This Museum corresponds to the category of Museum.
I am not a boxing enthusiast but I truly enjoyed this immersive experience. I came in with some knowledge about Muhammad Ali. However, there was SO much more to this man's legacy. And it is all covered here. The center is well accommodating as there is seating at almost every exhibit, wide aisles, not harsh lighting, etc. The interactive experiences are abundant. My children (7, 10, 15) had a great time learning and exploring the center. I highly recommend this trip for anyone!
The intro movie was the best part!
A definite must go to when visiting Louisville. The museum is huge with lots to see. Will take about 2 hours to go through. Great for everyone, from not knowing much about Muhammad Ali’s life and those who know all about it.
Very interesting place to know a Lot of things about Muhammad lite and career.
So much to see and learn from and about the GOAT. I will go again it is so much to take in, you need about four hours to enjoy the museum.
Lovely place, very inspiring. My kids loved it during the Ali week. They had the first responders and fun games for kids...my kids had a wonderful time here..
Very touching and informative on the life of Ali, I enjoyed the center.
Nice invite Toda my first time goin my kid n I enjoyed seeing Ali brother also
Beautiful facility with great content. We really enjoyed our time there
Decade of this Is AN incredible experience and a phenomenal tribute to the great Muhammad Ali and his multitude of contributions to the Louisville's community as well as the world ! He was the Greatest..
Had a great time learned a lot
Wow! Huge place with lots to experience. Make sure to let them know you are student or military as they have discounts for that. Definitely recommended.
Always love coming to this place when I come to Louisville. It is amazing to see this history. Also to see the amazing relics. Awesome staff
Great museum about a fascinating figure. Good for 2 hours or so.
This mueseum is so inspiring!
This place is amazing! What a great way to learn about Ali, as well as the history of the Civil Rights Movement!
Loved it. So much to learn, do. Need all day to take it all in.
Excellent
Great place. The heart of Louisville... the background of Muhammad Ali... great time
Terrific architecture! Want to research what the parts represented to the architect. Didn't know much about Ali. Loved his poetry and his benevolence, especially with children when he traveled. Saw him once years ago in a convention hotel. He was HUGE. Good experience for young people.
A very unique museum! Very educational.
If you are interested in the life and times of the great Muhammad Ali, this is a must see! Lots of info, videos, memorabilia, and interactive activities.
Wonderful display of The Champs life and legacy. Definitely a must visit for everyone.
Went to a reception there held by the university where I graduated. Very cool place, and of course very cool guy (Ali)
I was moved. I spent 2-3 hours here. Lots of information what an extraordinary person. It was hard to leave so much goodness to absorb. Inspirational
Very nice place, lots of things to remember 'The Greatest'. And also a lot of info about him that were never public. My admiration for him is even bigger now. The place is awesome and the personal are very professional and courteous.
Awesome place to visit. Unfortunately I went as a chaperone so I didn't have the opportunity to see everything but what I did saw, it was great. Planning of going back another time to really see everything.
A great tribute to a great man. A lot of history on one place.
Not really much to see. Cool view of the river and has a big escalator. Otherwise it’s kind of boring. If you are into boxing and/or Ali, that obviously would help.
Not only he was the greatest of all time but the center is so colorful like the the champ I grew up watching his fights with my dad and interview with Howard Cosell and Mohammed Ali center shows the history so well it is a place that is must see off the greatest
It was amazing!! Very educational, there were things about Muhammad Ali that i didn't know! Very nice! Can't wait to come back again!!
This was a fantastic museum and a highlight of my trip to Louisville. I learned a lot about Muhammad Ali, and thought the museum was laid out wonderfully. My only regret was that I didn't have a whole day to really go through everything, I would definitely come back. Also, Patrick, who works in the gift shop, was so nice and helpful. He had a killer restaurant recommendation for me and my friend.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Muhammad Ali Center. Everything was reasonably priced.. Very informative and gave me a deeper admiration for Cassius Clay, the GOAT himself.. The design was awesome from the actual boxing rings to the enlightening videos. I recommend everyone to check it out whenever in Louisville. It'll be well worth every second!!
This is a wonderful place to visit. Hate to admit but I did not know much about Muhammad Ali. You will leave with a much better understanding of the whole person, much more than his boxing career. Although his boxing career is also covered, so you won't be disappointed if that is your primary reason for visiting. The center is 5 stories and you start at the top and work your way down. Very impressive, not to be missed!
