We offer you the feddbacks of people like you who used the services and products of EcoTarium (Museum) in the state of Massachusetts.
At present the business gets a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 1295 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is virtually the highest, and it is founded on a high number of opinions, so we may think that the valuation is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum corresponds to the category of Museum.
The kids always enjoy their time here. Great staple exhibits and seasonal exhibits. Highly recommend for any age group.
It is pretty pricy as a one time visit, but if you are local, buying a membership is definitely the way to go and it pays for itself with very few visits. Also, the membership gets you free admission or discounts on lots of other children's museums and science centers. It also gets you a discount on the train and planetarium. It's been worth every penny for us! My 4 year old loves both the indoor and outdoor exhibits. Since we are local, we often go for short visits at times that are not very busy. All the animals on exhibit are rescues, meaning that they are not able to live in the wild. We had our son's birthday party here twice and had a great experience both times. I would say that the exhibits are geared toward the younger crowd. Once they hit middle school it's probably not as interesting. We usually bring our own food if we will be at the Ecotarium during a mealtime. The cafe has very limited hours and menu and aside from that, there are only vending machines.
Me and my daughter love spending the day here seeing the exhibits and riding the train! So fun and you get a GREAT admission discount with ebt for families on low income looking for things to do, it only cost 2 bucks instead of 18 with ebt card! Can't beat that!
Due to weather ot able to experience the outside exhibits!
This place has been a life saver since we've moved to Worcester. We were gifted a membership for the year and rain, sun, snow, this place is a great option for kids. We loved the outdoor bubble exhibit, playground and train in the Summer. In the colder months all of the different indoor exhibits, games, activities, preschool story hour were excellent. We went every other week and my kids were once never bored. We're definitely renewing our membership for another year. Great hidden gem in Worcester!
Definitely not worth the cost if admission. The red fox looks like it has mange. The skunks were pacing back and forth looking for a way out. There was a stuffed otter at the otter exhibit presumably to make you think that the otters were actually present. The wind machine seemed to be the biggest hit. The exterior stairs to from the main entrance to the parking lot were crumbling and metal tread edge pieces were just waiting to trip or cut someone. The exhibits were no better than a middle school if not elementary school science fair.
Great family spot, lots of activities to challenge thinkers of all ages.
It was fun and educational for the kids.
I attended the Halloween event. Wow I was impressed with all the activities for kids and adults. Well planned. Fun for all. I will definitely be back to see all the activities such as the planetarium. Great event! Thanks Ecotarium.
Lovely time out with my family. Lots of fun activities. Learned that venus flytraps are native to the north and south carolinas!
It's not a bad little diversion for an hour or two but I feel as though it's gone downhill a bit. Some interactive displays aren't working. Other displays look rundown. Really like the place however they need some updates. Perhaps it's just lack of funding.
Kids had a blast! Lots to see!
Pricey if you come in from out of town once a year. But a steal if you live locally and get an annual membership. My son loves it here. They have such a variety of exhibits and events all year round. Not to mention they're unveiling the mountain lion exhibit next month! Can't wait!
I went there with a group. This place is good for kids. It’s full of fun and learning at the same time. I recommend people to bring their children here to have fun. Staff and live animals, science stuff and engineering kind of. There is also video theater which opens at certain times. Check before you go to benefit from all these.
Great place to take kids.Lots of hands on activities and a nice playground. The Hurricane wind tunnel is always a big hit!
Such a fun place to go with kids!
New England winter would be A LOT harder with my kids if we didn't have an Ecotarium membership. This is our go-to place on cold days. I love that there is indoor and outdoor space for the kids. The outdoor space is worth the membership in and of itself. If you get a membership it pays for itself rather quickly.
A small combination science museum and zoo. Clearly operating on a limited budget, but doing a good job of it.
Nice place full of curious things.
