It was ok for a day out for the children, but I felt it could have been a bit more. eg. The staff member at the start of the climbing net said my daughter could climb up with her 2 grandchildren, I sat down & waited to see them come back down on the slide. Well I look up just to see my great grandson , but not my daughter. She & Maya had to walk down the stairs because the staff at the top of the slde would not allow them to slide down...said Maya was Not tall enough... WHAT KIND OF FOOLERY WAS THAT??!!?! SHE WAS ALLOWED TO CLIMB A STEEP NET WITH NO HELP BUT CANT GO DOWN THE SLIDE?? NOT TO MENTION SHE WOULD BE WITH HER GRANDMOTER. WOW & WOW For THE MONEY SPENT TO GET IN,,OMG, DISAPPOINTED

Marcella Cook

Fun , adventure one stop kids place

Desiree Collier

Kids had a blast. Was a nice experience

Brian Nielsen

Amazing place to take kids to from ages 2 to 10, featuring different areas of play on three floors along the Baltimore waterfront.

Ganesh Ramasivan

Very interesting for kids of all ages. I will definitely go back once renovations are complete.

Cece Bennett

New place toys.. very good for the kids

Jeanne Bowser

Loved the time there with our grandchildren. Unfortunately, a number of things were not working which was frustrating, but the kids still loved the climbing structure (super safe and 3 stories tall!), And the water room, the train and the space ship. Fun for all ages here.

Robert Pergament

It's fine. I kind of had the feeling that it was built by a bunch of people involved in the shipping industry to convince kids that the shipping industry is cool. There was a lot of "pretend to be a stevedore" kind of stuff. Very strange. But my daughter like it fine. I'd suggest just going to your library or a playground to be completely honest. It was $18 per person plus $25 to park. Not great.

What a wonderful facility especially ran by an amazing staff. We literally can spent an entire day here. Such a great place for the kids to run around and engage in various types of activities like water play, climbing, reading, and present play! So much learning and fun. We love it. There is also a special area where you can sit down and eat and they provide wipes to sanitize before you sit down! How many places do that? Some places don’t even supply enough toilet papers! Love the fundraising team on their responsiveness! We purchased monogram blocks for the children to play as part of the exhibit and the staff went out of their ways to allow us to see it and let our children release them into the exhibit for other kids to play. Get the annual membership. It’s definitely worth it if you return multiple times throughout the year!

Bela Tamang

Was great upgrade. Lot of new stuff and kept many of classic ones like the diner and and the wonder of Water. I was most grateful to see the upgraded restrooms with kid toilets and sinks.

lacel wright

Very good place for kids to have fun

Kimberlee Ebb

Port Discovery was a good learning experience for the kids. I went on a school trip as a chaperone for 9 kids. The only issue was that each kid wanted to do something different. I enjoyed watching them have fun and I will visit again.

Bryan Lama

The place was under construction and only had a very small area with things to do, aimed mostly at very young children. There was no mention of this on their website that I saw. $20 wasted.

Glenn Marley Sr.

"It is funner than fun", it's what Dean says. 5 year old.

gregory burrell

Great place to take your children that are younger. Not recommended for some people that can't fit in tight spaces when on the rocker. Hopefully, the new cargo ship they are adding has some more space. Except to move a lot if you have someone younger than 7. The owner has confirmed that you won't be charged if you aren't supervising your young ones the entire time, but it is much advised to watch them majority of the time.

Raechel Teel

One of the best childrens musuems we have been too. They have so many rooms for kids to explore . we are excited for the new constructed playscape and exhibits. That open june142019

Koko Kreates

Had a lot of fun! Plenty of learning experiences through playing for children. Extremely interactive environment

Toumazos Theodorou

Kids had a blast, even though there are limited exhibits due to construction. Can't wait to return when it fully reopens!

Tia Norris

This year Port Discovery underwent construction. It was a more fun for the children last year. There were animals, hands on experiments and games. This year there were groups broken down going to different stations (which made it easier for the staff) but not as fun as the previous year.

India Lukas

Absolutely fabulous place to take your children any day and all day! Membership prices are exceptionally low for the value that this museum offers! Try it, your entire family will love it!

Kim vanblarcom

This is my favorite children’s museum in the tristate area. It is HUGE with 3 stories and numerous rooms for all ages. There are so many things for kids to explore, play with, touch, and learn. The staff is very friendly and I love that on Mondays they do not allow groups. My 2 year old had a blast and honestly my husband and I also enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend this kids museum!

