The House was not open when we visited. The grounds are spacious and large. It is a very nice setting in the heart of Upper Marlboro. The parking lot is large.

Just visited Darnall's Chance for their "I spy" activity today! I brought my 3 children, their grandmother, and their 5 cousins. The actors/actresses made this activity awesome!! It was fun for all of the kids (ours were 6 - 13 years old) as well as myself and my mom!!! We learned very cool techniques used back in the times of George Washington!! We were given secret letters to deliver to different historical people and they showed us some awesome and very cool ways to decode the secret letters! I loved this and recommend for ANY age!!!!! Big Thank you to Darnall's Chance museum staff for this!!

Went to museum for the Spy Tour but wasn’t able to see it. Got there early, was told to wait 15 mins. Waited 15 mins came back went inside was told to wait for que. Went out back door, because I was told to leave out that way. Get around front same lady has started tour with a group. We tried to join but she started whispering with them and gathering them close. Seemed like it was part of tour. She looked our way but continued whispering to the group. My two kids and I left. They really should get better communication.

A wonderfully restored historic home from the 1700s. The docent had an amazing knowledge of the local history of the area from the colonial times. Maryland has such a long history (for America). Great to see historic homes preserved like this.
