in my history of decads of museums. I gave it 2 stars being hopeful it will get better with the next exhibits.

Japheth Wood

Worth a day of exploring. Very eclectic collection that sprawls across the buildings and structures of a the former Sprague Electric Company. Not entirely kid friendly: red-shirted docents stalk kids with their fingers wagging in some sections, tut-tutting and sh-sshing. But other sections are fantastic for kids, like the art bar and the Gunnar Schonbeck exhibit, where it's all hands-on to make music with this fantastical collection of oversize and hand crafted instruments. Leave the museum for lunch at the BBQ, and great a handcrafted beer at the brewery, all within the Mass MoCA compound. There's a delicious ice cream counter as well.

Bruce Barnett

More interesting for the huge re-purposed spaces than for the exhibitions contained therein.

Jonathan Cogswell

Kronos Quartet and Andrew Bird in particular, were phenomenal! And it has just started!

Amanda Coleman

Was a fun experience definitely trippy in some parts but it was an interesting find. Would go again!

Allen Juda

Wonderful museum in old brick factories that have been renovated into a great artistic and educational adventure. Art work videos, sculptures, and participation art combine to entertain and challenge the visitor. Coffee shop, cafe and gift shop. Plenty of parking.

Tamara Osborn

The buildings were the show stopper for me. I loved meandering through the maze and discovering surprises around every corner. Art was curated well. I even grabbed a sandwich from the cafe and it was fresh and delicious! Will make another trip here next time I'm in the area.

Jeffrey Meyers

While we don't love a lot of the art here, there are enough pieces that are cool enough to make it a fun day. Nice food options as well and its proximity to the Clark makes a great combo museum experience.

david koekje

Nice buildings and great atmosphere. You do have to check where what is, so that you won't walk in circles.

Bernardo Marques

Contemporary art museum with huge galleries. You won't be able to explore all expositions in just one day. They have great AR experiences, but you should schedule it online prior to your visit, otherwise it will probably be overbooked. They also have sensorial experiences with optical illusion.

Mark Zettler

We love this place!! Off the wall enough to keep us coming back year after year for something new and thought provoking. Can't wait to go back again.

Jonathan Tidman

Good food and drink, fresh beers served with a friendly hand. Pricey but worth it when you account the portions. I liked the Mac and cheese, flat bread and cheese board.

Raymond Hickok

Pretty interesting and unique. I can see why they give you two days with one admission there is a lot of stuff to cover.

Christopher Smith

I really like the old buildings and the Sol LeWitt installations

Alex Mikulich

Great museum of contemporary art with superb musical and artistic events. Wonderful brewery and barbecue on same premises.

Delphine Ettinger

One of the largest gallery in the world. We spent 2 days in there discovering art from famous and infamous artists. It is very well curated.

Jim B

World class art. Very big place

Michael McGrath

Great venue for The Pretenders concert 7/26.

Amreen Rafique

It's place where you go in and say Wow.Fantastic experience.Learned so much.

Steve Leone

Transcendent experience with the sound and collage exhibits. Well-designed to experience art in a day -- and what a beautiful setting. Love North Adams!

Joe Moran

Truly awe-inspiring art installations and performances with an industrial vibe. Hands down, one of my favorite art experiences. We loved MASS MoCA so much we puchased a small vacation home in North Adams within walking distance. Can't recommend enough.

patrice mcmahon

This is a poor venue for concerts. The acoustics are quite bad. It was sad to see a great band such as the Pretenders with muddled sound and poor visibility. The event was oversold. It was filthy before the show even started. And worst of all, the patrons were over served. Not a good combo when there is no mass transit and all roads home are windy and dark.

Bree Gaddy

After hearing so much about this museum, it was definitely worth the trip. So much to see and such a wide variety of mediums. We didnt see everything, definitely worth many more trips.

Yani M

A must visit museum. 4 of the installations require reservations so make sure you make them in advance if coming on a busy day. We live in Rhode Island and we’d been wanting to come to Mass MoCa for about two years and finally found the perfect occasion- the 3D concert of Flying Lotus that took place inside the museum and oh boy, what an awesome experience! The show was sick and we got to spend the whole next day exploring different parts of the the museum. Turrell’s Hind Sight was a great meditative experience and we really enjoyed all of his pieces.

Liz Csordas

Very cool space! Enjoyed the campus tremendously. Lots of small businesses around too which are cool.

Karin&Thomy Kehrli

Excellent art hotspot embedded in a unique and spectacular location. Definetly worth a detour!

