REVIEWS OF Discovery Museum IN Massachusetts

This place is awesome for kids. They have various exhibits where the kids think they are just playing, but they are learning about science. One such exhibit is in the water room. They even provide smocks for kids in this room. You can even create your own gears. The treehouse with play area is amazing. We easily spent a half hour out there without even using the swing. They basically played in the rocks.

Jacqueline Edwards

Excellent museum for children. Filled with creative, experiential exhibits for a range of ages from crawlers to young teens- a variety of great blocks, for small tabletop to large crawl-through constructing; engaging interactive musical displays; a fabulous wind construction; a diner with kitchen, booths and cash register; a backyard campsite; an area for babies; crafts, and so much more. Our four yo couldn't get enough- & it was all high quality play/ learning. And the kids (& parents) were pleasantly good about sharing & taking turns. Also, some good exhibits in the small woods between the parking and the indoor museum. There should be more places like this one!

Daniel Carroll

This place is hours of fun for kids so many different things to explore and create with! I also as an adult found playing along to be enjoyable. Activities can be as simple or complex as you want, in this way I can say it's fun for everyone. We will be going back for sure!!!

Danielle Ray

Amazing STEAM inspired indoor play place for inquisitive kids of all ages

We had such an amazing time! Very educational but even more fun! We went on a free friday how can it get any better than that? It is super hands on very clean. Very friendly staff... just all around an amazing trip cant wait to go back. Parking was very full drove around a few times but did get a spot but what do you expect when its free on friday in the summer! Nice and air conditioned . Beautiful tree house. Handicap accessible!

Bob Rogers

Amazing venue for children, take advantage of the hand sanatizer, lots of sniffles.

Ryan Mahoney

This is a great place to take the kids. You probably won't be able to fill a whole day here, but that fits right into most kids attention spans perfectly.

David Duval

Even I had fun

Erin Considine

My kids had a blast !

Joseph Morella

Very much a learning and amusing experience for young children!

I haruka

Not many parking spots so it is better to go earlier in the morning. The museum itself was fun and our 2-year-old enjoyed the water section and outside part!

Alexander Chen

The Discovery Museum is one of our favorite places to bring the kids. They love it. Highly recommended.

Maria Zolotarev

My whole family loved this place. It's definitely a bit of a drive from Boston, but worth checking out. The activities for toddlers are excellent- both indoors and outdoors. It's clean, well organized, and educational. Many hands on activities for the kids. The outdoor playground and treehouse area is fantastic. If this place was closer, we would go all the time!

TheSmilyred

This was a great place for kids and parents. Tons of hands on stuff and could easily stay all day.

İlyas Sır

My son and my daughter loved to be here. We just moved to the area and it will be our favorite place for sure. Very good staff and lots of activities both indoor and outdoor

Molly Modica

Love how they remodelled. Especially got good use out of the infant area. It was great to swap out and let both kiddos have fun.

Nick Probolus

Fantastic place to bring kids. I went here as a child, and it was great. Now they have a new building and a relatively new outdoor structure. My 2 and 3 year olds love it here.

Nicole Mannion

It has many fun activities for young children and most of the staff members were engaging. The main drawback, though, is there are a LOT of open staircases, elevators and exit doors throughout the exhibits. My 3 year old had a great time but I spent pretty much the whole time chasing my 1 year old as he tried to get in the elevator, go down the stairs, or out the exit doors. I think I’ll go back when he is a little older!

Josh Hardy

This is a great place to bring kids. We were there for about three hours and still didn't have time to do everything. A lot of fun for the parents too. We will definitely be back.

Sarah Bessuille

This place is wonderful. So many opportunities for creativity and imaginative play. My toddler and I sat outside in a tent and made coffee with rocks and sticks and fun metal dishes. Lunch outside in the Fairy Woods was quiet (except my toddler) and relaxing. I think it’s best suited for 4-12 year olds. There IS a 0-3 room but it’s pretty small. A nice young man was refilling the snack machine as I wanted to grab something and after he realized I was waiting for him, he ended up giving me what I wanted for free. It was so not necessary but I appreciated the gesture. I will definitely come back again.

