First of all, the Steppingstone Farm Museum is "Sunday Family Drive" material for sure! I found this beautiful place by luck. Last year, I was looking for a place to take my grand daughter to celebrate the autumn season and get a hayride and pumpkin. For only $10 per adult and children under 12 FREE, on Sept 23rd and 24th from 11am-4pm, you get to see apple cider pressing & butter making, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, hayrides, craft vendors, demonstrations of historical trades, live bluegrass music, food, kids activities & more! Bathrooms are at a premium and there is a lot of walking that isn't very stroller friendly but those with disabilities can sit and take a break before having to get up to walk to the next display. There are events all year long so look at the website and ENJOY!!!

Great place for children to get an understanding or tools and farm equipment. The staff were friendly and helpful. They are all passionate and it comes out as they draw children into the exhibits. They are extremely knowledgeable and eager to demonstrate and answer questions. Wide variety of building and tool collections. The canning exhibit had a lot of depth.

Steppingstone Farm Museum was one of favorite places to visit when our children were young. We recently had the opportunity to visit this site again when our nephew was married there. They have continued to restore and make improvements to the property. A very nice barn has been built along with two cute outbuildings that house a mens and womens restroom. Steppingstone hostage a number of events throughout the year in addition to showing various aspects of life on a farm during regular visiting hours. Great place for children and families.