Amazing museum. Great place to visit if you live in or out of Louisville
It's very beautiful has so much about alot Legend
Admission is very affordable, staff was amazing!! You could easily spend hours there, each floor is packed with his lifes work. I love that you can touch screens and hit bags. His championship belt was my favorite!
Very interactive self guided tour. They really did a great job in breaking down not only his athletic career, but who he was as a person. Only thing missing is a statue.
Informative and. INSPIRING museum. The staff is extremely friendly. Had a great visit...thank you!
It was great to visit Mohammad Ali Center. Technology is used perfectly to design this place in order to reflect his life. Also, staff is very friendly and nice. Parking fee is $2 per hours so it is very affordable.
Wisdom on the walls. I think that everyone should spend time learning the legacy of the Greatest....
My family and l were on the road trip this was a great lay over. My 3 year grandson enjoyed this also.
This place is an amazing and insightful view of the life and career of Brother Muhammad Ali!
A must see in the McConnell/Trump America. “ Who’s the greatest”, confident and black.
A well thought out center dedicated to the life and values of Muhammad Ali.
AMAZING PLACE TO EXPERIENCE I'AM GOING AGAIN IAM bring my 05kids
Had a wonderful time here with the family! A must do in Louisville. Friendly people and great place.
Great exhibits highlighting the career of a great human being
Beautifully put together! Learned a lot.
Awesome experience! Soo looking forward to going back. My 9 year old loved it.
Plan on a couple of hours at least. Interesting, moving, inspiring. Dont miss the gift shop
Such an inspiration to go through. Expect to be there for hours. Lots to read about. Enjoyed watching the fights! ALI!
One of the "Greatest" museums I've been to (pun intended). Ali is one of my all-time favorites but I think even the more casual fan will enjoy it.
I LOVED this place! I knew of Muhammed Ali as a pro boxer, but was interested in learning about him as an individual. There was a wealth of information about him displayed on the walls through quotes and on television screens. If you're ever in downtown Louisville, you won't be disappointed.
My daughter visit this place she loved it and enjoyed herself
Ali Center staff are very attentive and it was greatly appreciated! Coordinated an event for 500+ people and Morgan was SUPER accommodating with guests needs! I’ll definitely be back to visit!
I attended the center for a wedding. The glorious festivities aside, it was my first time in the Ali Center. I was greeted by knowledgable, friendly, professional staff. The center itself is immaculate and has an interactive exhibit. I enjoyed the place
Completely engrossing history of a man in his prime, enduring pivotal times in American culture.
This place is a great tribute to one of our greatest heros.
The Ali center is truly a gem in Louisville. I would recommend it to anyone in the area...I learned things about Ali and the impact he had world wide.
Muhammad Ali life is one of humanity's greatest modern day stories . You will walk his path as you follow the exhibits that celbrate his extraordinary life. He was the G.O.A.T
5th and 4th floor have Muhammad Ali history and exhibits but everything else is just random pictures and art. If you can get in on a discount I can see it being worth it but not at full price.
One of the greatest museum of the life and history of the greatest fighter of all time and what He did outside of the ring is a amazing learn a lot of Muhammad that i didn't know about glad i went to see His life story.
Awesome experience! I thought I knew quite a bit about Ali, but I learned more than I thought I would going inside. This will be an experience everyone should participate in.
Loved the museum, especially the short documentary chronicling his life and charitable giving.
Tremendous rememberence and inspirational. Terrific footage, pics, Neiman paintings made my heart skip a beat. Social justice focus was heightened today by a large citizenship ceremony and a photo exhibit on homelessness. Don't miss it when you are in town
I love this place! It definitely was an experience.
If you like art and museums this is a place to visit! Most importantly if you are a Muhammad Ali fan! The center is very clean and centrally located in downtown Louisville, KY. I had such a beautiful and learning experience! The center has a plethora of information not only of Ali but also about his passion of sharing kindness. His conviction of standing up for what you believe in. I also learned about refugees and their experience with struggle and resettling! Which was one of Muhammad Ali’s greatest mission. The mission to help the people in need. When I looked at the photographs of women and children then read the story behind it, I felt their struggles and tried to hold in my tears but I couldn’t. I was so moved by the photographs that I realized how good I have it at home! Many people with the same passion have donated to this center and to also help with the awareness of refugees and resettling. I’m going to do my part and donate! Thank you for an amazing experience! I spent 2/3 hours reading and learning which was unexpected for me. I’d come back again!!!
