You will see all the opinions of people like you who buy the products of Martha\'s Vineyard Museum (Museum) in the state of Massachusetts.

Now this firm has a score of 4.4 over 5 and this score has been calculated on 92 reviews.

You must have seen that the average score it has is really good, and it's based on a very large number of scores, so we may say that the assessment is quite reliable. If people have bothered to give their review when they are happy with the business, is that it works.

As you know, we do not usually stop to write feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

REVIEWS OF Martha's Vineyard Museum IN Massachusetts

Sally Callahan

We had the best tour of the museum today with Phyllis. She was so informative and lovely! Thank you!

It is a museum of interest to both young and old minds, but suffers from pretty obvious mis-management. The front desk team seemed to teeter between complete inability to run a gift shop transaction and confusion as to what was and was not a part of the museum’s facilities. Keep in mind getting in the door is a cool $18, so knowing what you’re paying for is recommended. The outdoor portions of the museum - from a barn full of implements and boats to a stone garden that was under construction - were in fact quite interesting and were *free*. The renovated building is itself a marvel, as well.

A true treat! The view is wonderful and exhibits are fantastic. Whether it's your first time on the island or you've been coming for years, I highly recommend checking out this new repository of local history.

Charm, romance, the sea, great people, interesting history, walkable towns, and the best carousel in the US.

Very cool museum with some great exhibits. If you have not been, you should go, it is well worth the visit, and something to do on a cloudy day when the beach is not an option!

A nice little museum. Some of the exhibits could use more curation though.

There is not much to see here and they charge a handsome entrance fee. Go elsewhere to visit. There are many other better places to visit on the island.

Just beautiful

Outstanding local history museum in a beautifully refurbished historic Marine hospital. Small, but very informative, and I especially enjoyed the room featuring the history of music on Martha's Vineyard. The huge lens from a former lighthouse is also fascinating.

Becky Kelly

Beautiful museum. We had a wonderful tour guide and his colorful stories made it 10 times better.

"Research Librarian" Bow Van Riper presents information authoritatively, but the information he provided at a recent presentation was inaccurate. He misinformed the public. In addition, it was utterly rude of him to go to sleep in the front row at the Chilmark Public Library after his own portion of the program had concluded.

The museum was awesome. Glad I was able to fit it into my schedule before I go back to Illinois. I would definitely visit Museum again on my next trip.

It's beautiful on the inside. Lots of original artifacts. A wealth of informative displays for a smaller museum. The staff was really helpful. There are guided tours, but I did a self tour.

This is a pleasant and home-grown museum. There's a room of MV history, a room on shipwrecks and recovered artifacts, and a fresnal lens taken from the Gay Head (Aquinnah) lighthouse. The museum takes about an hour. Be sure to listen to the audios from residents from times past.

Kemar Griffiths

Shows a very detail progression of the island's history to present date, good place to go if your curious about the real Martha's Vineyard.

Aldo Overcomer

Not worth the entrance fee. Rather boring.

All things MV, great stories and so much history.

Evan Hall

Beautifully restored site with gorgeous views of the harbor and lagoon. The site boasts a fascinating art collection on the 2nd floor and engaging exhibits on the first and basement. Expect to spend about an hour here. Once you're finished, it's a five-minute walk to downtown Tisbury. If you're curious about the history of Martha's Vineyard, this is the place to go!

Lovely museum. We spent about 90 minutes here. It's airy and beautiful, with a wide array of interesting information from early history to shipwrecks to the island music scene. Great mix of audio, visual, and hands-on information. Good selection of food in the cafe and a nice spot to eat. They could use a coat rack area, but they do have lockers. Admission is a little pricey. The historical vehicle area does not yet have signage.