Davita Corbin

Underconstruction but I usually love this place I can't wait to see the new jungle gym

Nick King

Very good for kids for 3 to 4 hours also is fairly priced

Gregory Sampson

The staff is friendly and patient. I will say that the large metal slide is quite painful. Also the bricks that are lifted up the conveyer belt to the level above found their way into the steps during our visit. Definitely a trip/fall hazard.

Georgianna Porter

So much for the kids to do! really interesting stuff

Salah Alghamdi

amazing place for kids and their parents

Quanita Bost

It is a great museum for sure, but is for kids 6 and under. The older kids, like my son stand around bored looking for something age appropriate to do. They definitely shouldn't be charging the parent.18.00 and older kids 18.00.

Lytisha Leak

My children had a great time! I do not like the outdoor adult club right outside of it though.

Robyne Posey

Port Discovery has something for every age group. It's exciting,!! B usy! Illustrious and attracts a very diverse crowd.

Mommy's Glowingup

I would definitely recommend this amazingly fun place for kids to learn. Im from Michigan and i was so surprised at how many hands on activites they had. It was well worth the drive! My daughter is turning 8 in July and her favorite activities were the pet dr upstairs the clay coloring and the water play. Actually she loved it all and i can't wait to make a video as soon as we get home. Look us up at TaniahTv on youtube, instagram and facebook at Tia_Taniah we will be sharing all types of fun things for kids to do on this side of the country... For now

Tonya Pemberton

My son really enjoys visiting port discovery. There is always so much for him to do. I wish one parent was very or at least discounted. Also if they had a cafeteria that would be convenient.

Chun-Hsien Wu

My kids had so much fun at the newly renovated Port Discovery museum!

Crystal Monkman

Expensive, beat up and showing the signs that they need a major overhaul. I’d wait until new exhibits are complete to return. Thanks to Port Discovery for the review response, I think that is well said. I understand that updates are coming and I think that these new exhibits will be great! I look forward to returning when the work is complete.

Natalie Henry

Love this place, my grandson had a great time. Love sharing this moment with him.

Chris Reynolds

Kids had a great time.

Paul Carroll

We all had a great time at Port Discovery. One four year old and one nine, which some might say is old but she loves this kind of stuff. All very hands-on, exploratory and educational. We had a full five hours of entertainment and probably could have stayed for longer but were exhausted from recent travels. Neither if the kids made it up the main attraction - a rope net climbing structure taking you way up high to come down an enclosed twisty slide - but they still had plenty to amuse them. You can eat your own lunch in a specific area. I didn't see an on-site place to purchase food but there are plenty of places nearby.

Rebecca Munoz

Went to grand reopening! Boys loved all 4 hours we were there. New skyclimb experience is amazing. Ship and Port area were a favorite

Tom

Used to love this place but Port Discovery gutted the best of it and replaced it with a tower that is scary for smaller children and is inaccessible to many adults.

Michael Davis

Fun place but maybe $2 is TOO inexpensive

Lee Slusser

A very nice children's museum with an extensive play area. We liked it.

noam sasson

Great place to spend the day with the kids, they had a great time exploring, playing in the dinner, make art projects. was very good time.

Kayon Cox

My daughter had fun. Will bring her again.

Brittainy N. Donnell

The place has clearly been renovated for the better. It is much more appealing and modern now!

Paul Rodriguez

Endless learning and play time fun

Asia Taylor

The new remodeled port discovery is phenomenal. You gotta take your kids, grandkids, God children etc. My kids had A ball. It was awesome.

Joshua Cohen

A great place for kids to get out some energy. A wide range of activities for different ages and interests.

Camille Rodriguez

It's good way to get the kids engaged into something different. As a environmentalist it seems like wasted space for the limited play stations. Overall my son had a good day on his field trip and got to play with his friends.

Reghan Ruf

Port Discovery is amazing!! As a now grown up who went all the time as a kid, I STILL have amazing memories in the Mystery House, the Egyptian Room, and climbing all over the cargo netting and slides. If it were socially acceptable for me to go back at the age of 20 and just do everything again, I 1000% would!! Love this place, HIGHLY recommend!

Catherine Elliott

So much fun, the children don't realize it's also educational.

