As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is quite high, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we may say that the valuation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Museum corresponds to the category of Museum.
It's bigger inside than I thought it would be. Interesting and inspirational information about the General.
Just reopened. Excellent refurbish and update.
A very interesting museum with great items from Gen Patton and learned alot about his career I didn't know such as he was an Olympian.
Interesting museum. I learned a lot going through it and reading about the leadership character traits
Hard to get in they act like jerks really not worth the hassle
Intertering!!!!
It's a humdinger!
I ran out of time on my visit there today, but will enjoy again tomorrow.
What a great military museum. I've been in the military for 16 years now and this is one of the best ones that I've seen. I went here for a "class trip" with 18 other senior Army leaders and it spoke to us. Concrete learning at its best! I got a feel for who Patton was and not just his accomplishments. There are other exhibits tied in such as Desert Storm war era and Civil War time frame. They have a new museum director that sat us down to get our views of the museum. You can tell she is passionate about her job and has a lot of great ideas for it. They even have an app to download that plays video or audio at some of the exhibits to make the experience even more concrete. Museum definitely invoked an emotional experience for me and my counterparts. You don't have to be affiliated with the military to understand the value of its exhibits. AND ITS FREE! Well worth the hour we spent here. **NOTE: this museum is on a military installation. If you do not have a military ID, go to the Main Gate to Fort Knox and get a pass at the visitors center located there. It will only take you the matter of 5-10 extra minutes to obtain.**
It was ok. Some of it was blocked off.
Wonderful museum! Worth the stop!
Very disappointing, most of it is gone. Not like it was back in the 90's or early 2000's
Pretty cool place! I wish the lighting was just a tad better in some places though.
Better than expected. A bit difficult to get to due to military security.
Very informative! Lots to read and see!
Very interesting!
Very interesting historical military exhibits, it is not all about General Patton, although there are many interesting facts to discover about him.
Lots of great history
We are doing construction there now, they still have a lot of the artifacts in there, pretty cool. I'll have to make a trip back when they open.
Would like to see a nice display of Vietman and other wats information.
Getting to see some history to try and imagine some of what my Grandfather experienced in WWII has become a mission of mine. And getting to visit my enlisted brother in law stationed there was great.
Love him or hate him, Patton was a brilliant strategist. He got it done. Haven't been to the museum since July 85. Looking forward to taking my nephew there this summer.
Fantastic museum
There used to be a fantastic display of tanks there, German, American and even Japanese. Now there is little, you can get through the museum in about 20 minutes. It is sad how they moved the armor out. Fort Knox was the home of Armor, but not anymore. Nothing really left to see, very sad.
They moved the German tiger tank to georgia. Sad
Would be great if website noted it's ON BASE. Rather than surprise you can't come on base as a legal CCDW and nowhere you can store it, you have to leave.
Staff was nice and the exhibits were cool
Inspiring. I left wishing we had leaders like him today.
It's a shell of what it used to be.....getting in to the post was not pleasant..... Security officials were very rude.
Very cool, great prices
Awesome place for a visit
Love this experience. Got a lot of information
Cleaning up & getting things ready to open back up April 16, 2019.
Love going here!
