So much to do! Kid and adult friendly. I posted pictures with prices.

Timothy Bardwell

Awesome place to hang out and take your kids. My favorite exhibit was the bed of nails. Very fun and educational place that makes learning fun and adventurous.

Amber Mosher

My son loves this place and insisted on visiting twice during our stay in Baltimore. It would be nice if the second and third floors had a few more exhibits and experiments in some of the emptier rooms, but the Newtons area downstairs kept us entertained for an hour. Great museum for my 7 year old.

Tuibei

Nice way to teach children about science a little dirty though

elisa lam

Tons of cool things.

Edi Brown

Me and my family loved this place ! Great exhibits.....

Đ

The exhibits were very nice and hands-on, and it's a good place to bring children. The dinosaur exhibit is especially interesting. However, there were many children today, and they sometimes interfered with the hands-on activities. This made it a little hard to enjoy the exhibits. However, I will still come back.

A very great place to go for both Adults and children alike.Great place to have a good time and learn new things as well. Very educational.

dave miller

From Cleveland OH and visiting. Had a great time with our 5/3/1 YEAR olds. A little busy on a Monday with all of the school field trips. But still fun. We ate at the Cafe in the SC and it was very good as well!!

Taushaunna Patience

Always exciting! I can't wait to go back!

Joseph R

The Museum had lots of things to do and kept my 8 year old occupied the whole time. He really liked doing science lab experiments the most.

Rin Suzumori

I went to the science center because of a field trip (was free). It is very interesting, I'd say. I just am not really interested in science. The views, however, were great, and to be honest I just wanted to come to eat the food. . The food was good though. I'm adding another star because they had soy milk. Thanks!! I wasn't really understanding of the movie because I don't really know about the subject though.

Bob Gallo

Mainly geared toward children. For the price of admission, not worth it for older adults.

Lisa V

Pricey for what you get---lots of broken machines---disappointing experience

Maddy Movie Maker

This place is lovely it is fun for the kids and good foe first dates lol

Joshua Rhone

Our family loves the Maryland Science Center. We received a membership as a gift at the end of 2017. The displays are great and interactive, which keeps everyone entertained. The shows are well-done and informative. The planetarium offers a variety of informative and entertaining shows. Discounted parking options are available for members.

Chantay Hardin

Paid $80 to take my two kids here today and it was so packed with school field trips that my kids could not get a chance to do any of the exhibits. MSC should really consider closing the center to the public if there are multiple schools here or at lease informing guest that there are schools on site. I gave it two stars instead of one because if we were able to do the exhibits they looked like they could have been very informative for my homeschooled kids. Such a disappointment and waste of money. I really wish we were able to actually enjoy the center instead of being pushed around by so many kids without chaperones.

Amazing place for family and friends to check out cool stuff. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone anytime of the year. Exceptional helpful staff, 0 complaints. Couldnt be better. Kids love it here, good stuff. Really amazing vibe with great views

Lawrence Robinson

I went on a fridays after five deal. After dinner, it was much more affordable, and being a bit older, it was just enough time to get through everything. I saw the nice IMAX movie, and it was a great end to a long walk around the city that day.

Christopher Weir

This place is great! It is clean, staff is very friendly, and there are tons of events to do throughout the year. Memberships are worth the spend, especially since it takes about two, maybe three, days to really enjoy all the exhibits that are around. We have been to laser events, New year's events, and several others this year. Each time the kids really enjoy theirselves and love teaching their friends when they tag along. Overall, if you want a great place for kids to learn with hands on experience, then this is the place to go!

WDC ASL Branch Executive Secretary

This had been a fun and edicational place to go for 3 generations of my family. There is stuff accessible to all ages and well as some areas dedicated to younger ages or others to specific older youth groups. Even adults can learn somethinf new!

Mike Williams

Very impressed with the 3rd floor play area. It has been several years since our last visit. This is a great day trip with little ones. In contrast to our last visit to Port Discovery, the Science Center wins by a landslide. My 18 month old was not so fond of the Imax but it was a highlight of the trip for my four year old.

The VALLE Brothers and Co.