Stephanie Stoudenmire

Absolutely a must see! This is more than a museum it is an experience unlike anything else. The drive there is beautiful the town is adorable too ❤️

jim benedict

A must see internationally known gallery. Take good walking shoes.

Barbara Albert

Interesting contemporary installation using unusual materials. Interpretive labels are few and far between.

Jake

A great place for people of all ages to explore modern art.

S Tower

This is the most fabulous museum. You experience these huge pieces of art and can walk right up to them. The special exhibit is always fascinating and thought provoking. And their collection of sol lewitt is amazing. A must see!

Laura Edelstein

Phenomenal physical structure and grounds. Galleries, dining and snack stands, modern conceptual art. A must visit when in Ma.

Lisa Kaiser

Wonderful! Give yourself the whole day to see it. We had a great time.

Rebekeh Packer

Seeing Les Nubians here as part of the O+ festival was a complete joy. The Mass MoCA staff/volunteers serving drinks were hilarious and helpful, there were multiple seating and dancing options, and the care that went into the festival was evident in the passion of organizers and performers.

Cucphuong Nguyen

Beautiful. Wonderful exhibition. Very good cafeteria.

Martin Evans

A good day out in a really interesting old factory building. I may not have appreciated all of the art in the way that it was intended, but it was still fun to look around. As a bonus, the was a folk group playing informally in the cafeteria area who were absolutely fantastic. Well worth a visit.

Rachel Herrick

Fantastic. Definitely in the top few of all the museums I’ve ever been to in the world. Kid and stroller friendly. Don’t plan on having a quick visit. This needs a good half day!

gabrielle hadley yarosh

Very cool place to spend a day, if you want to see everything, it may take up to two. It's quite expansive! All of the galleries and exhibits were well laid out and quite easy to find. We went on a weekend, it was slightly crowded so weekdays are probably best. Parking is a bit of a pain, the lot next to the building is always full, look for the alternate parking signs and don't waste your time!

Forest Handford

Mass MoCA is my favorite art museum because it's interactive. I've been visiting about once a year for 15 years. My kids love the kid space. The only complaint I have is that they asked me to hold my "backpack purse" in my hands rather than have it on my shoulders which got really heavy through the day.

Alexander Genkin

Huge spaces allow every artist to be well presented. A dozen buildings filled with objects, and each one of them will challenge you. One can easily spend whole day there, and in that case - good food!

Lew Reed

Great time. Very large place. Lots to see. It was my first time experiencing this place and would definitely come back again to check out the ever changing art exhibits.

José Pita Juárez

My favorite contemporary art museum yet. It is huge, beautiful and has a myriad of options from VR to installations. It is an amazing place that deserves at least a full day, preferably two.

Adam Sweet

I came here with my family a few years back to see the gallery. We were not impressed with the selection of art and felt that we were overcharged for the experience.

Chase Demick

Beautiful art and a great atmosphere, along with friendly staff and eye-catching events.

Christina Pisano

Welcoming place with many different artistic vibes. Whether it's from the displayed arts or the structure of the buildings it's self as for it once was SPRAGUE'S ELECTRIC. The added bonus is it's surrounding beautiful nature.

Ken Beckett

A nice museum, if you're into contemporary art.

Lauren Ijomah

I wasn't sure what to expect from this museum, but wow was I impressed. It's more like an "experience" than just an art museum. Even the buildings that hold the artwork feel and look like art themselves, with visual and auditory art incorporated into the tunnels between buildings. The Lure of the Dark exhibit was incredible. Everything was incredible! I am already trying to figure out when I can make the 2 hour drive to go back for another visit.

Steven Yi

Incredible space for art, loved the selections for exhibits and look forward to coming back again in the future.

Claudia Dunlevy

very diverse types of art. something for everyone!

Unknown Error

Great museum with wonderful volunteers. We were there for Solid Sound. Good times!

Michael Currie

A truly stunning experience! We hadnt been here in years, but they have really done a nice job expanding and creating an awesome place to hang out. The area restaurants are a perfect touch to the grounds of the MoCA.

olive kate flower

Fantastic and fun museum. The best attraction in North Adams, Doesn't take itself too seriously, and always has new exhibits to check out! Definitely make appointments for the James Turrell pieces before you go! They're unforgettable experiences.

Jonathan Hollander

Someone dumped their junk on the museum instead of a younger sibling, and they claim it's art. I do not understand why people like modern art (they have a section dedicated to simple drawings a 5 year-old can draw). Though, the Suffering From Realness gallery was amazing and impressive.

M Farrington

Great museum. Fun exhibits some the size of city blocks.