This used to be an Excellent Military Armor Museum. I live in the Midwest, and This 'Was' The 'Only' Major U.S Military History Museum in my part of the Country. Apparently, sometime in the last five years or so (2016), they REMOVED All Of The Excellent Quality/Historical Tanks and Vehicles In the Museum !!!! There is still a "Museum" there, But It NO LONGER Contains The MAJORITY of BEST PIECES OF THE OLD MUSEUM'S COLLECTION!!!! Originally, Outside the museum, along the walkway to the building entrance, were several restored American tanks. From the period roughly from WWII to Vietnam. However, inside the museum, there Was a small, but Significant, collection of Original Restored American and foreign Military Armor Vehicles. The museum was Excellent in that it's collection included some of the most Interesting, Important, and Iconic Military Tanks/Armored vehicals throughout the history of such vehicals. With all being, authentic, original, and restored pieces. No replicas, models, etc. These included Tanks such as; one of the very first "Tanks" invented. An original, restored, British WWI "Tank". The WWII room, included Vehicles Such as the iconic American Sherman. A German Panzer IV, Panzer V "Panther" (Rare) , and most amazing of all, a German "King" Tiger Tank (Extremely Rare!!!) . The German "King"(or "Royal") Tiger Tank, was/is, incredably unique and rare. There are only a Very Few, intact and restored original "King" Tiger's, left in the world !!! The museum also had an original, restored iconic Russian T-34 Tank. That vehicle was a Genuine WWII Era T-34 Tank. (the Russians built versions after the war up into the1960's, and some museums display those later models) . Finally, what I remember best about visiting The Patton Museum, was on every Fourth of July Holiday (at least for several years in the late 1990's and early 2000's when I visited), the Patton Museum held a "WWII American/German Tank Battle "Re-enactment". On the Fourth of July Holiday, WWII Era "Re-enactment" Groups, from all over the country, would get together (for a 3 day period). And on the grounds next to The Patton Museum, they would "Re-enact", a ficticious "Tank Battle". Most amazingly, Using original/restored WWII Vehicles [Tanks, Half-tracks, American Jeeps, German 'Trucks/Kubelwagons', even Anti-Tank Guns, etc !!!]. All of The Tanks, and some of the vehicles, were Actually TAKEN out of the Patton Museum, Restored/Repaired, Back to Working Order, and Used in the usually three hour long event !!!! To see Original Tanks Vehicles from WWII, Actually Running!!!, and "Firing"!!! (Blank Ammunitition); Was Truly a Sight to See !!!. I took, and still have, many Amazing Pictures from those events. As well as the Fantastic Memories of those days. ! Some of the Re-enactors and Attendees, were Actual WWII Veterans !!!. And I Was able to Sit and Talk with those (Then Elderly) WWII Veterans !!! I heard some great First Hand Stories, and Learned Things you would never find out by just reading a history book. But, those events (and the museum's Excellent contents) are No Longer available/ held at The Patton Museum. They have since moved all of the Indoor (The Best) Tanks and Vehicles Collections, from the Patton Museum, Down to Fort Benning ,Georgia. Were, as I Understand that As Of Today, they are still Trying To Raise Enough Money; TO BUILD A MUSEUM BUILDING ( i.e. There Is 'NO' MUSEUM QUALITY BUILDING YET EXISTING !!!!). WERE THEY CAN "DISPLAY" (TO THE PUBLIC), THE TANKS AND VEHICLES THEY MOVED FROM THE 'EXISTING' FORT KNOX PATTON 'MUSEUM BUILDING' !?!?
Very nice displays for kids, even adults to see the tanks and equipment.
My wife and I attempted to visit the Museum on Monday, the 13th of May 2019. The open hours on the Museum reflect 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. To our disappointment the Museum was closed. We were very disappointed. The suggestion to the Museum Staff from us is keep your web pages up dated or take it down. vr SGM Gerald Young (Ret)
Nice place telling history of one of America's greatest generals. Lots of cool stuff. Wish they had m1abrams , would be nice
Visited many years ago & then it seemed like just an army museum. Today it is more focused on Patton himself. It is still in the works inside since the remodel reopening in spring 2019. I wished they would have left all the tanks in place outside. Was always a favorite for the kids to look at & climb on.
Good place to learn more about history
Closed until 1 May 2018 for renovations.
Getting into Fort Knox is, well, like getting into Fort Knox. Background checks are required to get on base. Suitable for military and history buffs, for which I am neither. But, lots to see if this is your cup of tea.
Place is pretty well laid out and renovations are nice. Getting into the museum is an ordeal though. They should make an entrance to the museum that doesn't involve actually going into Fort Knox.