My favorite museum in Louisville and one of my favorite in the whole country. This museum invites you to be a part of the experience and takes you on a deep look throughout his life as a professional boxer, as a civil rights leader, and as a person. Come and share your red bike moment!
Very well done. The fifth floor conference area has gorgeous views of the Ohio River.
Great place! If you're in Louisville, make sure to stop by and delve into what made Muhammad Ali a truly great fighter, and humanist.
Inspired to live a better life a life based on the 6. Principles Muhamid Ali lived!
Loved this place, filled with Lots of Great History making moments, a definite Must See when in Louisville Kentucky !
It was very nice. The security guards is very friendly.. well kind of too friendly but other than that I loved how nice it is inside and out side. The tour was a success and very awesome. my kids loved it including myself.
Really cool, lots of info about the life of Muhammad Ali and all the lives he impacted
There will never be another Ali! He truly was The Greatest!!
A very emotional museum. I don't know many people who would be dry eyed at the end of that entrance video. The exhibits were wonderful and very informative. Well worth the price of admission.
I love Muhammad Ali and his center does his legacy proud. The exhibits are interactive, moving and exciting. So much to see and read. They had an art exhibition dedicated to homeless women around the world that was stunning and haunting. Even the gift shop was top notch. Spend at least 2-3 hours to take it all in
NIce place. Very informative. You can easily spend a few hours here if you read the details and watch the available archived videos.
The Ali Center is awesome and every living being should witness this facility. It not only honors Muhammad Ali, but also demonstrates how we should love each other as human beings. Please go see for yourself!
I had high expectations for this place and it met them all... kinda. As a museum employee at the world's largest children's, I was completely amazed. The content is rich and full. However the space is organized as a one note feel. I craved more exhibit space and not just exhibits. The space is really deceptive, you assume from the outside that it is a large space for galleries and exhibits however that is not the case. I overall loved the museum, just a beautiful tribute to the world's greatest.
Well worth the admission price. History that makes a person want to strive for goodness.
This was our third time going but it's been a while and it still stood up to the greatest name and venue just like the Greatest himself! Facilities were well-maintained and the exhibits were clean and in great working order. Staff friendly and helpful!
Travelling from the uk, I couldn’t come to Louisville without visiting this place, and i was not disappointed. I learnt more about the great man, and his early struggles. I also learnt about his philanthropic other side, which he did very quietly. What a great man, i knew from reading about him, and his various titles, but after seeing it put together in this museum, i have to say, i am even more in awe of this guy.
Amazing! Loved the story of his life and his inspirational messaging. Very enjoyable displays!
One of the best museums I've ever been to. So much knowledge in this place.
Hands down tears tears tears. I was deeply moved. Best place to visit, take time and see for yourself don't be in any hurry.
Great experience. The exhibits were awesome,
Experience was awesome wish this place had tour guide this would make the experience more educational..
Nice! Very educational, I'm 64 so there were several things I witnessed during his lifetime. Didn't know he was such a philanthropist. He loved & gave of himself & money 2 many of all walks of life! I would've liked 2 have seen more of his family since that also shaped who he was. We went through the museum in a couple hours.
I recommend for everyone to pay respect to the GREATEST!
I learned quite a bit about the greatest of all time
Loved it!! Very informative and we'll done in terms of museum and interactive materials and experiences presented. Would definately go again. Also it was great to see all the kids so excited to be there too!!
It was one of a kind experience, we get to learn and see many things related to Muhammad Ali.
You'll need more than a couple of hours here. Great museum
One of the most inspiring places I have ever been to. If you come to Louisville you MUST go here. It is actually a life changing exhibit. 100% for boxing fans, and for inspiration.
Such an amazing museum. It is well designed and tells Muhammad Ali's story well.
Was very informative learned a lot of things about Muhammad Ali that I didn't know.
Friendly employees, well kept clean.
I love every minute of it!! Mr. Ali was more than just a boxer he was a beacon in his time..
