The perfect place for a walk, a picnic lunch, for photos, to explore, and learn about our local history. An array of geocaching to be done there as well.

I haven’t been here in season yet, it hasn’t opened for tours, so I will update this review once it does! But for the winter, this is a beautiful place to come and explore for a dog walk or to take a little picnic and enjoy the view. The water is beautiful and serene, and it’s a nice flat walk through the fields that’s great for kids.

A very nice place for a walk. I haven't actually toured the inside of the house, though that looks interesting. The grounds are free to walk around. There's a fee for the house tour. Nice gardens. Nice views along the river. There are connecting paths to the Vaughn Woods paths. Parking was free (the Vaughn Woods park requests a fee/donation if you park on that side).

Attended a wedding here and the grounds were beautiful! Lovely views out over the water and well tended garden made for an elegant location. One draw-back to our visit was the wet ground which left all of us with muddy shoes!

They have outdoor concerts in the summer, can wander through the gardens before the music. We got there early so that we were able to find a spot in the shade as it was a fairly warm day.

I walk my dogs in the field behind the Hamilton House 3-5x a week. It's a beautiful setting and a beautiful property. If you get a chance and you're driving by, you should take an afternoon to throw a picnic here.

Absolutely outstanding place to visit. Wonderful grounds to walk around. Beautiful garden, incredible views of salmon falls and an excellent walk around Vaughn woods. If you're looking for a quiet nature walk, visit.

Jessica Gaines

One of my all time favorite views - looking out across the Salmon Falls River from the back of the house. The essence of peaceful. And the manicured gardens are delightful as well! They've recently rebuilt a traditional stone wall that is just perfect. And the fact that you can walk to Vaughn Woods is quite the bonus!

The place is lovely to look at but I never see staff and I should look into how I can see inside the house. Is it haunted?