Now that the renovation is complete ( well almost there is still work going on in the back corner) the museum is incredible lots of Patton quotes and lots to learn about leadership in there
Made the whole drive to see this museum, like military stuff and alway happy to lern something beside my work. Well, sadly for U.S. Citizens only, otherwise you are free to leave where you came from.. ;( to pity On the website they say open to the public, such note would be helpful to avoid such unpleasant situation
The Patton museum used to be the best armor display in the United States. The and armor outside and all the fantastic recreation displays were second to none. I was so excited to bring my 8 year old son to the museum. I am retired 19D Cav Scout and my son has so many questions. I thought the Patton museum would’ve been perfect but to my disappointment the museum has been converted to a waste of tax payer money with weak displays made of fabric in an effort to take up space. It’s now a montage to Gen Patton since they mothballed all the fantastic historical armor in some warehouse in Georgia. I’m sure we will never see any of that armor again. The Patton Armor Museum RIP.
Great, nice visit.
You have to visit
Great musuem
Very informative experience. Can't wait to go again and check out the new exhibits that are under construction.
Great collection on Patton
Go here if you get a chance. Guy was a legend! Very interesting and unbelievable pieces of the generals life on display.
The museum is closed for 6 months. Call first or you’ll get the same surprise we did.
Love the wide range of history it has on display.
Crazy interesting stuff. I'll remember a lot of the history I learned here and try to implement the lessons going forward in my career as an officer!
Pretty good as these sort of museums go, but they moved almost all the tanks to Fort Benning, I was told. Lots and lots of Patton memorabilia.
Very good to learn the history
Very good Museum
Love it. Didn't realize there was do much I didn't know. About to visit this place again in two weeks! A must visit if you're in the area.
Great museum. Has a lot of unique historical items (e.g. General Patton's Cadillac) from a variety of time periods (mostly WWII but you can find things from WWI, Korean War, Desert Storm and even a fire truck damaged during 9/11). The only downside is that, like the vast majority of museums, many displays are not photo friendly due to insufficient lighting or reflections in the glass.
Lots of great memorabilia of Patton.
A great insite to the thought process of a great Gener
Very cool free place to visit. Oh and if an RVer you can see his lol.
Great museum
Was very nice when we were there.
Really nice museum. I learned a lot and really enjoyed going.
Amazing war museum. Free and self paced. 1 hour to see it quickly, but 2 if you want to read everything.
I learned something new.
Absolutely a great experience. Very educational.. I'm so thankful for the men and women that serve our country.
Great stuff on General Patton and other leaders. Not sure how accessible as this is on Fort Knox.
5 Stars for the General and his memoir
Very informative.
So well done. They covered everything. The good and bad. Great for students. They pose questions to promote critical thinking and discussion.
Nice little free museum with alot to show.
What a fantastic military museum! The items are wonderfully displayed with pertinent and interesting facts about each item. If you're a military buff (or not) you absolutely must see this museum!!
Museum is a great look at the life of Patton, his leadership styles, and a very well put together museum artifacts from around the world. I highly recommend this museum. Bring some cash as this is a donation run museum and helps keep it funded.
This was a great place to visit, on grounds of Fort Knox, it is full of WW2 tanks and APC, as well as restored 1938 Cadillac in which the General was fatally injured in 1945. Many decorations, umiforms and history displays tell his story in an awe inspiring way, including his famous pearl handled pistols. He was an Olympic fencing champion in his youth, and most famous for his aggressive style of leadership in the service of his country. Just beware, you have to get into Fort Knox first to access the museum. So best to leave any illegal substances at home.
Interesting place good history
It is closed to the public right now and the static displays that are out don't have signs.
Nice well maintained musem. If you like history it is a must go. "Old Blood & Guts" is a legend and I'm glad to have had the oppurtunity to learn, more about him. I will take my family when they visit. The gift shop has some neat little items as well.
Outstanding Leadership Quotes with exceptional exhibits!