A great place for entertaining N let your imagination fly

Quinton Yachera

Awesome place had lots of exhibits. The planetarium show was amazing. Guy had lots of enthusiasm

Jeffery Smith

My girl loves the science center. We have a membership and have been 3 times this year. The SciLab is especially fun.

Jeff Dalik

Always a fun time here - woodworking at The Shed was especially great.

Anthony Ring

Everything was dated, and/or broken. Seems like it may have been exciting in the 80's but, things are a tad run down now.

Kristine Amari

This science center is fantastic. There are tons of activities and engaging exhibits for kids of all ages. The children's room is excellent and has an employee at the door to make sure kids don't leave alone so that you can relax while your kids play. The planetarium shows are great and free, offered every hour (imax costs extra). The people are helpful and efficient and are wonderful about moving the linea along when it's busy. Nearby parking is subsided if you're a member; membership is well worth it in my opinion.

Nancy King

Unfortunately, the architect of this museum seems to have been more concerned with looks than functionality. There are great open spaces which are not well utilized, yet the areas for the special exhibits at the time we visited were narrow and over-crowded. At the time we went, people were trying to exit the IMAX, go down the stairs, and enter the popular traveling exhibit, all within close proximity, all at the same time. Parents, mind your chilldren! Additionally, those who are partially mobility impaired, as I am, should BEWARE. There is NO parking around or under the museum (though there are lovely sidewalks and spacious views of the harbor). The closest parking lots are across a wide boulevard with a walk/don't walk sign that is not long enough for get across the street in one go, and the very few handicapped spaces were all taken. There is NO elevator access to the street level. Stairs and a rather steep ramp is mandatory. From the parking lot, it is a good quarter of a mile to the entrance, which is on the back of the museum. Overall, the problems with the physical structure of this museum and its exterior access outweighed my enjoyment of the special exhibit we drove 75 miles to see.

Emily Lauren

One of the best in the country! Very interactive for kids of all ages. Staff are very pleasant. It is hard to enjoy all the exhibits in one trip. Membership is so worth it. There are fun events throughout the year. The Pi day celebration was so remarkable.

Oz Haimovich

I recently came here with my with grade class from kinneret day school from nyc my group and I went to the paleontology section and jack was sitting there’s smiling and he came up to us and greeted us and helped answered questions and really did a great job and we were inpressed

James Boyle

There are scads of educational and fun activities for kids and parents to participate in together. We enjoyed ourselves, stayed for about 4 hours and still didn't see everything. There were about three stations that didn't work for us, but we still had a blast :-)

E M

Science exhibits were good but dated. The main downside is that the individuals working the exhibits didn't care and were more interested in their phones. Also during this visit, my credit card information was stolen by one of the employees. I'd choose another science museum before attending this one.

Necie A

I had as much fun as my kids. There are so many activities for the kids to do. They had demonstrations of many things. In the insect area, you can hold all sorts of insects. There was a chef there that made foods with worms! Nope, I didn't try it, but it was fun to watch him make all sorts of foods. The only thing that was disappointing was the space exhibit. They could have so much more. Other than that, my kids, husband, and I loved it!

Dan De Marco

Lots of interesting and educational stuff .. Not sure how taking pictures during a planetarium show constitutes a copyright infringement but can't blame the staff for following orders... Overall not a bad experience

Rigoberto Avery

Nice science museum with lots of hand-on activities for children.

Andrew Hazlett

So much here for kids to explore. There's a wide range of activities appropriate for different age groups. Interesting for adults too.

LYNN SEMLOH

There customer service is VERY POOR. The pregnant girl on the first Floor concession was pretty bland. N o smile, no" thank you ", no nothing ......it was more of a disaster because I came with a school and the science center didn't have a door stop and they didn't have a worker polite enough to hold the door. It was sad. The exhibits were fine and that's the good of the one star.

Amanda Johnson

Our whole family loves the Science Center! We bought the membership and go frequently, and we have attended several of the special events/activities which have all been really great. Our favorite so far is the "Galaxy Donut Workshop". We made donuts, then made galaxy jars while we waited for the donuts to bake/cool, then made the galaxy glaze and glazed our donuts. Kids and adults both had a blast.