Joseph Vadakekalam

Good place for kids 5 to 9 years old

Mike Mutrie

This place was great - a little tight to navigate in spots but otherwise a lot of fun

Rick Shabsin

Very interactive. Our 2-year-old granddaughter loved every minute!

Debbie Curran

What a wonderful place for kids!

Fran Gikow

Not great. Got there 1/2 hr after opening. Ended up having to shuttle bus there and back. Granted it was school vacation week and busy but my granddaughter almost got hit when she leaned on a rope separating an activity with people when her 25 lb body caused a post to fall down and almost hit her. Not good. When we went back to collect projects that were drying, my granddaughter's project would never to be found and she had to redo it because she really wanted it

Nicholas Wong

First visit with my 1.5 year old son. 1.5 is on the younger side, but still lots of activities that kept him engaged for hours, which is not an easy task. Especially loved the water area, but be sure to bring a change of clothes (at the very least a dry t-shirt). We will definitely be back.

Alicia Farinoli

I took my younger two and met up with their cousins (and my sister). It was a little overwhelming for my daughter at first, because there were several schools who were there on field trips, but we 'discovered' the light room where it was dark and quiet. After that everyone was settled and had a great time. We stayed and played from 10 am till about 2 pm. Can't wait to make this a regular part of my homeschooling.

Kaitlyn Byrne

Such an awesome museum for my Toddler! So much to do. His favorite was the water section (bring extra clothes!). The place is super new, updated and has awesome sections. Highly recommend! It seems like there are some engaging spaces outside too- will definately be coming back!

Joshua Santerre

Parking is terrible unless you get lucky or get there early enough. Otherwise my son loved it, hours of fun to be had.

Kyndra Pilat

Great and fun place for children! However, I encountered plenty of mothers who were extremely rude and entitled towards my 4 YEAR OLD daughter all because they were "members" and it was our first time trying the place out. These snobby women need to get off their high horse and show these children how to be kind and caring towards everyone regardless if they are a member or not. Very disappointed in thestype of people here

Kent Shaw

I've visited a healthy handful of children's museums at this point, and I find Discovery Museum to be a great spot for fun discovery situations and play. Having a 3 year old, and finding, as she was growing up, there were some museums better suited to toddler kids and some a little older, I would say this one could be great for 2 year old's. Definitely, though, the tree house, the fairy area, and the camp site I side made my daughter very excited!

Yohana Olaya

Good and educational place for kids

Julie Whitmore

Excellent museum with lots of interactive play and learning spaces! We went on school vacation and though it was super busy, our kids still enjoyed their time. Bit of a drive for us, but worth the visit. We're members of another museum and were able to use the discount to visit, otherwise it would have been a bit pricey. Lots of parking, though due to demand, the museum used a shuttle service to another lot offsite for overflow parking. The kids also enjoyed that adventure! Very clean throughout the museum and facilities. All in all, we will return!

Cynthia Morin

A MUST VISIT! Has everything for every age. This place is a definite winner!

Arthur Cafarella

Great place to bring the kids. Gets abit crowded but great.

Andy Denham

Excellent place for kids, my 5 year old loved it. In the area moving my oldest to the area and needed an adventure for my youngest and it was perfect for a few hours. Also, if military ask for their military discount, definitely a 5 star experience.

Donna Mitchell

Lots of fun and educational activities for kids. The Free Fun Friday was extremely busy and I'm not fond of crowds, so I didn't stay long. I went alone to check it out as a place to take my grandchildren or to recommend it to friends. Best for elementary school and below.

kelly

Fun for a variety of ages. They have an area for very young children all the way up to 12 or 13 years. It's 14.50 a person and if you receive WIC or SNAP benefits it cost 1 dollar per guest. Well worth it. There are outdoor activities and seating as well as tons of indoor activities. Bring a lunch and send the day.

Misty Denton

It was amazing to explore and have hands on for the kids! Great fun! Wonderful staff members. Spoke with Travis in the Art area! Travis was knowledgeable and very kind n patient with all the children!

