A small but quaint little museum with dedicated and passion staff. Please support this museum!

An interesting place to chill out and slowly wander through the gallery. When I visited they had a an exhibit by Ann Craven who is known for her bird paintings. Good way to pass an hour or so. Once you are done it's a short walk to the center of Rockland.

Another wonderful addition to Maine's, and Rockland's art scene. Makes Rockland a wonderful mid coast destination given the the other galleries and museum already there. Love the facility. Am hoping it can be doubled in size.

Dave Sill

This is a small museum but well curated. They cover a couple artists pretty deeply and a couple more less so. We'll be back. Photos are of John Bisbee's work.

Clarke Thomas

Small museum with large galleries of selected artists.

Nathan Gross

The featured exhibits are engaging and include insight into the artists' inpirations, processes, and methods. I left feeling that I'd learned enough to appreciate more deeply the art and the work it took to create it. There is a great workshop (called ArtLab) where hands-on education is provided. My kids did an art project related to the current exhibit, but ArtLab is available to all ages. Check out the website to see the schedule.

We love Marty!

Fate conspired to allow me to enjoy the exhibition Boundaries all to myself for quite an extended time with no other people passing through or looking in. I felt alone as one lost in the fog along the Marin Headlands gazing at the city. Across the bay. Where I once lived and spent a day on Angel Island. And tried to imagine it being years.

Lori Schafer

Love my local art museum. Current shows are breathtaking. Thank you so much!

This is one of Maine's newest Museum gems. It has three different sized exhibit spaces and attracts world-class artists all the time.

Eric Rector

James Guerra

Rich Gravelin

Ran Ranalli

A very nice Gallery with well displayed exhibits, enjoyed it tremendously.

Jennifer Markel

The art they had I enjoyed. The place itself was very very small. I wouldn't have paid $8 if I had known how small it was. There were plenty of galleries I could walk through for free.

Tom Marshall

Beautifully displayed modern art in an open inviting environment.

Bob Zambarano

Mathew Longanecker

Fantastic art lab where you can make your own art. Great for kids and adults. The museum has several rooms of contemporary art on display. Excellent way to spend an afternoon excercising your creative mind.

Great art stop on the coast of Maine. Short walk from the Farnsworth. Don't miss this if you are in Rockland, if you aren't in Rockland, go there.

Brad Sealfon

Great art... Farnsworth has some solid exhibits, but CMCA is equally solid & memorable. Im from New York, and think CMCA is definitely worth visiting!

Mary Alex

What a fun place. The exhibits were extremely different. The bird paintings were quite vibrant. I looked forward to the map exhibit, yet found it a bit depressing. Loved the You Can Dream It exhibition much more than I expected. It took us slightly over an hour to take it all in. We wished there were more exhibits.

Laura Cabot

a beautiful new museum with cutting edge exhibits

Russell Furdell

Always wonderful exhibits and helpful staff.

Like getting only an amuse bouche when you expected a full meal, this gallery will barely whet your artistic whistle. Hopefully, it will grow if supported by the community. It's hard to compete with the many fine galleries in town , who proceeded an excellent art experience for visitors.

Krystal Ryan

Daniel Steffann

Cary Hanson

Small museum had three great exhibits when we went. It's size lets you really take your time to examine the works and let the effect settle in.