Herchel Skinner

Many hands on learning tools for kids and adults a like and most of them work.

cj Slawson

Visited the science center a yesterday for the first time since 2006. I remember having a great time exploring the exhibits and fueling my desire to know more about science as a whole. After coming back in 2018, I'm happy to see that not much has changed. But at the same time, I'm worried that not many kids may be interested in the exhibits because nothing has changed. I may not know how often they receive young visitors, but if they attempt to update their exhibits (equipment, new discoveries/theories, ect.) they may attract the younger generation. Also, since I don't work there (not sure what happens after-hours) I'm not sure how clean the exhibits are. A lot of children have touched the hands-on learning exhibits and it looks like they haven't been cleaned in a long time. But then again, they could be just worn down.

ernesto monge

It is very cool I have been there exactly 45 times and the workers are chill the place looks like a place where people can have fun while learning and shout out to the owner for being a super cool person Wich is not that "shocking"

Rick Von Linsowe

We bought a membership here, because my daughter loved it so much. Great exhibits, lots of interactive games and tools to see how things work! Great location to tour the city after the museum!

Guy Reeser

Took grandson today, interesting for all ages. Recommend highly.

Kevin Bell

Excellent Place to have fun n learn with your kids

Jacob Smerdon

great way to spend the day. son could play with all of the exhibits.

Justin Woods

Very outdated and dirty.

Jeff P

I'm sure it's great with kids. I on the other hand was alone here on business. Not too much diversity for everyone. Was a little bored. Not the museum's fault but I have been to museum's where the word "children" is in it and it has great exibhits for everyone. Ex. Boston Children's Museum of Science. Is definitely well worth the price and can hang for hours alone.

Bindumadhavi P

I was happy when I got Groupon discount for this place. But when I actually visited this place I was disappointed. Because its not worth the price and if you are tourist who has visited other science centers there is nothing unique here. Also I was shocked when my daughter said she saw a rodent near the cafe. If you have seen places like liberty science center in New Jersey you can skip this one. The sun gazing experience was good though. They really have to improve a lot if they are charging so much.

Nuno Pereira

Extremely informative and interactive Science Center. Had a blast going through every experience.

Jennifer Kelsch

Went with my 6 and 9 year old boys. It was a fantastic experience. We were there from open to close and maybe could have been there longer. Really enjoyed Newton's alley and the planetarium. Another unexpected highlight was the individual carts that were in different sections that had experiments and things to show the kids. Was very nice because there was not much of a crowd. Ate lunch at the center and food was ok. They also had a coat check, which would have been nice to know before. Almost all of the areas were hands on exhibits, which is excellent for kids! Would highly recommend and will definitely be going again.

Matt Heisey

So huge and entertaining - one 5 hour visit wasn't enough for us to see it all. Roy in the planetarium was amazing and Mercedaes at the front desk was so helpful.

Lawrence Tan

The summer hours are 10am-6pm. Regular hours are 10am-5pm Please "like" if this review has been helpful to you.

Al Blackwell

Great place for children who love science. Fun. It's great when you go on a discounted day.

Madeleine Schamehorn

I really enjoyed my visit here. There are lots of exhibits to enjoy, more than we could cover in an afternoon. The hands-on exhibits were clean, functional, and well-labeled with clear, concise explanations. We didn't encounter any that didn't work...nice! The staff was pleasant and helpful, and the planetarium show was well-done. If I had kids and lived nearby, I would definitely look into a membership.

Brian Panico

Lots of fun exhibits. Plenty for kids to do and see. My 10 year old had a real blast and my 2 year old had fun too just running around and looking at everything.

Credible Critic

Nice science museum with lots of hand-on activities for children, especially age 7 and up. Nice dinosaur exhibit, good space and science area, and good area for brain and human activities. Big and spacious 3 floors with plenty of room for the kids to run around. Will definitely take up a couple of hours of your time.

Joshua Clark

Great place to spend the day learning about how stuff works

Peter Yong

Some things are old...still a good place to bring the kids. Some workers looked like they were forced to be working there!

A wolf

awesome place to go with the family while you are in the inner harbor.

Stokes Twins

A great place to check out with your kids.alot of cool stuffs.I just wish the admissions are a little lower.its hard to find a parking since its in the city. We parked at the Crown gallery parking.but if you can take the train it's best to take the train and get off at charles st from owings mills station.because it's more cheaper that way..