Caitlin Dunn

This place is incredibly clean, well-maintained, and imaginative. Best children’s museum we’ve been to! Also, surprisingly and wonderfully quiet

Charles Oliver

The new museum is wonderful. Many of the exhibits have been transferred from the original building and 'reinterpreted' in a great way. The maker space upstairs is neat, with a variety of materials available for creations. The outdoor space and treehouse are very cool. The slide continues to give them a bit of trouble.

Laura Garrity

Always an amazing day trip. Staff and volunteers are warm and welcoming. There are a huge number of activities. Kids leave happy and exhausted every time.

Crystal Colson

The new Discovery museum is absolutely amazing! I especially love that they now have an outdoor area to eat! It's really well designed with a ton of space to move around! Highly recommend getting the pass. It's very reasonable!

Katie Fiore

Best place year round for toddlers and parents to experience each other’s worlds!!! Membership seriously pays for itself! Has been such a wonderful resource to have this place be a quick trip. It allows them to burn off some energy but totally have it be all STEM based. Love “Covery Zeeum” as my son calls it!!

Manny Steiner

Very cool, especially the outdoor play area but the museum is small and they claim three levels but it is effectively 2 levels. What they do have is well executed but if not a member this is a bit pricey.

Kayla Amaro

Great size museam can spend the whole day here with the kids such fun!

Manish Kumar

Good for kids aged below 8 yrs, though my kid aged 9 enjoyed it.

alexia taylor eichman

Great for kids, age 2 - 9. A little sad to watch every adult on their phone :( But seriously the kids love it!

Lloyd W. Meek

Such an amazing place. My daughter loves this place. Highly recommend a membership..well worth it.

Paul Nicholson

I really like this museum. It's small, and I wouldn't travel a huge distance for it, but for my 5 and 2 year old, it's the right size and has engaging and interesting exhibits. For parents it can get a bit loud, but overall it's a great way to spend a few hours with kids.

Bibhash T

Nice place to be with kids. Lots of activities

John Fellian

Their recent renovation has brought the fun to a whole new level. All the fun and charm without the claustrophobia. My 1st grader spent FIVE hours playing and still hadn’t had enough. If you haven’t checked it out recently, GO! You won’t be disappointed.

Micarla Erasmus

Great place to got for the kids

Jessica Nelson

Lovedit 20yrs ago with my kids and love it now w granbabies

Denisa Dobrin

Pleasantly surprised by this place. My toddler had a blast! The tree house doubles as a playground and the games inside the museum are educational and catchy for all ages.

Taj Overton

A whole lot of learning and fun

Lindsey Conti

I hadn't been since they updated it. Wow, it's amazing! It's a smaller version of the Boston Children's Museum! The kids never stopped from the second we walked in. So many things to do. As well as the dun activities they ran! We loved the creation area. Such a great idea to take things you would normally throw away and let kids turn them into awesome creations! We are glad we are members and will be returning many times!

Alison Golosovker

Had my daughter's 3rd birthday here today- had a marvelous time!!

DAVID CHEPKITONY

Nice place..good for family

J Maag

Absolutely love this place! It has so many amazing things to do and my kids never get tired of going there! I will be a regular visitor until we no longer live in Massachusetts.

Elizabeth Cooper

Perfect for a cold day with the kids! Lots to discover and learn. Gets crowded but there's enough to do for everyone

asim kaban

Lovely place for kids

Jennifer Thomas

Amazing place for you little one. Had a three year old and a 6 month old with me. There was a ton for the three year old to do. Not as much for the Baby, but they did have a section with stuff for her. Was there for three hours and didn't see it all. Gonna get a season pass!

chloe longstreet

So much fun! We could have easily spent all day here and it was winter so we didn't do any outdoor stuff. Planning to go back, and next time I will prepare better by packing a lunch and planning to stay all day.

Boyd Law

On the way there, I didn't expect much, but once I was there, the place is huge, full of fun filled quick activities and experiments for kids to enjoy, learn and play. I unfortunately brought my kid to the block building area as the second thing to see and was pretty much stuck there. If you have younger kids, this will be a better place to bring them over the Ecotarium and/or Children's museum in my opinion.