Joseph Tansino

World-class contemporary and modern art museum. Exhibits included Sol LeWitt and Laurie Anderson.

Kimberly Gordon

Lots of fun, a great place to visit with the kids or without. The building itself is amazing. We had lunch at the cafe there and were happy with the food it was good and not extremely overpriced.

Adrian Dunn

Total trip. Just go! Art in a setting if beautiful old Mill walls. Lunch downstairs.

Sam Brodsky

Super fun museum. Could spend all day here.

M Rose

I love this establishment! The staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable and the overall experience (we were there to see Spanglish fly) was fantastic. Planning to go again in the near future!

Lisa Gould

One fantastic experience with a fresh grass festival. Will most likely return as it was a pleasant place in early autumn.

Zlatan Aksamija

Mind-blowing, amazing, enjoyable, and fun. Never overcrowded. One of the best places to visit in Western Mass! I go there at least twice a year, always something new to see and experience.

simon kilbane

Loved my visit here. James turrell expo was especially great!

Siobhan Reid

Fabulous museum! Amazing exhibits and check out the amazing homemade soup in the cafe

Josh Godman

Such a cool space with interesting art, nice people and fascinating experimental music. Avant garde yet approachable in the best way possible.

Zachary Kemp

My dog died on the way to the gallery but the art and atmosphere of Mass MOCA cheered me up. I also got to see flying lotus which was nice

Paul Toombs

Located in a large sprawling brick factory complex with huge exhibition spaces allows for very large and impressive exhibits. It is breath taking and easy to get lost literally and figuratively in the immersive experience. I went alone on FREE FUN FRIDAY but would not hesitate to return with my family and pay the full admission.

Steven Santoro

A gem in the middle of the woods. The building and the feeling of it’s own history is one of the best “installations” in the museum. So even if at some point you end up scratching your head about a specific exhibit that you’re having a hard time justifying as art, just take a breath, walk around and look at the space itself. The sheer size of it, the layers that had been added through the years then scraped away, the influence of time itself without the slightest intention of art, the light streaming through the former factory, the ghosts of some forgotten everyday life. It’s an interesting place. Saw Roomful Of Teeth last night. Great performance. I really need to come more often to see these shows. The big question is, “where the hell do you go when the show is over at 10:30pm? If you’re from anywhere besides north Adams you’ll be driving home on some dark and windy road. Maybe a hotel or air B and B is a good idea for future concert visits.

Gary Pratt

Mass MoCA is a spectacular museum. Dynamic in many forms. This museum can be visited multiple times per year because they are always adding new exhibits. I cannot recommended James Turrell's Into The Light, enough. Hindsight is by far my favorite. It's simply a dark room but, what happens is mind blowing.

Carl Forman

Not really my cup of tea. I guess art is in the eye of the beholder, not mine. I just didn't get it.

Ray Venezia

Lots of great artwork. The Cafe has some great coffee and brownies too. Will definitely go back and spend more time there.

Huang Harvey

Huge museum. Always has a lot of going on here. Worth a visit.

Madeline Hope

My favorite museum. Always interesting and stunning exhibits. Literally have had my breath taken away a few times here! Their cafe is also a good place to grab a quick bite!

Margaret Powell

You definitely need the allotted two days to explore this space. Exhibits change often and can literally take your breath. Take your time and learn about the artists. The guides are marvelous ! Don't hesitate to stop in to one of the shops for am imaginative bite to eat. Also, don't forget the brewery... Parking is easy, so no reason not to visit soon!

James Southard

A land of wonder, frozen in time, with little words to prepare you for what you’re about to witness. Brace yourselves and bit deep.

Lauren G

A bit more guidance for the little eyes would be helpful.

Bloom XxX

Amazing and nostalgic one of many unique art museums in the Berkshire County MA

Brianna Fenn

What a beautiful place for a festival! Loved my experience here!

Viera Levitt

Inspiring and ever growing, this is a wonderful museum to visit. There is a cafe and room dedicated to kids. Plan to spend half day to fully enjoy the museum.

Dominique RS

Great place to go for a weekend. Lots of cool art to see and maybe you can also catch a concert.

Lorraine Kalisz

Always a unique experience. The art will definitely start a conversation. We are lucky to have this world class museum in North Adams.

Ashley Helvey

Favorite place on earth! Not only do they have great works from some of the best, Sol, Louise, Turrell, etc. they have incredible dry rubbed bbq and a beer hall for after your long days! It definitely takes two days so plan ahead, treat yourself and stay at Tourists Lodge!