Fun environment for kids, reasonably priced. Outdoor and indoor activities. The outside playground is expansive and enriching. Consistently updated schedule of activities hosted by staff. Clean, including bathrooms. Would recommend bringing your own snacks but vending machines are available. Would anticipate that the general age range who would enjoy this the most is 2-9. Seasonal events: sledding, pumpkin fest, new years celebration, earth day events. Also, an increased focus on adult events sprinkled throughout the year.
Overnight with girl scouts. Amazing overnight programing and staff. Highly recommended.
Cool. Not huge but good fun for kids
Great place to come even for the young at heart
Kids had fun. I personally think that is too expensive for what you have. I had the 4 kids and spent nearly 100 dollars and when we walked in the bubbles was the best part. Update. I noticed that the owner only comment back on 5 stars reviews. I suggest you try to answer everyone. Even the bad reviews.
A lot to see here to keep lids occupied inside and out. Inside, there are three floors of exhibits to keep kids occupied learning about physics, animals, innovation, weather, all sprts of stuff for inquiring minds. There is also a nice little break room equipped with vending machines and microwave. The staff is very helpful and give excellent presentations. We went to a presentation about magnetic and electric forces on Free Friday. The presenter was clear, engaging, knowledgeable, and just all-around great win kids. There is a nice shaded playscape area and cool animals outside. The baby mountain lions are a must see--and they wont be babies long, so go check them out!
It was fun and informative!
Loved to bubble station.
I have loved this place ever since I was a child. Seeking this place grow and develop while keeping all the charms of its past is truly wonderful. They keep the museum interesting and interactive by having new exhibits rotate regularly. They also have events throughout the year that are a joy for all! This is truly a hidden gem of Worcester.
Great indoor and outdoor science museum. Highly recommend for an afternoon with the kids.
Everything is very spread out, so it is a long day to get through it all. The exhibits were alright.
Large, informative museum with fun activities.
Definitely a great place to take kids. I would say it's that Children's Museum with a special emphasis on science. We took our 3 year old there, and there was plenty for her to do. But I would see the best age would be 8 and up. The activities push at motor and cognitive skills that really teach science concepts. I loved it as an adult!
Went on a field trip with my niece. Lots of nice interactive activities. She and the other kids really enjoyed it.
Very fun and different! Wish there was a bit more to do but overall was a great school field trip!
Extremely interesting and engaging for me and my nephew. Can't wait to go back and experience more.
Great science/nature museum and outdoor exhibits and trails. My six year old and three year old both loved the exhibits, particularly getting to play outside. Make sure you buy your tickets to ride the train early in the day, even if you want to ride later... We missed out on it because it was sold out.
Small, but lots of well up kept exibits. In winter, most of the outdoor experiences are closed, plan 2 to 3 hours. In summer, there are far more things to see, plan over a half day. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, make sure to stop by the owl and eagle exhibit around 2pm to see them get fed.
Blown away by the amount of parent-child I displays both inside and outside. Pro: Almost every exhibit was made to be interacted with. There's a train ride and a playground that has specific areas of learning g through play. Live animals make sure the children don't get bored. Con: Train tickets are limited in number and there is only one train running overall. Snack room is mostly vending machine items, so brj g booth adult and children's snacks if you don't like vending machine snacking. Conclusion: Great place to visit and worth going several times with the little ones. I would encourage getting a membership. (If I lived within driving distance I would get one, but that's just me.)
Amazing place for a science filled family trip.
Interesting for a couple of hours but way too many summer camps with kids running wild without supervision...an accident waiting to happen plan your visit accordingly
The EcoTarium has a lot of very fun things to do with children. The exhibits are reallt nice, they change them from time to time. There is a lot to see and do here. It makes for an entertaining day trip. There is a train outside as well as an outdoor play area for kids to burn off energy during the museum trip when being inside is too much.
My son loved it so much! I love how theres indoor and outdoor activities
It's fun, has indoor and outdoor spaces. Great for letting kids explore science and learn about nature first hand
Great for 4 and 6 yr olds. My kids loved it!! Lots to see, so much to interact with. Plenty of outdoor space for creative play!
This is a great museum for children of all ages and fun for adults as well. I didn't get to see many of the animals but the exhibits were fun and interactive.
