My grandparents old house. The museum was fantastic but is now closed. The house is starting to get into disrepair as well. It's a shame. I hope they can fix it up again as it is certainly a historical landmark and a wonderful place to spend your childhood at with my grandmother's Gardens and my grandparents paintings that they restored throughout the house. Good luck for that beautiful old house and I hope it becomes the museum again soon.

The guided tours at the New Orleans African American Museum was very informative. I learned some new history about slavery. The museum artifacts are very unique. I really enjoyed the Treme Walking Tour. We saw the film locations of HBO TV Series Treme. Treme is the oldest Black neighborhood in the United States.

This is an amazing place. Currently the museum is only using one campus. But there's an exhibit there now Paper Monuments. It is great. All the history in New Orleans is there. Well not all the history. But a lot of it. Especially some of the most impactful stuff.