222cze

Amazing. It's in an old brick industrial building and it's absolutely huge. We've been there two times this month and still haven't seen everything. We've been enthralled by all of the art, it's hard to pick a favorite.

Lucas Patenaude

Had a great time at the Solid Sound festival. Good music, good food, great museum

Shannon Kauderer

Absolutely lovely and gigantic place. Be ready to walk and enjoy the art. We took about four hours and not once felt crowded despite many other people being there. Well definitely go again next time they have a new show!

John Casey

A fun surprise in almost every gallery. Lots of walking. Curator has a good sense of humor. Two hours was ideal. Will return.

Michael Pigott

We went down for the Solid Sound Festival and were delighted by the installations and other works. It's also a living example of America's early manufacturing years and a poignant reminder of how towns need to reinvent themselves as times change.

Lyudmila Arbit

The building is the most memorable part of the museum experience. The art contained within is not as impressive, with the exception of LeWitt's wall paintings and some interesting light installations. The rest is either: a) overly political, almost propaganda-like, b) disturbing or c) confusing. A large proportion of it consists of videos, with some photos and very few paintings and sculptures. The cafeteria and facilities are quite good, as noted in other reviews.

Odd the mute

Amazing collection of art in a beautiful town. The mind of the mound installation is mind blowing. The perfect day trip.

Catharine Hamilton

Such a fascinating place with much more the art exhibits. The history of what the museum used to be is also interesting. In addition, North Adams seems to have a lot to offer: farmers market, hiking, restaurants , other museums (e.g., where you can learn about the Hoosic Tunnel). Love coming for the FreshGrass Festival every year because there's great live music and a whole lot more.

Bob Agentis

This museum is inspirational. Learned some new framing techniques as well.

Hunter Lacomis

Mind blowing contemporary museum that doubles as a beautiful wedding venue.

Jean Howard

We were there for a wedding so didn't get to see much of the art. The wedding was beautifully done as far as the way the rooms were set up, but the food not impressive. Most of the things on my plate were cold when served

Claudio Mendoza

There are few places in the world where contemporary art is given the space it demands. I have only found two: Arsenale di Venezia and the Mass MoCA, the latter on a recent pilgrimage to the Berkshires. It took us two solid days to get more or less acquainted with the well-curated installations. James Turrell's "Into the Light" and Laurie Anderson's "Chalkroom" and "Aloft" are a must but require reservation in advance. We recommend the combo Clark Institute, Bennington Museum, and Mass MoCA (two days if you ask Megan or Isabel at the front desk), but you will probably need resuscitation before you take it all in.

Alex Rodriguez

Mass Moca has an amazing ambience thats not to be missed. A chill relaxation place to listen to some tunes and just have a great time.

Alex Keckeisen

MASS MoCA is a truly profound and one of a kind modern art museum. The museum has a number of thought-provoking exhibits that stimulate every sense you have. My recommendation is to sign up in advance for the virtual realtor exhibits. They are a unique use of the technology that challenges your senses and reality of what is real. I have never been to a museum like MASS MoCA and highly recommend it!

Gary Benoit

It is a pretty nice location to spend an evening, especially after hiking in the picturesque mountains of North Adams, searching for those beautiful waterfalls. This location has a nice craft brewery and a very good BBQ joint right across from it. It also has a few nice boutique shops to browse around in. I actually give this a 4.5 star rating; definitely worth the trip

mj gant

Fantastic Museum, but be sure to try AOK BBQ if it's open. Really good brisket, on a truly lovely made there brioche bun. Am sure all is great, but as a displaced Texan, I keep going back for the beef sandwich ( I get slaw on side....as I said, Texas). Take it with you, eat outside at picnic tables, or across the walk.....they'll deliver to the brewery there. Great bbq, lovely service....what's not to like?

Martina Lopez

MASS MoCA is honestly one of my favorite places I've been to. it's huge, so remember to plan ahead for at least a three hour visit. the staff is very friendly and helpful, and they have some pretty good sandwiches (although they can be a bit pricey, so I tend to go somewhere else for food). it's overall just a great place to go for anyone who likes art. kids will love it, too.

Stephen G

Amazing and interesting permanent displays. Love the rotating exhibits. Been here a number of times and always find something that blows my six off. Learn something Everytime I show up. Worth going as a destination. Plan to spend 4-8 hours to do it right.

Jaime Alvarez

Fabulous space for art music and culture that opens the mind. I just wish the galleries would change more often. Except for this one. It should be permanent. Lol.

Phyllis A Sears

No place else like it. Take the tour, free with admission. Don't miss the Sol LeWitt.