The Muhammad Ali center is filled with boxing, historical and social info about the Champs life. There's always activities for ages 8-80.. one of the best gems in thur city of Louisville.
Clean friendly. So much history.
Great place to visit. I'm a big fan of Ali I really enjoyed myself. There's a lot to learn at the Center. The gift shop is great.
Excellent and thoroughly enjoyed it - learned a lot about the man, the athlete, the philanthropist and the greatest boxer of all time!
It was a great experience where you can see and feel the greatness.
Excelente place, you will enjoy a lot the floors 5 & 4!
Learned a lot about Ali at his museum today. The museum is an excellent tribute to the man.
Amazing museum, it's a must go if in Louisville even if you're not a fan of boxing. Really interesting and fun. Loved it
Wonderful museum with great artifacts and exhibits. The staff are friendly and helpful.
I think we overspent by far. Architecture aside, the navigation was a nightmare, staff were worse. A Starbuck's boardroom rental would have been better.
They were amazing in helping find both my selected piece in the exhibit as well as your. They were helpful and listened to various parts of my journey and dreams! I wish you blessings and may you find the compassion available if you should ever need it in your own journeys', all of the staff members!
Went down for the Bernie Sanders visit to Louisville! Awesome!!!
It was a great experience! This further proved why he’s the greatest. The staff was incredibly helpful and the exhibits were nice. I learned a lot about him that I didn’t know. I definitely have to come back again.
It was really nice, I thought there was going to be more interactive areas. Happy with what they did have. The kids weren't as entertained so we had to rush through a little bit. Would like to go again with just the adults.
Beautiful museum! Well-curated. Filled with interesting, thought-provoking photos, letters and videos about The G.O.A.T. Something for any visitor to Louisville to see. Give yourself time to enjoy. This is not a 30-minute, quick visit unless you're really short on time. I spent 2 hours there and wished I had 1 more hour. If you like boxing videos or are interested in seeing the impact Ali wanted to have on the world in the name of peace, you can spend several hours there.
Cool museum to a sports legend, Olympic light-heavyweight and 3-time professional heavyweight boxing champion. Many personal items, awards, and cool displays from the life of "the greatest." Not far down the street from the Louisville Slugger Museum. Another must see is his boyhood home here in Louisville.
There was something to do on every floor. You got to shadow box, get in the ring, and other interactions. It reminded me of a Smithsonian Museum... there is always a place for learning, where children children come to do projects.
Never wanted to leave a place faster! I went to the Muhammad Ali Center today as a part of my 8th Grade field trip. Was not impressed. When we got there, we proceeded to the lobby, where an employee met us. He was extremely rude and passive aggressive, telling us to sit down on the floor quietly and that we were not allowed to sit on the many benches in the lobby. He then proceeded to aggressively state the rules, explaining them as if we were a group of 1st graders. I understand that some kids my age are rowdy, but the point remains. He then led us to the cinema, where we and the other, unrelated guests were forced to watch a 15-minute "Orientation Video" about Muhammad Ali. I understand that the museum is dedicated to him, but when there is only one floor dedicated to the museum's namesake, and the only other related feature makes you feel like being trained to work there, it's not very impressive. The exhibits were boring, the staff was rude, and the gift shop was not great. The items were overpriced, but what else would I expect from a tourist trap such as The Muhammad Ali Center.
Came to Louisville with some friends and this was a place on our "must see" list. It is put together very well and the boxing and political history are interwoven to tell a compelling story. I had heard some visitors complain about some of the posters and writing but those are pieces of history and what was happening in the 60s. You cannot brush over what was happening in our world at that time otherwise you could never appreciate the challenges that Mohammed Ali faced. We did not have time to see the he non Ali portions but the whole place was amazing. We easily spent two plus hours there and could have spent much longer.
Absolutely wonderful experience. I learned so much about Muhammad Ali and the truly great person he was. He experienced so much personal growth in his life to become so caring and selfless. There was a feature on homelessness, specifically women, that was so eye-opening and humbling. You really never know what other people are going through and you should always be kind.
Great place with an wonderful example of overcoming adversity being black in the inner city to become an international icon.
A surprisingly engaging and thought provoking place to visit. I was expecting lots of boxing gloves, etc (and there are those) but it also tells his story of peace and compassion. That was the side of Ali that I did not know very well and I am glad I visited and learned more about his life. Well worth a visit!