Greg Fagan

Overpriced($54) for a 3yo and 2adults. staff not very friendly dont waste your time and money Many of the exhibits were broken or not working

Alexander

Great children’s museum and play place. Lots for kids to do and well priced!

frances hernandez

I took my 4 & 2 year old during a weekday, and though the facility is very nice, they got bored pretty quickly. There is a neat play area for babies (~9-15ish months), and a 3-story slide for kids 5+, but there isn't much for kids in between to climb, play, and discover. The place has mostly displays which kids this age are not interested in, so I think there is a missed opportunity. Also, not only are tickets expensive, but parking is $25! I will probably not return here, even when the kids get older.

Jennifer Kelsch

This was a great experience for my son and his friend. Very hands on and a wide variety of things to do and explore Make sure they are dressed to play! They should be older than toddlers, and 12 wuold probably be the upper limit. Will definitely go again!

Ted Peterkin

This was a great experience for my grandchildren even though the museum is under renovations. We still had a great time, we are looking forward to seeing the results of the renovations. It promises to be an exciting opportunity for all that will attend. Can't wait.

D Jackson

Great place for children to run and play as well as learn. There is a large, 3 story maze that children can spend hours in that has slides and rock walls and different entrances and exits. On each floor there are different rooms with different activities for children of all ages. There is a room that looks like a restaurant, a room that has different items that have been turned into instruments, a room for water, etc. There is a parking lot and you can have your ticket vouched on some days. Every month there is a $2 family fun night which is nice since tickets are somewhat pricey for a family.

Diana Ree-Reeder

I give them 4 stars. It is billed as ages 0-10 but I think a 10 year old would be hard pressed to have fun. 0-8 seems more appropriate. The activities were interesting but some were missing essential pieces. Also, only one sink had soap in the women's restroom and an hour later it was the same. You need to do better in a family oriented place.

Jeremy Epstein

Basically indoor masive yet overcrowded playground. Wouldn't call it a museum but well aircoditioned space to bring your kids in the summer. Parking super expensive is one meaningful downside.

Lady Ari

I had an amazing time I wish I could live there

Jeanie Jee

Outrageous climbing.netted tunnel to 3rd floor entrance of a tubular slide. Tests stamina of kids, ages 4 -11 ( 3 foot height requirement). Is a healthful and challenging activity which burns lots of energy. Could use more sitting areas for adults waiting for their children to finish their climbing for the day. Other exhibits and activities could be more stimulating and engaging. Kids slept well that evening.

Natalie S

What a great place for kids of all ages! And what a great idea to get a yearly membership! With it, you get a discount on Birthday parties. Amazing place and very secure!

Amit Sharma

Good place for kids to spend around 4 hours doing physical and mental exercises. Polite staff and clean facility.

Dana Phipps

Great children's museum geared for play. Newly renovated so the bathrooms and new locker/eating area are nice and clean. My kids ages 1 to 6 had a blast discovering different play areas like the new ship, the water play room (bring a change of clothes!), Egypt adventure and so much hands on Discovery area. The new sky climber and slide are fun - a little scary for my younger kids and less climbing than there used to be, but clean and safe and fun. There are some great baby areas too, so I felt like everyone could play how they wanted to. Recommend a trip here with kids!

David Hish

One of the best children's museums we've been to. Lots of activities, both physical and cerebral.

Deana Stewart

Awesome doe stimulating a young child's mind!

Shannon Bryant

Loved it, Loved it, Loved it ! So awesome and so much to do for the kids so neato reato.

Tim Pracher

Great activities for toddlers! Too expensive.

Casey Moser

Awesome place for kids of all ages!! It also has a breastfeeding station for nursing mothers, which is super convenient.

Tim Cella-Mowatt

All new and entertaining for a few hours. Skip the net climb if you get claustrophobic.

Wayne Barakat

Pretty disappointing. It was clean and well staffed, but all of the exhibits are dated and most don’t work. The ones that do are boring things you can see at your local playground. Considering the price we paid and the options available, we would not be going here again.

Anonymous

Very fun but someone needs to go through items in rooms and throw out broken things.

Lisa Free

Awesome place too pricey

Dylan T. Rogers

This place was great. My 4 1/2 yr old and my 2 1/2 yr old both loved it. A lot for both ages and for my wife and I. The staff was great with the kids. There isnt a cafeteria really here, just vending machines with snacks but plenty of food within walking distance and your allowed back in. That didnt bother me. You can easily spend 3-6 hrs here to keep kids engaged.

