My children and I greatly enjoyed our time learning about African art and African history. It was really fun. We will definitely be back.

I had a wonderfully educational tour at this museum, and even though the display was very small compared to the Smithsonian, I really enjoyed it and they have very unique pieces of art ! It is a little hard to find though because the property developer refused to give them proper signage . .. it is connected to the large Methodist church, next to the fabric and quilt store.

It was the best thing I did that day. If you love art you will not be disappointed when you see the beautiful artworks African people have created.

I decided to be fair and not write this review while I was upset at this venue. I did my part and waited two full days and I am just as agitated. I went to this place during business hours (as advertised on their own website) and, on a Saturday no less, rhe place was closed. I drove about 45 minutes with a professor of anthropology and sociology who lives in South America, only to be greeted by a “closed” sign (when they were supposed to be open. I even asked a woman innthe adjoinkng church if she knew why they were closed and, though not her responsibility, she hinted that they should have been open and the person who was supposed to be there didn’t seem to leave for good reason. This was frustrating and embarrassing for me, not to mention a waste of valuable time. The we site is eager to solicit donations for their museum, but they owe me an explanation. GO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Great collection of authentic old tribal African items collected personally by the Founder, a woman of great commitment and dedication, now over 80. She gives tours of the pieces in this very small space, and presentations to groups including school visits can be arranged. They don't have funds to expand but it's a wonderful presentatiin. The collection has little signage on the displays so call ahead to get the tour!

We really enjoyed this museum. It is small which is nice and has lots of very interesting African art from masks, staffs, pictures, jewelry, made from wood, stone, metal, skins, and more. Very clean and the art is very well marked. Beautiful place.