Absolutely a jewel of a museum!!! You have to go to the main gate to get a pass to go on the installation, but the patton museum of leadership is awesome. Tons of artifacts, great layout, and program!!
Excellent however not as many tanks as I hoped to see
Great place lots of interesting history facts and items
Good place.
Was a good place to learn about Patton they had a decent amount of artifacts. It's no Infantry Museum by any means but nice to visit if you're on Ft Knox
Under construction and virtually EMPTY!!
A must see memorial to one of America’s true heroes!
Worth seeing, especially if you're interested in WWII. Museum brings Patton the legend alive. Many of his quotes are, well, quotable and memorable. Get ready for a potentially long wait at the base entry station; take a number (literally) and have a seat. By the way, you must use the Chaffee Gate on East Bullion Blvd off of US-31W, NOT the base main gate. Lots of memorabilia, including the staff car in which he was injured. We'd visit again.
For those of you looking for tanks and Apc's like it had years ago. Understand Ft knox is no longer the Armed training center. The Cav and Armor trining center is at Ft Benning now. They have moved alot of vehicles down there and restoring them for the 2022 opening of the new Cav and armor museum. This is The Gen Patten museum focused on his life. It worth a tour.
Lots of history! you need a few hours to see and read everything.
Great place to take the kids for free!
The history is amazing. He was an undeniable military power house. The picture tho is from GEN Colin Powell.
I remember going to the patton museum when I was a kid, seeing all the different tanks and armored vehicles. I think the Tiger 2 with the cut out hull was my favorite. But for some reason they decided to take almost all the tanks out of the patton so they could put then in a museum which isn't even built yet. The tanks are just sitting in a warehouse at Ft. Benning. Now older tanks from WW1 and WW2 are becoming sparse and not so easily available for museums to find and purchase. I hope that they will make the right choice and rebuild the museum to what it once was.
What a great place, so much to see!
Very interesting to see all the Patton item's.
Nice museum
Great place to see bring the family
Underwhelming since the majority of the armor exhibits have been sent off to other installations. The collection is nice and nicely presented, just not what it used to be.
Incredible museum. Largest collection of items associated to one person you will ever see. Beautifully arranged and displayed. Thank you to the U.S. Army for their service & vigilance, guarding the depository & Fort Knox.
Wonderful experience with our grandkids
Lots of militaru vehicles and information
Absolutely great
A must see. An amazing place for our freedom to be displayed. Thanks to all who serve.
Excellent tribute!
Great place
This was an excellent museum
Great museum lots of historical things that belonged to General Patton.
Have to agree with other reviewers, the Patton Museum, like Ft Knox itself, is a shell of what it used to be. They chopped up the museum's collection and sent most everything non-Patton related away. What's left is a nice tribute to "Old Blood & Guts" but it's not the must-see that we remember it once was. :(
This place is nice since the remodel also has a banquette / meeting room.
Free !but hard to get to need to open 31w gate !
While visiting Fort Knox, the Patton Museum offers an educational way to spend an hour or two.
I was excited to be able to visit the museum, I checked out the reviews and was unsure if it would be worth the time to visit the museum however, I threw caution to the wind and went. I didn't realize that we would face closed off street after closed off street to make the entrance to the museum, which is on base. At this point, I was very ill about not being able to locate the entrance, maybe it was my fault. However, when we found the entrance gate, we were told that we had to go to the Vistor's Center, obtain a ticket and wait to speak to someone to gain entrance to the base. I know it's a military base but, as a private citizen, the experience should have been easier for us to attend the museum. I would not recommend this as a destination for someone in the private sector to attend.
Really interesting
I think this may be one of the best tank museums in the country.
Very interesting
History
Disappointed. Visiting the museum as someone who seen it a few years ago, I have to admit, the museum is NOTHING like it was then. Let me be the one to politely advise you, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Not much to see at all, VERY basic.
Great experience visiting this museum. Lots of history and learn about the life of General Patton.
Needless to say, collections are being moved to Benning some, but still quite a good tribute to Patton overall. There are still a few outdoor exhibits as well.