Jennifer Ewing

Great time affordable fun activities for all ages 0 to12

Mary Malarky

Awesome awesome place! We took our 8 month old and was able to enjoy all three floors! Great touch/ explore the senses attractions even for the littlest hands. The staff were very helpful, they have socks you can purchase. Will be coming back in a year or two when our child can do more things and explore and learn in new ways. Highly recommended!

Zaynab B.

This place has so many interactive features to it and is so much fun for kids, especially with the renovations. They added amazing new features while keeping old, loved classics.

Kerri Schmidt

I loved being a kid again while playing with my grand daughters.

Octavia Bradford

I had the pleasure of a visit recently during Dollar Days with my sensory sensitive 10 yr old and 11 yr old boys. This place is amazing. Definitely worth the regular admission fee. We travel almost an hour from Frederick to visit. It was surprisingly not very crowded when we arrived. The staff are exceptionally trained to handle children and very friendly. Even the web page manager took the time to thank me for my review. There are numerous activities to fill an entire afternoon. My kids and I just love to visit. I recommend the EGYPT area for hidden fun. Water works is always a 'splash' for any age. The climb to the top floor is our favorite and is big enough for moms to join! Its a wonderful addition to the inner harbor and top of our list every time. Bravo Port Discovery! Looking forward to those new additions in 2019!

Nurah Smith

Please bring socks for ur kids. And now kids 1 and under are free. It use to be two and under. It's a nice place.

Nahir Melgarejo

Amazing experience with my kids! They just love it

Tyler Noldon

Awesome place to take the kids, warning for adults the new slide they have in is super bumpy on the way down, but it wasn't really mad for us anyway :)

Bill Claybrook

Great place for kids of all ages.

Jason Curtis

Is a fun place for kids.

Adrian Williams

Under construction when I went but still a very nice place for the kids to go and hang out. I will be going again soon especially after it is out of construction

Yvette Dorsey

I decided to take my 2 year old grandson and 2 of my older grandkids for a visit. This was our first visit since they remodeled the museum. All I can basically say is that, " I DEFINITELY liked the old Port Discovery design better" My grandchildren, even my 2 year old had gotten board really fast and wanted to leave, It wasn't worth the amount that I spent to get in.

Sean Reeves

My son had a blast. This was a stop during our weekend trip down from New Jersey. He's 4 and thoroughly enjoyed it there. Definitely a great place to go after the a day at the aquarium where the kids can stretch their legs and burn some energy. Will definitely be going back soon!

Shantee Blain

Tires the kids out every time. They never want to leave.

Mike Vaughn

The staff here was incredible-my daughter had a blast!

Imir Woods

Great to let the kids run around and explore.

Neeks Neeksy

Maybe PD was better in the past, but is showing a lot of wear and tear. I love the fact that this location has a water room for children to enjoy, however it often opens late and patrons (with impatient toddlers and young children haveba very hard time dealing when this happens). It's wonderful to see the children enjoying every corner of this room, but there are many activities that could be improved such as the body-sized bubble maker which needs to be more closely attended to by staff since bubble solution levels must be properly maintained in order to work. There's an age appropriate room for young infants under two where parents can feel at ease allowing them to safely explore and be stimulated. But again, many of the materials in this room (such as puzzles, pegs, etc.) are missing pieces, or faded and worn down. Also, even though this is a shoeless room for infants, it isn't really monitored and older kids often run around with shoes on. They sometimes have "story time" in this room, and the last time we attended, the story teller seemed to expect absolute silence from the infants and became agitated with my child for not doing so. There's a very cool super large play kitchen that kids love, but it's overlooked by staff and mostly kept in disarray. There's a decent sized sports arena for The kids to toss around balls, or play soccer, however despite the high number of children, only 1 -2 balls are left out for them to play with. This is frustrating to both parents and children. The museum is good about updating exhibits which keeps it more interesting for members, but overall the place is in need of more employees to maintain the premises and assist guests, and also needs to replace many of the toys and materials which are largely rundown. I'd recommend a yearly visit here, but certainly NOT a membership. I should have spent the money towards a family membership at the National Aquarium.

Meghan Quinn

My niece loved it! She is five years old and she had a blast.