Yolanda Muñoz

Great place to go for young children. Parking lot is a little small and during busy hours you wont be able to find parking there. Great staff and lots to do for a few hrs. Reasonable prices

Kate Lux

Fabulous time for both my 12 year old sister and then 6 month old baby! Great military discount too.

Victoria M

As a former nanny I brought all my charges here. It’s a wonderful place to kill a few hours.

Bill VanderClock

Came with a 4 year old who had the time of his life! Lots of different options for activities and just a kid friendly place.

Ben Flisher

Amazing place to discover. This place has only gotten better over the years and with the new building there is always something new to explore. Love it I always have a blast and my son does too. The organization is also a great member of the community with sponsored events and free museum days, we are lucky to have them in Acton.

Morten Korsnes

Had a wonderful time, and the kids love it almost as much as the grown-ups.

Sandy McAuliffe

Lots of fun and interesting things to do!

Tonya M

Not too big but lots of great stuff for our 2 year old. It would be great for older kids too.

Amreen Rafique

Excellent museum for children. It has hands on activities and a beautiful tree house.

Cathrine LeBlanc

Amazing place for kids to explore. The first Friday of every month is free Friday, and there's no entry fee :)

Justin Mendes

Great place to take the kids. Definitely worth the membership. Have been multiple times and will keep coming back.

Giselle Ana Lucia Arpino

Fun place to explore and have fun!

Andy Olech

This place is awesome! So many things for the kids to do easy to spend 2-4 hours here. It can get a bit crowded on school days off, but weekends are not too bad.

Peter Mitchell

Nice size and not crazy packed like Boston. It has enough to do and see to keep kids busy for 4+ hours.

Tony WANG

Amazing place for kids.

Melanie Liu

The best museum for kids outside of Boston that combines fun area for little kids and science museum for older kids. There is also an outdoor woods area which is a nice place to hang out with other parents and kids.

katarina

Great interactive experience for young children. Highly recommend it.

Joseph

This place is an absolutely wonderful place to go for kids. They are incredibly well staffed and everything is generally well laid out and kept very clean. the only thing I didn't like are a handful of strewn about or haphazardly put together displays. It isn't that they aren't fun for kids are effective but some things do seem like they wouldn't last very long or are already slightly broken because they aren't designed for heavy kid abuse. Overall though the quality of the interactivity that kids get from the exhibits is incredibly fun and as a parent importantly energy draining haha

Sarah Fortino

What a great place to take kids. We loved the bird exhibit from the Chestnut Hill School.

Fintan Duffy

Far exceeded expectations. Fabulous.

Adam Trimby

Great place to take the kids, especially after they renovated.

Mindy Snow

Wonderful place for kids under 10. We spent hours exploring inside and out. Limited parking (you may have a little wait or a longer walk) and few food options.

Jac G

It was a lityle over crowded . Maybe registration for free nights is required!

JoAnn Katz

Great for families. Lots of hands on fun.

Marquis Benjamin

Daughter had a good time. Would go again.

Justin Rand

This place was Awesome! My wife & I took our 3 yr old daughter, and she couldn't get enough! The exhibits are great! They simplify the subject matter, display it for visual learning, and auditory. Then the interactive peice let's hands on fun push the point across. All while the kids sit there mezmorized

Sean Westgate

Really unbelievable for young children. It's like a smaller but in-depth Boston Children's Museum. They're smaller in size but some of their areas are more robust and full of cool stuff. The water area is really cool. What is a little pricey but is it membership serve a reasonable. If I lived closer I would get a membership for sure and you go here one or two times a week with my children.

Ivonne Guzman

Is so big, the toddlers can play safe And the plays outsite are awesome

Caroline Yaffa

Still a great place to go with the kids

Dave Rogers

The new building is great, still pretty small so definitely a place to hit during the week.

Rachel

Popular! Had trouble parking but came back after lunch and we fit in. Crowded, but pretty good.

Stephen Dragoni

A very cold museum. Lots for kids to do.

David Ross

My girlfriend's son had such a good time, too bad we got there late, but we will return !!