Great place for the kids and I love the little Red Fox.
I took my son here and he had a great time. Plenty of things to do. He can’t wait to go back again.
A great time with a 3yo and 13yo. In non-winter would probably have stayed longer than 2-3h. I wish they had more food options and were closer to us... though they can only address one of those wishes
Love this place. Great fun for the kids. Young and old.
Small. Museum with a neat planetarium. Overnight program for scouts is. Excellent
Great place for kiddos who like to explore and learn with their hands. There needs to be a bit more control with some field trips though. Many unsupervised groups of kids. The wild cat station is a wonderful addition since the absence of Kendra the Polar Bear.
They have a great SHADED play area outside which my kids love, their preschool hour is also awesome!!
Great destination for children of all ages at any time of the year!
How ridiculous that the only gate manned by one person is the place you have to pay. It's the dumbest bottleneck
Great place to bring the kids! I had a blast.
Fun and enjoyable for all ages. Live animals and interactive attractions that everyone can enjoy. The place is spacious and clean with plenty of room to run around inside and out. So even if it's a rainy day you can have fun indoors.
This is the perfect science center for my family. My child is PreK/kindergarten age and has been coming here since he was a baby. There are awesome indoor and outdoor activities, and awesome themed events.
My 1.5 year old had a wonderful time!
New exhibits, easily accessible, inside and outside interactive, amazing variety something for everyone!
This was my first time EVER going to the ecotraium and I loved it! It was also the grand opening of the mountain lions! My 9 year old son loved it.
Nice science center and grounds. Loved the train.
Fun little place to visit. Mostly tuned towards children but we have a good time.
My kids love this place
Great experience for kids.
Fun place for kids and families. Looking forward to trying one of the 21 yo or older events!!
Nice clean and educational. A little smaller than was expected.
Was a really cool place. When I went to visit half of the animals they were pacing back and fourth and looked really unhappy in their enclosures... So sad..
Great place with the younger kids, and a fantastic nature path.
My first time there with my granddaughter she loved it and enjoyed herself so much we walk around 3 times
Large facility with exhibits aimed towards younger children. Nice
This is the ultimate children's museum of science! We always have so much fun and there is truly something for everyone, no matter what their interests. Recommended for everybody, no matter how small or tall!
The kids love this place. There is something for everyone. They have snack vending machines and an outdoor cafe on Saturdays during the summer. I wish they had a small cafeteria all year long.
Loved the place as it has lot of fun things for kids
Our nephews (6 and 8) had a great time. We were there for a number of hours but only saw a small portion of the exhibits because they were so engaged with the various exhibits they visited. Favorites were the river otters, mapping their neighborhood and vibration lab.
Always a fun experience for my Pre-K and K kids. They love the interactive attractions and always learn something new. The outside playground is a huge hit too. Lots to see and do at the EcoTarium!
I was surprised with all of the activities for little kids. So much fun!
Worth to go many times. Little one love it so much and so do their big ones.
Kinda pricey but was fun plus the gift shop is upstairs leaving you no choice but to go in
So much to see and a ton of fun
Fun place , they also bring a small animal to give a presentacion
Its a nice place to bring kids
We had a unique overnight experience at the Ecotarium and can’t wait to go back this summer to be able to explore more. It’s a mix of the Children’s Museum with the Museum of Science and very interesting sites.
Tickets are more costly but we can get library passes..... Place is good for 2 hours kids will have fun and learning both.Aquarium is beautiful..... cafeteria has only vending machines so take your own food......
It's very clean and fun
Good, local place to bring the kids . Woykd like to see more changes, exhibits, activities so it's not the same old, same old.
Great for the kids. Very fun and educational. They have a lot more interactive activities also.
One of the most fun things to do in Worcester with friendly and knowledgeable staff, lots of animals, and even more great and interactive exhibits! Always changing a few things seasonally so it's never the same for long, has a great summer day-camp program, cool planetarium shows, and everyone loves the train ride!
Great place, especially for children.
Fun place to take the kids for a morning or afternoon.