Recently renovated and reopened (summer 2018).
For someone who may not have known that much about General Patton, I left this Museum overwhelmed with knowledge. I am so thankful that I decided to go to this Museum. A friend of mine is retiring after 23 years in the Army and I was in town to celebrate his retirement and he recommended that I visit the museum. It was very inspiring and I can understand why the troops loved him. I would highly recommend visiting this Museum.
Severly Disappointing. Back in the day this museum had Armor. Now it only has a drop in the bucket of what used to be there. Took my son thinking it be great for him to see all the tanks and equipment. Can not believe that they even removed the vehicles outside. See in the picture here how they just took the stuff away and left the concrete pads.. Very sad. Found out the vehicles went to Benning and not even on display but locked up in storage.
Not a huge museum but it doesn't need to be. Learn about George S. Patton's life, career, death, and legacy in an hour long walk between historic clothing, small arms, tanks, and artillery pieces.
Great experience for all ages!
May God have mercy on our enemies, because I won't. GEN Patton
I work there!
Great place
Great experience more history than just about Gen Patton. Awesome,
Missing most of its tanks and is shut down for renovations please avoid till around october or december
There used to be so much more here, now there is next to nothing. There is one room with Patron's stuff and that is it. There used to be a lot of stuff and different displays now they are all gone. Don't waste your time here until it is re-modelled in 2012 or 2013 when they has something worth seeing.
This was an awesome museum for an amazing American. I highly recommend coming here.
If you are anywhere close by... This is a great place to visit.
Awesome to see
Nice place in keeping with the other southern military museums, who are rightly proud of their heritage.
Didn't know the Armour Museum was no longer a part of the Patton Museum. Very disappointing. Wanted the grandkids to see where their Pappaw, Mom and Dad all spent time to train.
A lot of history if you’re lucky to get on the base too see it
Great information on George Patton and becoming an Army officer. One exhibit is under construction currently.
Awesome place to visit, and it's free, there is a donation box.
Hardly anything there. Not easy to get into
Patton would be embarrassed of he were to visit this museum! Terrible waste of time!
I loved the greatest wwii museum I've been too. I loved the tanks and guns too!!!
Great display of Gen. Patton's personal items. Not a large museum, good size for families with children...
Interesting museum. Make sure you go to the visitor gate if you are not military!
Loved it! Everything a boy would love to see! Tanks, guns, etc!
Enjoyable experience. Free. Donations suggested.
Very interesting
Very historic
This museum makes war fun.
Amazing facility and knowledgeable staff. This team is ready to help host any event.
Interesting collection of Patton artifacts. Worth the effort to gain entry.
Behind schedule on renovation unsure or grand reopening date
Great tribute to General Patton and his outstanding out in front leadership style
Disappointed. I got stuck in Louisville for business for the weekend and thought I would visit Ft Knox and the Patton museum. Checked the website to confirm hours and drove 50 miles to get there only to find out they are closed for repairs till April 16th 2019. Would have been nice if this was mentioned on their webpage! I went here 34 years ago when I graduated OSUT for Cav Scouts and remember some pretty cool Armor and unique static pieces outside. Most everything is gone. A Bradley, M60, M48, M4 and a couple of M59 APC are all that remain. And a couple of howitzers. Also found out there is no longer any Armor at Knox. I knew they moved Cavalry Scout training elsewhere but I thought the DAT's would still be there and maybe get to see some bone heads marching around singing cadence. The base is almost like a big ghost town. Only one gate is open. Very little going on around the base. Went by my old barracks and some of the training areas and looks like it is used for Cadidiots now. Stuff changes as you get old... Garry Owen!
Great exhibit on warfare and Pattons life
Wish they had more tanks. Otherwise a great historical record of the great general
Nice museum with some good heavy armor pieces and a glimpse into Patton's earlier lufe. Worth the stop, can't beat a good free museum.
Awesome displays.