Alyssa Burke

My 4 and 2 year old LOVE it here. We came for the day and left with a membership. So much fun!

Tim Sloane

Our 1 yo had a total blast! Water tables, kiddy stairs, blocks of every kind -- just fabulous!!

Gregory Marton

Fun and engaging, and thoughtfully designed to give kids an opportunity to think mathematically about a bunch of the toys.

Emily Hinton

I had a really nice time with my son here yesterday. Even though it was very busy, we still found a place to park and were able to spend time at each exhibit that we wanted to. The exhibits are new, so things were mostly working. Lots of fun things to do and explore inside and out. I enjoyed the fact that they were not the same old exhibits you see at all the other children/Science museums in the area, they felt 'fresh'. I think the space is well used too, as far as how the layout is. There were only a couple of areas where I felt very crowded, which is pretty good, considering how many people were there. We were able to leave, have a nice lunch, then come back and finish our visit. Parking is free. My complaints are not directed at the facility and are of a personal nature in that we experienced multiple incidents where parents made the experience unpleasant. Some parents were letting their kids use the exhibits in ways that can be destructive, or disruptive to other children trying to use them. I also saw some parents were so involved in the building process at some exhibits, they were telling their kids to go get more pieces, then the kids would go and take pieces from other kids. There were a couple of times where I had to tell kids to stop taking building materials from others, just so their parents could build huge structures. Seriously, one parent in particular seemed to be intent on using every single building block available, without any concern to the crying children whose blocks were being taken from them. He would tell his kids 'more pieces', his kids would go over to structures that other kids were in the middle of building, and just start dismantling their work and take the pieces, leaving them all upset. I even wondered aloud at one point "Am I the only adult over here?". The same thing happened (twice) upstairs at another building exhibit (different adults). Very frustrating experiences with selfish adults. The only thing I can suggest to the facility is to add signs to the exhibits that remind patrons to play fair and share.

Saif Rayyan

Here is a place where I feel I am a kid again. You will enjoy it perhaps even more than your kids - and trust me they will love it.

Joe Hardie

This place is so much fun for children. There's a ton to do and explore. They have an outdoor are to play outside on warmer days / in the summer. It's like a natural take on an outdoor playground for kids to get their energy out before or during the trip to the museum. In the museum there is a great selection of exhibits that are educational and help children Learn in a tactile hands-on fashion. There's also usually a daily craft so kids can create something of their own to take home with them. My families personal favorite was the water experimental area. Bring a change of clothes for your kids if they like water, because they will probably get soaked.

Giselle Corona

While we miss the old youngest museum building, it is an old charming house that had a better dinner, baby areas and train table, our kids like the renovated building. I would avoid the weekends due to number of families that visit, but on a weekday it is lovely. The Woods is a good addition that provides a lot of physical and imaginative play.

Pepe La pew pew

Since the main building was finished... this place is amazing... rooms full of exhibits of water works, a section dedicated to block building, a gear wall, and sand table design section... oh and don’t forget a real live tree house.... take the kids and go visits this discovery museum. The whole family will find something to love there.

Dr. Batoul Hassan

This is a nice little museum with nice interactive tables. It is small but has many tables for kids to explore. The light room is really cool. This place also gets packed and I would advise to get there early before the bigger crowds come in.

Prachi Sharma

Great for young children

Eni Adedokun

Amazing place that provides opportunities for learn and fun for everyone. I mean EVERYONE! Families, young kids, older kids, those with special needs, this place is great. They are committed to an environment of learning and fun inside and outside and I had a great time playing when I went!

Jocelyn Aguilera

Cannot wait to go back! So much fun inside and out.

Lesly Duverge

My child will be 2 in a week and she had a blast. Didn't want to leave all areas of the museum; water station, blocks, legos, sand stations. They have it all for kids around this age. You have to bring your kid at least once here. They'll wanna come back for sure.

Kitten Payne

This is a great place to spend the day with a small child. The facility is well maintained and has plenty of highly interactive exhibits that even adults will be entertained by. I was pleasantly surprised by how thoroughly engrossed my 2yo was and for the entire time (4hrs!). I wasn't even sure we'd get out of the water exhibit (the 1st one we went to. bringing a change of shirts next time!). Will definitely be back!