Giovanna Chavez

Very nice museum for children. Some if the exhibits need maintenance bur overall a great option for the whole family

Unapologetic Woman

I have fond memories of coming here when I was a kid. The exhibits were really fun and interesting. The 3D IMAX movies were the coolest thing ever. However I haven't been in years, so I realize my review isn't completely valid. I noticed a reviewer said her daughter got pushed out of line by the other parents. Unfortunately times have changed, children and adults are less respectful than they used to be. If I was to go here now I don't know what my experience would be like. Hopefully I can get a chance to go back one day, and if I do I'll post an update.

Reino Hornson

A cool looking museum with loads of educational and entertaining exhibits. I unfortunately didn't get to explore this place, but it looks very interesting! I will defiantly try to come back here, though.

Jerelisa Ward

Very clean, fun for children 8+. Wonderful landscape, activities and helpful staff!!

Rebecca Knowles

Excellent museum! We stopped for a quick visit on our way through Baltimore on a road trip because we get in free with our membership to our local science museum. We enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit, as well as a number of interactive displays/activities with museum staff. We also had a great time at the planetarium show. Our favorite part was the science experiment station we discovered near the body exhibit. The projects were perfect for my 9 year old who loves science, and craves a more hands-on experience. The museum staff member there was wonderful and went above and beyond by allowing my 6 year old to watch, and then engaged her when she lost interest. Finally, both kids found things they love in the museum store, which was not overpriced like most museum stores. We could have easily spent another hour exploring.

T

very entertaining, family friendly, and clean

Aaron G

My kids love this place. We have had many memorable experiences here. The special exhibits are always good and especially the hands on labs up on the second floor.

Jennifer Andres

Great museum. We love the classes that my kids take there and all the rotating activity stations they have. I wish there was a better way to register for the homeschool classes, though. I have called at 10am on the day they start registering and between using two phones I get the answering machine three times, then one line rings for 3 min. before switching to a busy signal, then I sit with a busy signal on both lines, and finally at 10:07 I get through and put on hold. Five minutes later the hold music stops so I think my call is being answered only to be told four minutes later that I am number 10 in line. After another 20 minutes I get to register for the classes which fortunately haven't filled yet, but I wasn't so lucky before. However, the classes are so good that the wait doesn't deter me from registering every time.

Jules stuff

I contacted the center long before our trip, asking if it was a good place for a 2 year old. I was told of the kids room, and that the other exhibits were also all hands on. Well, I would not suggest this center if you're only taking a 2 year old. We stayed less than an hour, and then decided to leave. It was a waste of $50 some bucks for sure (for the two adult tickets.) I'm sure if you have kids older, say around 7 and up it'd be good, but not great for toddlers. Plus there were school field trips when we went, and the place was a mad house. Totally disappointed.

Helen Lee

Most interesting place in Baltimore! Great experience!) Highly recommend to all my friends! Thank you guys!

Eric S Scott

3 generations of my fsmily have enjoyed comong here. There is hands-on stuff for all ages, from toddlers on up. Even adukts can learns spmething new!

Kris & Julie Traut

Great variety of displays and presentations: Energy, Human Body, Space, Fossils & Dinosaurs, Motion, Matter, and more!! Interactive activities. Affordable cafe.

Craig Smith

Good science centre right on the water in the harbour at Baltimore. Has a great planetarium. Would be excellent fun for the kids.

Moishe Singer

Would give this 6 stars if I could. You could spend a few days here and not see everything. Kids loved this museum!!!

H Whitehurst

My kids loved spending the day at MSC. The exhibits we're educational and interactive, and there were many fun activities.

Nurah Smith

As a parent, I found the center lacking. It just didnt have enough depth to the diagrams and show cases. Some features looked very old and out dated. The only thing that won it over for my kids was the kids area on the third floor but other stuff, I am sorry I wasnt impressed. I think port discovery is better. Dinosaurs are not real snd never existed.

Candi Love

Love the science center and so do my kids! It's kind of expensive though. But they have fun and it's pretty fun for adults too, you'll have a good time!