Eleanor Wicks

Port Discovery Children's Museum is an amazing children's museum. This place is great for kids. Lots of different things to interact with. Fun and entertaining much to explore. The staff are friendly and get along with kids well.

Jeremiah Good

This museum, despite being under construction, provides incredible interactive exhibits and activities for children of all ages (even adults can learn something!) in their atrium space and they are accommodating to large & small groups. Their new exhibit should be opening this Summer, with an emphasis on Baltimore's ship industry. The proximity to other family places in the area, like Chick-fil-A (Inner Harbor) and the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, and historical sites like Ft. McHenry and Baltimore Historic Ships make it a winning destination for everyone! I'll be back!

Trapper Goad

A lot of fun things to do but bands are really big and anoyying.

Kari G

Great place to take the kids... they love it! My nephew cried every time we left a room.... then got all excited when we entered a new room and started playing again... so much to do he just didn't want to leave. My daughter enjoyed herself again.... always nice that they have different exhibits so there is always something new each time we go.

Jenny O'Rourke

Plan to spend the day here! The kids will not get tired doing all the activities on 3 floors of fun! Art, a diner, cargo ship, music, etc. Enough fun for everyone. I love the way that they "tag" each kid to the adults with them, that way you can be assured that no one is leaving with your children.

Justin Rosenzweig

The new shipping terminal setup is very neat and lots of fun.

Katie Dell

This used to be a really cool space. I know they had to replace the climber, but myself and my kids were not a fan of the very simple upward climb. It did not hold their attention for very long and they were highly disappointed given our last visits. It also seems like some previous interactive spaces were sacrificed to offices or nonpublic areas which is a bummer. I used to think it was worth the admission but based on our visit after this remodel we will not be back. Also several interactives were out of order and appeared to be long term broken. Disappointing.

Star Wallace

Amazing children's museum. Lots of different things to interact with. Fun and entertaining much to explore.

Jonathan Johnson

Would highly recommend to any family in the area. This is easily a full days worth of stuff to do in only this location. Because of all of the activities I would recommend at it around one adult per 1-2 children. I don't think a family with a bunch (4-5) of small little ones (ages 1-4) and only two adults. I say that because they have a lot of really interactive things to do that kid's that age , at least mine, enjoyed those things more when I was able to explain what they were supposed to do.

Teena Anderson

This place is great! Amazing for kids.

Colin Smith

My Kids love this place. Very educational, while still being fun. We do a road trip every now and then to visit.

Roy Salazar

The old set up was way better. The new set up is just one big open space with two net ladders you climb to get to a big slide at the top and only kids of a certain height requirement can climb it. Port Discovery gave the impression while they were reconstructing, that they were recreating the entire building and rooms. We were disappointed when we saw the same rooms. At least under the old set up where it’s now just one big open space, there were different net spaces/obstacle courses that kids could run to or climb on , this allowed kids of all ages to at least climb or ran into certain net spaces/obstacle courses. The prices are kind of high. It’s pretty much 18$ for everyone, including parents who very likely won’t be doing anything just sitting on the sideline while their kid plays. They should reduce the price for parents. Most places they either don’t charge parents or it’s reduced payment.

Lauren Michelle

Loved it. Well laid out. Best childrens museum in 4 states!

Connie Green

This museum knows their clientele. There's a network of tunnels, rope ladders and slides to change floors and go into exhibits! There are stairs and elevators too if you're not a child or child at heart. I think the museum is best for 7-12 year olds but there is something for everyone here. There's even a dedicated sensory space for those under 2 littles. By the way, if you have under school-age kids, try to come on a weekday-Saturday starts getting crowded early. Bring your own food and put it in a locker until you're ready to sit and eat in order to maximize your museum play time (and stretch your dollar). There's a nice eating area but vending machine food will only take you so far. Lockers are available for rent but are first come first served.

Kathleen M. Maurice

Small, but lots of fun. Good variety of activities. There is a separate room for 6 and under only. Which is great for the little ones, but complicates the visit if you have children in both age groups.

