Very nice interpretive center with exhibits, knowledgable and friendly staff. On street parking. Walk down past the municipal pool to see the dam for the old cotton mill. For a mill, go about 2 miles north on route for Savage Mill on the left.

A great place to check out. Very clean and well kept with updating exhibits. It is a tiny museum tho. Great for being Free entry museum! Open most days 1pm-4pm.

Small museum, so not a whole lot to see, but very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. It's worth going just to hear all of the fascinating little stories about the town.