Faith E

It's pricey. After paying $106 for 2 adults and 3 kids hoping to see lots of activities not worth it for the price. Parking in the area range $26- $30 for a day.

Steve Criswell

The only good part was the planetarium. Brought my children here for the day, and have been to the science center 3 other times and it was great. Will not come back here again. The exhibits are old and most not in working order. Other people complained about this and nothing is getting done. We wasted almost $150 for broken exhibits. It is only for small children anymore.

Jewel Cornell

Was a horrible experience. Way overpriced for what they had to offer. Everything was broken and grossly outdated. Not sanitary at all. would not reccommend wasting your money here!!!!

K E

Went with 2 under 2. We and they loved it! Plenty to do, touch, learn. Kids Zone fantastic, but whole place great. Friendly staff. Only con was inclusion of Elmo in planetarium.

Kevin Song

I went here for a school science trip and this was going to be the last field trip of the whole school year. They have really cool experiments for students and visitors to do, awesome exhibits like the nail bed, and other things that you can play with. This is a place that I would recommend going to if you are visiting Baltimore.

8990000 at Gmail dot com

Good place, but wasnt my time of entertainment. It does nothing for me but make me think Im learning a subject in high school. For kids, probably a good place to take.

Sang Nguyen

Great place but there was a few stations that needs to be operational.

Vickie L

Got our family membership with Groupon. 1st visit with my girls on our membership. Rainy day fun and indoor exercise while the girls explore.

Amy Policarpio

We had a lot of fun here. It's very hands on, great layout, and we really enjoyed the video presentations in the planetarium

Deep West

A bit dated and dirty. Gets boring quickly. Many things are broken No free parking. Food is absolutely terrible ( worst of the worst)

Thomas Hannigan

Great for kids

Cruise The Autistic Boy

my favorite part there was the Sesame Street movie in the dome thing. my mom thought this place was bad, but i thought i was good.

Matt Berens

Between IMAX, The Planetarium and about 1000 other games/experiments/lessons, it could be the best place in Baltimore for families. We come 2-3 times a year!

Keith Saroka

Great variety of exhibits

Margaret Ledes

This place was overpriced for what they were offering. It's mostly made for kids, but there were some parts that were geared towards adults, too. Sadly, a lot of those things were broken or out of order. It was a waste of nearly twenty dollars. I didn't pay the extra for the IMAX movie they were showing. Maybe that would have been enjoyable, but the rest was not.

Tie Dye

Went with my 6 and 9 year old boys. It was a fantastic experience. We were there from open to close and maybe could have been there longer. Really enjoyed Newton's alley and the planetarium. Another unexpected highlight was the individual carts that were in different sections that had experiments and things to show the kids. Was very nice because there was not much of a crowd. Iconic Street15

The Maryland Science Center is marvelous museum that is great for families and students. It's located in the Inner Harbor and is also 4-blocks away from The Charm'tastic Mile of Baltimore. They have great exhibits The Dinosaur exhibit is extraordinary and a exciting thing to see. There is a number of good restaurants to choose from.

praing mantis

We always love coming to the Maryland Science Center. Kids and adults have a great time. Lots of fun activities. The kids always start talking about past exhibits they have seen and can't wait to experience them again.

Matt Goode

Lots of great things... Little dated. Some exhibits haven't changed much in ages. Also, usually mobbed on the weekends, school holidays - naturally.

Paul Zheng

So much to do here! The exhibits and attractions for this place is beyond a person’s excitement. One time when I was there, an associate conducted an experiment where he lit foam on fire. While it does not have any living creatures to showcase, the standards for science exploration and education is a little better than the aquarium.

Jamar Bullock

The Maryland Science Center is a beautiful museum that is great for families and students with lots of hands-on activities for children. I really enjoyed my visit here. The structure inside the museum was gorgeous, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend!!

I'Kei Amuquandoh

Went here for a field trip several times. The exhibits are awesome and the interactive stuff is even better. A great place to take kids in elementary and middle school. The IMAX theater is also a lovely theater.

Lori Caldwell

I spent an entire afternoon exploring the King Tut exhibit when I was here for a conference. The architecture inside the museum was beautiful and the staff were polite and helpful.