Mario Christianto

New brightly lit spaces. A lot of parking spaces. Good fun and creative activities for kids of all ages. Standard pricing and has some reciprocity with other Discovery Museums in the country (half price of you're a member of another discovery museum).

Chris Gates

Kids loved it! Great for dads with a penchant for geeky science stuff.

Hui Chieh Hsiang Jackson

This was our first time visiting the Discovery Museum. There were a lot of things for our son to try out. He enjoyed the water play area and the room with all the tubes that suck up the giant pompoms. There was also a giant wall full of magnetic gears for assembling and cranking things to see them spin. There's plenty of opportunity for parents to join in the fun and not get bored. An adult can watch their child have fun from almost anywhere in the rooms. There are also outdoor areas to explore that we didn't have the chance to see this visit. It was a nice excursion where our son could pick what he wanted to do and we just went along with it. We saw young infants in strollers, other toddlers, and teenagers all having fun. This place doesn't have a restaurant or cafe so you'll need to bring drinks and snacks. Or you can find something nearby since there are plenty of choices within driving distance of the museum. This place is within a 30 minute drive from home. There's free parking but it fills up quickly, so get there early. We spent 2.5 hrs just exploring the main area of the museum. There are plenty of outdoor sections to explore for next time. I think this was a very successful adventure since it tired our little guy out. We'll definitely be visiting again.

Joao Bruno Trindade

A lot fun for kids 12 and younger.

Michael Orlinski

Better than the Museum of Science

Daniel Reis

they recently rebuilt the museum into a new modern structure. Before the rebuilding it struck one as kind of homegrown and lame-o. But the truth is even before the rebuilding my son loved it! A prime example of an exhibit would be just a huge model train you can go into or a series of ramps and tubes and tunnels that a ball goes through like a big Ginsburg machine glued to the wall. it was very much home built and kind of broken down but still my son loved it. the new museum is modern and beautiful and well-thought-out. The exhibits are water play and getting a ping pong ball to balance on an Airstream and watching washers go down a bolt in a kind of syncopated resonance. very much everyday stuff that you can observe around the world. A great thing is is that that it takes the coolest everyday stuff and highlights it and makes it into something very engaging for children. It is not didactic or preaching in the least bit it is just engaging fun, the best way to learn. Some people might say that the museum is too small. Well it's about good for 3 or 4 hours max. Just about the maximum attention span for the target age. Perfect! The Treehouse is very cool and gives one a feeling of being in a hideaway in a secret place. And it adds a physical exertion element to the museum, which children love... very highly recommended experiential Museum.

jaehyun lee

It’s nice place for kids!

Amanda Malis

Completely remodeled and great new exhibits. We love the treehouse and outside area. We always have a great time visiting and learn new things while having fun.

Ivan Lisenkov

Great place for kids. Can be very busy during weekends.

William Bulnes

Lots of fun and learning experience for the whole family.

James Normington

Great museum for our young ones.

Nigel Chan

Great place for young kids to discover! Love it!

Olex Carrigan

Great place for kids to engage with science while also playing. There is no food on-site save a vending machine full of toddler/kids friendly snacks.

Jake Isaacs

Great play spaces

John F

Kids and adults can have fun. Use your imagination to get the most out of your visit.

Lee Kelley

We came here on a field trip for my daughters school. The kids really had a ball. There is a good mix of learning and fun. We'll certainly be back several times as the kids are growing up. I do wish they had some more options for food than the vending machine. It was a rainy day so we didn't get to see the treehouse but we heard that was a good experience from the folks that did make the very wet trip.

Brendan Quinn

Had an amazing time with my 4 year old. Tons of fun and engaging activities.

Joonki Kim

Lot of science based touch me things.

Derik DeLong

A fun experience for the kids. Affordable and has free parking, but can fill up as the day goes on. Go early for an easier experience.

John Krochune

The new building is a huge upgrade from the original location. Lots of great interactive exhibits. If you haven't been here lately, check it out!