Did not know about this center. So much fun stuff to see. Great film clips and some interactive things for visitors to try. Really learned a lot about Muhammad Ali-truly a great man! Learning of Muhammad Ali's life and his career was the highlight of our visit to Louisville. His career was one to admire and the museum brought that part of his life into focus. A place not to miss.
Great place for a gathering! Staff were there after hours even in weird places!
I love this place. I also work a lot of events here and the staff is amazing and friendly
I'm not into boxing, but this trip was on a historical expedition I attended and I was very surprised. I went in ready to leave, but I was captivated by Ali's life story. I told my husband that I want to return and spend some more time there. Ali's story is fascinating, and I learned a great deal in the short amount of time our expedition let us stay there. We were on a schedule and couldn't devote enough time to the museum. It is definitely worth the cost of the entrance fee!
Great place full of history of not only a great fighter but also a great humanitarian!
Beautiful building. I love being immersed in the legend that is Muhammad Ali. Plus they have $10 for military
I loved it but I wish I could have stayed longer. It is our inspiring and breathtaking. I could have spent a couple more hours just watching the different boxing matches that the champ fought in.
If you haven’t been you need to! The center and museum are amazing! The staff is top notch as well!
The greatest athlete of all time. This museum is a must visit to anyone visiting Louisville. The life of Muhammad Ali was a storied one. He had his share of ups and downs, but in the end he became a living legend. Park in the pay lot on 6th, and go to level 3 for museum access.
This place is amazing. Fantastic story of The Champ. Tons of history and memorabilia. A must go for visitors and locals alike.
Very nice place! I enjoyed seeing all the history about different things! Wasn't just about THE GREATEST. Each floor was a new adventure! Thanx very much for all the knowledge about separate subjects! Takes time to watch all the different films about Muhammad Ali. I loved everything about this place! I purchased a few items from the gift shop as well...
Beautiful venue! Staff is excellent delivering quality customer service
This is a wonderfully educational and entertaining place, everyone should experience. Bright and clean with a lot of history.
Great place with a lot of interesting information and Hands-On activities for families and all.
So informative! This place was packed with memorabilia as well. It was the highlight of our trip.
A must see! It has a little of everything... The boxing, the religious, the humanitarian and life at that time. The museum starts from the 5th floor and you work your way down. It's $14 and quite worth it. I went during Muhammad Ali Week and it was free on the Sunday during the festival. They had great little activities for the kids. Most of the information is on the 5th and 4th floor. I was told the parking garage is free. I walked along the waterfront from Preston Street and it was a nice walk.
A must see if/when in Louisville. Have to go back to tour all 6 floors of rooms, information, displays, and exhibits. Such a positive vibe. What a great man... So many awesome items in the store. Very friendly staff. Will be back soon.
Very Delighted that I went to see the Museum of The Greatest Boxer of all time.. Very nice staff and great price..
The staff was amazing and very welcoming! The center was very informative, enlightening and inspiring!
No coat check for a 5 floor museum. Wasn't able to view the orientation video because they kept it on hold for a large group. Don't go there on a school day unless you want to be bombarded by 50 kids on a field trip. No matter where you go, you have three different videos playing around you simultaneously. Screens with large amounts of information suddenly change to Spanish without warning. 3rd floor gallery was literally, completely barren.
It was wonderful to be able to see the life of such a great athlete and boxer and see the motivation of his madness in the ring and his triumph over his disease and make it to the Olympics it really puts a new perspective of how we think about him and his life. I visited with my lacrosse team and this museum all gave us personal motivation and gave us a new perspective of hard work that on that night we won our game. This is a very nice place to visit if visiting Louisville, Kentucky.
I finally visited and I was very impressed! The museum captures the true essence of the greatest of all time...Muhammad Ali.
Extremely informative...wonderful man who impacted all races, genders and mankind. Stood up for his beliefs and was willing to sacrifice himself for others.
Loved it. Was a eye opening experience where you learn about his boxing as well as his humanitarian side. The center is set up very well and the speed bag will break you down!
Having been a fan of Muhammad Ali, the center was plain. I was expecting more over the top, it was clean, and neat.
Not my first time being there...it's a wonderful museum, AND it's a great venue for special events!