Kelsey Terrones

Overpriced for the experience/exhibits. Also, beware because they will only arbitrarily validate for parking. When we first came in and asked about where to validate for parking (it states they validate for parking on their website and when we asked the girl we bought admission from at the front desk) we were told by security after walking around in circles that they just weren’t validating that day “because sometimes they don’t because it’s a holiday”. Seriously?? We expected it to be crowded as schools were out for the Xmas holiday and it was New Year’s Eve Day, but it was just chaos. We expected the annoying but typical parents not watching their children closely problem, but the staff was not enforcing the rules (like no climbing up the exit ramps from the 4 story jungle gym) and often staff were no where to be found in the exhibits. The only nice thing was that after their New Year’s count down event they handed out free small bags of chocolate chip cookies and apple juice boxes. Finally, they had a small animal exhibit from 11-2 and the contracted company with the animals was already packed up and out the door by 1:30. This same animal show company left a box of small turtles and tortoises on the floor for kids to “touch” unattended and there were kids grabbing them, poking them and at times picking them up and dropping them!!! Not a single person from the animal company was watching those poor creatures because they were too busy packing up!! My husband and I told all the kids multiple times to be gentle and to not pick up the reptiles but of course it was a losing battle. We will NOT be back there again.

Anup Jaya Prakash

Great place for kids to spend some quality time but i feel charging 18 dollars for adults who practically are just taking care of the kids is too much. And charging 18 dollars for a 1 year old who can barely walk is crazy

Daniel T

The redesign was fantastic and the museum now feels very modern. There's so much to do here my kids can easily spend all day playing. They were a little bummed that the new climbing area is so high, as they're afraid of heights. Overall it's fantastic. Parking is $25 though, I wish they'd validate parking though.

Sophia John

Great for a wide age range, went with children age 4-11 and all enjoyed!

Ms.Intentional

DON’T GO HERE until they finish their construction. There are so few stations open for activity that they should have just closed down completely until completion of the renovations. Instead they were greedy and continue to charge families to come in and use about 5 stations that are jam packed.

S J

It was fun experience. I went on 3rd Friday $2 entry from 4 p.m to 8 p.m. Thanks to target. Parking was also affordable. Inside there were many activities for kids. My kids enjoyed a lot. My 5 years old was over joyed with slide. It is a tall slide and getting on top is really fun. I also tried it. They have vending machines only. You can also bring your own food. They have lockers, free of cost. If you are in balitmore and have kids under 12 , should visit it.

Lauren Brunner

This museum is terrific. A bit pricy but buying the membership is worth it if you plan to go more than once. There’s a lot to do and my five and three year olds had a blast. I appreciate the open seating for a bring your own picnic lunch. Have to say that the heroin junkies that are all over the street outside of the museum is a big turn off. I’m not talking panhandlers. I mean individuals nodding out with a needle in their hand on a bench outside. From the third floor window you can even look out to see a cardboard box propped up where people are obviously copping their drugs. Walking by these zombies is a bit disturbing and I wish the museum would do something about it. Watching people score their drugs is obviously a turn off

Michelle Lee

Very fun and friendly, plus the whole family and friends can nJOY!!!☺️

Amber Warren

Awesome place for littles that like to explore. Have multiple floors and things like a restuarant for you kids to play cook, water play room, Egyptian room. We spent about 2.5hrs there. Very crowded bc it was family night. Loved that you have corresponding bracelets with your children that they check at the door to make sure you guys are together before leaving. Really awesome place.

Jennifer Baker

I went on the Friday 2 night and my son had a blast. It was really crowded but with patience and time you get to explore all three floors and see the cool exhibits. My son loved the Royal Farms gas station and would not leave. His other favorite was the water room. I had a coworker suggest to bring extra clothes because they get wet and I'm so glad I did. It was a great place, with tons of things to interest kids.

Lucille Gibson

Wonderful experience for the kids... I would like to see a snack bar there. Also admission is extremely high for adults. I feel I would come there more frequently if price was not so high.

Henry J. Herr

A beautifully renovated facility which occupied my 2 and 3 year old grandchildren for hours. Friendly staff and bright and innovative exhibits throughout the building.

Adam Brotherwood

Always alot of fun kor kids up to 13, miss the big climbing thing they used to have, but the slide and netting they replaced it with is great.

Brian Meltzer

16 month old son had a blast here. Can't wait to go again!

Stacie Naylor

This is probably the biggest rip off. The pictures posted makes this place look amazing, but it's mostly just rooms of used dirty toys. We paid almost $40 for my kid to come here to play and everyone here is so unbelievably rude. My kid is 4, and has had multiple adults run into her, almost knocking her over and not even saying sorry. Kids are throwing hard objects at each other's faces and literally ripping toys out of other's hands and the parents aren't even saying anything. We're out of towners but have not dealt with any other rudeness here. And the machines don't even work! For example, the egg sorting machine doesn't even have eggs anymore, so you can't even sort them.