David Drayton

I can't say enough about this place. We've been members here for two years, and my wife (who grew up in Chelmsford) has been going here since she was a kid in the mid 1990's. It's evolved quite a bit in that time. The new facility is outstanding. Clean, spacious, and TONS of stuff to do. I love going there even as a parent, because most of the stuff is enjoyable no matter what age you are. My favorite room is the light experiment room, which has plenty of nifty glow-in-the-dark and light-bendy stuff ;-) And the outdoor area is waaaay better than it was in the past. The huge tree house and play space all around provides tons of opportunities for exploration. And I haven't even explored the trails yet!

Gwen Jones

Fun for smaller kids!!

Emelie Danna

We took our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren here. We’re from out of town and we’ were extremely pleased to find this place. The water room was a huge success with our 2 year old. For sure bring a change of clothes and a towel to dry off. Also the toddler area was just right too. The 4 year old really liked the music room, sand table, and over sized building blocks. The tree house outside is a superb accent to the easily accessible grounds. I highly recommend this museum for the younger set. We brought a picnic lunch and ate right outside, under an umbrella. The staff was super also!

Susan Appleton

The Best museum for children that I have ever been to. I used to work at museums. Interactive. Great for age 1 to 18. Seriously great. If you are anywhere near Concord, Lexington or even Boston, this is worth the trip. The new building is fantastic.

Elizabeth Schneider

Free the first Friday night every month but so busy! Awesome museum no matter the crowds.

Tom Metzmaker

Great fun for the kids, but be prepared for it to be busy on the weekends!

Brian Benson

Awesome place, great for a range of ages!

Mike Giller

Great fun for little kids (ages 3 and 2)

wary

It is very Chaotic and small. So If u want to bring ur small child please be very careful! It gets very packed fast.

Joanna Arkema

My 2.5 year old had the time of his life. We spent about 2 hours inside and an hour exploring the outdoor area. It was a busy day but there was enough for everyone to do and we didn't feel the other people were a detraction at all. I highly recommend this place for 2-7 year olds.

Melissa Campbell

I have been coming here since my 17yr old was little! I was sad to see the use of the house done with but the new and improved museum is just great! And the bridges and tree house are so cool! My kids love coming here to explore.

Nathaniel Marcum

Wonderful place for children to visit. There are things to explore and learn about while having fun. This place is a unique, local gem. Pack a lunch and stay for the day, afterwards the kids will sleep well.

Dustin Walker

This place is awesome. The new expansion and updated, interactive exhibits are great. Our two and four year old love it. We go at least once a month and if you're military it is free! The membership ilwpuld be great is you're going regularly. The outdoor area is great from late spring to mid fall. More pictures to come during our next visit. Recommend hitting dunkin donuts or the Starbucks right down the street if you need a jolt before a morning visit

Carole McCorry

Nice place to take small children. Especially enjoyed the caterpillar exhibit.

There is a lot of cool stuff for kids. The place gets mobbed though and it is tough to get to anything without a group of people in the way.

Great place for kids, there are so many activities it can definitely keep you and your family occupied for a few hours of fun learning experiences!

Lots of fun for everyone. My kids are 3yrs and 1yrs old and they love going to Discovery Museum. There is 3 floors of activities for all ages in the main building and a fun treehouse and grounds outside. There is too much to cover in one trip which means you'll have plenty to do the next time you go. Check the calendar because they do offer free admission at some times, which is a great way to get your kids hooked!

Very nice museum, just the right size with a wonderful tree house and play area outside. It’s a good place to spend a whole day. NOTE: bring plenty of food and snacks, they do not have a cafe/coffee shop.

Great place to bring your kids

Lynne Gillis

My small children and I had such a fun time here. The activities were great and it even included some interactive play and activities outside. We will surely be coming back.

This was my favorite kids’ museum growing up; we came all the time as a family to the tiny Victorian house and it’s big woodsy back lot. I love that I can take my own kids there now and it’s just as much fun as I remember! Now there are the science building, the new museum, and the giant treehouse complex to explore as well. I will probably never outgrow this place!

This place Is so fun to take your kids to. Lots to do. There is water tables so would be good to bring extra set of clothing.