Adorable animals and fun, interactive exhibits
Great place for kids.. live animals and lots of activities. I just went on a first weekend (free with BFA card) and it wasn't too crowded
great place for a full day's play for kids. My 4 year old lots of fun and we had to skip a few items.
Nice place for family time. Museum of Science members get a great discount.
I love this for a fun day out with my younger kids. My older kids like to go once a year or if a traveling exhibit peaks their interest. Lots to do both inside and out in the warmer weather.
Fun night of adult only museum hijinx ! Science! Interactive exhibits! Cash bar! A fun evening
Fun but expensive. This was my first time. Took our 3 year old and he had a great time. Many of the educational things were above his head. But he still enjoyed it. They were working on some renovation and the playground was unusable. The place isn't very big, we spent 3 hours there and that includes going for a hour walk around the pond (we tried to get from lower lot to upper but the path was blocked due to renovation, there was no warning sign) With that said they are overpriced! Regular admission is definitely a rip off. Lucky we went to our library before hand to get a pass discount. There simply isn't enough there to warrant their prices. Also if you are going to charge high admission the train right and planetarium movie should be included. PS if you are going mid week. Beware of the massive amount of kids from field trips.
What a great place for kids to spend the day,( or kid at heart). They had so much fun learning. I will definitely do again.
Wonderful hands on science fun. Not one complaint from our field trip students. Best ever
Took our 6 year old grandson here. Had a blast. Lots of hands on activities.
What a fascinating place, where else can you see Madagascar hissing cockroaches to a stegosaurus, this place has it all from a giant stuffed Kodiak bear to two live bald eagles. So many hands on exhibits for young and old you definitely will learn when you come here.
Awesome place, did an overnight event with two of my children. Great exhibits and staff, definitely going to go again.
Amazing place for some family fun.. adults and kids can enjoy the cool exhibits this place offers .
My kids (3 & 4) found plenty to do here that they loved, and there was plenty of things w found interesting as adults too. We applied our entrance fee towards a membership and will definitely be going back.
We always love coming to the ecotarium. The museum is well staffed, the events are well planned, and the facility it well maintained.
Excellent place for all-day kid entertainment.
Awesome place for kids.
Great place to take the kids again and again. We really love the outdoor playground and of course the train ride.
Fantastic place...my kids would always tell me how awesome it is with the animals and outside play areas and the things they would learn about the environment and ecosystems. I was very excited to see it for myself and was more than pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to go back.
A lot of games on experiences for the kids. Nice place
Wonderful place for a day of adventure and exploring. My kids had a great time.
Took my 10 year old here ... Think it's more suited for preschool age kids more than anything. It was okay because it was something new for him. Probably won't be going back again
Our Cub Scout pack spent the night here and what a memorable experience for the kids!! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and ran a tight ship, which was exactly what our group needed. Ours was the space themed program and the planetarium was a great space to learn interesting facts about our solar system. The staff also engaged the kids with great activities (including an egg drop!) and there was plenty of time to explore this very interactive museum. It was a great space to sleepover as well - our family slept near the turtles and opossum, others slept in the darkness of the Africa room, and those who preferred more like slept near more open spaces. Each was located very near super clean bathrooms- a must for an overnight adventure with 20 6-11 year olds!
I loved, among many other exhibits the owl exhbit, in memory of my grandmother - a wise woman who gave a hoot!
If you are going there with your family, you can spend 2-3 hours. There are places for children but adults can also enjoy. :)
The kids always enjoy it.
Our kids love this place and learn while they play. A great placw for the whole family
My first going with my niece and nephew and absolutely loved it. They have so much informational things for kids to learn. Cant wait to go back.
Free Fun Friday! Busy, but it was great because we'd never been.
Loved it, much bigger than I expected, so much to do!! Next time though I'll pack lunches, unless I missed something there weren't a lot of options for food. Other than that, this place was incredible, my 4 and 6 yo grands loved it! We were there 3 or 4 hrs and could've easily spent a couple more!