Jameson Cunningham

Great for little kids. Newly renovated.

Sylvia Williams

Kids loved it enough to keep kids interacting all day

Menachem Goldstein

So many things for your kids to do. There's things to keep everyone 1-10 busy here for hours at a time. There's also benches for adults to sit down when they're tuckered out from joining in the fun. Note: When we came we were offered 10$ off the price of parking (at "harbor parking" with our admission. Ask for a receipt or a a ticket at the entrance that gets scanned when you leave the parking garage to apply the discount.

Matthew Peregoy

Love this place. I know they are closed for construction now and can't wait to see what they add. Hopefully they will do some housekeeping as well. Some attractions were broken or had broken parts or didn't function properly. The play structure has a huge coat of dust on it. Not sure how one would clean that though, so not being too critical.

Kathleen Carroll Combs

Had a good time. Surprised with detailed exhibits, but found it "lacking". Then again, I'm used to Please Touch Museum here in Philadelphia

John Stout

Staff was great, the price was reasonable and they so many options for a 2 and a half year old. I enjoyed myself, we will definitely be back and next time we will be buying the season pass :-) I recommend this location!!!!

Wallace White

Great for kids! With activities ranging from soccer to arts and crafts, there is something for all kids to do and enjoy

Dan Trachtman

There were enough activities for our 1yr old and 3yr old to spend a few hours. So much to do and a lot of fun. My only suggestions would be: Larger restroom signs you can see from anywhere The token machine for the lockers confuses everyone Healthier food in both vending machines

Gracen Collins

So many amazing things for kids to discover. So hands on and it gets your kids creativity going.

My daughter loves this place. We always have a ton of fun, but i recommend going any day except Sunday. This isn't related to the venue, it just seems that the crowd that comes on Sunday is less well-behaved than every other day of the week. I also recommend coming when the exhibits are new. The longer an exhibit has been up, the more likely it is to not work or be missing pieces. That being said, they do a good job of mitigating this, and for the amount of kids that go through here it is amazing what good condition everything is in, even towards the end of an exhibit's cycle. There is an area with lockers and cafeteria tables, so you can bring lunch and eat there without having to carry it with you, which is nice. If you'd prefer to eat somewhere else it is within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and the harbor, and you get "in and out" access with your wristband, so you can leave and come back.

It's really interactive, and it's fun even for teenagers

Didn't know it was under construction but they made due with the space they had and it was nice the people were very friendly the people that were working n the arts and crafts table on Saturday afternoon were the best i wish I could remember there names to give them so much credit the price was nice too

Nick McDougal

Definitely a great places 4 kids I love it just need a little up grades

Iva Floyd Skyrikova

Great place for all ages although not much has changed since I was there first time 10 years ago. We were told they are starting a renovation in January 2019 that should be finished by summer. They have about 3 different floors and they also offer birthday parties. It was a great place for a rainy Saturday.

Super fun children's museum full of fun exhibits with things to discover and do! There is a parking garage next door which is convenient but it is not cheap and there is no café on site. Plenty of bathrooms on each level. Bring a towel or change of clothes if your child wants to play in the water area. If your child isn't wearing sandals they have crocs in various sizes and rain coats they can borrow. Went for an after hours special event so I'm not sure how crowded it would usually be.

Really neat hands on place for children of all ages. Admission fee unexpectedly bit steep on the pockets approx $20(per person Adults&Child over 1 year old). Still the employees are helpful&friendly clean atmosphere for toddlers to play and plenty of climbing space for kids 4&older.

Small but nice, better for kids under 6

MT Patel

We went for a birthday party here and our kids had a blast. So much fun both the kids and adults. They had a lot of other activities for kids who weren’t attending the birthday party too. Definitely a place to take your kids so they burn off some energy!!!

Gil Schaefer

Great fun for children of all ages. Physical activity zones, play areas, and learning areas combine for an excellent experience. For families, they check bracelets on the way out to ensure that children leave with only their caregivers--an added level of security that I find absolutely fantastic and on another level.

Kristen Hammond

Great place for the littles to explore and have some fun.

Ruben Stemple

Very nice children's museum. Giant climbing structure and plenty of activities. Going through reconstruction in early 2019 so things will change but will probably be even better.