Nimisha George

The Maryland Science Center was extremely entertaining and interactive for an adult. I was lucky enough to enjoy the Dollar Day in December (yes, just $1.00 to visit this super cool place) when I visited the harbor with friends. My only suggestion to the MD Science center is please advertise your events on the Visit Baltimore page. This is an awesome place with many free events (like every Friday Night Stargazing) and a great way to get your inner kid out!

Dorothy Elwood

It is a very interesting place. A lot of learning tools. Amazing. I had a big trouble for parking.

KC Miller

It's great for kids, and I enjoy it as an adult. We take our kids age four through seven, and they love how everything is interactive. The place is huge, and it's great for a day visit or a couple hours. I look forward to taking my little ones when they're a little older, too. It seems best for ages 5 to 12. We enjoyed a bubble show when we went as well as the planetarium that has several different shows every day.

Mr XP

A fun museum for all ages.

Matt Merkel

A fun, modern science center. Nicely maintained, though a few exhibits are naturally off-line for repairs at any given time. The dino section was really quite something, with many of the always-popular carnivores on display. Plenty to keep the kids busy for most of the day (depending on the kids in question, of course) and probably wear them out, too. Not really cheap, but a fun place if science centers are your thing. The cafe wasn't bad, but next time I might prefer walking out to one of the other dining options in the area.

Connie Green

I highly recommend you plan your trip and make the science center visit work for you according to the ages of the participants in your group. Decide if you want to view the IMAX movie or participate in an experiment or if it would make your group happier to simply explore each of the floors and interactive stations. The science center can become very crowded with large groups so also consider visiting during off-peak times. I recently visited with our school and first grade classes and they seemed to really like the "bed of nails," the dinosaur exhibits, and the interactive stops along the way when museum staff would lead them through a concept. The science center staff was wonderful with the students and truly knew how to provide age appropriate content.

Diane Rhoton

It is a great museum for kids in 4th to 6th grade. I went with my child's school trip and kids truly enjoyed the museum especially the wet lab. Imax was about volcanoes which was ok. If your child is into hands science he/she will enjoy this place.

Erin Coolahan

Lots to do and always a great time. BUT PLEASE ADD HAND SANITIZING DISPENSERS!

Tom Sanders

Huge place , the museum looks so beautiful form the outside, specially at night and even during the sunset. Now, the inside is also great , and so many things to look at .

Irvin Glado

Horrible experience here. Not a friendly staff at all. It’s a big thumbs down for the whole staff

Leah B

Geared mostly towards younger ones but still fun as an adult. Seems like a great place to bring children as there are many hands-on exhibits. $24 for adults.

Dan Borowicz

This should have a been an enjoyable day trip with grandkids, especially for what it costs to get in. There is no excuse for the number of exhibits that are either broken or not fully functional. Very disappointed.

Abdullah al saeed

They were nice with us, the staff. I loved that section they have that u can try simple physics in it .

Jennifer Baker

Our family had a great time exploring the Maryland Science Center and found all kids were kept occupied from ages 6 to 14. The bed of nails attraction where one was literally lifted into the air on a bed of nails was the family favorite. Kids als enjoyed the many interactive exhibits and extracting DNA experiment. Staff was pleasant and happy to answer questions. Buying a membership saved our family quite a bit and we are excited to use it at other science and historical centers throughout the US.

Josh Tyler

The staff is friendly but nothing has been updated or changed since 1994 is dirty all the exhibits are exactly the same it's a history museum not a science center

Alan Semon

I was a member here years ago and visited it regularly. Besides all of the informative displays, I really gravitated toward the hands-on stuff. It is often crowded during the school year due to class trips, but if you can stick it out, they leave in the early afternoon and things generally quiet down.

Ben

This is a kid's museum. Way overpriced at $25.00 for an adult. There isn't much here that is very interesting for adults but for kids I'm sure it would be better but still to me it's just not that great and I felt it was a waste of our time.

ousman bouba

Brought my kids here, we did not enjoy it so much. The only thing that was interesting and got our full attention was the planetarium. The rest seemed to be out of place and with no significant order whatsoever. The staff didn't seem to be very helpful and at times they seemed to be more worried about what they would do that night then helping the visitors

Jeffrey Teal

Lots of interactive exhibits. Will definitely take our kids soon, but didn't feel out of place just going as a couple. Food expensive.

