Worth a visit. I didn't do a tour. I simply wanted to see the exhibition on the Domestic Slave Trade. I learned a lot and like what I saw inside and around the museum. Entrance was 5 bucks with my student ID. Johns Hopkins is gettin how they live. I don't see myself returning unless it is for another exhibit I especially want to see. Four Stars.

Please go if you haven't been here. This is a groundbreaking way to tour a historical home. The focus is not only on the white family that was in residence but every person who called this place home.

I've only walked through here once, but the first impression was very nice, and the museum often hosts various displays and historical presentations. Other than that, this place serves mostly as a feature on the Hopkins campus rather than a place you would visit.

The home is beautifully restored, the tour is informative and personal. We learned about the history, the lives of the family, the servants and enslaved, and their personal stories. Every room is filled with Carroll family pieces or period pieces, photos, descriptive plaques. It was a bargain at $8 a person, gift shop is cute, personnel are friendly and knowledgeable.

Barely reach to the 4 stars. It's a nice mansion/house and the tour guides were nice. Admission is expensive for the size of the tour, but it's free for JHU students.

Underrated part of campus