Thoma Riviegravere

The closest Children's Museum to Washington DC it is fun for all. Great location, parking garage just steps from the front door, great location to walk a short distance to the Inner Harbour. Pack a lunch and snacks to eat while there on the cafeteria. You can also purchase food from one of the many restaurants located a short distance away. You will want to visit again and again!!!

Ian Terry

Definitely an enjoyable visit, but does not feel completely thought out. Both the use of space and the exhibits themselves feels a little haphazard. Also do not know the age of the museum but many of the features seem to no longer work or at least not as intended. Not worth the cost of admission if the proceeds do not go to keeping up the rooms and toys.

Tim Wade

At the time I visited themuseum was undergoing renovations and most of it was closed. Even so, they provided a delightful experience for my daughter. I intend to return after the project is complete, at which time I have no doubt this place will fully earn 5 stars. In the meantime just be aware that the of activities is greatly reduced for the next several months.

amanda thompson

Love every moment with the YMCA Headstart program.

Jennifer Cooper

I wish I could say it was better. The boat theme is cool. Your child can climb 3.5 stories of one way cargo net and go down a slide. But not for $18 entry fee. The activity rooms are basically the same things you have at home. They're very old. In poor condition. PD is simply one word: underwhelming. Go to Annapolis children's museum instead or sky zone.

Brandy Huhn

We have visited a few times over the years with an assortment of different aged kids. The exhibits are a lot of fun and they appeal to a wide range of ages. The water room is a kid favorite as is the pretend diner.

Natalie LaBoo

I think I this place more than my kids. Nostalgic.

JeRon Fikes

I haven't been here in years, but wanted to take my 2yr old son for his birthday. He had fun, but the place was a mess. They need some renovations and upkeep to the attractions.

Timothy Hoffman

Awesome day! Great activities for every age. There is an amazing maze exhibit right now with a giant cardboard box maze to walk through. We then climbed the Kidworks tower and had a fun time in the Egyptian adventure rooms. We played soccer before heading to the water play area. I am impressed by how every kid entering Tony's Diner immediately "gets it." There were over a dozen kids playing side by side, taking orders, "cooking" food on the grill top and serving up plates to families at the counter and tables. All the parents were grinning at the show. It is the best way to pass a high energy day!

Nichelle Mandjila

Great interactive learning experience for kids! So many activities to keep them engaged. We loved it so much we purchased a 1 year membership on our first visit. They make it easy by allowing you to put the price you paid for your visit towards the membership fee. Love this museum!

Being in the downtown next to a lot of bars is not good idea. Constantly smells urine, because there is public restroom in this area.

Bettye Caryl

We had a great time. Children from 14 through 18 months. Spent hours there. Won't be disappointed.

anandi jothi

Love this place. Great place to take children's. Lot of fun and lot of interesting activities kids (for all ages).

ilucasphotography

Very fun for all ages and they have plenty of areas to go to. The staff are nice and get along with kids well.

Denyell Christman

Went with a 1year old and 2 year old do not feel adults should charged full price and the 1year old also charged full price didn't feel that that age should be full price due to lack of areas for him to participate in.The 2 year old enjoyed it. Learning experience

Anthony Wolfe

Always fun for kids 3 and up. Go on Mondays!

Port discovery is great. It could be MUCH greater. (Update12-18: Port Discovery is due to undergo some radical changes in the next year, tearing out their epic 4 story climbing centerpiece to replace it with something that they promise will be even better. Lots of exhibit changes are in store. I hope they finally utilize all their wonderful space. I suggest you call before you go. Rest of review still stands, will update as time progresses.--) There are days where it is wild and overly crowded, especially before lunch. Fridays there are no groups so that's that's a much better time. I wish their special exhibit planners would focus on more young kid friendly INTERACTIVE exhibits. Too much reading and not enough DOING. I even find a lot of them boring. The 4 story climbing system is first rate. They DO need to replace the cushion at the bottom of the black slide. I don't know why they removed it. The sandbox in the under 3 room is often pretty empty, it needs to be filled and kept filled properly. I had to ask them to add some sand. They have a ton of unused space that could be set up with many fun exhibits and activities. I have no clue what the planners are thinking, but they could make much better use of the wonderful spaces there. Parking is expensive and inconvenient, unless you manage to snag a metered spot on the street. Admission is high, the memberships are a better bet if you plan to go more than twice in a year.