It was awesome. My first time there with my grandson almost 4 years old. I used to take my children there 30 years ago. What fun we had. Will be back! .
I have been going here since I was a kid and it just gets better and better. We have been members for 18 years and try to go at least once a month. My favorite thing: this is a great way to get out of the house in the winter. The inside exhibits are fun and the trails are maintained all year.
Great for a Cub Scout overnight with stuff to keep the kids amused, friendly staff, and wild turkeys!
Such a great place! Can't wait to go back
Went here with my 3year old nephew and he had tons of fun for 2 hours, and we didn't even see 3/4 of the space, or even ride the train. We also got a coupon from our local library that gives a huge discount.
Great place for all ages.
Wonderful place for all ages! Spent four hours there however we could have spent a couple more. The planetarium was great!
Great little place. The train conductor is the man!
Very cool I love it here
Good for kids..ample parking..would suggest to carry own food
Great fun for all ages a membership is the way to go for a family. Great experience for the kids. Very hands on
Great place for kids. My 3 years and first grader enjoyed a lot. First grader enjoyed feeding plant Co2 by blowing air through tube. Fog and hurricane experience were amazing. We observe otters show which was exciting.
EcoTarium is a wonderful place to spend some time with your little one. They have lots of things to help pique interest in science and keep your child engaged. The train ride alone is worth a visit.
Awesome family fun!
There is an endless amount of things to do here inside and out. Each floor has so much to see, touch, hear, play with, all while learning. Outside there are tons of trails and opening on April 1st there is a train that you can ride throughout the property and see everything outdoors. My 5 year old son who is typically very shy had a blast!
We love this place. The indoor portion is well done, and we learn something new every time we go. The outdoor portion is great, too. Open ended fun for all ages! The train runs weird hours, though, so be sure to check at the ticket counter rather than going off of what's posted online.
The mountain lion kittens are pretty cute. The ecotarium is a bit small in gear too much younger audience. This would be a great place to bring kids.
Great for children of all ages. Many interactive activities.
Had a great time. Finally got to see otters for the first time. Cute little buggers.
Great place for an afternoon with the kids
Very cool place to take kids. Looks like it will be a lot nicer in the summer, but was enough to keep my 6-year-old's attention for 4 hours.
Nice mix of indoor and outdoor activities. The zoo animals seem distressed, though.
Great time especially for the price. Definitely recommend seeing one of the shows in the planetarium, just amazing!
Fun for a rainy day with the kids!
Kids love the place wish there were more animals along the train ride
Great spot to take the kids spent the day here good learning ability here
Fun place for kids 12 and under I'd say. Sneaky learning while having fun with science exhibits. A few animal exhibits as well. Nice outdoor play area, train ride for kids. The otter enclosure is easy to miss unless you remember to check it out. Can get loud inside on a rainy day.
Great for a nature hike or indoor activities. My favorite is the bubble station on a breezy day ( not just gun for kids)
An amazing place of learning and conservation efforts! Make sure to play at the outdoor area. It's perfect for all ages!
I took my little sisters here and they absolutely were amazed. There are so many exhibits that promote sensory play. Some exhibits allow you to dive deeper and step into the shoes of a scientist. I love that there were many options to explore hands on activities. This place is awesome!
All day fun for families with kids of all ages! Activites all year long.
My 1st visit in a very long time. I really liked that they had a toddler area. The Planetarium was amazing!
Today we only played in the large playground. It is beautiful and not your typical playground. A small stream runs through and kids are encouraged to play in it. Small ropes course, sandy play area. There are alot of hands on activities where kids are leaning thru play. Kids came home happy and tired!
Fun spot for families to learn about all things science and nature. Great walking trails and it’s always fun to hang with the otters.
Always a blast and the outdoor portions are just as fun as the indoor
It is a little small, but my children are Young and enjoy walking through the museum. There's a lot of things for young kids to touch which is good. I think there will be much more to do in the summer as there are lots of outdoor area to explore.
The playground is awesome, inside needs a revamp of activities
Really great for kids of all ages and so much to do!
Great place