Jordan Engel

Dated, dull, expensive. Covers the bases, like bones, pendulums, etc, but the whole feel is a little lethargic.

Daisy C

Maybe as a kid, it seemed a lot better and more impressive than it is now. I've been plenty of times, and the only thing I can say that consistently impresses me is the dinosaur exhibit. As others have stated here before, the museum has A LOT of space... And yet fails to utilize it to its advantage. A lot of the exhibits are very old and haven't been updated in years- or cleaned, for that matter. It feels as though it keeps shrinking, and half of the exhibits are not even in working order. People also seem to not know how to raise their kids to respect taking their turn, but that's always been a problem and it's not much staff can do. What's there is fun for the first time, but gets old after a while. What I remember is the Grossology traveling exhibit, where there was a lot to do in addition. Maybe I'm imagining that, but here's to hoping I'm not.

Alan Riley

Great science museum for kids of all ages. Don't miss the planetarium shows and the IMAX.

S Johnson

The place is not nearly as big as it looks from the outside--it's about a tenth the size of the Museum of Science in Boston, which I encourage you to travel to instead. The dinosaur exhibit is tiny and contains very few bones or fossils, and the electricity exhibit doesn't even have one of those electricity balls. There is some interactive stuff for kids if you're merely coming here to let them run loose, but if your looking for more--and esspecially if you're not coming here with children--do not bother... It's definitely not worth the $25 adult admission.

mike eaton

Went there on a field trip in middle school. Had a lot of fun. Best part was the mission control in the space exhibit.

Steven Madewell

Great science museum right on the Inner Harbor. We were members for several years, but the final year of our membership was not honored, resulting in us being rudely turned away. I tried calling to sort the issue out, but was told they had no record of us ever having a membership. It’s unfortunate because we really enjoyed visiting and learning, but now opt to visit other museums.

Brandie Vassor

Went for a school field trip and the kids had a blast! Every educational, hands on, staff was very informative, and the demonstrations were fun. Will return.

Always a worth while visit. Pair it with a quick visit of the aquarium for a filled day.

Amazing place for the kids. The entire family will have fun as well. All exhibits are interactive and the kids will be able to play all day without getting bored. Be sure to check out the schedule of the experiments they do throughout the day. If you are thinking about coming more than twice per year. Check out the memberships on Groupon. They are available a couple of times per year at a discounted rate. We have already been five times in these last 8 months and have not yet seen it all, and will be back.

So, I just had my wife's surprise bday party (7/6/19) at the MSC rooftop and we could not have asked for any better venue, food, drinks or service. I had been working with Meghan, who is in charge of rentals, since October. She was the best. She helped me pick out the menu, well actually, she picked it out and I just approved it. The food she picked was fantastic. Every time I came to visit and plan for the party she was there providing advice at every turn. Not once did I feel as if I were a bother. I came so much Eddie at the front desk knew me by name and was always willing to help or get me up to the rooftop. On the day of the event Meghan, who had been with me at every turn, could not attend due to a personal engagement out of town. However, in her stead was Renita and Darrick. Darrick and Renita were the greatest. Days before the event rain was called for but Renita and Darrick reassured me we would be fine even if it rained. I even called them the day before and the day of to make a decision and they again reassured we were fine. Yes, it rained and not once did it stop our party. The entire staff (butlers, bartenders, security) worked instantly to respond to the rain. We never knew it was raining because the staff responded so fast and closed the tent walls. The rain definitely did not put a damper on our parade. Every guest told us they loved the drinks, the food, and the STAFF! I am now trying to come up with another event just to have it at the MSC rooftop because everything was amazing and yes even in the rain. So, if you are reading this to decide if you should have an event here or not, I can say with great certainty that this is where you want to have your event. You cannot beat the view, staff, service, food or drink. Meghan, Renita, Darrick and Eddie you and your crew are the best. I can't wait to work with you all again! Thank you for one of the most fun and memorable parties ever. BTW the photos with this reviews are photos my photographer took not stock photos. They had it set up so nice it was damn near impossible to take a bad photo. Warren V. Chambers

Great for infants! They have a room devoted to 24 months and under (:

All and all a great day. We did see a mouse on the third floor (not part of an exhibit), but I guess is somewhat to be expected in a place where small children are constantly snacking. It was otherwise clean and well maintained.

Kids friendly, many activities to do

Nadine Morrin

We are members and the kids LOVE coming here! So much to do!! great place!!

We took our kids to the science center and was going to do the imax also. But we never made it past the ticket booth. We have a service dog and staff told us he could not come in because he dont do a task..... Like a seeing eye dog? Thing is he does do a task, he is trained and certified. Thanks for crushing a family outing that we all looked foward to and saved for. Please update your staff about service animal so another child's dream isn't crushed!

John Nguyen

Great science center for little and big kids. Hands on activity lab, demonstration, IMAX and planetarium. Parking across the street behind Royal Sonesta hotel.

Jodi Oakley - Rancik

Great show but once it starts they should not let late people in. It disrupts the experience

Jes love

So much fun highly recommend for children (and adults too) The planetarium is awesome!

Eddymie Wooten

Fantastic for kids! Especially home schoolers! We've been there dozens of times, and still have not experienced everything!

I recently visited with my 10 year old son, and was very disappointed what the experience. We entered the center and went to the desk to purchase tickets and was greeted or should I say lack of greeted by the employee at the desk . We both said hello and she didn't even look or have any response very disrespectful, we got tickets and there where no even collected scanned or looked out by any of the other employers through out the exhibit. When I contacted the center there response was it a self guided center, so does that mean people don't have to be rude or disrespectful . My son who has an interest in science was just upset about the whole incident that we went through some exhibits and left.

Had a great day here. Everything is hands-on. Friendly staff. Between all the exhibits, planetarium, and IMAX theatre we were there 10:30-7:00 and definitely got our money's worth.

Thoma Riviegravere

Our visit to the science center was the favorite of our whole trip! We showed up after lunch and it was fairly quiet even on a weekend. Our girls just loved all of the interactive exhibits. We were surprised how long we were able to spend! Almost three hours! We did a show at the planetarium too which was very informative! Our girls loved the science experiments in the science lab too. It was such a great day!

Dinosaurs AND science projects to keep kids interested. Yea the bronto is BIG

John Jackson

It was a blessing to go on a school trip with son from jersey to Baltimore Maryland boat ride ,the aquarium the sites baseball and football stadium the dolphin show very nice place to visit

Chris Melinosky

Great place for kids. Small enough to see everything in half a day but great exhibits. The dinosaurs were especially great as is the interactive part on the human body. Parking is easy to find on the streets and is inexpensive. I also recommend the dippin dots!

Adam Tsottles

Very long wait to enter and no separate entrance for members. The exhibits are nice but overall the place is very poorly managed.

Tony Altar

Some things were great, others, a bit worn out and low tech, even for kids. The center could use some upgrades, but overall, a lot of fun, great building, the dinosaur exhibit was awesome and wonderful hands on opportunities. Plenty of great stuff for 5 hours of fun and education.

Melissa Hunter

Was an ok experience. Some of the things my grandchildren wanted to do were either broke or closed. Quite pricey for the experience.

Laura Clark

The kids had a fantastic time with all the interactive exhibits, we probably spent an hour in the water table area alone! The dinosaurs were fun as always and they enjoyed playing with all the kid friendly experiments on the first floor. We upgraded to membership. So we will be back for more fun!

Jason Brown

Awesome activity for families. Great room for young children to explore and have educational fun!

Kelvin Hart

There is a lot for kids to do. The scientific concepts are easy for kids to grasp and it is fun at the same time. The pop up demonstrations are the best !!!!!!

Randy Ram

I went here while visiting the Harbor on vacation. The science center is amazing. You have fun while simultaneously learning a lot.

Brittany Smith

I haven't visited here since October 2011, so please disregard the visit date. This is a great museum. It was my husband's and my first date when we first started dating.

Victoria Chitavita

Visited this place with 2 grandkids (3 years old and 18 months) today August 14, 2018. They had a blast! So much great stuff to do. They loved a Sesame street show at the planetarium. We spent 3 hours and kids didn't want to leave. Highly recommended!
